lemon - I'm soooooo sorry, sweetie! I would have bet good money on that BFP. Try to see the positive - now you can work on a sway you can be happy with and have no regrets. :HH:

Sorry lemon. Boo. How many dpo are you? I am screaming in my head for you, hugs.

pinkin-were you trying to attempt or did your dh miss a fr day, or am I way off with both guesses? sorry, I am having a hard time keeping up with so many posts!

Hi girls,
Thanks so much for the support.
I know it sounds weird, but I would have bet a million bucks I was pg by 12 dpo bc of the sore bbs. They were brutal,...never felt that before. Now I feel normal pms....did it just not take? I am never late....my luteal phase is always the same!

Peony,...I know, it sounds like I am upset about my sway. The thing is, no matter what I will question my sway until I know the sex and then I will wish I had done something different. I know me, and that is me! I will never be satisfied unless I feel super confident and with gender selection it really is just 50-50 at the end of the day.

pinkin..you are beautiful! Love the pic! What happened? 3 releases yesterday and then nothing today? DH did 3 releases on a Friday, dtd on a sat and by Sun he said there was nothing.....he thinks that sometimes there is nothing and other times it replenishes...no rhyme or reason!

I am so sad, I have cramps and backache and total pms symptoms!

Dare I say, no sway next month,,,,if that is at all possible???
I have eaten chips and dip, nachos, burgers, fries, steak, potatoes, you name it...I ate it!
BACON! Bacon wrapped water chestnuts doused in sauce!!!!!!!!
Seriously, BOYS are what my environment clearly likes.
UGH!

Off to play with the boys...just thought I would add my comments and thanks!
The computer is in the kitchen...where we all live!! lol!

Thanks again!

Agreed about families opinions, I feel your pain. My family has voiced there opinion about us even having a third! People should just do what is right for them!

I have a question for you ladies. So last month I had to take medicine to get my period as it had been so long since I had one. Then I took clomid on cycle day 5-9, o'd on cycle day 21 the 24th of Dec, (did not attempt due to freaking out about my diet) and am spotting or starting my period now the 3 of Jan. Is that too soon to be starting? I mean, is my luteal phase too short? That would make it 10 or 11 days. Is it b/c of the pep tea? Or is that ok? Thanks.

Pink!!! I just saw your picture. Hey there, BEAUTIFUL!!!

lemon2012
January 3rd, 2012, 08:38 PM
AMARI,....it might be normal.
I used clomid for two months years ago for DS 1.
I od on cd 16 or 17 and then cd18 or 19. I had a 28 day cycle the first month (so short luteal) and then I was pg the second month and knew at 11 dpo.
You are good!!!!

lemon2012
January 3rd, 2012, 08:45 PM
THAT IS A LOT OF FR!!!!
WOW!
DH did 9 times in 6 days I think...he thought it was a lot. We are going to omit that next time.
Too much releasing....maybe try in the morning?

pinkin2011
January 3rd, 2012, 09:05 PM
I am just going to have one attempt think will try later today, its 12pm here so might try early evening.. I am not sure if i should do JandD tho... I dont want to have no chance.. I used Rephresh at 5 am this morning not knowing my opk was going to be positive at 8 am!!!

pinkin2011
January 3rd, 2012, 09:24 PM
sorry amari just saw your post... No d/h would be releasing today anyway but its just i was not expecting to get a +opk today and d/h just was not ready to dtd when i wanted him to so now we will be dtd like 8 hrs after first + opk.. shattered but i cant not ttc the gap will be too big between my d/s and the baby. he needs a brother or a sister

xokatietatie
January 3rd, 2012, 09:32 PM
Would it help if you pleasured him instead of DTD and then just had him insert when time? That's what DH and I are going to do when it comes time.

pinkin2011
January 3rd, 2012, 09:40 PM
That would help didnt think of that.. good idea! should i do a j and d? Hey I have no EWCM at all... so strange

xokatietatie
January 3rd, 2012, 09:46 PM
I think if you're doing things to sway it can make it so there's no CM. EWCM will favor boy, right?

pinkin2011
January 3rd, 2012, 09:48 PM
yeah it is meant to sway boy, i just find it strange that i dont have any

pinkin2011 - not sure I am following this correctly but I think you are good to go. You have in your favor that you took the rephresh this morning so if you dtd once tonight you should be great. Since you are dtd so close to o I would definitely do a jump and dump immediately after (or 1-2 minutes later). You have totally been keeping up with fr so no worries, his sperm count is low. Good luck

I am going for my yearly exam in the am and I wanted to get your opinion on what I should ask for Femara or Clomid. I believe Clomid is for girls right? I won't be able to use it this cycle, but I will hopefully have it ready for the next. Also going to talk to OB about some progesterone as well. What do you all think?

Thanks girls , I will be getting d/h to have a hot shower before we dtd tonight and i will do a jump and dump just after. I have my salt lamp on in the lounge and my beeswax candle burning and a few other things, d/h is sitting on the couch and he just says to me gee i really feel so much negative energy around me in a funny voice... he thinks its a big joke!

Thanks RainbowFlower! I will make sure he takes one! lol.
So today was day 1 of the le diet, and well I suck, I went over in my sodium and not all calories eaten, I still have to go food shopping which will happen on dh day off.
Trying to figure out if I want to take sudafed or benadryl to get rid of ewcm. If anyone can help me out that is appreciated. I plan to begin repHresh on the 10th since I ovulate late I want to make sure I am covered that time. Is there any other lubricant besides sylk that favors girl? If not can someone explain this sylk method to me? You use it how long before sex?

Noticed a change in bleeding earlier tonight so hopefully af is gone by thursday!! :) we are going to dtd up until 2 days before ovulation. Then again after ovulation. :)
Also is drinking coca cola ok?

Sorry Lemon about your bfn! I will keep :fx: for you!

If you don't mind me asking mochagirl...when did you dtd? Was it once or multiple? Did you use any douche's?

My chart is in my siggie, and you can get a lot of info from that. DH released from CD4 until CD9, then we dtd on CD10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. I O'd on CD15. We weren't planning that many attempts, but I thought I was going to O earlier than I did. I used Rephresh on CD 7, 10 and 12, and was also taking Zyrtec once a day. I was pretty hardcore with the LE diet, even though we were staying across the country with my in-laws for the week I O'd - it meant a lot of sneaking around and eating side dishes instead of the main course, but I made it work.

The opk is actually positive its the same colour as control line.. i have never seen d/h so excited hes like a little kid, but could it be positive because its am

I've read that it can be a false positive from FMU. Is that what you used or just am. I used FMU one month and drive myself bonkers trying to figure out if it was a false positive or not. I was using clear blue digitals which say u can use FMU. I even called the company and they said it was fine.

