Just wondering if the thought behind no snacks is to keep the calories etc down or if it sways pink to have hours between eating. I know the overnight fast helps, does keeping hours between meals help also? Just curious. I’m in the mindset now of “No, I can’t eat one slice of apple as I’m making my boys’ snacks because it will ruin my no snacking between meals.” Or is the no snacking to limit calories and it’s not a huge deal to eat one slice of apple or one grape in the middle of the afternoon. Thanks!!

From my understanding, the no snacking is to keep your amount of calories down. The overnight fast is super important, I believe intermittent fasting sways girl which is another reason atomic says to skip breakfast if possible (or just have dinner early if skipping breakfast isn't an option). I would say having an apple slice is completely fine!

Is it not about keeping your blood sugar low also, together with less calories

No snacking is about not keeping your blood sugar elevated all the time. Most of us boy moms are all day grazers and as a result blood sugar never has much of a chance of going down for a period of time. We've found that low blood sugar helps sway girl. And no, one apple slice isn't going to undo your sway. We just don't want pink swayers snacking all the time.

It's the blood sugar thing. Not calories. I find most people can stick in the limits just fine with 3 meals a day and actually are more likely to have opposite problem - not able to eat enough cals to keep ovulating.

I would try really hard not to eat the apple on a regular basis though. The thing is, while it's certainly not a sway ruiner in and of itself, if it's got sugar it CAN raise your blood sugar, and if you're like me, it's actually easier to eat nothing than to eat a tiny amount of something - set you up to continue nibbling. So while one apple slice would only momentarily raise blood sugar slightly and then your body would lower it again, it might end up being several apples over the course of an hour and your blood sugar would then be up longer, or you'd get hungry after eating it and end up eating more than you meant to. NOw and then, no biggie, not all the time tho.

I would BY FAR rather see you guys just add in a 3rd (3 meals is totaly acceptible on LE Diet!) or even a 4th than to try to skate thru eating a little here and a little there. What always seems to happen is a little nibbling turns into a 2 hour nibblefest by which time people have eaten 2000 calories of basically nothing and are still starving. Then they say "oh screw it" and then start in eating whatever's in the house. If you're dying of hunger, eat, but try to minimize or avoid mindless nibbling when possible.
