Hello everyone...
I've had an ongoing thread getting great advice along this journey. I'm on my second long cycle after 16 weeks on diet. My opk this morning was looking pretty dark. I'm going to try a digital tonight but thinking tonight could be our one attempt. My question is...dh has not released in a week. Should he release before attempt? Does this sway blue? Any last minute things I should do today? We were supposed to have a party and I'll be surrounded by cheat food. Now I have to try and control myself.
Thanks for anyone who can help before we attempt.

Are you trying to sway pink or blue? I'm not actually knowledgable enough to answer your question but I'm interested in knowing the answer:p

Thanks for the response. I ended up testing later and it was a clear negative so we never attempted. Now the next day the opk is definitely negative. Should I attempt or wait... could I have missed it. The opk was definitely dark...i test twice a day. Now I'm confused.

Not sure. Mine are usually only positive for a short time. Maybe you missed it,and i dont know if trying now will get you pregnant. But maye the egg is still available..
Im no expert at all. It can all be so confusing.

If he's already abstained then having him release only depletes his reserves and doesn't get rid of all the yuk sperm anyway so it's pointless for him to release.
If anything you did for diet for a day before O mattered, we'd only do diet a day before O! Cheating is not only allowed on LE but encouraged - I took the occasional need for a cheat into account when I made the diet!! Cheating is fine and it makes no difference even if it' right before ovulation.

When in doubt, attempt. Remember you can get pregnant with attempt too early, but not too late, so if your OPK is close but not there yet it can make sense to BD just in case that's as dark as it's going to get (which some of them are like that, never get 100% positive)