Lemon I'm so sorry about the negative test :( On the positive side though you can sway a little. I know what you mean about questioning yourself no matter what, I am the exact same way. In the end whatever happens is meant to be i guess.
Pinkin - I thought you were just a couple days ahead of me ( can't remember exactly) you are O really early. Good luck on your attempt. Did you check your cervix to see if it correlates to your +opk?

You can also use Zyrtec. There is a thread somewhere about reasons not to use sudafed-mostly because of the increased risk of having a stroke... Sylk is just a lube that you would use when dtd. I do not believe there are other girl friendly lubes.

lemon - sorry for the bfn. Hope it's a shy one. You're definitely not out until the witch shows!

pinkin - I get my best results on the cheapies with FMU. The reason they say not to do it is because those with short surges might miss the surge that way. I have a long surge so it's not an issue for me.

I find it helps me to make my menu for the day in the morning and stick to it. That wasy I can alter things up before I eat them so I don't find myself at 10pm totally everything and saying "shoot, I need more calories, or less sodium..." etc.
I would take zyrtec. I am planning to take that from end of af til day before o. That should help you dry up cm. USe the rephresh every 3 days, that will help keep ph low. Sylk is the only lube I have heard that is girl friendly b/c is has a low ph. You can use it right before dtd. The best way is to put it on your dh's 'thing'. That way you make sure it gets all up in there and in all the nooks and crannies in you. You can drink coke, just watch you calories. Drink diet (that is good for lowering ph) and if you are in need of adding calories to your day you can drink the sugar coke to add calories.

pinkin, good luck!

Lemon, so sorry it's not a BFP :( I totally understand how you must feel, but I know you've been swaying a lot longer than me....

They have a biggest loser contest going on at work and the winner at the beginnign of april gets 400 dollars! I'm so going to try to lose all the weight I can so that when April comes, I can start TTC'ing again! I feel like this is just more motivation...I'm going to get a weight loss ticker since I've been dyinng to get some kind of ticker....I am going to start working out now, but I'm not going hardcore until I see AF show up next week...

I really don't think I'm pregnant, but there's this nagging little worry in the back of my head, LOL.

She knows I've always wanted four, but she just has to put her two cents in. I love her dearly, but I don't always feel emotional support from her. Of course, if I try to tell her how I feel I am this big bad wolf and she is so broken over it, and then we fight over it. I just want to know that if/when the days comes that I announce we're expecting that my mother will be happy for me... but instead I'll probably get lectured. If I admit we actively tried to get pregnant the lecture will be about money and how three kids is enough. If I shamefully lie and say it was a pleasant surprise, the lecture will be about how we should have been smarter and more careful. I can't win. We're 25 and 26 years old. We live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood. DH has a great job. My business is growing more and more successful with every passing day. We've got three wonderful boys who are growing into wonderful young men. Who cares if we have one more? We have the space. We have the money. We have the love. She'd say we don't have enough money though, and that four is so many, and blah blah blah. I just don't want to have to go through it with her, but it is what it is. Everyone thinks we're insane for wanting more, which is why we're not talking to anyone about it. If I didn't have all of you, I would probably go crazy.

HUGS, HUGS, HUGS!!!:hug2: I had the same kind of thing going on w/my Mom. Why are the people who are supposed to love us unconditionally the ones who end up hurting us the most sometimes?!? My Mom has kind of backed off now after my m/c, especially b/c it was a girl and I know she's always wanted a girl grandchild (and I'm her only hope for that).

Mocha, I'm so sorry about what your brother said. HUGS to you too! :HH: I would have been in tears and probably said something I may have regretted. :( You've got a sweet bean joining you again now, though! :awe:

January 4th, 2012, 11:11 AM
Thanks, Jen. I'm used to comments like that from my other brothers, but this brother seemed to be the only one who understood my desire to have a girl. Now I guess I know his true feelings....

I also find it tough because my Mom, who's my best friend, tries her best to be outwardly supportive, but I can tell she thinks this isn't a good idea. I think the m/c scared her and she would have been far happier if I'd decided not to try again. She also really despised the idea of the LE diet and it's one of the reasons I made an effort to eat lots of food in front of her this weekend. I know it's just cause she's worried about me and doesn't want me to go through the heartbreak of another m/c or finding out I'm having another boy, but I can't help but feel a sting from her very well concealed disapproval (which I only notice because I know her so well).

Hi everyone,

BFN

All afternoon I felt different and stressed. My ovaries are burning and I just did not know what was going on so I was afraid to test.
NOTHING, not even a little line.
I am devastated.

I am sooooo sorry...MEGA HUGS to you, Lemon! Last cycle, I felt much the same way...I knew I was pregg and alas, BFN staring me down on Christmas, and then the next day, and the next...I'm your age too and the clock is ticking for me...This will be our very last shot at a girl. AGHHHH the stress! :( Hang in there, I'll keep cheering you on, sister! :cheer: :hugs:

Somewhere I heard that the best time to take an OPK is around 2pm so I've always stuck to that and only take them once a day, always at 2pm. It seems to really work well for me and it gives me a good picture of where I am O-wise. Hope you guys catch that :pinksperm: very soon!!!

I haven't gotten a chance to respond to you in a while but wanted to say that as much as you want to be preggers NOW, I think it's a great plan to try to lose weight and TTC in April. I highly suggest taking a look at MyFitnessPal.com as it's super easy to use, there is a supportive and very knowledgeable community there (I'm there too, ), it made losing weight a no-brainer for me and it's FREEEEEEE!!!! Almost to the end of AF! Cd 4 hoping she leaves tomorrow!
Been finalizing plans for this cycle and I am beginning to feel better about our plans so far. My only thing is trying to figure out when to take repHresh. I ovulate cd 17 or cd 19 sometimes so I want both days to be covered. When would you guys take it?
Today I am going grocery shopping, I am hopping on board with the LE diet. Yesterday was my first attempt which didn't go over soo well. So I went on here and stole some Recipes that Atomic had posted. Let's see if today's attempt is better! I hope all is well with everyone! Anyone ovulating soon?? :)

You can take it every 3 days from the end of your AF til you have confirmed o. If you do not want to take it that often(though it is not too much), then I would suggest cd13, 16, 19. That should definitely cover you.

I used it before and you generally do get some discharge your first few times. I did not get enough to need panty liners, I just saw it when I wiped. No worries with the discharge, its normal and will stop after you've used a few applicators.

Just waiting for the real AF to show up.
Not sure why I am late...isn't the luteal phase always the same???

