My thyroid Dr/naturopath ran some blood tests at the beginning of this month.

He said testosterone was lower than he'd like to see but he doesn't suggest messing with it while TTC. He suggested taking 5mg of DHEA to get my levels into "optimal" range. He also suggested taking Pregnenolone and LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone) but I prefer not to over do it with supplements. I'm not taking anything until I see my Reproductive Endocrinologist tomorrow to go over my CD3 blood results.

Offtopic, I wonder if my Testosterone number being lower would indicate that I'm more likely to have a girl? Not that it matters, I'm not about to start eating raw meat and become a body builder or anything... just curious.

Testosterone 19ng/dL Range (8-48) ← Optimal would be 30
DHEA-Sulfate 94.2ug/dL Range (57-297) ← Optimal would be 225
Progesterone P4 / CD18 19.8ng/mL Range (1.8-23.9) ← Good
Pregnenolone, MS 67ng/dL Range (<151 adults) ← would like to see this higher.

I want you to talk it over with the RE. I don't have a problem with it since your DHEA is low, not at all, may be helpful. I don't like people taking DHEA without having these blood tests done first, is all. If DHEA is on the lower side, then I'm ok with people taking it.

The theory about testosterone and swaying has never been even a little proven. It's one idea, mostly untested, and so while we sometimes "pretend" it is proven and do things to help sway based on the theory, we really have no idea.

What I do know is here and now what you're doing isn't working and since the DHEA is lowish we'll give it a whirl provided your RE approves.

Morning atomic,
So we met with the RE yesterday to go over CD3 - it was actually CD4 - bloodwork, ultrasound & HSG.
RE said a big NO to DHEA, LDN because my fertility bloodwork looks fairly good he doesn't want me messing with anything that my upset my balance.
I'm going to go ahead and post in the infertility/ART board to see if there's anything I should do to up my chances for IUI... that's our next step based on our "unexplained infertility" prognosis.
Hope that's OK that i'm posting on diff boards!
