I saw the boys swayers have a new thread, so I thought I'd start one for the girl swayers!
I'm on CD 25, just waiting for AF to get here so that DH and I can officially TTC :ttcgirl: this month!!
Here's to lots of BFPs and 2012 babies!
Good luck to everyone! :luck: :luck: :luck:

Happy 2012!!
Sorry you are dealing with that, Lemon. My dh's cousins have it and I know it is a tough thing to deal with. Hope you start to feel better. You def have hope for a girl!
I agree, rainbow, those are some early bfps! You are lucky, Mocha!! so you're holding out on testing??
Even though I just started back full force on the diet after being mostly off for 7 days, I had the worst night. I did the diet all day, then had pasta, cheese and crackers, vokda drinks, about 2 brownies, 2 cookies, 4 chocolate candies a mini canolie! Yikes! I think I have the weirdest metabolism, not that I was much bigger before, but now it seems to be even quicker, I thought for sure that would have upped my weight a bit but, no this morning 93. While I ate fattening stuff and kept my blood sugar up for like 7 hours at least it didn't seem to make me gain and it had no nutritional value at all! I am in it now, no more cheat days, please ladies help me. I did so well last month until we bailed. I need to commit.

Awesome, zanacal! Thanks for the sticky.
This is unrelated, but I just wanted to announce I officially became a "dream member" today! I've only been on the site for a short time but it has helped me with so much, so I was more than happy to give a little back. :)

Hi ladies! Happy New Year! Good riddance, 2011 - I am sooooo ready for a new year and a fresh start. May all our dreams come true this year :HH:.
Amari - my trick with sticking to the diet is to find things I actually enjoy eating that are acceptable in the diet. For me, pasta is the key. I looove pasta, and I particularly love parmesan, so I make sure I leave enough room in my budget to have a substantial bowl of pasta with parmesan every night. That usually means I can only have about 10g of protein at lunch, but that's fine - I usually have some rice or something simple like that.
For me I find I can suffer through the day without snacking and eating very little if I know I have something to look forward to in the evening. I have my supper, then 3 hours later I have a snack. I go through phases of things I eat, but one of my favourites a while back was vanilla frozen yogurt with heated frozen raspberries on top like a sauce. Yummy!
If you haven't already, you should look through atomic's many meal ideas in the dream member section since they offer a lot of variety. However, for me I find it easier to find 1-2 meal ideas I like and stick to those almost every night - it takes away the thinking work. On weekends or days when I have more time on my hands I get more inventive.
Do you track your nutrients on a website? I know for some people that can be stressful, but I like seeing my totals and knowing that even on days when I think I messed up the diet I often didn't do as badly as I think...

Katie - yay! :)
a friend of mine gave birth to her first baby today, a baby girl - so feel extra broody! keep hoping that being extra broody and emotional is a good 2ww sign, but I think that's just wishful thinking ;)
first pregnancy I got my BFP at 9dpo too, but it was sooo faint it was barely visible and didn't get a proper line until 11dpo. second pregnancy I got my BFP at 13dpo (thought I was 12dpo so was testing when I thought AF was due) but had tested at 11dpo and got a BFN

My good friend had a baby girl a couple days before Christmas and it really gave me the fever. I sat there and held the baby for so long and just smelled her.

Hi Everyone!
So, I think the New Year brought me cramping and spotting.....my next attempt is the middle of January.
I am quite sad today.
Any good recipe ideas???
I am not a dream member and I am going to do a loose sway this month.
I need some ideas to get through a whole week of vacation!!!!!
Mocha...I probably passed you going the other way...lol!

What all are you planning, lemon? I'm going to be attempting in mid January as well.

lemon - sorry about the spotting :hugs:. You should visit our TTC pink food thread for lots and lots of recipe ideas - you don't need to be a dream member to read it. If I don't get my BFP this month, my attempt will be in mid-January as well, so we can be cycle buddies :HH:.

Assuming I'm feeling better I will be attempting mid/late January too. I haven't felt well though since Thursday night- having a relapse and may have to skip all together. I really can't believe it. I already had to opt out of december attempt If all is good attempt will be like Jan 19th-Jan 21st. Im really hoping it will even be an option.... :( or else I'm looking at February.
Hoping I dont sound too much like I'm having a pity party.

Hi everyone, My attempt is in 6 days.... I am excited a little nervous but not too bad. I just pray i get a +opk on the 8th because that evening will be our attempt. I more so just hope to get preg a baby girl would be sooooo nice but our d/s is 3 and a half now and really i think that is a big enough gap he is always saying he wants a baby ( sister!!!!!! ha ha ) but i am sure he would be just as happy with a baby brother! My d/h has been releasing every day once or twice a day since the 21st of dec so it will be 18 days straight by our attempt... Poor thing he is going ok with it tho, the closer we get to o i will start getting him to release twice a day again. I usually have 31 to 32 day cycles so i hope to and PRAY to get a bfp the same time as you guys !!!FX for all of us

Hey, pink! I've been wondering when you'd post on this thread.
I know some people don't pick before they're pregnant and I know some people don't like to share until the birth, but do any of you have names picked out for future children?