I am sooooo sorry...MEGA HUGS to you, Lemon! Last cycle, I felt much the same way...I knew I was pregg and alas, BFN staring me down on Christmas, and then the next day, and the next...I'm your age too and the clock is ticking for me...This will be our very last shot at a girl. AGHHHH the stress! :( Hang in there, I'll keep cheering you on, sister! :cheer: :hugs:

THANKS OOTB!
What is your plan this month?
Something has to give...wasn't supposed to be the diet but I was done with it and needed to eat and chill over Christmas!
Now I have gained 4 lbs!!!
I go back to work on Monday.

Please, any cool recipes?
We will go out to a restaurant once more (how I love my kids and give in to their desires..lol) so what should I eat?

Finally, no rephresh I guess......but wondering about dtd. DH is not into FR at all and really does not want to do it and does not think it sways girl at all. I kind of wonder....why does it?

OOTB, did you think you were pregnant?
I have never ever felt my bbs the way I did last week. They just felt bigger and to touch them was sore. Now I am late but spotting which is normal just before and I am sure AF is probably right there! So, do you think something tried to take and just didn't?
Not sure...just trying to be hopeful.

Well I had d/h release yesterday no attempt because my opk went lighter as the day went on???? They were never REAL positive but close to... anyway i know my body well and i feel i have not ovulated yet but i have no idea why this happened. Was like my body was ready to o but stopped! No ewcm at all and my cervix ws low and hard still so i knew it couldnt of been happening. I am just going to keep testing probably 3 times a day or more knowing me! I guess i will still be oing around the 9th or 10th... Lets see.

How are you going Katie?????( BIG HUGS) I hope you are feeling a bit better.

How is everyone else going?? Anyone fairly close to a Attempt too?

Hi ladies can I join? I try to come on as much as possible, I used to go on plumlily and go on BC and Ingender too. I have 2 boys and going to try swaying pink from April. I am very nervous. Since the start of Jan I have been starting to introduce more yoghurt milk etc into my diet, cutting down on the big nos like read meat. I quit my cereal every morning habit about 4 months ago. I will be doing the diet much more strictly in the 6 weeks prior to TTC. I think I am going for a cut off with possibly o+12 too. I have started calcium citrate, folic acid, cranberry and magnesium and DH will soon be starting cranberry and liqorice root. I think I will go on saw palmetto too. I am going for rephresh and lots of ion stuff. My main worry is abstinence or frequent. I dont think we could do frequent we tried that with DS2 but found it all too much pressure every day so I am thinking abstinence may be best for us (we are under 30 so shouldnt be a prob age wise). I am so keen for our third and last child to be a girl x

Hey, Jennibel -- welcome!

Hey, Pink -- I'm doing okay, just feeling really quiet today. I'm still kind of down, worrying about people not being happy for us. I don't want to dwell on it though! I know that once we are pregnant, people will eventually move past their disapproving attitudes and be happy for us. Not too much going on with me other than that though.

I've been keeping up reading everyone's posts, just haven't got much to say. I just wish AF would go away so I could start using OPKs and actively be part of the "trying" process. ;) I'm just feeling impatient, I guess. I just want to POAS!!!!

I am trying to read and catch up on all the posts, so please bear with me.

Welcome Jennibel!

I had my yearly exam today around 11am, and I now have the startings of a UTI!!! I am so mad LOL!!!

My OB agreed that we would start Clomid next cycle and see if I need progesterone supplements after my 21-day progesterone blood test next Friday. I am excited and thinking I should wait till next month? How does Clomid sway girl? Also, should I stop taking the Saw Palmetto? What kind of girl sway do you do when on Clomid? Anyone have suggestions? What supplements, jellies, and so forth work well with Clomid?

Also, my OB kept pushing on my uterus and told me that it was enlarged, but that was pretty normal for someone who has 4 kids and been pregnant 5 times. She told me if we don't get pregnant after the Clomid, she wants to do a scan to make sure all is okay. I have had an ultrasound last year to check it as well and it turned out fine, just that it is retro-flexed. And she even said she would refer me to a fertility specialist, but I would have to come back to her for the delivery a 5th c-section cringe...I must be crazy to do this a 5th time LOL!!!

KraizyDaizy - you should do a search for posts asking about Clomid and girl sways because there's been lots of talk about it in the past, but basically Clomid sways pink by making your cm hostile. You'll need to drop a lot of the other girl sway stuff (like jellies/antihistimines/timing) to make sure you get pregnant while you're on the Clomid because you won't be able to stay on it for too long. Good luck!

Finally, no rephresh I guess......but wondering about dtd. DH is not into FR at all and really does not want to do it and does not think it sways girl at all. I kind of wonder....why does it?

This is just my opinion, but I do not think that fr helps having a girl, not unless you have dh release twice a day. I think it lowers the amount of sperm but does not change the ratio. Where as abstinence lowers the sperm amount and I think it sways the ratio towards more girls because with the boys being more fagile I would think they would be the first one's to die and be unable to survive....not syaing all the boys would die off, but I think more boys than girls of those that do. This is just my theory. During my 1st IVF cycle my husband did not release for 2.5 days before giving his sample. We had 6 boys and 1 girl. My 2nd cycle I had him release everyday for 5 days prior to giving his sample and that time we had 4 girls and 1 boy, and my 3rd cycle the same thing and that time was 5 boys and 4 girls. I think if the sperm count is healthy - like if he has released within the past 6 days -- then it is pot luck...there will be both healthy boys and girls. I don't know why I just think the 1st release after a long abstinence would have more healthy girls in it and less healthy boys.
Thoughts?

Welcom Jennibel! F/R is hard trust me my d/h has been doing it since 21st of dec once a day sometimes twice and THREE times in a day mostly once tho I am finding it stressful.... I am seriously thinking if we dont get a bfp this month i might really try and get him to abstain.

Katie it will all work out I am sure of it! I know what its like having people like that around you although mine are for different reasons, But just keep your mind on your goal and dont let anyone make you upset or put you off, Its horrible having that kind of worry and stress on you.. But i hope you feel better about it soon, Family is a hard one tho hey?

It is funny because I think the same thing....FR sways girl...as it depletes over time..is that what you think?
The only difference is that twice a day is overkill when DH is not used to it...I just think your body adjusts. A lot of men release and think nothing of it, so they need twice a day. My DH never ever releases....I believe him. So, last month when we bd and FR 9 times in 6 days,....well, it just wasn't the same! He was able to perform but barely. Does that make sense?
Anyone else contribute?

I also think abstaining sways girl.
Same reason...the boys die off first.

So, here is the funny part...DS 2 was a 2 day cut off and abstain. I still believe it...lol!

