I don’t think I can find a clear cut answer on this
So I’ll just ask, I know everything is allowed within limits on LE, but I’m wondering does cheese sway more boy? If I’m staying Within my limits for fat and cals with it (some days I’m even under so I figure Maybe its good to make up for that) but I’m still having up to 3 slices of Swiss cheese a day, I’ve just been loving it lately will have some on my lunch and find myself eating it again with my third meal in the evening along with some snacks. I’ve read that too much is not good for ttc girl? I would say that’s about the only dairy I have. No milk either as I guzzle almond milk by the cups every day. Thanks

I’m pretty sure it sways blue if eaten in excess. A little each day in the limits for fat and protein is probably ok. I think it’s probably important to be careful. Most cheese is very high it fat and protein and can use up your limits for those very quickly. I’m just not sure how much is ok because I dont eat dairy so I never had to worry about it with this sway. However, it was a big part of my diet when my boys were conceived. I’m sure Atomic will have a better answer.

Thanks for your reply. So it seems about a slice of my swiss cheese is about 6 g protien 6 grams fat and 60 cals. Honestly most days Im low on my cal intake to begin with as I eat alot of "free" unlimited food like veggies for more than half my two meals, I fill up on that before my other food with my meals. So for 3 slices of cheese I would be averaging 18 g for protien and fat. Which again Im still within my limits because Im not eating much meat at all, if any. Ill have chicken or fish here and there and have a hard time getting my protein up to begin with without those. Fat I tend to add and keep watch of because I like my sweets after a meal. So thats how my diet is looking. Interesting to hear it was a big part of your sway...Kinda nervous I may just have to cut it out or take it easy on it. Ive been like this for few weeks so I hope I didnt ruin it for myself.

Your welcome! I think its also important to keep in mind that most people who conceive girls do eat cheese. I’m sure atomic can better tell you how much is ok.

WEll, being under the limits is not allowed so you need to do what you need to do to fix that problem ASAP.
Cheese doesn't sway. It is the overall food intake of your day that sways, not certain foods. YOu can have cheese as a part of an LE Diet, absolutely. Just add up your nutrient totals and then have however much cheese you can have in the limits.
The French Diet people used to say "don't eat cheese, it has salt" but we have found that "salt" doesn't seem to matter one iota and it is fine to have cheese.

Ok. This is a no go. Please hit your limits FIRST before filling up on the free foods. The minimum limits are most important because they are there for your health and safety and your ability to get and stay pregnant. NO ONE should ever go below the minimums, ever, and if that means you have to cut back on fruit and veg to have enough room to achieve the limits, please do so.

I got my boys eating tons of cheese but I STILL ate cheese when I was swaying pink, and got a girl.
It's not about the presence or absence of cheese, it's about the overall limits of the diet.

Oh very interesting Atomic!, thanks for letting me know that it’s a no go in your books! As far as my limits go, it’s not so much that I’m under the limits, I should say on the lower end of the limits. I do get the minimum 1200 cals, being small framed and petite (again I’m just about 5 ft 113 lb now) I generally don’t feel I need much anyway, but most times I do try to go higher to the “middle” range of the limits and it works out fine, sometimes it’s hard for me to get those cals up without feeling like I overate or binged. But I’ll be sure to start keeping my meals first, free food after. Especially these days since I’ve been on the site for quite a while I’m not really excluding much of any food like I used too. Just keeping it limits. I was happy to hear your thought about the cheese! Cheese is always on and off addicting to me, so yay lol

:agree: the rules are ~slightly~ different for people who are petite like you are, but I still want you guys getting minimum 1200 cals, 40 g protein, 30 g fat minimum and it's ok to have more than that.
Yes I"m really glad you asked - now you have a better strategy moving forward as well! :)
