Has anyone else’s period been delayed since starting their diet? I am like clockwork when it comes to my period. This is my 2nd week in the diet, is it possible that that’s why I’m late?

I do feel quite crampy and have some whiteish discharge (sorry for the tmi) and lower back pain. I keep waking up feeling like I’m going to have it, just to see discharge. I’m really hoping I didn’t ovulate late, because my husband and I haven’t been careful, after I think I’m in the clear (since my cycles really are clockwork)

I took a dollar store pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative:
Anyone else experience this?

Your period only comes late when you ovulate late, and since you didn't start the diet till 2 weeks ago, it's not possible that the diet could have made your ovulation late.

Were you under stress at all? Or exercising, sick, realy busy, short on sleep? Doing anything else unusual with diet prior to starting LE?

You DID ovulate late. There's no doubt about that, since your cycles are normally like clockwork and your period hasn't arrived. You can't have a delayed period unless your ovulation was also delayed.

The question is could you be pregnant and it just not registering on tests yet, and the answer to that is also yes.

I would stop having unprotected sex if you dont' want to possibly conceive (you could be about to ovulate!) and keep testing if AF doesn't arrive

I did have c-diff at the end of January and into the beginning of February and went under a lot of stress at that time. From beginning of feb to now I’ve lost 25 lbs.

I’m semi freaking out because when I wasn’t sick my diet was very boy. If I am pregnant I definitely didn’t have enough time for my sway to have worked.

Definitely will no longer be having unprotected sex until it’s time to conceive if I’m not.

Really hoping I get it soon!

Please don't freak out, you can still have a girl.

Like I said sickness can delay ovulation, but in addition to that, weight loss is the #1 reason for a delay or stop in ovulation.. Losing 25 lbs in such a short time is a huge amount of weight to have lost in a months' time, it would be a miracle if your O was on time after that! I would try to slow down the rate you're losing and please add in the following (in addition to you LE Diet foods):

1 serving of full fat dairy a day
4-6 eggs a week
1 serving of salmon if you like it, fatty red meat if you don't, per week.

Drop fiber if you're using it.

That makes a lot of sense. It’s so strange because I’ve been having the discharge for quite some time now. My cycle is probably all messed up.

I’ve been having about 7 eggs a week so far, I’ll be sure to add in the salmon and or beef.

The only fiber I get is in the form of the foods I eat, should I cut back on fiber all together or just if I was taking it in pill form?

Just if in pill form.

If you haven't ovulated yet, you can have weeks of EWCM/pre-ovulation discharge.

Or, it could be a vaginal infection, sometimes they are opportunistic and if you were being treated for the C-diff with antibiotics that may have given microbes a foothold. It may be worth having it checked out in that case.

I’ll definitely have that checked out. Prior to having the c diff I was sick constantly from work.

I’m so mad at myself, I’m so used to being “regular” that my husband and I have been using NFP as birth control. It’s been fool proof. I feel so dumb now, I just hope if I am pregnant luck is on my side lol we dtd unprotected last night so if I’m ovulating now, oy vey:nails:

oh you're using NFP though?? Do you have a chart I can see?

This is my cycle for February. They’re usually pretty consistent, depending on how many days in the month, usually it only fluctuate s a day or so, the times that we did dtd in and around the fertile period were protected. The 23 and 26 were unprotected.
I don’t usually temp but I do check the CM, I really never have a lot of EWCM, it’s usually just a clear discharge, since the beginning to my fertile period to now it’s stated exactly the same. Just clear and slippery. I don’t know if that helps at all.

I was supposed to get my period on Saturday or Sunday.

No temping? I'm not going to be able to tell when or whether you ovulated without the temping, sorry.

These apps are just about garbage. I have had several people get pregnant without intending to while relying on apps.

Since you're still getting slippery discharge it's possible that you haven't Oed yet, be sure you are using protection!

All we can do now is wait and see what happens - FXFXFX for best possible outcome, whatever that may be.

Oh ok, I’ve been doing it wrong for sure then!

That’s good to know because if I’m not pregnant I won’t be using those apps anymore.

Today I’ve been having a lot of crab like pinching in my lower abdomen, my boobs are sore and lower back still hurts a bit. I know the cramps and back can be signs of ovulation or period but idk about the tender breasts.

At this point only time will tell.
Whatever will be will be!
Fx anyway lol !

:agree:they're fine if you just want a rough estimate of when your period will come but they are NOT NFP methods and should not be relied upon to prevent pregnancy.

