Hi everyone

I’ve just joined as a dream member hoping to get some thoughts on my sway this month, I’m hoping for a baby girl.

I have a wonderful little boy (soon to be 2) and sadly a mc in December (8 weeks). My first period came back after the miscarriage on Wednesday, making me CD5. I generally ovulate in CD14.

I’m read lots online and honestly I’m confused.

What I’ve been doing to date-

I’ve been on a low calories diet since new year, and after reading the diet advice on ingender my husband and I have followed their diet (minus the milk because I think that raises estrogen) for the last week. I’m having 1500 kcal, low salt, low fat, low protein and fasting 8pm-12pm. I’m also exercising, doing cardio everyday.

I’m taking some of the supplements they recommend-

Calcium 1000mg
Magnesium 300 mg
Cranberry 10,000 mg
Vitamin C 500mg
Saw Palmetto 340mg

Folic acid 800mg
Vitamin E 400mg
Vitamin B12 150mg
Zinc 50mg
Aspirin 75mg (I take this anyway)

My husband is taking-
Calcium 100g
Magnesium 300mg
Liquorice root 3x

Now that I’m reading this forum, I’m questioning if what I’m doing is right 😬 and so unsure what’s for the best.

My concerns for this cycle-

I tested my husbands ph last week on litmus paper and it’s 9.5, my ph was 6 (just before period).

For the next three cycles I ovulate either the day before or the day of the full moon, I’ve read that this is a boy sway 😬

I’ve used FF with my previous pregnancies so I can see my temps are currently lower than they were when I conceived my little boy, again I’ve read this is a boy sway.

My plan was to carry on supplements until O, stick to the diet and have sex once, 2 days before O.
I was also considering using rephresh gel to lower my ph.

I wondered if I could have your thoughts on a couple things-

•Do you think it’s an issue that my temps are low this cycle so far?

•Is it an issue that DH ph is 9.5?

•should I worry about the full moon?

•What are your thoughts on the supplements we’re taking? I’ve read that you recommend a hugger dose of folic acid, in the UK were advised to take 400mg, does it sway pink taking more?

•if I have lots of EWCM this cycle should I not ttc and wait? Last cycle after the miscarriage I had so much!

Thank you for your thoughts in advance!

I forgot to say I’m having zero caffeine and alcohol but understand you guys recommend it for a girl. Could you tell me why that is please? Is there evidence to show it helps?

Thanks

Hi and welcome,

Can see why you'd be a confused if you've been reading over on ingender as well. The approaches of the two sites can be quite different and we have a lot of women on here who came from IG after having 'failed' seats or not understanding their sway tactics as there is little/no science behind them. I'd pick one site and stick to it.

Most women here don't follow pH at all and don't follow the mineral based diet or supps. Yes to alcohol and coffee for a girl sway here.

Atomic's complete index below is a good place to start reading and there should be some good explanations for things in there too.
The COMPLETE Index!!! (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/3305-complete-index.html)

Thanks Mia.

I’ve had a good read through the index (very helpful). I’m still stuck on what to do this month however.

I’m wondering if to go for it or not? These are my swaying factors

First full cycle after MC (just had first AF)
My temps are lower than pre O temps with my little boy
Only two weeks on calorie restricted diet/1 week on girl diet & Cardio & supplements
I’m due to O on a full moon!
Dh ph is 9.5

I’m planning to use rephresh, have sex once before O, missionary position, is that enough or are the odds stacked against me?

Thanks so much for anyone’s feedback, so unsure what to do for the best

We tend not to put much stock into pH or moon phases or CM so wouldnt let any of those things dictate what month you attempt. But if you believe in these things youre more that welcome to include them.

Best results are 12+ weeks on LE diet. We do think attempting after MC sways pink so thats in your favour. Were you on diet prior to that? If its genuinely only a few weeks on diet I'd consider giving ir a little more time but depends on your timeline really.

Most pink swayers here go for one attempt at +opk rather than trying to aim too far before O given that Shettles timing has been debunked. Im not a pink swayer but from memory our results have indicated that jellys make little/no difference and that the position also have no impact.

Are you doing any exercise? Recommendation is 5-6 60min cardio per week.

If youre wanting to hear from Atomic avoid bumping your own posts as she works from oldest to newest, typically takes her 1-2 days to get to poss in the free forum.

Thanks Mia.

After the miscarriage I’m pretty eager to get pregnant again, that said if I have more than a 50% chance of having a boy I would rather wait.

Trying to judge what works and what doesn’t is difficult when there’s so many different components. Out of interest, how do you guys arrive at a general consensus? I know some of the sway tactics are fairly well researched (diet and exercise for example), it’s the other stuff I’m wondering about. I’d just like to understand how the importance of different aspects is weighted.

I’m currently torn about supplements, IG recommend them but now after doing some reading here, I’m worried about increasing the risk ok MC.

Thanks again. I was bumping so Atomic might see, thanks for letting me know 😊

Not being a pink swayer Im not so intune with the finer pibk sway details, will let others chime in with these.

Sway tactics that are suggested here are bases on a number of things:
- what has been proven scientifically
- what is safe to do while ttc
- what our results indicates works
- what allows you to get pregnant at all
- beyond that some women include tactics theyve read in other places and as long as they dont harm your sway (even if we dont think they help either) theyre ok to include
