LMW had to like that one ;) sorry you are feeling poorly :( my m/s was longer with ds2 & 3 7-16wks than this pregnancy but not as bad only sick maybe once or twice a day - felt horrid but not physically too bad. This time it was awful much worse from 6.5 till about 12wks very sick if i ate if i didnt eat i cried alot!! I still am not great but gradually improving since 12wks. Hopefully for you it wont last too long - have you tried eating little and often, sickness bands? Hot water definitely helped me too

LMW my neusea is still there as well, it comes and goes now so I do have the odd day where I feel good. I'm desperate to feel better and to be honest it's really put me off pregnancy! I was fine with the boys! I'm hoping at 12 weeks there will be a miraculous event and I'll start to have the pregnancy glow and feel good! I can hope I guess lol

Charlie - fruit cravings are excellent girl signs!
Congratulations Auroara
Sunset glad your home with your princess :-)
I am getting annoyed with my body clock, seems that Im tired and feel awful all day but perk up about 6pm before the kids go to bed, I need that energy in the day. Spent most of the weekend in bed on and off but not sure how Ill manage tomorrow. I have my scan at 8am so need to leave the house at 650am, that will catch up with me later in the day. Think Im going to try to be in bed by 830pm each night in case its because Im not getting enough night time sleep.
Will update tomorrow after my scan - not sure what to think really, but I know I can deal with either outcome but just need to know now xx

FX for your scan chocolate - is it for any reason you are having an early scan? Sorry if i have missed it x
Auroara - congrats on the BFP did you sway long?
Wishing the fruit craving is a girl sign....i had one with ds3 but that wasnt till i was heavily pregnant and it was hot!
Cant believe I forgot to say I got my NT screening test results on saturday 1 in 27000 which is FANTASTIC for me - so happy x ds1 was 1 in 67 so much better than him x just need to pass the 20wk scan as ds2 had enlarged ventricles so he was also high risk!! Would be nice to even it out with 2 high risk 2 non high risk babies :D

Great news on the results Charlie!
My early scan is just because I was in the process of being referred for my 9 day luteal phase defect and also because of PCOS and they offer early scans there so I jumped at the chance after miscarrying at 13 weeks. If the worst has happened then Id want to know asap to get on with the process so am keen for early scans for that reason.

Charlie, that is such great news to hear hunny!
Kell, that is great news about your birthday being my due date...that means there are baby girls born in September!!! FX my baby girl is on her way!
I've been swaying since Oct, but Oct was a no month because hubby had performance issues (he couldn't do it once he knew I was ovulating! LOL) Nov we tried but BFN, and so this is really only our second cycle TTC'ing. I threw some things out the window, like I cut back on jels and we had more than one attempt, but overall I am mostly pleased with my sway. I realize now that after swaying you psycho anyalzye everything, and now i wish I had used some jels or something! But I had very little EWCM (I usually have a ton and was in new moon, etc) so fingers crossed it's a pink bean!!
I just have this looming shadow, you know, that it's probably boy 3, but I'm trying to be positive...did any of you ladies do the Ramzri theroy at your early scans?

Great great news about the scan charlie- you must be so relieved.
Aurora- I am the same, getting worried....I don't dare look at early scan pics re: placenta/ramzi, I don't want to loose my dream yet. It is difficult to work out what is left/ right though as it depends if they are 'looking' down or up at uterus if you know what I mean, I get really confused, I guess I'd like someone to explain.

January 8th, 2012, 04:37 PM
when i had my scan on wednesday baby was on the left side but i didnt want to ask where placenta was as i didnt dare! still holding on to the slim chance this one might be a girl. i never got a scan photo neither so wouldnt be able to ask anyone where the placenta might be! but i sort of wish i never had the scan as im obsessing over the ramzi theory now when i know i shouldnt! Arggggh. im dreading what my 12 week scan might be like!

Happylea - sounds like a great sway plan!! I did a splime attempt as well as "natural" attempts. I had dh leave a sample and added pure lime and then inserted it slowly with a syringe
Charlieispy - that's amazing!! 1/27000 is crazy :D I got 1 in 900 with dd which is the lowest I've had. Thank you :) I think I might have worded it wrong, dd passed all her scans in pregnancy with flying colours and she had 2 doctors examine her in hospital and they were both happy with her :) she's perfectly healthy :D :cheer:
Chocolate - good luck at the scan! :)
Indigoviolet - I'm sorry to hear you're suffering with MS :( it really is terrible!
Littlemisswilko - I wish everyone would get their DG and I especially think all you ladies bloody deserve it! I did suffer ms in this pregnancy but I was sick, just had constant nausea all day until about 12-13 weeks when it started to ease off. Fx it's a girly sign for you! :)
Kell - hope you feel better soon! Seems like a lot of ladies on here are suffering with ms as the moment
Deaks - thank you hun!! I can't wait for your pink bfp! Fx it happens soon, would be a great start to 2012!!
Wishing4pink - how are things at your end? Will you be swaying this spring as planned?
Lavenderlime - when is your next attempt?
Auroara78 - congrats on your bfp!!! Fx for a pink bean! :)

Lavenderlime, I'd do the same as Kell, make as little a fuss as possible, get him a small gift. My Dh is usually ok at birthdays, always asks me what I would like and gets it, makes more of an effort at xmas with surprise gifts, but birthdays are usually quiet but nice. We did go to Rome for my 30th a few yrs ago, but I had to do all the arranging! For Dh's b'day we used to go to his work and while he wasn't at the van decorate it stupidly, but we only have 1 car now which he uses to get to work to collect the van (isn't allowed van home), so I ain't using the bus to do it....think the boys missed doing it this year!! Do the opposite of what u usually do for him, might make more of an impact?
I used to have a few 'off' days when swaying, it's tough and I can't imagine having to do it over xmas, so a few days of what u like is good for the soul...keeps you going. If I hadn't of cheated a day here and there after OV I would off completely gone off the waggon!
Babymad, how are you? been thinking of you, wondering how you are? Glad u had a lovely time away!
Kell, I go through phases I can and can't be bothered with sex. Still waiting on this increased sex drive you read about....think I missed it!!! lol It's getting a bit more 'difficult' now tho! lol But Dh says he doesn't mind, know he prob does, just being kind about it. He knows that it's not c'os I don't want to, just getting awkward!!! Enjoy ur weekend.
Sunset, hope Serena's 1st night at home went well? and ur both well?
Maybe, I get this 'furry feeling' as I call it lol.... when it seems like a baby is digging down into my cervix, usually when on the laptop/ leaning forward. It's a horrible feeling....can be uncomfy too. Hope baby Dave leaves ur cervix alone!! lol
LWM, still feeling sick?? Might be a 'girly' sign for you if u weren't sick with the boys? I was sick with ds2 and the twins, not ds1, but to have 2 pg's with no MS, now u have it! FX it's a girly sign for u!
Charlie, how are u keeping?
Z, what time is your scan on tues? My mum was coming with me, but Dh might get home earlier, mine's at 2.30pm. Boys keep asking when they can see the babies on the TV!! Bless. Can't wait till 18th to surprise them! think we will take them sledging b4 we go. I will need to watch :( They got lovely new sledges for xmas....and NO snow!! plenty of wind tho, they could prob go on the sand and get blown up the beach!!! lol
Deaks, how are u? any news?
Hi to everyone else! and any newbies I have missed!
May have found a car! It's thankfully only 40 miles away, so might go up tomorrow and see it. I've always bought from big name garages, but this is a smaller family run garage, so not sure if they will trade in our car, if so what will we get for it etc... We got out current car for £11,000 18mths ago. It's now 3yrs old and the garage we bought it from only want to give us £7,300!!! almost £4k loss in 18mths....NO CHANCE! the only prob with the new car, well MPV!! is it doesn't have tinted windows or Alloy's which are HIGH on dh's list of musts!!! Told him to pack in the cigs and he can add these things. (I wish) It's a 6 seater, which suits us better, alot of the 7 seaters don't have any boot space and the ones that do have high insurance and tax. It's also another Diesel, a Honda and in Black which was more of Dh's tick boxs! lol Basically our car, same engine, but with 6 seats. Downside to MPV's is you have to buy with higher mileage and a bit older to get a bigger car. But hope it lasts just over 3yrs till car loan paid off then we can choose a new car Dh really wants and not need to worry about boot space for a twin buggy! Stresses me out as I'm the 'finances' person in the house, Dh ain't got a clue!! about ANYTHING! Bills etc....he couldn't even guess what we pay. He just gives me his wages into our joint acct minus his cig money and that's his job done in his eyes!!! lol
Have a great weekend ladies! x
I'm feeling better than I was thanks. Not being sick now, still feel sick but I certainly don't miss being sick!! I am still very tired all the time but that's normally because I'm anaemic in pg so some days are really hard work but I'm trying to make the most of the odd days when I do feel half human. I a really struggling with migraines too which isn't very nice and gets me down some day. I really wish I was one of those who enjoyed being pg!! I have ate lots of rubbish over xmas too, snacking on biscuits and cake so I will like a biffa already :(
On a positive note I have my 20 weeks can on Friday :) looking forward to seeing bubs as I haven't felt loads of movement yet so I am anxious to know everything is ok. As much as I'm excited I am scared too incase I see any boy bits - I spotted what I thought to be by bits at DS3's scan and obviously it turned out I was right!
How are you feeling now? How big is your bump now? We have an SMax which is a 7 seated and a great car!
Have you bought any oink yet?

