View Full Version : Anyone else

Has anyone else had two kids of opposite genders eating the same type of diet?
Long story short, hubby and I dtd unprotected and could possibly be pregnant due to late O, I was only two weeks into my sway, diet prior to sway was pretty similar to the diet I had when I got my son. HE diet for sure. While I know swaying isn’t set in stone to work, I would have felt better getting PG after being in the diet for long and having an opposite rather then having a boy BECAUSE I wasn’t on the diet long enough (if that makes sense) I’m a bigger lady, and did lose 25 lbs prior to this whole situation but it’s not giving me much hope.
Anyone have any input?
Also want to add, I had swayed a little over a year ago, got PG in Jan of 2018 and had a miscarriage, was off the LE PCOS diet since then and gained weight back.
Tyia! :)

It's anecdotal of course but I have a couple of friends with pigeon pairs and both ate basically the same before conceiving their kids. I only have boys but I ate very HE with my first and got a boy then ate very LE with my third and had another boy! So while diet can definitely help sway, it's not the be-all end-all.

yes :) my 1st baby was a boy and my 2nd a girl, i changed nothing diet wise (didnt know about swaying) but she was conceived 4 months after DS1 was born so i think thats what swayed pink for me.
then i had DD2 conceived after 3 boys in a row, again i knew nothing about swaying, same diet and lifestyle but i had a very bad sickness bug the month i conceived her and only dtd once, so i think thats what swayed pink for me then.
i'll add ive had a sway opposite after doing 12+weeks on LE diet with 1 attempt, my previous sway was basically the same and that one worked. There's always a chance at either gender even if you dont sway at all :)

You’re totally right, I get so in my head because my son was a total HE baby (minus the working out) very high calories and fat and protein, Tons of white bread. It’s nice to hear input from others! Thank you :)

4blue2 pink: It’s so nice to hear others stories! I’m hoping everything works out and I get my girl if I am pregnant. The lifestyle I had with my son was so boy but also VERY unhealthy! I was actually sick all last month (bronchitis and then a batch of c diff) it sounds horrible but I’m hoping that sways for me somehow lol
Thank you so much for your input! Puts me at ease!:)

Yes! Two of my closest girlfriends. They both eat lots of fish and meat and never diet and never exercise. One has a boy then a girl, the other had a girl then a boy. Remember swaying is only to tip your odds. You always have a natural chance for a girl. Good luck! 😊

That’s awesome! I get so caught up in swaying that I feel like it’s end all be all and in reality it’s not always the case. Thank you for your input!! :)

Thank you for the response! It’s truly mind baffling how all of this work, I guess sometimes it’s just all up to chance!

It's not all up to chance, it's just that swaying is like an iceberg, the part we can see above the water is small, the stuff below the water is massive, so when we look at any given person, their body type/diet or whatever, that's only a small part of the stuff that sways. More goes on under the surface that we can never know about, some of which likely dates back to when we were eggs forming in our GRANDMOTHER"S body (since the egg that is us, formed in our mother's ovaries when she was in her mother's womb.)
With swaying, we control the stuff we can control, but there are things that exist outside of our control and sometimes those things have an effect on the gender of baby we conceive.

I hope I didn’t come off as disrespectful or unbelieving of swaying! There’s so much to it, it’s overwhelming sometimes lol I give you so much props for all of the research and dedication to all of this.
It’s so interesting, but so mind boggling at the same time! Do you feel like there’s people that can’t gave a certain gender due to things we do not know? It’s crazy looking at certain situations like Michelle Duggar where she has a huge family and so many of one gender in a row.

No not at all, sorry - I often write gobs of posts in a day, very very quickly and I don't always have perspective on how things might come off to people reading them! Sorry!
I think everyone can have either gender at any time. It makes no sense to have either all boys or all girls - our genes would never allow it. The thing that makes the most sense for human survival is for us to have boys when boys have a better chance at passing down genes, and girls when girls have a better chance at passing down genes. I have a couple essays on that here https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/swaying-studies-and-scientific-research/824-you-cant-carry-baby-gender.html and the better of the two here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/47852-we-only-dont-make-boys.html

Oh no it’s no problem! I feel like a lot of the time I’m very ignorant to certain things and don’t want to come off snotty or unbelieving!
I definitely will be reading those as soon as I finish typing this! I so wish there was just a magic bullet for swaying! It’s so stressful, especially when you know it will likely be your last child!
Thank you for the information atomic!!
I haven’t been able to get a test, my car decided it was going to not start today so I need to wait for hubby to get home to get a test! But (sorry for the tmi) it is a pretty heavy flow with a lot of clotting!

Do take a test anyway as you can be pregnant and have a seemingly normal "period." This actually happened to me personally, so it's not one of those "friend of a friend" stories that seems really hard to believe. I had a full on, 5 day, heavier than normal "period" and ended up with a baby 9 months later!

I definitely will, I have to get a test tonight, I still didn’t get one, with my sons birthday around the corner things have been hectic and it slipped my mind, somehow! That is actually quite petrifying! I am hoping it is my period and not anything else! I’ve been feeling great about my sway this time around!
