Did I fry my egg??

So based on my OPKs I either ovulated yesterday or I will be ovulating today...DTD with Sylk last night and my ph was low already, so I was feeling really good about my attempt.... But then I accidentally fell asleep with our heated mattress pad (underneath sheets) on a high setting and woke up in the middle of the night because I apparently had turned over onto my stomach and was too hot. :(. I am really, really worried now that I killed my egg or something. I know this sounds crazy, but I am seriously upset now. Is this possible?? (btw, I didn't burn myself or anything, was just really warm). Is the egg so deep inside this wouldn't effect it? I told my DH about my concerns and he thinks I am nuts. LOL. I swear this TTC stuff makes you crazy.

do you temp? did your BBT rise significantly?

I do temp....my BBT was very slightly higher but that may be because I ovulated. Also, I turned off the mattress pad in the middle of the night (probably four or five hours before I woke up in the morning). I do NOT think my overall body temp was significantly higher in the MOTN when I woke up though.

It is possible, but not likely. You have to have a BBT of above 103 for quite some time to do damage and at this stage of the game you would simply not conceive (not have a baby with birth defects which is the concern with things like hot baths, fevers, and jacuzzis in pregnancy.)

Oh, there is no way my BBT was that high. I wasn't even sweating, just too warm. So it is the overall body temp that matters, not localized heat? Btw, thanks for giving me feedback on my craziness, I appreciate it. :)

I actually did this when i was ttc my 3rd and also, ended up conceiving a girl!! So GL!!! :)

I have seen the heating pad thing but it makes me nervous because the heat right in the abdomen - not sure if I think that's a good idea.