FWIW (and I'm not sure it's worth anything!) when I went for my scan at 10ish weeks because of my bleed baby was on the left side and it was also confirmed that I had ovulated from the left side (that's the ovary my corpus luteum was on) - so perhaps babies kind of hang out where they originated from?! That would be a good sign in that case LMW!!

Chocolate, The car we are going to see is a Honda FRV, 3 seats at front and 3 at back. The middle seats on both rows slide back and you still have boot room for a twin buggy! My friend had one, she has twin girls and 2 other kids and LOVED it! Hopefully perfect?? Go see it tom, my mum taking boys so we can look in peace!
Z, think I read somewhere the layout was modelled on ur Multipla. Dh is DESPERATE for a VW caravelle, but would need to win the lotto for one of those, although they are FAB!! Will be thinking of you at 11am and how excited and relieved you will be when you come out and to hear GIRL a second time (know u will for sure, esp with the gender scan u had) and then you can go shopping for PINK if u get time! Have a great birthday too!!! enjoy time with hubby! My 4d scan is £122, with 2 colour pics and a 5min dvd. Not bad when the ordinary gender scan alone is £89! We got a discount, but it's usually £135 (I think). My mum gave me £30 towards it as she knew how pricey it was, bless :) 12 sleeps to go, although I will be asking again on tues and every 2wks after that!!! lol
Charlie, glad u got a well deserved lie in!! My boys got up and fed themselves today and then ds2 came in at 9.45am to ask if he could play the Ds!! Couldn't believe it!! Ds1 is 9, he had got them apple juice and cereal and they watched a harry potter movie, said they got up at 8.20am!! I live in a bungalow and the living room is right opposite my bedroom, so I always hear them, or ds2 comes in beside me!! Pls don't call social services!!! lol Bad mum!
LOL Inglewood! :) you are not the only one who leaves your kids to their own devices in the morning ;) My DS1 is 8 and is really good at getting my 4 and 3 yr old breakfast too :) None of mine got up until 8.30am this morning - bliss :)

babymad - hope you had a lovely time away - cant be long till your scan?? Have you decided if you are team green or not??
Hope you lovely ladies are all ok x headache isnt so bad today DH let me lie in again and i have my 4head stick in my pocket or by my bed 24/7 hoping not to have to take cocodamol again like with ds2 and 3!! Just made some scones for later and i have such a fruit craving spent £20 on fruit!!!! Only got my food shop on friday but already eaten 2 packs of strawberries, bag of grapes and some blueberries!! WHOOPS
Hiya, sorry you've been getting headaches, me too!! I didn't realise you could use anything so I will try the stick as I have been getting awful migraines which last for days :(
My scan is on Friday so looking forward to it :) staying team green but very scared I'll see boy bits!

Hi all,
LMW, as I was having right-sided pain, I asked "Is that where my placenta is?" she said no it was at the top of my womb in the middle. That was my sneeky way of asking, but didn't make me anymore sure as didn't know what middle top is according to all the theories!!! lol My sickness was gone at 14/15wks this pg, with ds2 18wks... Fx it's a girly sign for u!
Babymad, glad ur not being sick anymore, hope ur not too anaemic and feel better soon.. I ate loads over xmas too, making up for lost time being so sick!! Is their boot space in the SMAX for a twin buggy???? I have bought a few Pink things as the sales were on, not much and I have kept all the hangers and receipts in a box ready to take back after the 18th if need be! Bought my cotbed, mattress, cot divider and all my Avent bottles, steriliser. Not planning to attempt BF with twins, couldn't manage it longer than 3wks with ds2 and had a terrible time with ds1. So for sanity reasons all round and take some of the pressure off me, dh and I decided we would bottle feed. If it was 1 baby, would try BF again, but couldn't do it with 2. Feel kinna bad not trying, but with ds1 I was very ill with mastitis (almost back in hosp, was delerious due to the infection) and with ds2 I was so close to Post natal depression as I was so stressed, then my dad had a stroke and that was the end of BF. Wish it was tues as I have a scan and will ask again, they will be so fed up with me asking!! luckily it's been different people each time. Hope ur scan goes well on fri and u don't see anything too obvious!! Dh saw ds2's bits and knew he was a boy, but I didn't see anything. When is ur scan? Even with 2 in there I didn't feel alot of movement until later than expected, around 18-20wks, do u know where ur placenta is? might be in the way?? They are making up for it now tho! Was hemming my trousers tonight and Dh watching soprano's they either thought I was being boring or they liked/dis-liked sopranos!! Was being kicked top and bottom, sides, you name it!! lol
Our kids back to school today (realised it's after midnight now!) We didn't go and see the car today, Dh changed his mind! typical!! But think we will prob go see it thru the week, shame it's a 45mins drive away.
Called in sick for work, having this 'stitch' like pain, spoke to the midwife and she thinks it's ligaments stretching with 2 in there, so she did an urgent physio referral (apparently a 5wk wait otherwise) and I have to take it easy and see consultant on tues. It does just feel like stretching, but sore if I'm on my feet for a long time, an asda shop is so painful on my bump my mum comes now and my shifts are 12.5hrs! Not bad to get to 23wks in my job pg with twins, in the past girls have left at 19 and 20wks, as it's so physically demanding, so even if I don't get back at all, I did not bad!! Wait and see what consultant says.
Nite ladies, gosh it's almost 1am... what a change from the early days when I was sleeping at 9pm!! x

Hi everyone, scan went ok, heartbeat seen but that was all, too small to tell much as measuring between 5 and 6 weeks she couldn't really get a good reading but said there is a good heartbeat there, only 1 seen too lol. The scanner was held more central but I don't know, have a feeling this was more more to the boy side - can't remember which means which now but sure at the time I knew and it looked more towards the boy side but didn't ask. Will ask at the 12 week scan though. Just glad all is ok for now as convinced myself there wouldn't be good news

Chocolate great news!
Inglewood sorry to hear that you've had such a hard time with breastfeeding. It is possible to breastfeed twins or mixfeed if you did possibly want to look into it? I know two twin mums and they both managed to breastfeed, one exclusively and one topped up with formula but they both said they actually found it easier than washing, sterilising and making up bottles for two and also much cheaper! But at the end of the day it's what works for you and your family, I just don't want your negative experiences to taint your ability in yourself to do it.
When do you think you will you start your maternity leave? Sorry to hear your feeling uncomfortable.
Babymad how was the school run? I was feeding ds2 cheerios in the bath whilst washing his hair this morning! I even set the alarm to get an early start but it's always a little hectic here!
Sunset I'm not attempting this month It would have been around Friday but I ran out of some of my sups for a week and let my diet slip for a few weeks. (just ate a little too much chocolate and had two glasses of wine over new years) Nothing major but I want this so badly I know I need to give it 100% so if I don't get my dg I know I have done my very best.
Indigo sorry to hear your not feeling great still.
Charlie what great results!
My delivery from anthropolgie arrive today which put a smile on my face it was only some latte bowls, and some anogrammed mugs (got one for DP too from the boys for his b.day) but love parcels and my milk tastes so much nicer out of a big chunky mug!
Right back to the spring cleaning, on a massive roll did the windows inside and out yesterday, sorting through the kitchen cupboards today.

Oh is already planning on extending as soon as we get the keys as he wants it ready before i have another little one. Still planning on ttc around april/may time. May make it abit later so not stressed with building work and will see when we get moved in.

