Hi again Atomic,

So I have 30 Femara tablets on their way to me!! Hopefully arriving by day 3/4 of my cycle. I usually have short cycles and ovulate day 12/13, so should I start 2.5mg Femara on day 3, once a day? Until when?

I shall start E4D at the end of my period again and continue until after I know I have ovulated.

Please please please let this be our month!!

Xx

A lady I know who doesn’t need it anymore. Hopefully it’ll work quickly for us, and I can then pass along any leftovers xx

Extra questions for when Atomic sees this post...

2.5mg Femara, day 3-7?
Can I take antibiotics at the same time as Femara? - I have an ear infection :(
Shall I continue E4D or shall I just do one attempt at positive OPK when on Femara?

Thanks! :) xx

Yes that's right on the dose.

Yes it's ok to take antibiotics.

Yes if you've been doing e4d please continue, starting after last dose of femara and carrying on even after you think you've ovulated.

If you're ready to start boosting chances of conceiving, then add in one more attempt at positive OPK in addition to the e4d. If you prefer to start off with better chance of pink, keep going with e4d.

Thanks Atomic. Have just taken my first Femara tablet! (Going to bed now)

Fingers crossed for us!

Shall we BD on the night of my last tablet and then E4D from then? Or the day after? (We do the Monday, Thursday pattern - 72 hours)

I took a FRER the day before my period arrived, 12dpo which was negative. And my period came on time as always. I was planning on taking another test tonight before my Femara tablet just to be 1000000% sure I’m not pregnant, but I didn’t realise I’m out of tests. I think with the negative FRER 12dpo and period bang on time, it’s extremely unlikely.. but I should take one tomorrow when I can get to the shops to be safe shouldn’t I?

Thanks again for all your help. Will keep you updated with any news :)

Well, I do like you guys to take the test the day you start the femara. I would have you take another test ASAP just in case. We don't want to take any chances.

Yes the night of last dose or the day after, then e4d in 72 hour pattern.

Atomic, what would happen if I stopped taking the Femara after only two doses? I’m experiencing some side effects and I’m not sure if I can continue. It’s 1.15am and I took the tablet before bed. I feel so sick, have had a headache all day and now my anxiety has gone through the roof :( - it’s the anxiety I can’t cope with rather than the physical symptoms.

Any ideas what would happen to this months attempt if I stopped taking them after just two of the five doses?

Thank you xx

Nothing. Go ahead and stop it. It will still sway pink to some extent.

Hi again, I’m going to take one just as I’m going to sleep tonight and see how I get on. I didn’t have much of a headache today and once I was asleep last night I was ok. Because I probably need the Femara to conceive, I will carry on. Otherwise I may have stopped if it was just a sway tactic. Need all the help I can get! Thanks again for your response. Xx

Ah yes gotcha. If you can stand it, that's great. But if not it can still help you ovulate even if youc an't make it thru all 5 days.
