I am wondering who has used letrozole? We have been trying for 15 months with a miscarriage 8 months ago. The doctor doesn't know why we haven't been able to conceive again.
They have prescribed letrozole 2.5mg and I'm just wondering if anyone has gotten pregnant using this and has anyone ended up with twins/multiples?
I'm also curious what days you took the pills 3-7? Or 5-9

I used it! I had gone up to 5mg but was on 2.5 when I conceived. I took it 3-7, one attempt, after about 10 days of abstinence.

I had taken it many months doing frequent release with no luck. Switched to abstinence and got pregnant the first attempt.

I'm going to start doing opk's and temping again to help it along I think.

Just one! I do think it made me ovulate at different times, sometimes earlier and sometimes later (I was using opks, temping and was monitored so I know that it caused o day to fluctuate... it seemed like left versus right as well as number of follies sometimes affected this) hopefully tempting at opks will help you in case it’s changing your o day too!! Good luck!

He never suggested monitoring at all and from what I've read lots of doctors do monitor.... I

A good doctor makes all the difference! I probably never “needed” to be monitored in that I never had more than 2 follies, but ya never know. Plus, at one point I had a cyst and it was good that we took the following cycle off so it could resolve. I think being monitored during any sort of fertility treatment is the way to go :) good luck!

If you have gone on many months with BFN on one attempt please go to e4d.

NO ONE should do one attempt without doing OPK. If you don 't want to do OPK then please do e4d

Femara may increase odds of multiples and I do know a couple twins conceived on it. I think we see better odds of conception on CD 3-7

:agree: I'd only recommend abstain the first month of trying on Femara. Other than that have hubby do regular release every 2-4 days.

I'm temping and doing opk's but will probably try every 2 days this month.
I guess time will tell.....

Oh ok gotcha.

I would rather see you do every 4 days plus one more attempt at positive OPK. Every 2 or every other day is not really a great way to get pregnant, since you can inadvertently end up having attempts at O-4 and O-2 (which is still one attempt since the odds of conception from O-4 is slim) and O Day, which may be too late. or O-3 and O-1 (which is two attempts, but the O-3 has low chance of conception.) The e4d plus one ensures you're most likely going to be in with 2 attempts in the fertile window, and 2 out of 3 times you'll end up with O-1/2 plus the pos OPK attempt all of which are good chances of conception.

You are so knowledgable but I just don't fully understand it all. The more I read about it the more I get stressed out so I decided to let go and just see what happens.
We will try every 4 days and once more at possitive then. Thanks!

Long story short, BD every other day is contrary to popular belief NOT that good for conception. :)

So this month was a bust again. I'm thinking of switching to days 2-6 because I ovulated 4 days later than normal.
The hubs and I have decided this is officially our last month of trying so if anyone has any amazing advice please share now lol

Well, there is no normal when taking fertility medication. YOu can't expect to ovulate on the same days taking the medication as you do otherwise. It's fine if you want to take the medication different days, but there is no guarantee that you will ovulate on your normal day even doing that.

Please do SMEP this month. Sperm Meets Egg Plan (http://www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm)
