High TSH found during 2WW

Last week we did the first cycle attempt for boy. At some instinct I checked my TSH levels and found to be very high.. It's above 6. Any hope for this attempt to be successful ? Can this affect my sway ? .. Am worried because during my DD2 , we found the same TSH levels to be higher.. Only above 3 then..

Tonight hopefully I'll consult my doctor and start thyronorm tomorrow

It has nothing to do with your sway, it is that having thyroid problems may make for losses in pregnancy (not to mention it is harmful for your health as well!!) so it's great that you got that checked and will be treated.

Ha, I've seen so many swear higher TSH yielded more boys that I grappled with that issue, since my TSH is always kept low medically... so I wouldn't worry sway wise.

But definitely as atomic said, TSH is a big part of determining thyroid function, and 6 isn't good. If you get on top of thyroid meds and dosing, it can be brought down relatively quickly. It takes quite extreme, prolonged abnormal levels to affect actually conceiving, but unfortunately can contribute much more to miscarriage from even just slightly off levels. Hoping it gets resolved and you end up pregnant with a sticky boy!
