I致e recently got a treadmill. I love it. I use it 7 days a week. I知 a jogger so my HR is usually 130-150. However, I知 concerned because its really hard for me to go much over 45 minutes. However, sometimes I do make an hour and occasionally only do 30 minutes. I read a hour is best. Two ladies I know who have daughters talk about taking 5-10 mile runs. I知 not very fast and I go about 4 miles on the treadmill. I just get bored and want to be done. Is ther a calorie total I should look for on my fitbit or should I force that hour?

To my understanding and based off all the things I've read on this site, the 60min is the most important aspect of the exercise for swaying pink, intensity of the exercise and calories burned don't matter and also those "calories burned" things on workout machines are super inaccurate anyway (no clue about the fitbit).

Just a tip, if you can't do 60min because of getting bored, try putting on a video that is an hour long and watch that while you do the exercise, atleast for me it helps distract me from staring at the clock and makes the hour go by a lot faster!

^^What she said. We don't really know why cardio sways pink but we do know the 60 min is working, be it walking, running, dancing, etc. Focusing on calories burned or miles completed is borderline obsessive which is not what we want for pink. Just do the hour and call it good. :)

I used to put on movies while I rode my stationary bike. It really helps pass the time.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. I知 so thankful for Netflix and Hulu. I decided to take this month off because I didn稚 trust ovulating right near all the Christmas treats.

Force the hour. It has nothing to do with your heartrate or calories burned and I don't even want you thinking about those things or monitoring them (and please take the Fitbit and put it into a drawer for the duration of your sway, as that's the type of detail oriented thing that may undermine your pink sway)

We go for an hour because after about 45 min. your body stops burning carbs in your blood****** as fuel and starts burning stores of fat and muscle. Something about that process sways pink in a big way. So we want to capitalize on that time period between 30/45 min and 60 min and if you stop at 30-45 min, you're not getting the benefits we are after.

If you exercise upon waking after a 12 hour fast would that mean you can do 45 min or still do the full hour? Since you probably don't have much carbs in your blood when you wake up, do you?

It's ~probably~ ok to do the 45 minutes in that scenario BUT the thing is, your body naturally releases a burst of sugar to boost blood sugar in the morning. So really it's LIKE you have eaten something. This is so effective some diabetics even have to take insulin to compensate for that natural occurrence. Thus there's still going to be quick burning fuel for your body to use, even if you haven't eaten. Even in the morning, I have much higher confidence in the 60 min if at all possible.

Oooh I totally wish I had known this back in July/August when I was swaying. I think for some reason, I was under the impression that 45mins yields just as good of a result because while I did 5-7 days a week, I did often do 45mins.

So we値l see if in my case it was enough or not :) :(

^^^ oh and for anyone with PCOS or tendencies that way, or more than 30 lbs of weight to lose, I like them to exercise even if they cannot get the 60 min in because for them the benefits to blood sugar and weight loss are so great it counteracts any potential risk of building muscle.

So we have had quite a few people do only like 30-45 min and still get girls that way.
