I drank PP tea 3 cups per day for about 8 weeks prior to my attempt. I had heard that you should not take it in the 2ww so after our first attempt this month, I stopped it after O. While I tried to keep my blood sugar low, I found I was MUCH hungrier without the tea. I tried replacing it with other drinks but it didn't help. Since I am not pregnant, I just restarted the tea and instantly, I am not hungry and it is easier to avoid snacking, I feel full longer, etc.
Does anyone know if it is safe to take in the 2ww? I feel like it would help a lot as it would be so much easier to stick to my routine.

peppermint tea is one of the drinks that is SAFE in pregnancy, so you can still drink a couple of cups of it in the 2ww

No more than 2 cups tho because higher dosages have been linked to miscarriage.

What is the difference between peppermint and spearmint to in regards to swaying? I've been drinking spearmint.

I think they do much the same. I know spearmint also balances hormones.

They are basically the same and I wouldn't worry about it if you prefer spearmint. I've seen positive studies on both. Peppermint prob. has more calcium or something which may be why IG suggests it, but for hormonal purposes, both pep and spearmint work.

After my experience with how it changed my appetite, I wonder if it "works" for swaying by helping us keep our glucose low rather than (or in addition) to the hormonal effect.

That could very well be the case! Thanks for sharing!
I notice that sometimes when I have drunk it (gives me horrid heartburn so I only drink it when I am stuffy) it almost makes me a little bit sick, so I can see how it can diminish appetite!

is the tea better? or could you just take the peppermint oil pills? and how does it cause m/c? I might just stay away from it :/

Pep oil is too concentrated and much riskier than the tea.
Pep tea is closely related to another plant, pennyroyal, that was traditionally used to cause abortions in the days before birth control. not sure how it works.
I personally would NOT drink the PT in the 2WW