LOL at Cheerios in the bath :) It didn't go too badly, I had a dreadful nights sleep so felt awful when the alarm went at 7am! I got up and got ready and had to wake all my boys up at 8am!!...I felt like I had done a days work by the time I had dropped them all off at school/ playgroup and then I had to go to work!! Counting down until Feb half term ;)

Inglewood ~ Sounds like you are getting really organised :) I haven't started to do anything yet! I gave ALL of my baby clothes away so I need to write a list really and start shopping. I had mastitis too with DS2, its not nice! Bottle feeding will be a lot easier for you so don't feel bad, practicality has to come into our decision making! We had an Out and About double pushchair for DS2 and DS3 as there is only 16 mths between them (so my life was VERY twin like for awhile!) and that did fit into the SMAX with the boots seats up too. GL with the physio app x
Chocolate ~ Great that you got to hear the HB :)
Lavender ~ I have been spring cleaning too - never ending!

I go back and forth between the feelings on a daily basis, I just know I'm going to drive myself crazy before my 20 wk scan! My OB doesn't do NT scans at 12 weeks...he does confirmation at around 8 weeks, then the gender scan at around 20 weeks, last time I found at 18 weeks, but the U/S tech was pissed that we got in two weeks early!
Nini, yes of course I remember you hunny! I'm so glad you found us here on this website, I can't even get on IG at all now, and this is a great group of ladies! I did mostly IG diet as far as diary and low meat goes, but some of the LE diet, as far as trying to cut back on meat in general, and eating less nutritious foods...the first thing I did once I got my BFP was a huge bowl of mashed poatoes, I missed poatoes and bananas so much! I've always been indulging in some chocolate, though it's kind of turning my stomach! UGH, already! I always hate sweets/chocolate in my first trimesters.
Lavender, I agree if you don't feel about this month, skip it! And I love that you've been cleaning, I always say if you feel like cleaning up, do it...as for me, I don't always feel that way, so when I do feel motivated about the house, I try to go hog wild! I just finished putting up some cute baby wall stuff for DS2's nursery...and my DH says..."Uhhh, aren't you a few months late in decorating his room?" I say as long as it's get done, it's never too late :P
Zan, that is very interesting about ovualting from the left. I will be sure to ask at my 8 week scan, though I will be happy if I hear left, I won't count myself out until they actually confirm the gender!

Hi all,
LMW, as I was having right-sided pain, I asked "Is that where my placenta is?" she said no it was at the top of my womb in the middle. That was my sneeky way of asking, but didn't make me anymore sure as didn't know what middle top is according to all the theories!!! lol My sickness was gone at 14/15wks this pg, with ds2 18wks... Fx it's a girly sign for u!
i do hope so!!! xxxx :fingers:

Hi everyone, scan went ok, heartbeat seen but that was all, too small to tell much as measuring between 5 and 6 weeks she couldn't really get a good reading but said there is a good heartbeat there, only 1 seen too lol. The scanner was held more central but I don't know, have a feeling this was more more to the boy side - can't remember which means which now but sure at the time I knew and it looked more towards the boy side but didn't ask. Will ask at the 12 week scan though. Just glad all is ok for now as convinced myself there wouldn't be good news
Chocolate great news about the scan!

Hi all,
charlie and babymad, sorry youre suffering with headaches. I have used the 4head roll on thing which was amazing for the one and only time i have had a proper migraine type headache...i expect the strips are even better!
Chocolate, great news about the scan!
Lavender, you are so strong to not be attempting this month, i really admire that! Oh and i love anthropologie!
Hi everyone else! As you can see am on cd 2 as got af late afternoon yesterday. So onwards and upwards. Think this is likely to be my last month of o+12. 90% back on the diet this weekend.... aiming for 100% tomorrow...fun times! Noticed that my af is very dark again this month...must be old blood caused by the crinone delaying af from 9dpo to 13 dpo, but not sure. Any ideas?

Meant to ask, I just dont feel hungry .......... anyone have this early pregnancy? I was starving with my miscarriage cycle and had to eat a banana in the middle of the night so cant be related to a healthy pregnancy or not, just odd. I had a chocolate milkshake this am, then a sausage in a bread roll 10 ish, then half a small plate of cauliflower cheese around 2pm, then a burger at 5pm, so small snacks but in most pregnancies Im starving even at 6 weeks. Odd!

I was getting this odd feeling like lots of bubbles at the top of my stomach, then Id drink some milk and still feel it, almost as if I needed to burp, odd! Couldnt tell if it was hunger or not so I just had a milkshake just in case. Im sure the hunger will come lol. This pregnancy is just milder, I had lots of bloating with my boys and wanted to be in maternity trousers at this stage for comfort but my jeans still fit perfectly :-)

chocolate- great news about the scan, really happy for you.
I had my first mw appt today, just makes me more nervous somehow thinking all this won't work out.
My friend brought her brandnew baby boy (3rd boy) to playgroup this am, he was super cute. I'm still not ready for a boy though! Trying to get my head to accept this will probably be the case. It does make it a LOT easier knowing someone else with 3 boys so at least I won't be on my own.
LMW- I am with you on the obsessing, can't stop!
Charlie hope the headaches get better. I have cocodamol, that's ok during pg? good to know as I get bad heads too. is it only after 12 weeks?

weird about your jeans - i was definitely in maternity jeans or leggings all the time by xmas with ds3 this time although i have a bump i am still comfortable in my jeans and less bloating early on!! Weird my boobs are horrendous though sooooo sore

cocodamol is ok but you arent meant to be prescribed it and its not really great in pregnancy - parcetemol is the only ok thing. If you take cocodamol in 3rd tri it can affect babies breathing and I would have to give up my homebirth luckily normally my headaches come fast and thick but for a short spell.....FX its the same for this one!

Urgh feeling crap again this evening! Made most of dp's dinner and ended up coming up to lay down for a while, dp then came in and asked if I could have some trousers cleaned by Wednesday. So I asked if he could put them in the washing machine and basically he said no! Maybe I shouldn't be working and should go to the doctors!
Honestly I'm stunned what an arsewipe! I've got morning sickness, the doctor can't so anything and what the hell is wrong with helping me while I'm clearly suffering! Arrrrrrrr
Deaks sorry af arrived,

I reckon you have a good shot at girl because of under average measurements, girls are smaller right? And scan showed bubs to the left............. Im going to find it very hard not to post my 12 weeks scan to obsess over but wouldnt want for the majority of people to say pink or blue as Id either wrongly get my hopes up or be disheartened. Ill learn to get excited at boy stuff again so thats ok

Chocolate, great news about the scan :)
Charlie, I had shocking headaches from 8wks till around 16wks?? Hormones prob?? Never had them with my pg with the boys!
Babymad, will u ask on fri the gender? Did u say you could still get a twin buggy in, even with all 7 seats down?
Lavenderlime, no I'm cool with bottle feeding now and not going to worry about it anymore. Just a teeny bit dissappointed, but know it's the best decsion for me and my family. Admire ur friends for doing it, admire anyone who can BF successfully, nevermind twins!!! Lol
Indigo, how did ur MW apt go? My youngest was almost 5 when I went to my 1st appt in Sept, funny how it all comes flooding back!!! lol Will you ask gender as soon as u can? or stay team green?
I had a busy day, kids back to school, dentist, mum came to help with housework :) bless! Then a wee trip to sanisbury's. Came hope to leaky nipples....worse than last wk, so out come the Breast pads for sure! Anyone else leak early like me? My bump pain better as I've rested alot and my mum had ofered to take boys overnight next wkend, a wk on sat!! WOOOOHOOO! They haven't ever stayed over! My dad had a stroke when ds2 was 3wks old and after he recovered they moved....just been alot on, but now they are all settled in new house, they offered! Brill! Wee cosy night with Dh.
Z, thinking of u at scan tomorrow!! Excited to see my babies again tom and dh should be there FX!
Hope ur all well? x

Inglewood I leak early on, and it carrys on throughout the whole pregnancy, I do make a good Cow tho, when Charlie was little I had way too much milk he nearly drowned by breast milk a few times lol!
I did try to give to the special care unit but apparently they don't take donor milk anymore.