It is hard for me because we tried to get d/h to abstain and by the 6th day that was it he just cant do it.....So really we have no other choice but to f/r. I do think twice a day is over kill but i think twice a day every third day is good.

pinkin2011...do you think age matters?
I ask because you look so young and maybe younger dh should release more often. DH actually looked it up (as I said he was not keen on subsituting the real thing for hot water) and he said that the internet basically says your body responds to your needs. If DH releases a lot then I think he would have to do it more often as his body will replenish often. But, if DH does not release a lot then maybe a few releases do the same thing.
Just my theory. Next month, DH will not be doing tooooo much,....I want the spermies in me:)

How is it going?
When is your o day?

Well Lemon I was thinking the same thing the mens bodies would just keep working on new batches as soon as one is released.. OOHHHH i dont know i just hope that by the time i am ready for my attempt that 2 times in that one day of attempt is enough.. I am going to get him to release just once a day now until the 8th. I am due to o ( I think ) on the 9th or 10th but my opks are still not that negative.. so i think i may o a bit earlier.

Hello, You are young pinkin2011!!!
I think I meant that DH will replenish but the difference is in lowering the sperm count. If you release often your body will know that and replenish better. If you are not a fr then your body will not be as quick to keep them going.
Zanacal did FR twice a day bc DH already released once a day so she really want to change things and have him deplete even more.
So, maybe just do more than he does...but not overkill if he is not a FR.
Just my thoughts.....hopefully someone else can add in.
How many attempts are you doing?
Will you use rephresh or anything?

GOOD LUCK!

D/h usually will release say every 3 days on average.. he doesnt help himself.
We are only doing one attempt when i get my +opk or there abouts.... Do you think one attempt is ok??
I have been using Rephresh i used it yesterday morning and my plan was to use it again on the 7th in the am.
Was going to get d/h to have a hot shower before dtd and then i was going to do a jump and dump.
I am taking Vitex, saw palmetto , Folic acid and i am eating those equal things all day!! I have about 100 a day!!!
Oh and i dont eat until 2pm

That sounds like a great attempt pinkin2011! I started only taking saw palmetto and folic acid. Am on the LE diet really strict. I decided that 3-4 days before o and on o day I will eat only 2 meals a day (around 1pm and 6:30pm) and only have one cup organic skim milk, 1 yoplait yogurt and white rice. Same meal both times. I want my body to really think it's hard time's when I concieive this baby so it knows there is no way I can have a boy :) Will go back to the LE diet strictly after o+1 day. Will take zyrtec and also do rephresh every 3 days and fingertip replens 1 hour before dtd. J&D after 5 minutes. Dtd only once and will try for a o+12. Not stressing about it though, will dtd roughly 32-36 hours after the 1st +opk. That's the plan...I hope all ours works and we see pink in October!
My hubby cannot do fr without moaning. It is stressful and that sways blue. I had done fr through o with ds3 (he released everyday from af-o) and he complained every night "do we have to?" Now, he doesn't get it enough...3 boys and he's lucky getting it once a week. I think his ideal would be 2-3 times a week. That is why abstaining is painless for us. We don't have to think about it, just don't do anything til it counts. He will never take care of himself though which is a pain -- if we did fr it would be all on me and I'm exhausted at the end of the day.

i dont know about the frequent release thing personally. i know its only one factor, but dosent seem to work for us.
our first son, we were like bunnies at least twice a day every day.
our second was probably 5 times a week.
our 3rd, hubby was working away alot, (but was helping himself, while he was a way) and that BD was a 2 day cutoff before O.
our 4th was a 3 day cut off, with BD every second day.

and thats 4 boys.

this time has been different, but it was an unplanned different.
we were both sick with the flu, so werent really in the mood anyway.
so we ended up with a 5 day cut off, after 7 days abstaining.
hubby is 43, so abstaining was not at all in my plan.

Dannikins your boys are darlin!!!! I can never get all 4 of my boys to look at the camera and smile at the same time!

I have a found a few posts about Clomid and now I am a little freaked out about the cancer risk? I want a daughter so bad, and I am sure that I will use the Clomid and risk it. Am I insane?

Since next month is the Clomid month, should I cancel this month out?

For this month, I have been temping as usual. My CBE monitor started showing HIGH on CD9. I am going to start using OPKs tomorrow. My last two cycles FF said I Oed on CD19 (27 day cycle) and CD21 (32 day cycle) so I am thinking it will be the same this month although I started taking Saw Palmetto on CD5 and DH started licorice as well then. I am not sure if I will O earlier this month because of the SP? I always skip breakfast. I used RepHresh on CD5 and vinegar douche on CD8. Plan to use RepHresh again tonight CD10. MY DH has been FR 1-2 times a day for a week or so now. So I am thinking of frequent DTD, but not sure of the pattern? I just got my SYLK in the mail today, so thought I would use it before attempts? How soon do I use it and where do I put it?

Then if I get BFN this month, I can try the Clomid using SYLK maybe? I really don't know how to incorporate a sway with it. Can someone tell me the what to do with Clomid?

I thought that f/r was good for girl because you are lowering sperm count aswell as lowering the amount of sperm in you because i would only be dtd once... When we concieved our d/s we dtd ALL the time i would of had HEAPS of sperm inside me so there would of been a very high sperm count .. this time he is releasing heaps but not dtd so i hope it will be a fairly low count. I don't really know much about lp. I used to have regular cycles until the last year. Now they got all funny. I took meds last month to get my period so this is the first time I o'd and got a "period". It is sooooo light I am hesitant to count it and hope it is enough to get me prego. I will call the doc tomorrow to discuss it. Anyway, my lp was 10 days. And yes, it was my regular ob who prescribed it. I am doing the le diet and just not using any of the gels or drying agents if I o this month. good luck with your decision kit with me...not that I know much about clomid!!

My DP and i are thinking about TTC this month, i am currently on CD2. Hi and welcome Lala, glad you joined in :D

Re abstinence and frequent release - I don't believe anything changes the ratio of girls or boys, but that both scenarios lower sperm count (though I agree with lemon that the frequency required to do that probably varies between men, what their sperm count was to begin with and how often they usually release). My DH is 37 and couldn't abstain even if I wanted him to but I personally wouldn't risk crappy sperm (boy or girl!) that we may get by abstaining at his age. I wonder whether the fact that we lowered sperm count but that his sperm were very fresh due to the amount of releasing helped us to conceive so quickly. Remember also that frequent release is very different to frequent BD - as pinkin said, I felt that with one shot we were helping again by reducing 'my' sperm count and also the amount of high pH semen. After abstinence there is more semen and there was very little after our super frequent releasing!