My AF is due any day... this month is go!
Although, over the holidays I have had quite a few (too many to count.......) slip-ups. It's been very difficult. I hope it doesn't ruin my sway. :(

Happy new year ladies....
Well I am back from France and to say I have fallen off the diet bandwagon would be the understatement of the century!!! I have eaten so much french cheese, meat, salt and all things lovely that I just couldn't attempt in December. I would have blamed myself too much. I am pretty sure I ovulated on the 29th December so am going to hit the diet in a big way for my January attempt - I think it will be 23rd Jan ish.
I think I have pretty much caught up with most news and am hoping for a bumper year of BFPs. - Pink dust to all who want it! xx

Yay, suregena. I hope af starts soon!
Welcome back, maybe!
I don't think either of you should worry too much about your cheats. We're only human, right? I had fast food for lunch today and am having pizza for supper, so I definitely have my cheat days too . Tomorrow I'll finally be back home after a week and a half away, though, and I'll be back to the diet 100% in preparation for my mid-January attempt (unless I get a BFP before then...).
It's a new year and a fresh start for all of us. Let the BFPs begin....

im excited and terrified all at the same time, happy to be seeing bub again, but scared crapless that boy bits will jump up at me, like with my last son.

My cheats the past week have been little chocolates. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!!! :( But other than that, I've been good with my actual meals, except for the week of Christmas (23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th)
But suuuurely chocolate can't doom me too much. :x
But I'm going to hit it hard after AF starts up... I plan to go drastic... i.e., not a lot of variety, not a lot or any veg at all... like rice + balsamic and maybe that's it. We'll see how I manage, but I think I need my system to maybe see the same foods on repeat for days leading up to O this month to counteract all the bad Christmas/New Year holiday season that has happened.
My husband has been really good about taking licorice root 3x a day, I've been taking vitex and fibre (though I have forgotten some days as you need to take it 30 minutes before a meal and I forget the odd day!)
I've got the Piriteze (same as Zyrtek... Cetirizine 10mg)... RepHresh on the way. J+D planned... frequent release... hot baths... I'm hoping all those things will help overcome my chocolate sins. :x

I think either just as the OPK is turning positive or when it's positive... but just the once. Husband will be doing frequent release (he's 36... 37 in a week. I'm 26) from end of AF (at least once a day... he works 12 hours shifts and is up VERY early and home quite late, so don't want to overdo it and stress him out) to + OPK... and ideally he'll have already released at least once before we BD on +OPK day...
I think. :/ Timing, it's a tough one! That's the one bit I've remained with a ? over. I've always gotten pregnant first month trying. My son was the result of ONE time (haha, we were in Bruges on vacation!) after my second miscarriage, so I was still waiting for my period and had no idea I was ovulating (but, obviously, at that point we didn't care and were not preventing.)

We're going to BD one time as soon as we get a +OPK. We were debating between FR and abstinence and decided DH should abstain. We DTD A LOT (like every single day from AF to AF) with previous pregnancies and got all boys, so we're trying opposite this time around.

I was going to do abstain but after reading something atomic posted about 36+ year olds being at risk for that, i.e. in terms of increased risk of disabilities/issues, that scared me off it. :/
I'm younger than him and he's probably super healthy (we're both already vegetarian and ideal weights) but that freaked me out a little!

Ahh, so abstain should work out nicely for you then! I'm 26 but hubbo is 37 in a week!
With my husband's craaaazy work hours, abstaining would have been easy-peasy for us. However, I am too scared to do it because of his age. :/ So I told him I'd "help him" with FR and he wouldn't have to do anything, himself. Hahahaha! :x

Well, I'm hoping so! I read somewhere that being romantic sways girl. When it said romantic I think it meant being sweet and letting one thing lead to another rather than just thinking "ok now we have to do it." I don't know if it's true or not, but it certainly can't hurt anything. I've got some rose petals and candles, and as soon as I get my +OPK I'm going to set them all up in the bedroom. DH doesn't pay any attention to my cycles, so it'll be a nice little surprise for him. I also have this pair of little pink shoes I bought a long time ago (when I was expecting DS3 and thought he was a girl), and I'm going to put them under our bed. Who knows if any of it will make any difference, but like I said it can't hurt!

Katie: That is the sweetest picture ever!
We celebrated by being in bed before 11!
I haven't fully caught up yet but I am going to jump in and say I'm having a lot of lower backaches which I remember as being normal but I still worry a bit. My tests have been getting darker (I've tested everyday since my BFP :poas: ) and I did have a good amount of brownish cervical mucus last night which worried me for a minute because my back was hurting so much however, it was only there during one trip to the bathroom. I'm feeling pretty good most of the day but I seem to hit a wall in the afternoon and want to do nothing but lay down. Unlike, it seems like most of the ladies here, I can't afford to gain a lot of weight during this pregnancy as I am already overweight so I'm trying really hard to start out doing well. During both my last pregnancies I gained a little over 30lbs (which is definitely too much when you are already overweight) but I also gained most of it in the 1st trimester because when I feel sick I eat (probably why I'm overweight because I also eat when I feel stressed, sad etc etc).
I'm trying not to worry too much about gender but I would be lying if I didn't say I haven't thought about it quite a bit and I've also checked on my calendar several times to see the exact day that I can go get an ultrasound at one of the local ultrasound places to find out early. We found out with both DSs just before 16 weeks at a place around here. Although I still think if they said girl that early I wouldn't believe it but with my DSs I kind of felt like once they saw a penis (and they were both clear as day) it wasn't going anywhere.
I'm not sure if I should be posting this in this thread but I definitely want to stick around here because I can't wait to see some more BFPs in here soon! :fingers::fingers:

Ok, I'm officially pathetic. I just started playing around with my chart and plugging in temps, and discovered that if my temp stays as high or is higher as it was today for the next 2 days, FF will declare my chart triphasic. So....now I'm eager to see what my temp will be tomorrow.

Not pathetic at all! If I would have starting charting I would have been doing the same thing. I have still been taking daily OPKs and even though my HPT lines are getting darker it's bothering my that my OPKs are still so very negative, I had to resist buying more today. Not to mention I have taken 7 pregnancy tests from Wednesday till now (insert slightly embarassed face)

Hi Girls, Anyone else here using Rephresh find that (TMI) it makes you knid of have like white paper stuff come out of you??? That's totally normal, pinkin - they even describe it on the rephresh site - something about skin cells sloughing off inside your vj. You'll find that stuff will stop after you've used the rephresh a few times.

