View Full Version : Nub girl or boy

I know it’s too early to tell but can you tell if it’s a boy by the way the angle of nub is? Doesn’t it angle down, especially early on if it’s a girl? I was thinking boy since the nub isn’t angled downward.
I thought I was 10w4d but baby is measuring 11w3d and heart rate has been 170 the past 2 ultrasounds.
Thanks for your help! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190313/ad43b189a267aac0eb42509a6d2e4d36.jpg

All babies have flat nubs like girls at this stage so baby would look like a girl even if it was a boy. This nub's angle gives no clues on gender at all, it could very well be a girl. It truly is impossible to tell at this gestation beyond purely guessing. Heart rate has no bearing on gender, all babes have high heart rates at this gestation.

Thank you, I thought so but I thought I’d ask! The only reason I mentioned heart rate is because the 4 boys I’ve conceived all had heart rates early on in high 150’s-160’s and my only girl was always 170.

Yes I so wish I could tell gender but I just can't at this stage. All babies look like girls (and unfortunately heartrate is not indicative of anything, either.)
But what a gorgeous sight!

I know, it seems like it should be a thing but when they tested the idea it just didn't prove true. The only thing that causes heart rate to vary is age of gestation and how worked up mama is when she goes in for the scan - our being nervous makes the baby's heartrate higher sometimes.

Thank you! I was just curious but I’ll be so blessed and happy with a healthy baby boy or girl!