Thanks all. Everything was ok with baby and the lady said 'girl' straight away when she looked - but I asked her how sure she was so she looked again and said it was very girly, all the could see was 3 lines in that area. I 'may' have bought one or two (or more) pink things afterwards! The tickets will all stay on just in case but it's my birthday tomorrow and I've asked DH for a 4D scan so hopefully we'll have it tripple confirmed before she's born!!

i too am the same kell getting my hopes up and thinking because these symptoms are different from my boys then this must be my big shot at a girl! but then i have to bring myself down to earth and remember that this isnt always the case and some pregnancys are different. i have to make myself think then if this is boy no 3 then he's only making me feel like this so i will think he is a girl and is trying to make me love him!

itchy legs was a nightmare in my pregnancy's! i had loads of red bleeding spots all over and was embarressed when i had to strip off on labour day! my legs looked horrific. i still have some scars on my thighs from where i used to scratch my self silly. if anyone was very watchful last Wednesday at one born every minute the girl who had the 10lb baby also had loads of red bloody spots all over her legs so she was obviously very itchy too! :)

Glad the scans went well and you both heard girls again :-)
Hair growth, the hair on my legs seem to be growing quicker this pregnancy than with my boys, but thought it should be less hair growth with girls ........ then again Im sure my body produces extra testosterone even in pregnancy due to the PCOS so hoping this explains the extra fast hair growth!
All nausea seems to have gone, sure I felt it a bit more with the boys, this pregnancy is so much more symptomless than all the others.

Hi Jennibel, welcome, im so glad you found us! Sounds like you are really motivated for your sway which is a great start. I would recommend o+12 personally as i truly believe its easier to get pg that way than cut off. Mind you this is coming from someone who has been swaying nearly a year. But both my chemicals in that time were o+12 so it works (kind of) for me. Im sure other ladies on here will give you some great advice. Will you get dh to take liqourice root? Im a real believer in this. Lovely to have you on board!
Thanks for the lovely welcome, I havent been on since so sorry for my slow reply. Yes DH will definately be on licorice root, got to order some. I think I will try saw palmetto too. O+12 scares me, I dont know why. I was thinking cut off but if it takes longer to conceive I think I might waver on the diet big style - I love my food, the girl diet scares me!

I've never been in full throttle labour and at the hosp today you could hear this woman screaming when we were outside the hosp...Dh said he didn't appreciate how lucky he has been/will be never having me go thru labour pains. Reminded him major surgery is no walk in the park too!!! Men! He's still in shock we heard girls again today, he said he went thru phases of hoping for boys/girls. He was never a believer in my sway, went along with it for my sake and still now when I am so grateful to have you ladies support and to find sites like this and PL to help me, he's still a non-believer... we will never know truly, but for me, I believe in swaying...

Charlie, how's the headaches?
My cotbed mattress comes tomorrow and cot bed on monday... also got offered a baby swing and a car seat today from my brother and his GF! Doesn't match my own beige/green car seat I had for the boys, but not fussed, just grateful!!
All my Avent stuff here too. So my LONG list of needed items is slowly coming down......

Morning ladies! :)
Inglewood ~ so happy your scan went well!! Yay for pink confirmation! I too believe in swaying! I mean, of course nothing is a 100% and there is still a chance of conceiving blue despite doing a pink sway but there is no doubt in my mind i would have had my 3rd son if i wouldn’t have swayed.
Jennibel ~ welcome onboard! :)
Littlemisswilko ~ your symptoms sound promising :)
Zanacal ~ great news! She’ll be here before you know it!

Hi everyone, pregnancy hormones suck, I feel so emotional and down, could just burst into tears but in a depressed way, no idea what's going on, just feel like crying a lot. No reason for it either, just feel fed up, hope this passes soon, never had it with my boys and didn't suffer with pnd, odd and got a long long time to go yet :-(

I think the only thing to keep an eye on with these are the protein and sodium content. I am not sure what diet you will be doing, but if it is the LE you would be okay to have those as long as you don't go over your limits (i.e. protein, calories, fat, sodium). I'd probably rather have something substantial like pasta or rice with that amount of protein, but the choice is yours.

Chocolate ~ hugs Hun, I have days when I am very hormonal too - its not nice and I totally understand how you feel. I suffer from depression in pg and it's no fun :( At least I know now though, I didn't really know what was happening to me in my first 2 pg's and just thought I was a freak! Then when DS2 was born I saw a programme on depression in pg and it all made sense at last. I defo had my moments over Xmas where my DH thought I had totally lost it because of my hormonal outbursts!! Everyone whether you have good or bad pg's have hormonal days so I hope yours ease up soon x

Happy birthday zanacal :-). Thanks ladies, hope I perk up soon, think maybe its hormones but also trying to keep on top of house, we work so hard and then I find out our sil is moving but borrowing 30 grand off of someone (she didn't say this but by what she said its obvious) and I think this is the mil, who never helps us, she has always said u have to work hard for what u get so if its her I'm going to be cross, we save our pennies but sil have just got new cars and used the last of their savings for it. So think its all of those combined things. I have so much sympathy for people who suffer from depression, there needs to be a lot more awareness of it. My sil also started to moan about a pregnant coleague being signed off for depression - her family seem to think being depressed is 'being run down or down in general and u need to just get it together' .... Hmm, enough said - I just changed the conversation. Anyway - hope u all have a lovely evening, may stick a pizza in all for me :-)

Sounds great Charlie! I feel so weak today. I must be anaemic again (which I normally am in pg) which normally makes me very tired and lethargic so I'm going to go to boots at the week-end and try the iron sachets that's threelittlemen took when she was pg, hoping that helps.
Mine had pizza tonight too ;) and a bath, just about to put them to bed and then I'm in the bath :) I feel massive already,I'm not but I feel it - god knows how I will manage when I am big :) I can tell this pg is taking its toll on my body, 4th pg, I'm older etc.....I know I could never do it again!
Hope you get some rest Hun and hugs for the headaches- anemia can cause headaches so make sure you get your iron levels checked x

Does anyone know what potty shots look like at 12 weeks ish. On another site some people have been told the gender at this stage and said either a penis wasnt seen or def. was seen, I thought it was way too early.
I was thinking of getting a potty shot at that stage as I didnt think it would be conclusive and wouldnt want to be disappointed hearing boy but wouldnt have minded a little peak and if Id have seen something protruding I could have still believed girl as would have said its the nub and too early, hmmm. Not sure if its worth asking now incase it is possible to really tell its a boy so early. What do you reckon?

I am on cloud 9 this morning! I went to see the GP to have my BP checked and it was 110/74, so it's definitely going down! slight difference from a week ago when i was constantly in the 140-60/95-110ish! I'm going back on monday to have my BP checked again and if it's still coming down to start wean of my medication! :D hopefully in a few weeks i should be back to normal!
i too love obem! and i'm recording the series this time around. I just can't face watching it just yet. Unfortunately with me ending up in critical care with severe hypertension i have to say i feel quite scarred from my hospital experience. i've even been arranged a debriefing with a consultant at the hospital in a few weeks to discuss my "traumatic experience" as they call it. I just hope i'll feel better about it all in a few weeks time when it's not so fresh in my memory

i was thinking about buying an angel Doppler as there are some going on ebay locally so i could just pick them up. but then thought about hiring the Doppler which are pretty much the same as the one the midwives use with the heart rate monitor. there £15 a month the cheapest ive seen or just £10 a month for the Doppler without the lcd screen. but i think i would start obsessing over the heart rate to see if it was girly or boyish!

My SIL just told me about nappies (Just4bums) she has been using from the Kiddicare site. They won the most recent Mother & baby award as best disposible nappy and are SOOO much cheaper than say Huggies (what I usually buy). She usually uses Huggies or Lidl (apparently she heard they are the same nappy, diff brand name??). She also said Tesco own brand nappies are Fab! Anyone got recommendations??? With ds1 I used pampers as he pee'd out huggies, ds2 huggies as he pee'd out pampers!! but with the possibility of needing over 70 nappies a week, gonna shop about!! Got tons of huggies last night in sanisbury's, but not getting anymore. And not even attempting cloth nappies!!! Maybe if this was my only kids, but with a family of 4 and all the washing for 2 newborns.....no chance! Looking into more enviromentally friendly ones too as 70+ a week is shocking!!

she mentioned at the beginning that they had met at fashion school and he was the only one that wasn't gay. i couldn't stop laughing! he is definitely camp. He may be in denial! Inglewood - I always use Tesco nappies, never had a problem with them no matter how old the baby/toddler! Huggies have always let me down and Pampers are just a more expensive version of the Tesco ones!
I'm so with you all on the water birth on last night's OBEM - I was envious of her peaceful, straightforward waterbirth but I had the urge to punch her husband in the face every time he was on camera!!
Kell

I do want a water birth this time! She barly seemed like she was in pain! I wanna handle labour like that! I did have to laugh about the not gay comment too! It's gotta be said he's more feminine than me! Lol
When he said about the dressing gown thing I cracked up, couldn't stop thinking about the film step brothers and the perfect family singing in the range rover! If you've seen it you'll know what I'm on about!
Do you know what I really am positive about this being a girl, I have to be, I'm a believer in a book called 'the secret' if I think positively the universe will bring about positivity and it WILL be in the form of a girl lol, I'm not a raving lunatic btw but I'm not particularly religious and I like to think positively because it makes my life better! I had a real struggle a few years back with depression when me and tommys dad seperated my aunt showed me the DVD and it just changed my thought process!
If however it is a boy I'll be fine, I'll have my baby and that's all that matters! :)

Hi ladies,
I am loving your fruit tickers they are fab!!! Cant wait to have one :)
With all my boys i used pampers nappies until they changed the design and removed alot of the absorbent stuff from back and then they started to pee through, i changed to ASDA's active fit and they are fab!!! Not one accident from my lil man and they are 2 big packs for £10 bargain compared to pampers! Would never go back to pampers!!!
OMG - I love OBEM, hubby and I lay in bed watching it last minute and must say she did very well in water birth and i wish my next labour could be like that. We laughed so so much at her hubby, he was in major denial surely!!! Very very camp!!!
Sunset - when you tried splime, do you think it affected you getting pregnant???
Hope all you lovely ladies and bumps are well.