I'm sure I had something else to say but it escapes my mind at the moment! Oh yes - Clomid! Kraizy Daizy, can I suggest you start a new thread or PM Atomic Sagebrush? You'll get more information that way!

Hey ladies, great to see so many new faces and see this thread sooo busy!!

Mocha, I love love the digital! When did Clearblue easy digitals start saying how pregnant you are? I think that's really neat!! (that's what 1-2 means, right...1-2 weeks?)

Katie, I know how you feel when you say you need a girl! I talk my husband's ear off incessently about how I long for a daughter; some days he's really loving and open about my feelings; sometimes he gives me a look, as if he somehow failed me by giving me sons; and then still others, he says boys are so much easier, and I don't know the trouble I'm asking for (he is honestly terrified of raising a daughter.) Knowing how strongly he feels about the whole girl situation, on those days when he is so loving and thoughtful about it I know KNOW that he really cares and loves me. That means a lot :) He is still wearing whitey tightys and he hated them, he was always a boxer man. I love him for doing what he can!

Mocha, I totally feel you on the whole Mom thing. If DS2 even makes a whimper when I'm on the phone with her, she gets mad and says, "you really think you want another?" He's a baby, he babbles! So what if he babbles loudly when I'm talking on the phone to her? he's not being rude, he's just a 8 month old baby! One day the baby was babbling very loudly and then DS1 started being loud because the baby was being loud, and she point blank said, "I don't think you can handle another one." This btw is all over the phone because she doesn't drive anymore and I see her in person about 4-6 times a year, so just over the phone, she is judging what I can and cannot handle! GRR!

Just wondering if you wouldn't mind another member in your group? I have been on the site everyday like a crazy person for the past 3 weeks and feel like i know all of you, even though i've just joined, lol. My DP and i are thinking about TTC this month, i am currently on CD2. I am 28, from Australia, and have 2 divine DS's but am DESPERATE for some pink in my life (I feel out numbered in my house all the time!) I have already found this site and all of you so informative. I'm just finalising my sway at the moment but think i have it pretty much sorted.
There seem to be so many of us TTC in January so I am hoping with all my might that there are alot of pink BFPs in all of our futures!!
I'm on CD3 now, but we're on opposite sides of the world... so maybe we're on same day, maybe one day off. Either way, it would be cool if we became due date buddies. Best of luck to you!

I think I am cd3 too, but my af was sooooo light I'm not even sure if I should count it! i called the ob today to see if he would do an u/s to check my lining before I start the clomid but he is in surgery/delivery all day so we'll see if he calls back. Why does it have to be so confusing?

AF is being so WEIRD! For many years, it was always 28 days like clockwork for about 4 days and never got very heavy. Last year, it suddenly started jumping around a little and became every 26-29 days (not crazy but different enough that I took notice). It also became much heavier and would last closer to a week. I went to the doctor to make sure everything was okay, and after some tests she said I am just fine. AF started coming around every 26 days consistently but still remained heavy. This time, it was 26 days again, but all of the sudden it is light again like before. I don't know if it means anything, or if it is even anything to worry about. It's just odd. Can RepHresh mess it up? I used it 2 or 3 times in the weeks leading up to AF. I've also been taking baby Aspirin every other day and drinking Crystal Light. Hopefully nothing will mess up our attempt this month!

Katie- The diet and any supplements that you might be taking might be changing things around in your body. To me, it sounds like a good sign that things are different suddenly, that means that you are succeeding in changing thing up. As far as your af being different if past cycle before the diet...a lot of women have a change in cycles after having children. Pre-children it might be one way,. post 1 child another way, post 2 children another way. And it will likely continue to change throughout you life with the different changes in your body as you age. Its natural. You might see a pattern for a while and a few years later that pattern may change. All very normal.

I got my AF this morning!! Cd1 for me...wahoo! I am being so conservative this month so not getting my hopes up for a bfp but we will see.... I don't know how much I believe in this stuff, but I looked up my biorhythms this morning and they are in strong girl for the time of my ovulation (roughly the 19, 20th or 21st). All days are strong girl. And the 21st starts a new moon --again, not sure I believe but it can't hurt. I had looked at my biorhythms for when I conceived my sons and they were all strong boy. Maybe just a coincidence. Due to ov roughly the 19/20th.
And here we go.....

WHEW!!! I've finally reached the end of this thread...!!! So sorry in advance for the posting bomb about to take place!

Suregena, glad AF is finally here for you. I’ve heard it’s best to take them the same time every day to be consistent and that taking them at about 2pm gives you the best readings. Earlier in the day can give you a false darker line. Not sure about evenings. If you have a lot of OPKs to burn, you could use them just after AF, otherwise you could start testing a week(ish) before you think you’ll O.

OOTB...don't forget me....wah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just waiting for the real AF to show up.

Lemon, I am not forgetting about you AT ALL! You don't count until AF shows...There's still a chance you're knocked-up

THANKS OOTB!
What is your plan this month?
Not sure yet...??? I was thinking of BD as soon as I get a +OPK but now DH has totally done a 180 and wants to start BD now!?! Who is this man and what did he do w/my DH? DH wanted to jump on my last night but I said no...I was too hungry and tired, lol. I might put some RepHresh in today but I'm not sure. I could O anywhere from the 10th - 18th...UGH! It's so annoying not knowing. A few things are definite for this attempt...We will use Sylk, will go very easy on the RepHresh (if used at all) and I will stick to the LE diet. Other than that, who knows…???

OOTB, did you think you were pregnant?
I have never ever felt my bbs the way I did last week. They just felt bigger and to touch them was sore. Now I am late but spotting which is normal just before and I am sure AF is probably right there! So, do you think something tried to take and just didn't?
Not sure...just trying to be hopeful.

I still have my :fingers: for you, Lemon! You know, I kind of do feel like something tried to happen as I've never spotted before AF and the spotting just kept going on and on. The cramps also felt different than AF cramps and I just had this feeling. I am still BF and won't feel anything in my BBs for the 1st month or so when I fall preg so that wasn't/won't be a sign for me. I guess I will never know if something was trying to start or not but I'm so very thankful that if it was, I didn't m/c later on and I hope I never have to experience that again. No woman ever should...:sadflwr: I'm hoping AF stays away for you and that your BFP is in the next day or so!

Lets see.

Pinkin, I've heard that between 2-3 in the afternoon is the best time to take an OPK and that you should stay consistent w/the time you take it every day. Sometimes earlier in the day, it can show false +s or at least a darker line which is misleading. Hope this helps. Sounds like you've not O'd yet but it'll come soon! I'm excited for you to catch that :pinksperm:

 Jennibel and Lala! I’m glad you’re joining us! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Xokatie, sending you some :hug2: I’m so sorry people are like that…:gloomy: It’s so hard to be happy and hopeful when the people you love can’t understand your dream. O will be just around the corner and we’ll be here to :cheer: you on! I don’t think RepHresh could mess w/your AF but diet/supps certainly could. Also vitex could as well…not sure if you’re taking that or not.

