Hey atomic :)

We have a sweet baby boy and we are wanting to start trying for a little girl at the end of the summer! I’ve been on birth control but DH picked up the wrong one at the pharmacy in December and I started my cycle a few days later. I figured I would just stay off of it and start tracking my cycle. Do you think I should get back on it and get off it right before we try to conceive?

For our boy I was swaying boy BIG time! Diet, big cross fitter, etc.

Since having him 10 months ago I really haven’t been working out. How far in advance do you think I should start doing intense cardio and diet? I weigh 128 right now and could def shed a few pounds but I didn’t know how far in advance I should do that!

Thank you for your help :)

It's up to you on the birth control. While I DO think coming off BCP sways pink, and I DON"T think there is any merit to tracking your cycle in advance of swaying whatsoever, I think it's best for you to do the BCP if it makes sense for family planning and not necessarily for the sake of the sway. totally your call to make.

12 weeks before for diet, 6 weeks for exercise, but if you'd like you can do a mild version of diet/exercise sooner. Like, mod exercise and a vegetarian diet, for instance. Lose weight when and how you can - we have not found timing weight loss to really be of benefit and it has a lot of downsides attached to it (like adding stress, delaying ovulation when done right at the last minute) so I find it best to lose what you can, when you can and then hold steady and we've gotten good results with that approach.