Pinkin2011 - :fx: for you…Your attempt is sooooo soon!!! OMG…your DH is a releasing MACHINE!!! :superhero: Sounds like you’re in for a great attempt!!! BTW, RepHresh does this to me the first few times I use it…It’s normal and should clear up, even if you keep using the RepHresh...
Suregina, so excited for your attempt!!! You’ve been doing a great job so far! :agree:
Maybe, it’s so hard to stick to your diet while traveling/on vay-cay but when in France, that is TOUGH! Got my :fingers: that you’ll get a BFP in a few days! If not, we'll be doing the diet together and I'll cheer you on!
Lemon, I can’t believe you’ve not taken a test!!! I know you feel like AF is coming but that’s usually how I feel when I get my BFPs anyway… :luck: and :hug2:
 Dannikins! So excited for your scan…I think everyone feels that way. I was so terrified of seeing boy bits this last time, I could hardly breathe during the scan…:bighug: I think you have a great shot at seeing a :DD:
Xokatietatie, your boys are just gorgeous! I’ve picked out names in the past but I’m not going to think about it until I’m preg again. That way, I’ll trust the “vibes” I’m getting for a certain name/names while carrying the baby. Do you have names picked out yet? Hope AF stays away & you get a sneaky surprise BFP…those are the best and they do often sway pink!
Jamie, sounds like a wonderful way to start the NY!!! I know exactly how you feel…the moment I got my BFP, I was obsessing about gender like crazy. I turned into a madwoman for a bit…:worry: Just try to remember that there’s nothing you can change now…just sit back and enjoy being preggers! And please DO stick around!
Mocha, your chart is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!! Your temps have taken off like a rocket! My favorite hobby now is stalking your chart! Do you have enough tests to test tonight? I’m totally on POAS-watch now…Can’t wait until you POAS again…
Rainbow – got my :fingers: for you… that AF stays away…I understand how you feel. I was to deliver a week after my B-day (in March) so I’m really hoping I’ll get a healthy BFP by then. :HH: to you.
Amari, I’m sending lots and lots of positive pink vibes for a speedy BFP this next round…:luck: :pinksperm: :luck:
Auroara, how the 2ww going...Hope you're not driving yourself crazy! When do you start to test (or have you already!?!?). Sending you some :hug2: and BFP vibes, Mama!
SweetSis – Hope you get that BFP so you can chuck those rice cakes for good! Do you know when you’ll start testing? :luck:
Purplesky – Swaying for a girl during the holidays is just torture…I was in the 2ww during part of it and took a few too many liberties… I wish I hadn’t but I’m still going to go for it in Jan…:fingers: for us both if you decide to go for it too.

I think I have a weird name obsession. When I was expecting DS3 and thought he was a girl, I really stressed over making sure I had a girl name picked! It was all I thought about. I already have names picked out for #4. Our boy name is pretty set in stone, and I really love our girl name as well... but I'm still looking at other names because I want it to be perfect. DH thinks I'm nutty.
I will be shocked if AF doesn't come soon. DH and I DTD a couple times, but I think we always wore protection. I guess I could have kept better track though!

Just an update on me...I think AF is now gone as of today! I've been eating okay but not hitting the diet as hard as I had hoped. I'm still waffeling over skipping breakfast or skipping dinner...It's sooooo easy to skip breakkie but I'm just a grouchy sloth and my boys pay for it. Skipping dinner is tougher but I have more energy. Also, even though I'm going w/out food the same amount of time whether I skip breakkie or dinner, it just feels like it would sway better if I cut out breakkie. I may go back to skipping breakfast the week of O...:worry:
I'm so glad to have finally made it to 2012...I spent the last few days cleaning and organizing everything around the house and I gave away A TON of clothes yesterday. I feel like I'm nesting but in reverse...just getting everything nice and tidy before we BD again. For New Years, we opted to stay home and just celebrate together. After the boys were in bed, I made some rum drinks in my mini-blender w/frozen mangos/pineapples/raspberries. I could live off of those ;). DH was going to drink some beer but loved the rum drinks so much that he just stuck to those. I may have to bring out those drinks again when it's BD time!

You know it's funny... I ALWAYS skip breakfast and it doesn't bother me... but suddenly, when I can't have breakfast anymore, I'm starving and dying for a bowl of cereal. Go figure.

Katie, you'd be really surprised at how sneaky those sperm are...It could happen!
I had the same name obsession when I was preg w/DS2...I was 75% sure he was a girl and I had the perfect name picked out. I didn't like any boy names, though and when it came time to name him, it was really difficult. He goes by his middle name now b/c we both like it better and it seems to fit him (Tucker). I'm not sure what we'll do if we have another boy as it was difficult enough to name DS2! It just seems like there are waaaay more cool girl names out there and I'm so done w/all the boy names...Hope we get our girls this time!!! :cheer:

January 2nd, 2012, 11:18 AM
My boys are Colin, Aidan and Brendan. I love their names, but often call them by their middle names as well. Just depends on my mood. If we have another boy, he'll be Duncan. And as for girl names... I love Caroline, Stella, Alice, Margaret (Maggie), Bronwyn (Winnie), Blair, and I think that's it for now. Caroline is the name we have picked as of right now. We don't have a girl name that matches up with the boy names though.