KraizyD, so sorry about the UTI…so annoying! I seem to get those waaaaay too often. I have to drink %100 cran juice every day, otherwise I seem to get them. I’m hoping you can get some better info regarding clomid and swaying…

Thoughts?

Interesting...I've never given it much thought but it makes sense, Princess. BTW, YAY for CD 1! O is next…

Dannikins, I’m getting girl vibes from you! Your scan is sooooo soon!!!

 Amari! I’m soooo hoping that you get that :pinksperm: this month! Have you had any LP issues in the past? Last cycle may just be a fluke hopefully as your cycle is beginning to come back and settle itself (?)… I’m hoping you can get that u/s asap and all goes well…:HH:

Auroara, how’s your Mr. Mom doing? Is your job going well? I think your April plan is marvelous! Sending you lots of :HH: and :luck:

I hope I haven't missed anyone! I apologize if I have...

Question for all you ladies trying this month & those who have already gotten there bfp....how long were you on the diet, or going to be on the diet if you get your bfp this month when you ovulated??
I ask b/c this month when I ovulate I will have been on the diet for 3.4 weeks -- so when I get my bfp (if I get it..) it will be 5.4 weeks. Do you think it is too soon for me to try? I have to say, I have been on and plan to stay very very strict. Am always only 1100-1300 calories a day, under 20 grams fat, 40grams or under protein & 600 or under sodium daily. The 4 days prior to o til day after I plan to do a mini fast (only 2 meals day, 1cup skim milk, 1 nonfat yogurt, 1 cup white rice)....I don't wan those boys thinking they can survive in me :)
Anyhow, would just like to hear from you ladies...thoughts and what your plan is on time on the diet.

Good morning girls :)
Lemon - Sorry you didn't get a bfp but glad af finally showed so you can get going with ttc. baby aspirin lowers PH it's also a blood thinner so i don't take it the first few days of af
OOTB looks like are plans are pretty similar. My cycles are crazy too and i should be O somewhere along the 10-21st of Jan.

Hi! Baby aspirin is 81mg. Thats standard and what makes it "baby" its low dose. I don't know but pretty sure it would be in Canada. Or order from Amazon. Sorry AF showed.

I read a sway- you can look where ladies post there sways- Her name is Maggiepie- she did the diet a very short time because she felt she couldn't do it long term and had a successful sway.
I think you should be okay- the recommended is usually 6 weeks but if you are being that strict and honest with yourself (lol) you should be fine!

Mocha, I love love the digital! When did Clearblue easy digitals start saying how pregnant you are? I think that's really neat!! (that's what 1-2 means, right...1-2 weeks?)

I think you used to be able to buy both types, but here in Canada (and at the stores I shop, at least), all of the Clearblue digis seem to be this type now. I bought a 2 pack and I'm planning to wait a week or two to test again so I'll hopefully see 3 weeks on there.

I'm actually really close with my Mom, and she doesn't judge me at all. Her hesitance is simply because she's worried about me. She was there when I cried my eyes out for 2 days after finding out ds3 was a boy, and she was there in the days after my m/c when I was at my lowest. She just doesn't want to have to see me suffer again.

I do definitely have lots of other family members who judge me the way your mom judges you, though. Especially my MIL - she seems to disapprove of EVERYTHING my kids do and I know she thinks I'm doing a terrible job as a Mom. She's told me before she really wants a granddaughter, though, so she'll probably be excited when she finds out I'm pregnant. I'm worried, though, that if I do have a girl she'll become her favourite grandchild and the kids will notice - she already seems to get annoyed by my boys after like 5 minutes with them. My Mom, on the other hand, loves every second she spends with my kids and thinks they're the most wonderful boys in the world. I have to agree with her... :HH:.

lemon - I'm glad af finally arrived and put you out of your misery. CD1 gives you a fresh start - I really hope this is your month!

Baby Aspirin is actually called 'Low Dose Aspirin', and you'll find it in the painkillers section at any pharmacy or grocery store here in Canada. The bottle's blue, if that helps - just make sure you get the low dose type - 81mg. I forgot to bring Baby Aspirin on my trip, but pretty much everyone over 60 takes low dose aspirin daily, so I stole FIL's from his bathroom counter while I was at his house, and stole some of my Mom's while I was at hers!

Mocha, yeah I totally understand....

My mom and I are close, and I confide in everything to her. I think you hit the nail on the head squarely--her issue is me. She doesn't want to see me suffer, and we've had conversations before where she's like..."you were so upset that Evan was a boy...what would you do it again?" My answer is always, "I will love and take care of him. He's still my child." She just worries about me getting my heart broken, but I have always wanted more than 2 kids, and I'm hoping for a girl, but I really want at least 3, so that's why it makes sense for us to try again.

Jen, thanks for asking about husband's new day job! It's going alright...he's been a little pokey about laundry and dishes; he says he needs some time to get "settled" into his new job, so I'm trying to let him be and not "hover" over him. I just don't like coming home to a sink of dishes when he's been home all day, but he's only been working for a week, and he's trying to catch up on everything, so I'm going to cut him a break for a little bit and just watch, and not crititize.

He told me last night that he thinks I'm pregnant, and he thinks he knows when it happened, (the last time, about 3 days after I was supposed to O) but he won't disclose why he thinks that. I said "why do you say that???" and he just shrugs. Maybe when we had sex the other day and I so wasn't in the mood it got him thinking something was wrong? I've been in a bad mood all week, but not a depression pms-y mood, just in a "I wanna strangle" someone mood.

The stupid last test in the box beckons me, and I may break down and test over the weekend, just because I don't think I can wait until Tuesday now. I was FINE until hubby said that comment. Not to mention this older black lady at my work said the creepiest thing to me yesterday, she said, "I dreamed somebody died. Someone in this building is pregnant. I need to find out who." The crazy thing is she fixed her eyes on me for a long moment and my cheeks actually burned bright red.

I haven't told ANYONE at work about us TTC'ing, just have mentioned that fact that eventually "one day" I'd like to have a 3rd. Isn't that strange?

Auroara that is a crazy story my mom just out of no where said she thought I would have another baby soon and then asked me if there was any possibility I was pregnant then and that was like a few days before I found out. Also before I found out I wanted to strangle everyone actually I still kind of feel that way do that definitely could be a good sign!

