I’m finishing up amoxicillin - 500mg 3x/day. I know abx sway blue, but for how long? They have a super short half life and supposedly leave the body within hours. But I’m not sure about the sway effects. We’re not supposed to take probiotics while girl swaying, right? So that wouldn’t help?

My next fertile window is maybe 17-20 days away. I was trying to get my first egg after having Mirena removed, but I’m not sure if I should try then or not?

Who knows... I might not even get my cycle back by then. Although fingers MAJORLY crossed that I do. Just looking for advice. Thanks!

Also, just to clarify: 1 single attempt in fertile window gets best girl results right? So try that before we go for E4D? How often do sperm replenish? Has the depleted sperm count been debunked for swaying or is it scientifically backed? I feel like I should know all of this.

I've never seen a lick of evidence that they do sway blue.

:agree: we've found that probiotics do sway blue.

Yes I do want you to try to catch the first egg off Mirena

What are you using to judge when your fertile window would open??

Historically we've gotten good results with one attempt. Of late this effect has been somewhat swallowed up in the statistical "noise" (since a LOT of people do one attempt alone now, without any diet or exercise, and I believe this may have affected the results in a negative way) I want everyone to start with one attempt if at all possible before going to e4d.

We still operate under a weak assumption that lower sperm count sways pink but there was never (and still isn't) any hard data proving that. Sperm can replenish at different rates for different men anyway. I'm not sure what you're asking in terms of your attempt - what were you thinking of doing for your attempt, in terms of frequency?

I'm testing with ovulation strips everyday, sometimes twice a day. I had a regular light period while on Mirena, so I'm hoping my cycle just continues from that. I'm not sure if I was ovulating while on it as I didn't test at all, and I never took note of any ovulation pains.

I was planning to just BD once when I get a positive.

And I'm not sure what to do about frequency for DH's release. I know you don't suggest abstaining for men 35yr+. DH is 35. But he's not going to FR for 7 days in a row either. I guess I was wondering if he should release just whenever he can even if it's like 1-2x or if that matters? He's working 80-90hrs/week on his current contract, so I don't wanna stress him about it too much, y'know? I'm swaying, but I haven't asked him to make any changes himself at this point.

Thanks for your help!!!

Oh. I just thought of something....... DH takes turmeric daily for inflammation. Does it sway boy?!

At 35 you really can go either way. The risks are minor even for much older guys, it's just that I figure since abstain hasn't worked anyway, why take on even the smallest hypothetical risk, if that makes sense.

So I'd have him do abstain if frequency is important to you, otherwise I'd just let him "do what he does". I wouldn't bother with the hurry up FR (where you release once, dump it, then DTD again as quickly as he can, preferably within 1-3 hours) because it does cut odds of conception. But if you wanted to try it for a month or two that's your call to make of course.

I haven't seen enough people take turmeric to know if it has an effect on swaying.

Thanks so much! I’ve read so many successful sway posts/threads that I’m trying not to get my hopes up.

For someone who has recently gotten off hormonal birth control, is testing with OPKs the best way to know when to try? When the test line is as dark as the control line?

Yes it's really the only reliable way. When the test is as dark or darker than control