Your boys have great names, Katie! I really love those girl names too! :agree: We have a Cian (it's Celtic, pronounced "kee-uhn") Cooper, and Riley Tucker. They go by Cian and Tucker for now.
xokatietatie
January 2nd, 2012, 11:44 AM
Ooh, I like your names too! I often call Colin "Rupe" because his middle name is Rupert. Aidan's middle name is James, and sometimes I'll call him that or DH will call him Jimmy. Brendan's middle name is Todd. Sometimes he gets "B. Todd" or "Hot Toddy" haha.
If we have a girl, we have to pick a name that goes with Elizabeth because that is set for our middle name. It's my husband's sister's first name and my sister's middle name. All of the middle names are names of family members.
Out of the Blue
January 2nd, 2012, 11:49 AM
I love keeping the tradition w/the middle names being names of family members! Not sure it would work for us though as we don't have great names in either my family or DH's, lol. The only thing that we remotely like and also have on both of our sides is "William". I guess that's doable. Not sure we could do that w/a girl name since they're really not anything either of us would want to name our girl, even for a middle name, lol!

People think I'm crazy, but I love the name Birdella. It was my great grandmother's name, and she was one of the most wonderful women to ever live. She passed away 5 years ago, and I still miss her terribly. Her birthday was October 7, so if I got pregnant in January I'd be due around her birthday. Unfortunately, my sister named her daughter Macie Birdella, and she'd probably not be happy with me if I used it as well. :( DH says if we were to get pregnant in January and it be a girl and if by some crazy chance she were to be born on the 7th he would say to hell with what anyone thinks and name the baby after my great grandmother. Wouldn't that be some crazy luck!

WOW...That would be crazy...and such a sign!!! Regardless of when she's born, though, I still say you could name her that, even if your sister named her that as well. If the 2 cousins have the same middle name, it's no biggie at all and I actually think it's really sweet!

That would be the shock of the century. I've got pregnancy tests but I think we've only done anything once this cycle... using a condom. And we're VERY careful because of it.
Yikes, but now you make me want to take one! :/

Surgena, the only girl my sister had was because of a condom misshap! So maybe you just got your girl, lol.
Katie, I think it would be soooo cool if you had an oct baby around the time of Oct 7th in honor of your grandma! Birdella (I hope I spelled it right!) is so cool and unique, I totally think you could pulll that regardless if things lined up right, but if they did, how extra cool would that be?
Mocha, I think your temp rise is so awesome! I still feel you'll get your BFP! Jamie, I love your company, please stay around and delight us with your preg symptoms once they start getting stronger! We can obsess about gender as well :)
Jen, thanks for asking! I am thinking I may have O'ed late or early, or not at all, so given that I have no idea how many dpo I am (assuming I did O at some point), I'm not going to test, just gonna chill and enjoy things and see if AF comes. I'm totally relaxed and cool right now about everything. Those evil temps out of context of a whole cycle really made me feel miserable, but once I stopped them, I just feel like anything could happen, a BFN or even a BFP.
However, I told my husband that I wanted to take a break from TTC until April, for two reasons: A) I am 200 lbs and 5 foot 7. I am the most heaviest I've been. While I have lost some weight on the diet, it keeps coming back very fast when I take a cheat day or two. My body seriously does not want to give it up. So I am going to excerise until April to try to lose 30-40 lbs hopefully, if not more. I gain about 30 lbs exaclty each pregnancy, and I do not want to be 230 when I deliver, nothing wrong with that, but...I had a long soul searching session with myself, and I know it would bother me.
B) Our baby is just 8 months old, still not crawling, is sweet and smiling but generally a hand-full. He is very hands on, and demands a ton of attention. I think dealing with all day yuck during the first trimester and him would be too much. I was just so blinded by my desire to have a daughter and the fact that my husband was so willing that I threw everything out the window.
So I'm definitely gonna be here for ya'll and join all the pink swayers thread until our attempt in April...i'm excited about April, it's mine and DS2 birth month, and he'll be 1, and hopefully walking by then (or crawling, lets hope)....

It's getting harder for me to want to stay in the swaying. I want a girl but I also want a baby born before 2013... The number 13 has always been bad for me. I am not into the whole bad luck thing but lets just say the worst things in my life happened around the number 13.
I have been staying away from this forum just so it doesn't make me sad to see everyone else getting bfps and having their DG... I am about to give up on the swaying and just focus on getting pregnant.

Hi ladies! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and an awesome New Years! Any +HPTs yet?
I am CD8. Started RepHresh on CD5 and will use it every 3 days leading up to our attempt to keep PH down. DH started FR on CD5 as well. He is releasing am and pm and also started licorice root 450mg 3 x day. I started the Saw Palmetto on CD7, cause I was just able to find it in the store. Not sure if the licorice and saw palmetto will help, but they could not hurt right LOL! Having an after AF dicharge like all the AF is still lingering in there, so might do a vinegar douche to clean things up (TMI, but what do you all think). I went shopping and got lots of HPTs and OPKs, SYLK, CBE monitor sticks and Phion PH testers. I am thinking of doing at least 5 attempts this cycle O-3, O-2, O-1, O (maybe not O?) O+1 using a little SYLK, Benedryl and hot showers before. Maybe a Diva cup too. Not sure but may skip Diva and do JAD? or maybe leave things be since the RepHresh and SYLK? Maybe I should not use SYLK I mean we are 37 and 40, and I have anemia, Vit D deficiency, as well as thryoid levels unbalanced? Or maybe I should skip it all and just DTD LOL!!! Any ideas are much appreciated.