Babymad, are you excited about your scan tomorrow??? Still team green or will you ask?
Just noticed in my notes I hd a trace of glucose in my sample yest!!! They didn't say! I was borderline for gestational diabetes with ds1 at 36wks...gonna need to be super good eating!!! Worried me a bit now...ds1 was over 9lbs, don't fancy 2 big babies to carry!
Excuse my memory, but who else has a scan tom??? x

Me inglewood! At 1:40!
I'm most definatly not team green, I couldn't wait to know either way! I'm a bit scared to ask for a nub shot! I suppose it's not an unusual request, I will ask if I can pluck up the courage! Lol

Hi girls.....
Sunset ~ pleased the BF is going well and great that your BP is lowering. I'm sure your experience will fade with time, great that you will get a chance to debrief x
Kell ~ loving your attitude, I love The Secret too! GL with your scan :)
Inglewood ~ Loving your bump pics, I haven't taken yet so very disappointed with myself! You can really see the difference in each pic which is lovely. I will try and get DH to take one tomorrow before our scan app. Have you put much weight on? I weighed myself today and I have put a stone on.... I nearly died!! I must stop eating crap or I'll really regret it. I'm sure they say about one stone and a half is average.....I've only got half a stone until I'm there!
Very excited about our scan tomorrow, still staying team green but will be looking for clues ;) will get a couple of pics too to obsess over for the next 20 weeks :) I am nervous too though.
I'm going to try supermarket branded nappies too as I want to save pennies with us having to buy all he baby stuff again! I have only ever used Huggies as they are great for boys.
I've been in the kitchen all day! Cooking a chicken casserole, baking cakes with DS3, my legs are killing :)

Inglewood your pictures are brilliant!
I never really did have many pictures with ds1 but with ds2 I can honestly say I never felt sexier or more comfortable in my skin than I did when pregnant with him, I took tonnes of pictures!
Here's a few if anyone wants to see, some with clothes some with undies.

hey ladies, hope you all doing well :HH:
I am getting worried as I'm not half as sick as I was a few days ago, gradually feeling better and better (just like I did around this time with my m/c at 11+5) so getting paranoid. When does a doppler start to work? would it be worth me getting one this early?
Got lots of planning to do for my day teaching tomorrow so will catch up properly tomorrow! xxx

Indigo it's totally normal to have symptoms come and go Hun but I totally understand your reason to worry, my Doppler was only £20 and altho I've not managed to find a heart beat as yet I can definatly hear the baby moving around in there! I haven't had a chance to sit for a long while and search yet tho,
There are a couple of girls I talk to on another forum who have found heart beats at 11/12 weeks.

If you've seen it you'll know what I'm on about!
lol that film cracks me up....i watched it for the 1st time the night b4 i went in labour with ds2, i laughed so much, it was summer and boiling hot all the windows and doors were open.... my hubby stood up the rd talking 2 some1 and said he could hear me laughing outside haha :) i swear that film was the reason i went in 2 labour!!!!
inglewood thanx for the link hun :0) love the bumpage pics btw!!
i use the asda nappies, i always used pampers but it was getting to expensive!! personally i think there fab no leakage of poo or wee!!!
indigo, im sure everythings fine sweetie, your sickness is prob just wearing off as your getting further along in the pregnancy......wiv ds1 i felt sick (never was tho) untill i was about 11 wks then nothing i freaked thinking something was wrong but i could hear him on my doppler and there was a perfectly healthy bean at my scan :) xx depending on what kind of doppler u get normally wiv a 'posh' one u can hear from around 10ks+ wiv angel sounds i can take abit longer 12+
dh has started a pluming course 2nite so im home alone :) ds1 didnt like daddy not being here for bedtime tho bless him! ergh i feel so stressed at the moment..... i hire out birthpools ect and im trying to decide weather or not to close down the business, i started it in 2010 and so far its not done 2 badly but omg it takes up so much time wiv the boys its to much but i kinda feel if i do ive failed if that makes sense?
anyhoo im rambling lol now gonna watch my recorded programme 'how to be a good mum' any1 catch it last night? xx

I put on almost 3stone with ds1 and 2 stone with ds2, god knows what I will this time, heard the average for twins is 3-4stone!!! holy cow! What time is ur scan? Will be thinking PINK for u!! xx

Inglewood/HB Princess - Acigel made my pH go up too! We can get it at the pharmacy here... I don't know if any of their online sites send overseas. Worth trying these things though.
Oooh lots of bump pictures. I did the watching my bump progress with both DS1 and DS2. I took more of the DS1 bump. I haven't taken any with this one because I'm fatter :( Someone asked me if I was pregnant before we were even trying - that was depressing! I never got my core muscles/tummy muscles back after DS2. I found a few piccies I have of DS1
This is a piccie from my wedding - I was 32 weeks. This is a fave...

Charlie - amazing Mei Tei!! Looks fantastic.
Well done on all the team greens. A part of me would like to wait but I know I just need to find out. I'm pretty convinced its a boy after 2 very clear boy nub shots from my 12 wk scan. I just want to have it confirmed so I can get used to the idea 100%. DH and I have been talking boys names too.
Kell - my boobs are swelling up but for me its normal. I look like Dolly Parton when my milk comes in :D
Ah a new series of OBEM! I wonder when it will get to Australia!!! We've got the US series at the moment which is just full of epidurals and stirrups! What is it with EVERY BIRTH using stirrups?!?!
Sunset - hope you feel better about the experience with time. My friend had a traumatic birth - she bleed HEAPS and they almost lost her. She was in intensive care for several days without the baby. But she has just had her 2nd baby - not a single problem. She was nervous as hell but coped really well.
Anyways - need to sort these kiddies out. DH is out playing Tennis and drinking beer tonight! So I'm trying to summon up the energy to put them to bed. Also I'm rambling rather a lot!

Enjoy your scan babymad!! Love all the pics, will have to remember to take some this time. I'm feeling a bit better now, not as tired and no nausea, bit worrying in one way but my 2nd pregnancy was easier than my 1st so think my body is used to it, makes me think boy though! Only get a bit hungry if I haven't eaten much, but feel worse for eating too much so tend to have milkshakes for brekkie or as a snack which seems to be the best thing for making me feel ok. No weight gain yet, had easily put on a few pounds by now with the boys, I'm sure it will come though lol

Awww all our boy bumps are lovely! So neat!
I can't wait to have a proper bump this time!
Feeling mostly ok the last couple of days, by the end of the days my boobs ache alot! But the nausea seems to be happening less often, mostly when I'm hungry first thing!
Really looking forward to this afternoon! Got a few bits to do before the scan do should come around quite quickly!
Ds2 is being very cute and giving my belly kisses and blowing raspberrys! He was running around when I was watching obem and when the babies arrive he's very interested! He's very good with babies, he wants to cuddle and kiss them all the time! I hope he's the same when this little one arrives! :)
Right must get on! I'll try and post pictures for everyone to scrutinise later on!

