View Full Version : New from UK, considering ttc girl later this year

Hi there! I'm new and from the UK. I have 3 boys and we may be going for our final attempt for a girl later this year, so I'm hoping to get all the info I need and buying the plan too when we decide to try.
I'm really nervous about it as my body seems to be geared up for making boy babies (caught pg on the first time twice). I was vegetarian with my first two, vegan with my third. DH flicks between veggie and vegan. I drink coffee everyday. I exercised 4 times a week for a year and was at my lowest weight before my third baby, but I did stop exercising 3 months before conception.
This will be my first attempt while breastfeeding. My baby is currently only 4 months, hence why we want to wait until later this year. My periods came back early with my first two (5 months) and I do intend to keep breastfeeding this time.
Anyway, thanks for reading if you got this far :) looking forward to getting involved!

I hope I've posted in the right place, by the way! I read a few posts but couldn't be certain that it was ok to post a new thread to say hello!

Am currently looking into the rainsbury clinic who will send us to cyprus.
I have seen a lot that its cheaper to contact the clinic directly.
To be honest we are in very early stages on researching, as we want to wait at least a couple of years to save up, and allow myself to recover from previous pregancies. (All narurally conceived).
I suffer with hyperemisis gravidarum when pregnant, thats the only reason we dont want to risk swaying and to have another blue, when realistically i think i could only handle pregnancy once more, and that would only be for a guaranteed pink :) xx
What about you? Xx
My name is Sadie btw x

Thank you, and you too kittendreams. I'll keep a look out for you :)
I see you swayed before, would you mind me asking if there's anything you'd change about your next sway?

Hi Sadie! I wasn't aware of there being a clinic in the uk that could refer to elsewhere. That's really interesting. Have you been informed of any costs? I'm intending to sway, but i don't feel there's an awful lot left to change lol!
I wish you all the luck with your research :)

Hi and welcome Polly!!

As you know it's definitely possible to get boys while vegetarian and even vegan! When you get the plan I'll have more info about your diet I can analyze to see what changes we can make to help you get your baby girl!

Let me know how I can be of help!

LE Diet is here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-girl/16780-low-everything-diet-nutshell-version.html

But if you're going to possibly do IVF (or have PCOS) let me know because I have a couple variations of diet for those who aren't sure if they'll sway or do IVF, and also for those who have PCOS, Insulin resistance, or have more than 30 lbs. to spare.

Hi Polly
I have swayed twice unsuccessfully but don't let that put you off there are so many successful sways here I'm just the odd one out
Not sure why they havent worked we sure tried everything!
I will try pcos version of diet this time it's the only thing we haven't done. I don't have pcos but LE diet hasn't worked for me ( I lose weight very quickly but maybe I did it too long- not sure?) so I need to try something new.

I do not regret either of my "failed" sways though as they gave me two beautiful boys who needed me to be their mummy xx

Hiya - I was in opposite position and have three girls but am now pregnant with a boy (if NIPT result is correct [emoji1696])

I’ve had one failed sway and one success and although I was swaying blue whilst you are pink the things I did differently which I would recommend in either case is the personalised plan and coaching, checking any supplements with atomic (as I inadvertently took ones the third pregnancy that may have undermined my sway without even knowing) and changing my exercise. Everything else I did diet wise etc was just the same both times. I was also much more active on this forum asking questions and checking what I was doing rather than just relying on my own research

Fingers crossed you get your girls to all of you xxxx