well i tend to be a late ovulater (sp?) With the other boys I ovulated cd 19, when I stopped nursing Logan, I ovulated that month cd 19 and then last month cd 17 I got a positive opk and then the next day was negative and the day after that I had another positive test. So I don't know if I ovulated 2 times? And that was why I had 2 positive tests clear as day as dark as that line, it was weird. That was cd 17 and cd 19. So I am guessing sometime at cd 17 or cd 19

aww Birdella - growing on me! It would definitely be unique in this era!
auroara - hope you can lose the weight - losing it sways heavily pink anyway. Will you lose it before TTC again, or wait?
PP20- don't think of it as 13, think of it as 2013 - a completely different number!
Lemon & OotB - thank you both. OotB - good luck for BD-week ;)
Ttcad - yay! welcome!
Katie - we're the opposite, our girl name is set in stone but we struggle to pick boys names that we agree on and that go with our surname. There are simply no boys names that we *love* although a few that we *like*.
When we picked William's name it was just one on a shortlist of 5, and I still feel bad that neither of us loved any of those 5 names. Of course the name has grown to become him and I love it for that now, and it does suit his nature. He is VERY wilful.
sorry if I've missed anyone

OMG, ladies - I go offline for a day and suddenly there's 3 new pages of posts!! I haven't yet read them all in detail, but I just wanted to give everyone an update. First of all, Jen - don't tempt me to POAS tonight ;). Believe me, I've thought of it about a million times, but I haven't held my pee at all anyway, so I think it would be a waste of an expensive FRER. I have a couple cheapies I could use but they're the crappy ones that didn't show a BFP until 4 days past my FRER last time, so I doubt they'd be able to tell me anything.
And lemon - I think you asked me about the due date? It would be September 15th - I'm such a geek I always look that up immediately. Have you tested yet???? Sorry if you already mentioned - I haven't read all the posts yet.
I've been REALLY crampy all day and felt so wet down there earlier I thought maybe af had arrived. I was scared to death when I checked, but now it's sort of sticky/watery cm. I'm worried I'm getting my hopes up too much for this BFP. I really feel pregnant - I've felt queasy all day, though I haven't eaten much so it might have just been that. When I look back at some of my older charts, I've had high temps like this before and still not gotten a BFP.
I'm home now, so I can get back to eating normal diet stuff...but hopefully not for long
Don't worry, ladies - I'll be testing first thing tomorrow and you'll be the first to know (probably even before dh since he wakes up later than me)!

Hello Mocha....I checked my due date....ugh, September 11th, sorry but that is not exactly my favourite date for obvious as well as personal reasons!
It could be the 10th if I od on the 19th which I think I did but then again, my temp went a tad higher on December 20th...so when did I o???
I still have sore bbs and no AF yet!
I tried an OPK, nothing to a slightly faint line but it cannot be trusted.
I feel a bit queasy as well....but travelling and eating too much etc.
I have been bad with some wine, food, etc. A normal holiday for me, but who knows what is happening down there!!!
Mocha,...OMG I went to the bathroom expecting AF and it was creamy cm....?????
We so have to plan playdates with our baby girls......lol, but that would rock!!!!!
Hope you enjoyed your moms and your own bed!!!
Will you bd just for fun now that you are home...hahha, kidding!
I will be CHECKING in tomorrow!!!!!

pinkin2011
January 2nd, 2012, 11:21 PM
I have no idea really, I am just doing it because other people are to tell you the truth. I think it can depend on the individual whether or not the ions effect you but i really dont know if the effect me in any way. I guess i am doing it for the fun of it same as the moon phases i will be Oing right at full moon, meant to sway Boy, but if i waited untill the right moon phase i wouldnt be able to ttc until next year!!!!!
purple sky
January 2nd, 2012, 11:51 PM
Cute pic Katie - Pinkin I'm not positive I believe the ion thing sways but it doesn't hurt to add it to your sway. I ordered a couple negative ion bracelets from ebay as well as a neg. ion usb for my laptop :)

January 2nd, 2012, 11:54 PM
Ugh, everything is confusing me so much. Just when I start to think I have it all planned out, I find something else to bring me back to confusion. Ions, supplements, diet, moon phases, charting everything... etc... I just want my girl so bad. I want it to not be this hard! AHH!! Oh yeah, AF is definitely here... Let the over-emotional pity party begin.
pinkin2011

purple sky
January 3rd, 2012, 12:34 AM
I really wouldn't stress over it either. There are so many different sway options that you just have to do what your comfortable with. I know there are soooo many things i'm leaving out but I don't want to drive myself crazy. There is no perfect sway, otherwise we would know exactly what works. Beside stress is supposed to raise testosterone and we don't want that! LOL

katie-sorry about af. Fresh start right?!

cold meds do sway, but depends on which ones you use, some sway girl, and some sway boy.
antihistamines sway girl.
pinkin2011
January 3rd, 2012, 12:46 AM
A good cry does always help , your friend is right and i think sleep helps even more so!! Well Katie if af is here you shouldnt be too far behind me then? I hope you feel better tomorrow its horrible when you have days like that.
Purple sky your right and we could all try and do the exact same sway but not all of us would get girls would we. You just have to do what you feel right with and try to keep it as simple as possible. I used to drive myself even more nuts about it a few months ago then i do now i would write out new plans every week and worry and stress about them. I now have something so simple whether i get my girl or not who knows but i do know i am trying hard and i am doing things different. For some reason I am not very positive about it but will see.

January 3rd, 2012, 01:31 AM
Pinkin what CD are you? I am cd 6 so af should be completely gone by tomorrow. We have been ttc on/off for over 4 years so I have dropped the strict sway. I just want to get pregnant now, I mean I would love to have a baby girl so I'm doing some things different with a little swaying but def. not extreme.