Auroara, Jamie is right...it could be a sign...:fingers: BTW, when I was preg last time, I felt like I wanted to strangle someone pretty much 24/7 (which is totally not me!!! )...never had that w/my boy pregnancies and was always so weepy/happy and puking up my guts w/them, lol! I'm not saying it's a girl sign but just thought I'd share.

Wow, you girls can chat.......

Hello to all those new to the thread, Looking forward to getting to 'know' you!

Mocha, I am so fricking excited for you and have everything crossed for you and your September baby!

Lemon, sorry about the BFN. It is so hard to see then when you think you are pregnant (I thought I was preggers in December, then got a BFN). It will happen, be patient and try not to stress about it.

OOTB, Looks like we are going for the January attempt together, I am just waiting for AF to arrive (prob Tuesday), then the countdown can begin. We didn't DTD last month so know I am not pregnant - I am kind of regretting that decision as I want a baby really bad, but I really think only boys are made on a French holiday diet!!!

Don't regret your decision. I think it was a good one. I think lots of people would give anything for a French holiday (including myself...that's where dh and I honeymooned...sigh) , and if you'd been stressed about trying to follow the diet and sway while you were there it would have ruined your trip. You then might have had regrets if you'd gotten pregnant and would have been worried that you didn't do the best sway you could.

I just know you'll get your pink BFP soon! :HH:

I realised recently that my due date is only a few days after we conceived my angel baby...

I am, yeah. Thanks for asking. I got some cleaning done, which always makes me feel better... and I got to babysit my friend's daughter. It was fun to have a girl in the house even if I do have to give her back! I also got a new default picture designed for my Facebook business page. I am glad to hear it! I am going good, yes waiting to O which should still be the date i thought. My opks are still dark but not quite the same as the control i have no EWCM what so ever which i find very strange as usually i have at least 4 days of it before O. Anyway I just hope i can keep my attempt to my plan FX.. I hope we get our BFP around the same time that would be fantastic.

Just wondering if anyone has any great recipe ideas.....I have eaten way way way too much sodium and snacks and high everything. I am still trying this month bc I am old (er)...grrr! But, I have 2 weeks and even though it will do nothing it will make me feel like I am swaying.
Zan, OOTB, Mocha???

Good luck pinkin2011!!!!
I really believed in Shettles for a long time...but for every shettles success, you hear of a shettles opposite!
If only it were that easy!
DS 1 was 1 day before and DS2 was 2 days before o. I guess that is supposingly in the boy zone right?

Katie, my o date is right behind you.
You sound very strong babysitting the little girl! It makes the heart strings pull even more!

I ate pasta almost every night for dinner. My staple was sauteed zucchini, mushrooms and leeks and creme fraiche (something like sour cream, but sweeter) mixed with pasta with a little parmesan on top. Sometimes I made a primavera sauce with no salt added canned tomatoes (President's Choice Blue Menu ones are good), zucchini, mushrooms and leeks. I also made vegetarian lasagna by heavily controlling the amount of cheese (meaning hardly any), pizza on homemade salt-free crust or on low sodium pitas, and vegetarian tacos, using veggies, canned tomatoes, a bit of chili powder and cumin on salt-free corn tortillas with a tiny bit of cheese.

I too have only been on the diet for a short time like you but i am hoping that changing your diet even for a short amount of time is better than nothing, plus it is completely different to how i ate when i conceived my boys so i am hoping that it will make a difference. And we will be using other sway techniques remember. I'm on CD3 now and am being really strict until i O, hardly eating anything and basically the same thing everyday. So hopefully my body gets a shock to the system and will only let :pinksperm: in at the gate!!

And thanks everyone for being so welcoming:bighug:

Lala - Welcome. I think you have a good chance, anything different is better than nothing imo. I messed up so much around the Holidays that I too will be about 3 weeks back into the diet. Part of me hopes i get a bfn until March even though I really really want to hurry up and get pregnant.. lol

Lala, prayforprincess, purple sky, I will only have been on the diet for a few weeks. My naturopath (who also helps women sway) said she recommends women do it from CD1, so basically it is only 2 weeks until O. This is mostly because she knows that your thyroid function can be messed around if you are on a low salt diet for too long. Also, if it is a big change from your normal diet you will see a result faster. So keep doing what you are doing. It is easier to stick to the diet strictly if it is not for too long as well. And you should not feel guilty about enjoying Christmas. We've still gotta live!

Thanks Jamie! I'm going to go out tonight after work and buy a FRER or a digital and take it tomorrow morning with FMU and hope the line gets a little darker or better!

When I rushed out to show my hubby, he said, "Umm, don't both lines got to be the same color?" I said, "no it counts even if one line is really faint." He then said, "Well, maybe you're just kind of pregnant?" LOL, how can a person be sort of pregnant?

Sorry for this next bit of TMI, but it's kind of funny, after he said that, he looked down at his fingers that were holding the test, and he said, "Is that pee? Is there still urine on this??? Give me a towel!"

Yay auroara - I hope the FRER confirms it, so promising!

Jamie86
January 6th, 2012, 10:37 AM
Auroara, that's hilarious! My DH never calls them pregnancy tests only "pee sticks". I took so many last week (like 9) and I had them all in the bathroom and he said "you do realize there is like $60 worth of stuff you've peed on in the bathroom." not quite $60 but I thought it was pretty funny he said that.

Zanacal, one reason we chose Nathaniel is because we liked all the ways it could be shortened but when he was born everyone called him "Nate Nate" and it just stuck, although DH likes Nathan and calls him that a lot but we don't really use Nathaniel often. That's so cute what your other DS called him DS2 is 18 months and doesn't call Nate anything yet just kind of grunts and yells at him.

Zan, OOTB, Mocha???

Have you looked here lately? http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-conceive-girl/7357-january-pink-food-thread.html

Some of my favs are:

Rasp Fiber smoothie:
Frozen raspberries, low cal rice milk, fiber (I use psyllium husks) and if you are doing the fake sugar thing, add some to this as well...

Pumpkin "Pudding":
canned pumpkin, low fat/fat free plain yogurt, fake sugar (or real sugar), fiber (I add fiber to everything as it helps to soak up some of the nutrients), cinnamon.

Fruit Cream Spread:
Lite "Cool Whip" or any of that lite whipped topping stuff, strawberry jam. Sometimes I'll put a bit of low fat cream cheese w/it as well if I need a bit more cals/protein. I like it even better w/the cream cheese but it still tastes great w/just the whipped topping and jam. Spread it on rice cakes, crackers, etc.

