Hi. Does anyone know if this test/site is reliable to determine gender from 9 weeks? It says its 99% accurate so I was wondering if anyone knew of this test? This is a New Zealand site but it looks like you can get the test done in most countries. Thanks heaps

Hi, I'd never heard of it but looks interesting especially as they also do other types of DNA testing. Will be interesting to see what ppl say.

Yes it looks interesting. Its a lot of money but dh said we should do it as he wants to know as early as possible. Someone on In-gender did the test and she was very confident in it. Someone else said it was a scam but I think she may have been confusing it with another type of test?

I tried the Intelegender at home test and it was right for my DD, if it had been proven wrong i wouldn't have minded too much because it was a cheap bit of fun. You should just check if the company has a refund policy if their testing proves to be wrong in the end.

I have been wondering about this test too. I think I saw there is a refund policy and something like a 95% accuracy rating. I saw a CNN piece on it a while ago but one thing that worries me about it is it says something about previous boy pregnancies messing with the results.

Oh I didn't know this about previous boy pregnancies. I might email them to see what they say about this.

I did a similar blood test when I was pg with DD. It was manufactured by Acu-Gen, and required me to prick my finger & put a few drops of blood on their test slip, which I then submitted to their lab for testing. They told me I was having a boy. Lo & behold, surprise surprise at our u/s - she's all girl. The science is there, but it's not perfect, and there is a very real possibility of your body having male fetal DNA in it. This can be from previous boy pregnancies (even if you had an early m/c, possibly without ever knowing you were pg). It can also be from when your mother was pg with you - if you had a vanishing boy twin, your body can potentially have fetal DNA from him. I'd really discourage anyone from doing these tests. It's just not worth the heartache.

In our case, I wound up paying for 2 additional u/s, because I couldn't believe the blood test had been wrong. The company gave me double my money back, but others weren't so lucky. It's definitely your decision, but I'd be skeptical of any results until you have an u/s to confirm.

I have heard the blood test is quite inaccurate but this one is a urine based test . There isn't a lot of feedback about the easy-dna urine test but was hoping it may have been a way to determine early gender. I guess not even ultrasounds are 100% so you never really know until you hold the baby in your arms.

I did the best baby gender test which claims high accuracy too. It predicted a girl for my last one but he is all boy!

I can see myself paying for something like this!
I can be such a sucker :(

And I know that I will be absolutely dying to find out the gender as soon as possible.

Though it would probably be wiser to pay for an ultrasound early. At how many weeks the accuracy is of an ultrasound is fairly high? 14 weeks?
Presumably a 3d scan would be more reliable?

My name is Andrew Alexander and I am the Director and CEO of easyDNA Limited. My company offers a urine based DNA test for Baby Gender Prediction with 99% accuracy. As Director of this company I publicly state that till today being 27th July 2012, my company has NEVER issued an incorrect result. Not one client has ever come back to us stating the result was incorrect.

We offer a complete refund if shown to be incorrect and to date we have NEVER issued a refund on this test.

Our baby gender DNA test and has been scientifically validated. The laboratory is the only lab in the world accredited with all three international accreditations being NATA, ISO17025 and AABB.

Several of our clients have expressed concern that other company's predicted that they were having a girl, when we predicted boy. This occurred because the other companies that our clients tested with were not as technically advanced and missed the male chromosome.

Many months have passed and not one client ever came back with the proof our prediction was not correct.

Thus I reiterate the point that to date we have never issued an incorrect result and if anyone would like to question that further then please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

So where do we purchase this urine based dna test? If one of us reported an incorrect result, it sounds like you would reimburse us financially since you claim to date there are no incorrect results.

So are you going to provide refunds to the ladies who provide proof your test didn't work & was incorrect?

I think it would have been far more appropriate of Easy DNA to contact the owner of this site and ask to rent ad space, rather than posting on the forum. There are far too many companies claiming to have a reliable test for gender; they merely prey on people desperate to learn their baby's gender. I am not saying that Easy DNA is one of those companies. I will say that they should (a) go through proper channels to advertise their products and, (b) offer a money back guarantee.

That is correct we have a policy in place that will give a FULL refund if a result is shown to be incorrect. To date we have never issued a refund. For more information you can google the company easyDNA.

I am not here to promote the test as such just clarify that our test is accurate. There are a lot of inferior tests that cause disappointment to people which is regrettable.

My advice and regardless of what company you choose make sure the company or lab is accredited by an internationally recognised accreditation board. Secondly prediction tests generally bought in Chemists are very inaccurate you should look for a DNA based test with a minimum of 95% accuracy if not higher. Make sure there is a 100% refund in place should the results not be correct.

Or just get a cvs if your desperate. No refuting those. But then that carrys a risk to your baby, but no wondering about scans etc. CVS is a proven worldwide DNA test.

"Many months have passed" sorry but months of no one asking for a refund yet isn't very good evidence of "99%" accuracy rate. Call me a skeptic but I would save your $ ladies for an early us. Some of these fly by night companies may not even be around long enough to give a refund. Just my 2 cents.

So apparently that intelligender test is just a glorified Urine pH testing kit.
If the test goes Green (alkaline) would be boy
and yellow/orange (acidic) would be girl.

Ladies, I have taken easyDNA's know the gender test and found it to bee 100% accurate. I took the test at 11 weeks and have just had my 20 week scan, confirming the result I got from the gender test. I found the test simple to do once i had the instructions a few times, and easyDNA a very professional and efficient company to deal with. This is my personal experience with the company, so for any of you out there still thinking about it, take these comments on board. p.s I am having a boy, and my first was a girl :-)

Well, it's either 100% correct or 0% correct. Since there are only two genders on this world there isn't such a thing as: mine was 85% correct. I don't say i don't trust the test but it easy to mislead people when it comes to this.
With only one post on here i cannot say i can trust you either. I know there are people hired to go and look for forums on the internet to make a positive comment.

Wimbledon mummy is it a poas test or a blood test and if it is a blood test what kind of test is it. Until know there was no home test that is 100 percent accurate. Only in the hospitals they have that kind of tests and they use it in very few cases.....sorry but I don't believe in those home tests I have read too much about it to believe it. BTW why are you on this board just to advertise? You have already a girl and a boy and this is you first post ;)