I am due to o on the 9th or the 10th. attempt will be in the evening of the 8th with hope that i get a positive opk. Like you I just really want to get preg, we only have one d/s but like everyone else i have my reasons for wanting a girl BUT i would be happy with another boy. I am not extreme with my sway but i am doing things alot different to when i concieved him. Our d/s is 3 and a half so i dont want anymore of a gap then this...

Wow, it is only Jan 3rd. I can't keep up with all the posts...it is fantastic though, to see so many TTC in Jan.
Hi to anyone I have not met yet. I have tended to duck in every now and then for the past few months, but now this is my month to TTC as well, so I will be around more. I can't wait to hear how everyone goes. I have a good feeling about 2012.
Pinkin, I agree that it is best to keep a sway as simple as possible. When you first start reading about every tiny thing that could sway you want to include it all.
I am due to O between 25th-27th Jan, so I still have a while to wait. No Rephresh, I have adjusted my diet since NY day to make it more girl friendly. My CM pH is 4-4.5 when I am not on the diet anyway. But I am mostly trying to stay healthy. I believe in moon signs and should O in a new moon, a girl moon and my biorthyms for Jan say girl. I almost always O in a boy moon, so want to make the most of this month.
I guess I want to get pg soon as I am 34 and DH is 37, so have dropped a lot of things I tried when TTC last year as I kept getting BFNs.
So it is a really relaxed sway. Now I just need my body to co-operate and my DH to be around when I need him!
All the best for those waiting to POAS, and those on the countdown to O. FX! Peony
pinkin2011
January 3rd, 2012, 02:27 AM
Hi Peony,
This month is very very busy!! Good luck with your attempt I hope it all goes well... Are you getting d/h to F/R or abstain.... As for moon signs I am not sure what to believe i concieved my d/s in a girl moon this time i o right on full moon bit worried about it but as i said if i wait for the right moon id be waiting nearly 12 months! and i dont have 12 months just to wait around!
PeonyPrincess
January 3rd, 2012, 04:13 AM
DH is not going to abstain due to his age. He will do F/R, but more like once a day if he can manage. May end up skipping a day if he needs to. But I'm not concerned about that. He has a very busy and stessful job, so he can only do what he can do. We are still hoping to keep it fun!
I know what you mean about waiting forever to O in the right moon phase. I know some take primolut to delay their period, so they will adjust their cycle, but if you can do other things to sway, I think it is much easier. I did a quick review on another site where women knew their O day and out of 15, only 2 of them had the opposite gender to the moon sign they conceived in. So I can't help but be interested in its influence now!
Where are you living pinkin? We are both awake so I thought you might be on my side of the world!
pinkin2011
January 3rd, 2012, 05:19 AM
I am in Australia too, In melbourne.. where abouts are you? Yeah I am not going to go as far as changing my cycle just yet i only have one d/s so if i end up with another maybe next time i will be more strict and sway with the moon and other stuff... I am not too fussed but i would love a girl.

I bought a 20 pack of the Clear Blue digital ones, that way I don't have to deal with the two line confusion. I'm just going to DTD as soon as I get a smiley face. I figure I'll either just go straight to two a day as well since I have 20 of them, but I might try just doing one a day for a couple days. I keep trying to tell myself to start out doing one a day, but I doubt I'll be able to keep from doing two. haha What times do you plan on testing?

Just have to get this off my chest............ My d/h family is huge like 27 first cousins on his mums side... 2 girls 25 boys... the two girls dont have kids but one of the boy cousins has 3 kids ( Boys) another cousin has 2 kids ( boys) another cousin has 4 kids ( 3 boys 1 girl) now 2 other of his cousins have a boy each and both their partners are expecting one is in january and one in feb they are both having girls!!! Now i cant see me as having any luck or hope seeing as though they are now having the girls another boy just has to be born I cant see me getting a girl they have taken all the luck from me... I cant help but see it that way.. sounds odd i know but for some reason i think this, makes me kind of sad

It is better to do two a day anyway because that way you wont miss it if it happens in the evening. I plan to start testing in the morning.. so tomorrow is the 4th i am due to o on either 8th 9th or 10th... its hard to pin point with me i am not smack bang on the dot every month. going to bd once on + opk.. d/h released twice today very proud of him... Dannikins, pinkin, I am in Darwin. It is always bloody hot here! Originally from Perth, but we are here for a few years for DHs work. I love Melbourne- aah, the shopping and food. And we really want to go to Tassie. Thought about it last year but ended up deciding the 2 hour flight to Bali was more doable with the kids then the trek down there!
I bought a 30pack of OPKs on ebay months ago and then couldn't find them recently, so I ordered more. Of course, now I have found the originals, so I have them coming out of my ears. I also ordered the Clear Blue digi ones (but only 7 pack) and they are taking ages to arrive (too many public holidays).

Wow, ladies - this thread is so hot I can't keep up with it anymore! It's only 7:30am here, and I already have 3 new pages to read since about 11pm last night!
Anyway, I just took a FRER with some pee I saved from when I got up in the night at 4am, and there is a very, very faint second line. It's so faint that if it hadn't appeared within 10 minutes I would think it's an evap. I'm excited, but I'm going to be cautious about declaring it a BFP - I'll wait and see what tomorrow brings.

My boobs have been a little sore/sensitive, which they NEVER are, and I've been terribly constipated for the past week. Holy crap! I just weighed myself after my shower since I've been away from my scale for a week and a half! The first time I stepped on it it said 99lbs!!! I kept stepping off and stepping on again and kept getting different numbers (it's a crappy digital scale), but I never got anything higher than 104. I've seriously never weighed so little since hitting puberty. I'm short, but big boned and not particularly petite, so this is a crazy low weight for me. Before I started all this swaying stuff last May, I weighed 128-130. When I conceived my angel baby I was 109lbs. I guess I was even lighter this time. Probably a week of eating nothing but side dishes at MIL's house did it. Good thing I got my BFP since I'd worry I'd simply disappear (or at least stop ovulating) if I kept on this diet for much longer!