Morning girls,
Just popped on to wish Babymad and Kell good luck with your scans today!! Cant wait to hear what you see Babymad (or not see) hehe.
Aww all you ladies have beautiful bumps!!!
How are you Sunset and your gorgeous dd? how is she sleeping and feeding? Ds3 is quite good at night, he sleeps in a 'snuggle wrap' and its brilliant, stops him flinging his arms around in his sleep and waking himself up, although he is getting a bit big for it now :-( he is still in our bed, and just works well for us and means we all get some sleep lol. He is now on half breast half bottle, he is so hungry all the time i cant feed him myself every feed but he seems happy to do both bless him.
Looking forward to seeing those scan pics today girls, lots of love to you all x

Petal, lovely to hear from you and glad he's doing well, I love seeing ur Fb pic's of him! Hope ur well??
Kell and Babymad, enjoy ur scans, will be stalking later.....
Chocolate, glad u feel a bit better! FX it continues.
Waiting on dr to call, just feel so achy and can't bare the thought of a 12hr nightshift at the momement, esp without a decent support. Going to ask if I can be signed off till I see the physio for a belt. The stitch pain is awful at times and my back feels so tight, other twin mums I speak to haven't passed 20-24wks in my job, so I feel ok to get to the same point as them.

petal where did you get the snuggle wrap from? i swaddle dd in a normal blanket but she always finds her way out somehow lol she is a bit up and down at night, some nights she's really good and only wakes for 2 feeds and other nights she's up cluster feeding lol and at the moment she seems to like to sleep half the night in her moses basket and then from about 4ish she will only settle next to me in the big bed. i'm sure we will get into a routine soon enough, at the moment i'm trying to simply enjoy every minute of the havoc because i know too well from the boys that they soon grow up and these moments are incredibly precious (although somewhat tiring :p ) I cant believe your ds is 2 months old :p how time flies! has he started to giggle yet? :)

i watched it the other nite and thought it was good! somewhere at the beginning there was a young mum of 27 who had 6 children and was pregnant with her 7th! she was quite inspirational as she home schooled them too, had been Bf for 10years and gave birth to them all at home without pain reilf. Anyhow i googled her anyways and shes had her 7th baby and it was a girl so now she has 6 daughters and 1 son! she was hoping for another boy but got a girl.

Pinga, I got married to my DH when I was 7 months preggers with DS1! My mum didn't tell her side of the family that I was pregnant so there were some soft but audible gasps as I walked down the aisle!
Good luck on scan today, ladies, can't wait to hear the scan update!

I don't come on for a few days and miss so much!
I'm so jealous of your bumps past and present! Seeing all your pictures has made me so flippin broody! Kell I too hate that inbetween fat or pregnant stage I didn't have it with ds1 but did with ds2 and wanted to get a little badge 'i'm not fat i'm pregnant'. Then my bump just seemed to appear overnight and I became massive!
Charlie your bump with DS3 was so neat and compact and your the picture after your homebirth is just lovely!
Inglewood I too can't believe there are two in there!
I watched that 'how to be a good mother' this morning as i'd recorded it and have to say really didn't like the lady leading the documentary people that have to swear allot to be funny just make me cringe. Although I did find it really interesting. Have seen bits on EC before but couldn't spend that much time watching my kids. But the eating the placenta thing really weirded me out but also found it strangely curious. If I wasn't a Vegetarian think someone could probably talk me into it lol. I'm a bit of a hippy mum with co sleeping, BF, baby lead weaning, slings etc. Really want to use real nappies this time around. I have used most brands and we now use eco ones from waitrose but they are pretty rubbish and leak to be honest. The best value for money are supermarket own brands by far.
A friend of facebook is pregnant with oops baby number 3 and I looked at her 12 week scan and the nub looked really girly, which I went on to tell her which she was really pleased about (she has two girls adready so wasn't sure if she maybe hoped for a boy secretly). She went on to buy lots of girl stuff for the nursery and the baby (really hope this wasn't based on my nub guess)
Anway she had her 20 week scan and it turned out to be a boy and she is truely gutted. It really shocked me as I thought most mum's wanted to parent both genders even if they had a preference over one gender. But saying that If I had two girls I probably wouldn't sway for a boy but would love to have one all the same. What are your ladies thoughts?

I think if i had all girls to begin with, that I'd want to keep having girls because that WAS my childhood fantasy. But, that if i had two girls and had an opps boy, I'd probably be disappointed during pregancy but once I met him, I'd be over the moon happy with having a different gender then...hopefully, once she meets him, she will be amazed by her blue little bundle!
I also hate the stage where you don't look entirely pregannt, just fat, i had that with ds2 and so many customers kept looking at me ...trying to guess, and i just wanted to announce "look im pregnant ok?" LOL

Hi Girls......
Thanks for all the well wishes, our scan went really well, everything is good with bubs and it was great to see him/her on the screen kicking away - especially as I haven't had loads of kicks yet, it was defo giving it some with its legs :)
I am sure I saw a willy when she did the bum shot and exactly the same happened with DS3 and he turned out to be a boy so very confident its a 'he' but we didn't ask the gender. I wasn't ready to hear the words boy to be honest and I can't spend 20 weeks feeling sad especially when I don't have great pregnancies anyway so the not knowing 100% will hopefully get me through til the end. Just got to think of boys names now as we are really struggling!! any inspiration much appreciated :)
DH and I went for a drink in john Lewis afterwards and I walked round the baby bit whilst DH looked at trainers, why I did it to myself I will never know as all I could look at was the pretty girl things.....I felt so so sad :(
Anyway here's a pic of bubs.....

Charlie I am also one of 3 girls on my Dad's side (don't see my other syblings on my mum's side) I remember praying, hoping and wishing (I am in no way religious) the night before my 20 week scan that I would have a little girl growing in there. And then when I found out it was DS1 I also thought heyho he can be a big brother for his little sister that WILL come next. When pregnant with ds2 I almost convinced myself that I would just HAVE to be having a girl as it was only fair! Obviously fairness didn't come into it! lol I really think I would be a good mother to a little girl, I always thought i'd have a daughter, please, please, PLEASE let it be our turn soon!

What a gorgeous little baby your growing. Is the 'what if boy?' less upsetting than knowing for sure. I think all you ladies are amazing staying team green. It's one thing I could never do but I found the 20 weeks knowing DS2 was a boy really helped me because I was so bummed to find out her was a boy and very vocal about it to my friends who all found it hilarious. But like I said by the time he arrived I was really happy and had a name all sorted his room ready etc and was at peace with it and at that time I was really only ever going to have two so he was going to be my last.

Lavender, i had pretty much the same experince with ds2 when i thought he was my last baby. Found out at 20 weeks, felt bummed (though only told one friend which i now regret) but felt at peace very quickly and in love as soon as he was born. Not sure i will find out next time around.

Awww Babymad your scan pic is awesome!! Still have everything crossed for a girl!
Our scan was brilliant! Baby is so active! I'm measuring 12+5 so due date of 22nd of July! I had a big grin on my face the whole way through! Baby was upside down at first which made it difficult to get all measurements but was funny to see! The sonography lady sent us for a sugary drink and then we went back in so I had two scans!! :)
Baby played ball the second time! Got everything needed! S/he had the hiccups after my montain dew lol! And kept hiding behind their hands which was sooooo cute! I was in absolute awe the whole time!
I asked for a nub shot and the woman was useless and didn't know what I was on about, she showed us a potty shot but we couldn't see much so no guesses for you guys I'm afraid :( the pictures I have are nice but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get them on here today. I shall try!
Im really thinking about a sexing scan, would only need to wait 3 weeks, I may have to speak to dp tonight!
I noticed a couple of you had scans in Milton Keynes, that's where I would probably go, how did you find the scans?

I still find it weird that sonographers havent heard of the whole 'nub' thing! i mean they do this everyday, you would think they would have heard something about it!! So glad scan went well and that the little baby co-operated in the end. Very cute with the hiccups!

Stony Stratford have a baby bond that is where I went with this 1, before that there is a lovely private one just past northampton - kettering way she is lovely and WAS a lot cheaper but has hacked up her prices. Hi All
I'm loving the bump pics - you all look so amazing! I got DS1 to take one of me today but I don't have time to upload it now. I'm such a heffer compared to you babymad!
Babymad - I'm happy everything went well at your scan :D The 'thing' between the legs could have been anything, it's so hard to tell what's what I find - so you're still none the wiser really, how exciting!
Kell - I'm glad everything was well at your scan too!
Sunset - I'm glad Serena is feeding and growing well, she's so diddy and cute! How are you? I hope talking over your experience helps and I'm glad you're doing it. I didn't do anything about how I was feeling after my traumatic experience with DS2 and although I got myself out of it in the end, I was a mess inside for the first 6 months or more of his life. Have you ever used a miracle blanket? Mothercare used to sell them if you Google it - they're basically difficult to get out of swaddle blankets!

