3200mg saw palmetto????

hi ,im in australia and cant find saw palmetto lower than 3200mg ,ive been taking that for a week with no issues thinking i was taking the right amount and ive relised its only spose to be 320 mg EEEEEK have i ruined my sway or chances of PG with this high dose ?? i am due to O in a week should i stop taking it ????? And is there any Aussie girls that can lead me to some that is a lower dose ?? thanks

Hi - I am in NZ and are taking 'Natures Way' SP standardized. It contains 60 x 160 mg soft gel capsules. It looks like its a US product, but as I can get it here in NZ, surely you could find it online in AU...

Yes, 3200 mg is too much but actually I don't think even men are supposed to take anywhere near that - are you 1000% sure that is the correct dosage? Sometimes the bottle lists something different than the actual ingredients of the pills (as all of us who've tried to take cran for swaying know all too well.) and sometimes they use diff. units of measurement (as in, 3200 mCg micrograms, vs 320 mg milligrams)

4boys, I believe we talked about this already via PM and it turned out that it really was equivalent to 320 mg after all - if you have a sec could you update us on this??

There were only 3 types of Saw Palmetto i could get my hands on, all extremely higher then 3200mg.

Went to a health food store and found this Saw Palmetto (http://www.naturessunshine.com.au/all/products/Saw-Palmetto/) 550, but still higher then 320 - will this be ok?

What's with the huge variance in dosage? Has it got to do with extract vs actual fruit?

I suspect that some are going off of some different calculation or something (extract vs. dry fruit) but since each company formulates their pills differently I can't make a general recommendation about that. I saw a site that said it is concentrated 10:1 which would mean that 3200 = 320...altho I would still feel better if you either called the company to verify that or found one that clearly stated that on the label.

Because of this, I actually think you're better off getting the 3200 and calling the company to verify rather than getting the 550 which is almost certainly more than you want.

I have a similar problem... :worry: I bought online (it´s already here) SP solaray and it´s 550 mg...is it too much? can I "break" pills to have the half one? I don´t want to lose the money and have to buy it again...