You know, I'm almost afraid to start eating. I've been toying with the idea of eating breakfast, but the thought feels so weird. This doesn't feel real yet - I'm afraid the line will be gone when I test again tomorrow.

MJ, if it feels right, start eating breakkie...I would say ease into the extra cals over the next few wks so your body can get used to the changes but you can definitely eat the once taboo things...:agree:
BTW, :holysheep:...99lbs.??? My scale has been stuck at 110 forever and I seriously don't see it budging.

I could have sworn I was 115 when we left for our trip on the 22nd...is it even possible to lose 115lbs in a week and a half? I wasn't exactly starving myself, and I ate like a pig the last 2 days. Maybe my scale's broken.

So, as I posted on the internet psychics page, I've been a bad, bad girl....
I've gotten two readings this past week and they both said BOY. Haha! The first said boy to concieve/birth Feb/March 2012/2013..
The second reading said BOY find out pregnant/concieve/birth Jan/Feb 2012/2013 (to make things more interesting, she said I'd find out pregnant/concieve/birth June 2016 ANOTHER BOY!!!), so I was feeling really despaired about that for a while, that two pychics said boy, because I've always had a gut feeling that I'd have at 3 boys, but I always had a feeling that the girl was out there somewhere too.
I've done some research on 2nd pyschic Ruby and she gets a lot of gender wrong but a lot of time frames right, so here's hoping since I plan to TTC in April which would lead to...(drumroll, please!) a January 2013 birth, which was predicted (I'm cracking myself up here...) so I'm not going to change my plans around based on some psychic's words. It's just for fun, although honestly, I did unnerve me. I really thought I'd be fine with a 3rd boy, but I know now that if I got pregnant again and boy 3 was on his way, I'd love him, of course, but that it wouldn't be so simple to dismiss my feelings of still wanting a daughter....
I told my husband about the psychics and he got annoyed because he is somewhat supersitiutious and doesn't like the future being "tampered with..." on the other hand, since I told him we are not TTC anymore, he is all over me...UGH, I am soooooo not in the mood for any sex whatsoever now!
If I could, I would be penis free until April, hahahah! Or we could be on our way for our third pull out baby boy accident!

I don't know if this is all in my head, but suddenly I FEEL pregnant. I'm feeling sick to my stomach again, and I ate a piece of toast about an hour ago (first brekkie in months), so I know it's not just hunger. I know m/s is a horrible thing, but I had NO symptoms with my pregnancy last Fall and we all know how that ended.... So... DH and I have been very quiet about having another baby. I have maybe one or two friends who know our plans. Well, today while I was on the phone with my mother, I complained about having cramps... and her reply was "Better cramps than being pregnant." She's said things like this in the past as well, and I worry she won't be happy for us if/when we get pregnant. :(

Lots of my family make comments like that to me. I thought it would all end after my m/c. They didn't even know I was pregnant before that, but my Mom told all my brothers about what happened so they'd know what I was going through. One of my brothers made a comment over Christmas about how I should have asked Santa to bring me some birth control. I know he probably regretted saying it as soon as it came out (he was trying to tease me), but it felt like a knife after all the heartache I've gone through over the past year of TTC, swaying, and losing my angel baby.

Congratulations Mocha!
Cd 3 and I am so over AF! She should be gone by Thursday (hoping friday).
Trying to figure out set plans on when to take the repHresh. I don't think I will ovulate until cd 17 or 19. As that is what it was last cycle and the cycle before that.
Is it ok for dh to take hot showers instead of baths? Hubby is 6ft4 and yeah tub isn't exactly the best for him since he is so tall.. He refuses to wear "tighty whiteys" because apparently his "package" is too big for them.. LMAO.
For those who took benadryl, when exactly did you take it?
I want to dance as a excercise. I know that seems silly, but with 3 kids under 4 and a husband who works a lot I think it will help. I lost 25 pounds before just dancing a hour sometimes 2 hours a day.
Still trying to figure it all out. I saw some of you are taking replens and sylk? I googled it and saw what it was just wanted to know the difference between repHresh and replens is, and sylk can you use any other lubricant?
Hope all is well with everyone!

KD, you can find pyschics and where to find them on the internet pyschic gender prediction thread in the "chit chat lounge" but I found ruby via her website ttcbabylovepredictions, but now after I've paid money for her reading and got it, I've read some terrible things on the web about her, so I would so not go to her again, though she was prompt
roseknows just google her name and you'll find her website, she was alright, but I don't think it was worth the money at all, it just caused me more anxiety about concieving more boys in the future...stress was so not what I needed hehe
I don't even fully believe them, but still, it is unnerving to pay for news you did not want to hear....

I say bring on the symptoms - at least it will help me know there's a bean cooking in there!
If it makes you feel any better (in terms of even a sad thing like pregnancies lost)... my first two pregnancies that ended in miscarriage had ZERO symptoms, as well. Nothing. Nada. Felt normal. That should have been my warning sign, for sure.
My third, and first, successful pregnancy with my son, as I was still waiting for my post 2nd miscarriage period, my first symptom was nausea... well, actually, it went like this...
We went to visit a friend in Liverpool, and we went out to eat lunch and this place had MEGA portions. They were (men) both struggling, and I said, "Oh, yeah, I got this. I'm finishing it!" And I did. They were pretty stunned.
A couple nights later, I spent all day making this big vegetarian shepherd's pie, and when it got down to eating it, I ate most of the mashed potato but stopped. I just felt way too uncomfortably queasy.
Then that morning, I woke up and felt like I was going to throw up. I told my husband I was calling into work because I thought I had a stomach bug. He left for work, and I called in sick to work, then I laid in bed going, "UGGGGGGGH. I cannot believe I have a stomach bug!" followed by, "UGGGGGGH! When in the hell am I going to get my period?! I just want to start over again..."
Then I laid there and thought, "Oh... uhhh..."
Had one test left over from my second pregnancy, and it was super positive.
Heeh. :D
So, feeling sick? I can relate, after a pregnancy loss, that is SUCH a reassuring sign!