FX Charlie i went back in the U/S forum and looked at your bub's skull again and I think I decided that your bub looks very girly!
Babymad, I'm glad your scan went well, so cool to stay team green! I wouldn't get too worked up over the bits, though I think it's important for us all to have the 'what if' conversation with ourselves regarding more boys. You know you will love the baby to bits, and that's all that matters!

I'm the opposite! I've always wanted to raise both genders so if i would have had 2 girls i'm pretty sure i would have had a strong desire to have a boy next. In fact I always wanted my first to be a boy :)

Hi ladies lovely bumps! Might post mine too. Saw midwife today and all is going well. She has three boys and was just lovely. Made me feel great!
Indigo fx all is ok
Glad your scans went well today.
I took ds1 to see the Olympic trails at the o2 on Wednesday we loved it! He is lovely company. I feel so sad that he will be a stroopy teenager one day.
If I had two girls I would want a boy. I am one of two girls. My mum had two boys that died and she always talked about how much she wanted a son. I think that where my desire for a mixed gender family comes from as it was very much part of my childhood. Luckily my sons will not have experience as I would never talk about it in front of them.
Charlie love your post birth pic. Midwife was telling me today what to do if baby pops out unexpectedly at home. Omg!! My first reaction would be where is the most hygienic place which would be my tiny kitchen with a mound of washing up all around me. I would die of shame

Hey, lovely scan pics! I think both have girly skulls
I always wanted 2boys and 1 girl in that order, but now would feel spoilt having 2 boys and 2 girls! However, when I found out DS1 was a boy there was this slight 'if it were a girl I could have breathed a sigh of relief that I had the girl'.......... my friend said to me after her 1st girl 'no Im not bothered about having anymore children, Ive got my girl, not bothered about a boy' ......... to which I was slightly offended thinking she obviously doesnt think much of my boy then, but kinda saw where she was coming from, but saying those things to boy mums is a bit selfish if you dont know how they feel about gender.
I have to say, I sometimes say to OH 'you dont understand, you cant dictate when we stop having children as you've got your boy, you'll never understand' and 'what a load of rubbish you saying you would like to have a girl, its not the same feeling as me, if you didnt have a boy you would understand' ......... bit of a pointless argument to have really as a no win situation so dont really talk about it too much.
Has anyone asked about the placenta position. Wonder if you can guess which side bubs was at my scan as I keep seeing it in different ways.
So on the scan machine, from the machines perspective (not me looking at it as this is what changes the left/right position) The baby was positioned more over to the screen's left hand side. Or from me facing it, to the right side of the screen. So is this left or right, and then we reverse the answer dont we as the pics are mirrored. So from the screen, standing behind the screen, it was on the left, but me facing the screen, it was to the right, and if I had a picture printed I guess it would have been positioned to the right???? Confused . com lol

babymad, when is ur actual due date? Do ur babies come early/late?
Babymad, one of my twins likes to keep the cord between their legs at most of my scans!! so you never know, it might not of been a wee 'tinkle' (as my ds2 calls it) at all???? Love ur cute bump pic, how neat and lovely it is at 20wks......oh how I wish!

So I think its reversed, but what I saw could be either way depending on how I say it was from what angle.
So looking at the screen with me standing in front of the screen it was far right - so reflected = left
But if I were to say: standing behind the scanner machine it was on far left, so reflected meaning far right.
Just not sure as no picture so have to say looking at the screen, or standing behind the screen so on the screen's left or right. Any one see what Im saying lol

Ohhh and great scan pictures!
Kell - I considered getting a gender scan but then time has been going so quickly it hasn't seemed worth it. We've only got another 3 weeks til my 20 week scan so I'm happy to wait. I'm convinced we know anyway.
Babymad - I think it was you who mentioned thinking about babynames! I'm struggling with another boys name!!! I did find it made me feel less down about the thought of another boy though :D Girls clothing sections get me really down at times too.
I've always wanted girls more than anything. I'm from a BGBG family so I think I wanted boys and girls. DH really wants girls. I think he hoped DS1 was a girl. Ah well...
Ahhh - DH and I had a stupid idea - we decided to do chilli in wraps tonight.... lets just say there was sour cream and chilli everywhere!!!! :P

petal where did you get the snuggle wrap from? i swaddle dd in a normal blanket but she always finds her way out somehow lol she is a bit up and down at night, some nights she's really good and only wakes for 2 feeds and other nights she's up cluster feeding lol and at the moment she seems to like to sleep half the night in her moses basket and then from about 4ish she will only settle next to me in the big bed. i'm sure we will get into a routine soon enough, at the moment i'm trying to simply enjoy every minute of the havoc because i know too well from the boys that they soon grow up and these moments are incredibly precious (although somewhat tiring :p ) I cant believe your ds is 2 months old :p how time flies! has he started to giggle yet? :)
I got the swaddle wrap from ebay, heres the link.....

lavender, do you think the next baby will be your last? dh thought ds2 was our last but came round to 3 and then last night i again mentioned that i quite fancy 4 and he didnt put his foot down so he's definately coming round!
I was actually thinking about this the other day Deaks, only because DS1 went to stay with my PIL's for the night whilst DP, DS2 and I went to Ikea in the evening to get some storage (still on my spring cleaning kick:D). They both really missed each other and were asking after one another. It is so lovely how close they are and I am so glad that I had two boys with a small age gap as they are great friends as much as they squabble and drive me crazy at times. So this then got me thinking If DC3 is a girl would I then want to try for a sister for her so she could have the same sibling bond as my boys have? Or if it's a boy will I still have that longing for a DD and have one last try? So for now I really don't think I will stop at three, but It does depend on DP and practicalities, like we'd need to move sooner and I will need to get a full time job at somepoint.

Sunset and Petal glad your, DD and DS's are doing so well and feeding and sleeping well too. Must be lovely having a newborn again.
Homebirthingprincess and Pinga knowing that you both got married whilst pregnant has got me thinking. I have always said that I wanted to be married by the time I was 25 which as of the start of this month I now am. We've been engaged for about 6 years now. Also I really want to have the same Last name as the boys before DS1 starts school. So think I may try and plan a super low key wedding for this summer. We've talked about doing it abroad in the past. I'm really not fussed about the big day still would love a pretty dress though. DP's idea of hell is being centre of attention for a whole day so he'd prefer to have a small do too. Only problem is all the family feeling left out if we do just sneak off and get married.... but i'll just have cross that bridge if and when I come to it.

Has/does anyone get/had mid-cycle/ovulation bleeding spotting?
I've had a few stomach cramps today and I thought it was just down to changing my magnesium supliments.
Just been to the toilet and when I wiped there was red blood like period blood. I think I had what must have been ovulation spotting in my November cycle but that was just a teeny tiny bit of pink spotting. Never had full on blood mid-cycle before? It's slightly worrying me, especially after my odd AF and dull cramps in my left side which were there even a few days after AF had finished.

Evening ladies!
Babymad and Kell ~ happy to hear you scans went well! very cute little bubbas!! Babymad, it could easily have been the cord you saw. I always thought i saw something at my scans, but as fa as I can tell she hasn't got any extra bits :p
Petal ~ Thanks for the link :) The breastfeeding is going really well! she only lost 5 grams of her birth weight and she has now passed her birth weight and weighs 6lbs 6oz. She is a little feeding monster :p she doesn't sleep until 4am, she will be up and down breastfeeding through the night but she usually lets me put her back in her moses basket until about 4ish when she wants to sleep in our bed. how much does your ds weigh now? how big was he at birth? :)
AFM.. crazy but I had my practical driving test today. Because I was in hospital and everything has been so busy hectic these last few days we missed the cut off date to rearrange my practical and despite arguing with them for days they point blank refused to let me rearrange my test date so I decided to just go for it today so i wouldn't have thrown the £75 down the drain. I thought I would do really badly since I haven't driven a car for 3-4 weeks and I had to drive a completely new car for my test, but I did quite well and very nearly passed my test apart from one simple silly mistake! I'm still beating myself up about it! I so very nearly came home with a driving license!! but at least now i know what to expect and i've done it once before so i won't be so nervous next time. I'm gonna try again in about 2 weeks so fx i pass next time!

hey ladies, hope you all doing well :HH:
I am getting worried as I'm not half as sick as I was a few days ago, gradually feeling better and better (just like I did around this time with my m/c at 11+5) so getting paranoid. When does a doppler start to work? would it be worth me getting one this early?
Got lots of planning to do for my day teaching tomorrow so will catch up properly tomorrow! xxx
Just trying to catch up hun and saw your post, I specifically remember going to the drop in midwife where I work at 10 wks complaining that I didn't feel as sick and felt worried that it meant something, but she reassured me and she is here today, try not to worry hun, easier said than done I know!!
Re the doppler I think the more babies you have the earlier you can detect, I think it is probably possible but would you worry more if you couldn't find it but that would just be because its too early !!
Hope you feel less worried soon, sending huge hugs xxx

Aaaaah I'm driving myself bonkers googling mid-cycle bleeding.
I went to see the Doctor on the 3rd when I had nausea etc.pink spotting followed by really light AF and strong and dull cramps on my left side she wasn't much help but said if I had, had a positive pregnancy test she would have said my symptoms indicate an eptopic pregnancy. But as the tests I took were negative not to worry and it was most likely a chemical pregnancy if anything. But told me to come back if I was still worried. So will go and see her about the bleeding tomorrow as it's still there when I wipe and there was some in my knickers this a.m.
Should I be honest about all the supliments I'm taking and the fact I'm on a really restrictive diet? Or just see what she comes out with?