FXFXFXFX that this is either AF on the way or ovulation, and nothing more long term than that (unless it gets us what we want, LOL)! :nails:

Oh definitely, they’ve been perfect with my period, up until now lol!!

I really hope if I am luck is on my side. Although I don’t know, because I ate pretty bad prior to starting my diet. That’s how I ate when I got my boy. I know this is a swaying site but have there ever been people who came in here wanting another boy, after having a boy, eating a boy diet and got a girl? I know there’s opposites but I just assume moms of girls that are swaying for a boy, still have girls because that’s how their body is set up (sorry if I sound super ignorant) and vice versa for boy moms wanting girls. I sound crazy and I don’t know if I’m portraying what I want I’m trying to ask correctly lol Being that I only have one boy I don’t know if it was just luck that I had a boy or if it was how I ate/lifestyle.

No you're right there are people who do just seem set for one gender over the other, but we do still see people getting opposites even after 4,5,6 or more of the same gender. I've seen people get girls after 8 boys and boys after 8 girls - without swaying. I can't answer your question about your diet, I just don't have enough information (and I have to take everyone's words on what their diet was like anyway - so I can't know if they're even eating particular diets or not!)

I look at my grandmother who has 3 of each, 6 kids. Her diet never changed or her lifestyle and then there’s people who have all girls or all boys. Mama June has all girls and her diet (from what you can see in tv) should be in boy territory. It’s all very interesting. I think being that I do have OCD tendencies I feel like if I don’t sway correctly there’s no way I can have a girl.

My diet, to be frank before starting to sway again, was total shit. So much so that I gained 60lbs in a year. It’s embarrassing honestly. Which is why I feel there’s no way I could get a girl eating that many calories and having super unhealthy fast foods.

The only silver lining is that I do lose weight FAST. Idk if it’s all water weight that I lose or what, but it comes off pretty quickly.

We actually have found a trend where heavyset women who eat poorly do have all girls and you can read about that here. https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/3187-big-girls-little-girls-baby-girls-boys.html

We regularly, surprisingly regularly have blue swayers go onto a sway diet and gain a massive amount of weight and have a girl. It was such a thing that I've really really REALLY had to put my foot down and limit their weight gain to a very strict 3-5 lbs for most blue swayers, because so many who gained 30+ lbs ended up with a girl. So don't count yourself out yet.

That’s so strange and interesting! I would think that being overweight or eating a lot of calories would sway girl because it does lower the odds of conception, but at the same time, it’s hard for me to fully believe that (for myself I mean) because I conceived my son on an EXTREMELY unhealthy fatty, fast food and high everything diet! Do you think someone could eat a HE diet and prior conceived boys on it and then conceive a girl on the same type of diet?

I think I may have my period, I need to get a pg test to confirm, but I’m hoping it is just AF, I felt very unsettled before. I need to give this sway a good chance!

WE need to move away from "healthy and unhealthy" because you can eat a diet that's "unhealthy" for heart health and cancer prevention and be eating tons and tons of nutrients. A "healthy" diet of vegetables, skim yogurt, pasta, and salad can sway strongly pink. it's not about "healthy and unhealthy" the way people think of it.

Yes, I do think people can always have boys and girls on any given diet.

This is very true, and you’re 100% right. My diet before conceiving my son was very fast food unhealthy kind of unhealthy which did have a lot of nutrients and was very high in everything honestly lol
I get what you mean about the nutrients and it does make sense.

:agree: exactly. People will regularly tell me things like "but I would eat a whole package of Oreos at one sitting and that's so unhealthy, why did I have boys?" and then I'm like "but there are 3000 calories in a package of Oreos" (and they were eating that in addition to their normal diet)

What is healthy in terms of fertility means "eating a lot of fat, protein, calories, and nutrients". What is healthy in terms of longetivity does not involve eating a lot, but eating adequate amounts. In animal studies, when animals go onto lower cal diets, they stop having babies, but live a long time!

I’d love to add my diet to how I got my son, but I’m honestly soooo embarrassed
By how I ate. But I definitely see WHY I had a boy after all of that. I think at this point, since I do only have one son, is that I’m just hoping I’m not one that is prove to one gender. Not that there’s anything wrong with having boys, I love my son with everything I have, but this is most likely my last one.

I was trying to explain everything to my husband, and he’s gotten on to trying his best to do his part in the sway.

Do you think, depending on a person, their weight and height could alter how much protein or fat they should eat, in terms of trying to sway?