Hi everyone,
I am too nervous to test!
I have cramping pains, sore boobs, my temp was 98.6, I am nauesous, a bit dizzy and irritable!
I am 15 dpo and I know I am pregnant without testing.
I will be happy but I am just coming to terms with a postive pg! We have talked and talked every month for a year about this....but we never came close to really trying to conceive we were focused on trying to only get girls in there!! lol I wish that were possible!
I guess I am scared...I am now 38 and my sway was horrible.
This is the last baby for me....there are so many things to be scared of...I work full time and will be pg with 2 kids.
I am already a tired stressball! I am worried about the baby's health, even the due date which is September 11th which does not make me happy....and then, the gender issue to top it all off!
Of course I would love another baby,...a boy or girl. I think my sway was brutal....I did not stick to any diet, I stopped all supplements bc I was confused, I took sinutab bc I was sick (not reactine or zyrtec like I was supposed to), and we dtd a lot!
And, just like many others with stories about parents saying things that are not helpful......Christmas Eve a family sits down in church behind us with two girls. My mom joked and said we should switch a child so we have one of each! She has no idea how much that hurt me. I am the third chilid and she had a girl and a boy and she has told me all her life she did not need me bc she already had one of each,...of course, she then tells me how I was a Godsend and I am actually her favourite. But, there is sooo much pressure now to have a girl. If it were just up to me it might be easier but everyone has to comment or put in their judgement.
Sorry for the rant!
I know you all want to be happy for me.....I am just scared right now and trying to process....I already know what the test will say!
I will spend the rest of the day trying to focus on good things.,..being home from work, telling my two boys they will have another sibling,..they will love it!
Thanks for listening.
I hope everyone understands:):kissy:

We totally understand, lemon. We're all here because we are experiencing or have experienced gender desire, and it's totally normal to be scared when you get pregnant. I've swayed 3 times - one failed sway with ds3, one sway for which I'll never know the outcome with my angel baby, and this one. Each time I've been scared about what would happen. This is DEFINITELY the last child for us as well, so if this is a boy, it means I'll never get my girl....
I just think if you ARE pregnant you should test so you know for sure and can start taking good care of yourself - eating well and taking proper prenatals. I just took a prenatal today for the first time since my m/c (I was just taking folic acid on its own while swaying), and I also made myself eat some breakfast.
No matter what, we're here for you :hugs:

Some people that have asked if i am ever going to have another start saying i have done the wrong thing there will be too much of a gap trying to make me feel guilty, I guess to i have been putting it off because i badly want a girl ( Which reasons why is a whole other story) and i really think i wont get one my d/h says to me if you keep saying you wont get a girl and thinking you wont get one then you wont. She knows I've always wanted four, but she just has to put her two cents in. I love her dearly, but I don't always feel emotional support from her. Of course, if I try to tell her how I feel I am this big bad wolf and she is so broken over it, and then we fight over it. I just want to know that if/when the days comes that I announce we're expecting that my mother will be happy for me... but instead I'll probably get lectured. If I admit we actively tried to get pregnant the lecture will be about money and how three kids is enough. If I shamefully lie and say it was a pleasant surprise, the lecture will be about how we should have been smarter and more careful. I can't win. We're 25 and 26 years old. We live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood. DH has a great job. My business is growing more and more successful with every passing day. We've got three wonderful boys who are growing into wonderful young men. Who cares if we have one more? We have the space. We have the money. We have the love. She'd say we don't have enough money though, and that four is so many, and blah blah blah. I just don't want to have to go through it with her, but it is what it is. Everyone thinks we're insane for wanting more, which is why we're not talking to anyone about it. If I didn't have all of you, I would probably go crazy.

January 3rd, 2012, 05:54 PM
Yes, I think Vitex and SP can make you O earlier - that happened to me last summer. I think the only reason they don't recommend you use OPKs in the morning is that your LH levels will tend to be higher later in the day...but I don't think it would be possible to get a false positive just because you used FMU.
I think you should assume this is it and get ready to BD!! :luck:

xokatietatie,
OMG, I read your post about having four kids and it is me to a T except I am working on a 5th. I know my mom will freak and not be supportive. Like you I and my DH take care of our children, so why should we be judged for having more than the normal 2.2 or whatever it is children. I too feel like no one can know we are even TTC. I joke about getting pregnant here at work and I get mixed views, mainly that I am insane for wanting more. If you and you DH can handle loving a big family, I say go for it!!! I am tired all the time as you probably are and one more will not add that much to the exhaustion LOL!!!

My ebay OPKs say not to use first morning urine as LH is synthesised in your body early in the morning. However, they say it won't show up until later in the day. And yours has obviously shown up in the morning, which makes me think it is a +OPK. I can just picture your DH! They are so easy-pleased aren't they! GL!!

It sounds to me like all these families need to butt out. How opinionated and hurtful they sound. We are always more sensitive to things our family say, whether we like it or not.
Last night I watched a program about the journey sperm make in the female reproductive system (how appropriate!) and it reminded me just how miraculous it is that any of them survive to meet up with the egg in the first place. They literally have everything against them and by some amazing process and with a good deal of luck, one is the winner.