Lavender, how confusing for you! and i can understand you being worried. When did you last take a pg test and have you been taking your temps? i wander if it was a chemical or even eptopic or whether it is some kind of ov bleeding or perhaps your supps. hmmm hopefully the docs can shed some light. Did you miss your attempt this cycle as planned? you are so strong! Thinking of you.
Indigo, how are you hun? know you said a few days ago that you were worried. How are you feeling now?
Sunset, annoying about the driving test, but i expect you'll do brilliantly next time...GL!
Pinkprincess, im on cd8 today so hoping to ov a week tomorrow (23rd) or it could be a few days after that. Are you missing out this month or did you just type feb by accident? I think this is my last month doing o+12 but im not sure what i will do after that as i feel the diet is slipping so to bd over ov without the diet is quite scary. perhaps acigel and sudafed will be the way forward!!! What do you girls think? Sunset...you're good at this stuff!?

Hi ladies, congrats to all those that are pg or have had their little ones, im ttc number 4 (after 3 boys)
DEAKS - last time i looked when ur af arrived mine was either on the same day or close, are you on cd 7? are you fully on the diet etc? im trying to stick to as much i can, taking all the vitamins +completely cut caffeine out! im a little unsure what dh is supposed to be doing - hes trying to cut down on caffeine + no orange juice etc. do you know what vitamins he should take if any?
im due to ov on feb 22- hoping quite late on the 22nd as 23rd is new moon!
Keep me up to date with how this month goes + maybe we can symptom spot together in the 2ww! :) x
Pinkprincess, sorry should have said WELCOME before! My dh has never done the diet but did take supps (cran, cal and LR) in 2011 but now he is just taking LR. Tested his ph last night and still 7.4 so pleased about that.

nini...where are you? missing you hun!
deaks, thank you for caring :) I first strained my back so badly that I had to take medication that knocked me out all of Friday (dh had to stay at home from work to mind the kids and household), then ds2 and dd caught a tummy bug in their little nursery that they started going to (they only went for a couple of days before they caught the bug sigh), they are on the mend now, but gosh, all the laundry and night wakings. Then we wake up this morning to a freezing house... turns out our heating is broken, luckily they can fix it tomorrow around 11ish... will have to boil water in a kettle tonight and somehow try and wash my hair. Guess they managed for generations without even a kettle.
I am also so freaked out with the diet. I read so many contradicting things that I dont know what is right anymore. Guess it matters little as long as you follow the general idea (high Cal and Mag, low salt and calories). So I tried to stay off here for a bit.
How are you, what cycle day are you on? I am happy to say that my PH has come down to 4.8. Thats a start. I dont remember what cycle day i am on, I think something like 10. I dont even start temping until around 12 as I o sooo late.
Are you back on the diet now?
Hope everyone else is well, the thread is moving so fast. Its really sunny here, hope you all get to soak some sun in today too wherever you are xx

Lavender - are you taking any blood thinners? Cranberry, low dosage aspirin or (to a lesser extent) Saw Palmetto? Have you started a new thread about this, I'm sure somebody will have some ideas!

Zanacal I'm not taking asprin but I'm taking cranberry sups but this month have only taken it for about a week as didn't take it durring the 2ww in December and held off a bit with my funny AF incase it turned out to be heavy implantation bleeding. I've now stopped taking it as in the 2WW even though I didn't attempt this month we have DD unprotected for a few times using the withdrawel method which has been fail safe for us in the past. I also used some rephresh just before so sure if any rouges did get through they wouldn't survive. But there's always a very small chance obviously.
I will Def start a new thread though.
Deaks. I haven't got a scooby what's going on..... it could be so many things taken about 10 cheapie ebay HPT between 10dpo last cycle and yesterday all BFN. But I don't feel right in myself so going to ask for blood test tomorrow to completely rule out pregnancy and may shed light if say I have a hormone imbalance or something from swaying?? I thought I may have an ovarian cyst at one point because I was having the pain in my side. Hopefully the Doc can shed some light tomorrow. This is also the first month that I haven't been using OPK's so no clue when I ovulated but had some EWCM about 3 or 4 days before the bleeding and through googling ovulation bleeding happens before ovulation not after due to a drop in estrogen levels but only 30% people get it.
Anyway going to stop wittering on and start a new thread.

Oh nini, what a nightmare for you...just too many things going wrong at once! Glad you are having some sunshine where you are but im right in remembering you are in europe right, so im hoping nowhere to chilly!! It is freezing in the uk today so no heating would be awful...happened to us last year and we had to camp out in the lounge with our log fire blazing...still brrrr!
I think youre right about the diet, just stick to the main principles which seem to tally with most of the diet variations. Think i might be doing rubbish with the calories side of things as although my main meals are definately off the diet, i have been eating lots of cake and biscuits since christmas! oh well!
Im cd 8 so similar to you. Cant wait to get this months attempt/s done but relaxing with the whole thinking/planning for it!
Glad you will get your heating fixed tomorrow then fx this is a better wk for you :) X

Oh hun, you can witter away as much as you like to us...god i do it all the time! Glad you are going to get blood tests done...you will get to the bottom of it and hopefully its something and nothing related to ovulation...certainly ties in with your ewcm! Will you mention the diet to the doc? X

Can I ask where you ladies are getting your liquorice root from? The only place I can find it at is Holland & Barrett.

Hi ladies!
Been away this weekend so havn't been on, you have been busy! LOVING the bump pics, you all look amazing!
Thanks for the reasurrance about the sickness, and all your lovely responses. I'm sure you are all right and it will be fine. I did feel a bit worse at work on Friday and this evening not good either- the happiest I've been feeling ill! funny how I was just desperate for it to go away and now I'm loving every minute of feeling awful! Thinking of going to get a private 10week scan just to make myself relax a bit. Have my 12 week one booked but it is 2 weeks tomorrow, such a long time away!
I have loved catching up with all your posts this evening :HH: have missed you all!

Hi everyone, hope your all ok, hope your heating is fixed nini but glad your not in the UK, its freezing here!
Lavenderlime, I wouldnt mention supps etc. just yet, she may then just say 'ahh that'll be it' and fob you off, see what she recommends first, maybe a scan or something. I agree with Zanacal about starting a thread, atomic may help there.
GeCon, I think when I got mine they were from Holland and Barrett too, prob. find them online somewhere I guess

I am near Munich and it gets way colder here than in most places of the UK, although this winter is mild. Nevertheless, it is freezing here now and I am waiting for the plumber to get here and hope he can fix it really quickly.... having no heating means also having no warm water... how did people cope in the past, seems impossible... the water is now freezing, I am contemplating using my Evian to brush my teeth, LOL. Its still really sunny though, beautiful out there, only I havent had a shower for the 2nd day in a row now and wont leave the house until I have had one :)
Deaks I have everything crossed for you, you usually o around CD15 dont you? I am not attempting this month as havent been on diet long enough... will most likely have my attempt around 29February. Luckily my ph has gone down to 4.9 when I last measured it. I have to calibrate my Hanna, have never done it before and I am not sure if it actually gives reliable readings at the moment...

Morning went to see the dr.this a.m didn't mention diet or sups and none the wiser but she said she'd ruled out it being anything sinister and to carry on TTC. She said if it was etopic I would be in pain. I started another thread and atomic thinks it's down to the cranberry sups. Only time will tell really. Anyway that's enough of that! how are you all?
Nini good news about the plummer!
Deaks good luck this month are you just having a one shot O+12 or another attempt on top of that?
Kell how exciting about the puppies! Also did you ever here back from YSL about your eyes?