YAY, kiss your cook! All my DH knows how to cook is meat and I'm a vegetarian so that's no good, lol! I'm so very thankful he eats my cooking, though! Oh, and I wanted to add that I've always loooooved the name Nathaniel. My best friend from when we were babies is named Nathaniel - he was the 'dude of honour' at my wedding too. When he was little we sometimes called him 'Nat', but as he got older people who know him well call him 'Than' (note: this isn't pronounced like the word than, but with a strong 'th' like it sounds in Nathaniel. I would have loved to call a little boy Nathaniel, but dh has always been a little jealous of my friendship with Than and told me from day one that he wouldn't like that :(. I barely get to see my friend anymore - he lives in St. Louis now and I haven't seen him since our wedding 8 years ago!

Sooo... it's my husband's birthday on Sunday. His mom is taking us out to lunch. Oy! I'm currently on my period, but I don't know what to do. :nails:

It's the cafe in our town... so I know my choices. So... out of these choices, on this diet, what would you choose? :/

Obviously it's a big deal that I behave this month as it's TTC month, so I'm looking for feedback.

(I'm not even going to list sandwiches! There may be a soup of the day, too, so that's another option, though soup can be filled with cream and/or salt, so...)

"Big Salads"

Mozzarella, fresh basil, and tomato salad
Brie, apple, and grape salad
Goats cheese, caramelized onions, and rocket
Fried halloumi (mmm......), piquant peppers, and basil

And then I believe there is a falafel salad and a greek feta salad.

And they might have jacket potatoes. But the topping choices might be beans, etcetera.

I had a jacket potato last weekend when she took us out to lunch (Seriously, WHY is she doing this to me?) so it might raise eyebrows. I would have never ordered a jacket potato normally, and she looked at me like, "Are you sure?" and I said, "... I... I don't know! I'm just totally into baked potatoes right now!"

Haha...

rainbowflower
January 6th, 2012, 03:37 PM
"Brie, apple, and grape salad" <- that's probably the most girl-friendly one of the lot!

Mochagirl
January 6th, 2012, 03:44 PM
All the salads seem to highlight cheese...they sound yummy, but not great for the diet. I'd go with rainbow's suggestion. Either that or a jacket potato, but it might be tricky to keep the toppings within the guidelines.

The mozzarella, tomato and basil salad might be ok since they probably use fresh mozzarella (I make a salad like this at home on occasion - but while on the diet, I'd keep myself to one slice of mozzarella), which has almost 0 sodium...but it would also involve larger amounts of cheese, so protein would become an issue.

I'm SCREEEWWWWEDDD! Hahaha. It is fresh mozzarella, but they use like the whole ball of it in slices (probably about 8 slices of round mozzarella.)

The last time I went there, they were "out of jacket potatoes", so I'm not sure how that will end up.

On the off chance, what could I have on a baked potato that would be all right?

God, my mother in law, if I get that, is going to really raise her eyebrow, and she's kind of frustrating enough as it is.

Ohhhh! Just remembered. They also do "platters" where you can choose three things. I'm going off an oldish menu, though, so roughly it's like this:

Like a salad, but more flexibility (doh! forgot about them!)

"Platters served with salad, tortilla chips, and warm pita with 3 items:

Hummus
Lemon & Lime Mayo
Brie
Cream Cheese
Mixed Olives
Stuffed vine leaves
Artichoke hearts
Tabbouleh
Tzatziki
Mozzarella
Feta
Port Salut (a type of cheese... Port-Salut (cheese) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port-Salut_(cheese)))
Piquant peppers
Sundried tomatoes"

Mochagirl
January 6th, 2012, 04:12 PM
The platter sounds like a great idea!

The hummus would probably be fine, and maybe the tabbouleh (though it has garlic in it, no?). You could also get the brie and just make sure not to eat too much of it. Watch those tortilla chips, though - they're probably salted. If you have a low sodium/protein supper it should all balance out.

I AM on my period, so, dunno. I plan to get REALLY plain in my meals more than I am currently after AF...

Surgena, what about the Greek Salad...just skip the olives, get the dressing on the side and maybe not eat all the feta. Not very fun but doable. :gloomy:

Suregena - I would choose any one of those things and not worry about it! Sure they're high in protein and/or sodium but if you hardly eat anything else the rest of the day with those nutrients then you'll still be fine overall and girl mums have to choose something off the menu when they go to a restaurant!

They mainly use a vinaigrette type dressing. Not like the US here where it's all Blue Cheese or Ranch. So, I have that going for me, I guess!

Hmm... interesting. I guess those things couldn't max out my totals (because I don't eat meat, anyway... maybe if I just stay away from the cheese and stick with hummus? Maybe make it "vegan"... no dairy type stuff/choices. if I don't eat a normal "dinner", i.e.... maybe just have some rice cakes for dinner with jam... ? Or something. The cheese would have the bulk of the proteins/fats, anyway. Hummus is fattening/protein filled to a point. I'd probably go over sodium, I guess... but sodium isn't the biggest thing, right?

I'm trying to make it work without it being too terrible and I would hate to feel guilty. It's my husband's birthday meal! What a party pooper I am!
Of course, he's the only one who knows about the swaying thing, obviously.

Hey girls, thanks for all the congratulations :)

I just tested again (yeah, pee-aholic) on a FRER (couldn't wait until tomorrow morning) and it IS definitely positive!! One faint line and one darker line, but even my husband and my oldest son clearly saw two lines!! YAY!!!!

Mocha, my due date according to LMP would be September 18th. When is your due date again?

Congrats Auroara, fantastic news. Really hope to join you at the end of January with a BFP! xx

Suregena, I think all the stressing over one meal is likely to do more harm than just enjoying one thing that is not part of your girl diet. I'm sure you'll be fine. BTW, I love your comment to your MIL about really being into jacket potatoes!
My family are more likely to notice me not drinking alcohol than what I am eating. Luckily they are on the other side of Australia!

Suregena you should just enjoy your lunch with your husband, i'm sure one cheat day is ok especially if you work your other meals for the day around that so you don't go too much over.

Auroara I knew you would test again today!! I would have too if I was in your shoes :poas: YAY!

Hey Amari. Lovely photo! I love seeing everyone's pics on here but I am afraid I won't put mine up just in case someone I know saw me on here. It might be silly, but the stuff we say to each other on here is pretty personal. Maybe I will one day, like if I get a BFP!
Getting close pinkin! It already seems like a good month, so let's hope it continues.

For those of you who use/used RepHresh -- How long after AF was gone did you start using it? I was taking it every three days up until AF, but I'm not sure when to start it back up.

Thanks, peony. It's kinda a strange pic, but the only one I could get to upload on here! I know what you mean, I almost didn't put one up for the same reason, but then I thought if someone I know is on here then they believe the same things I do , I guess, right?
