So I got my hands on the holy grail. I actually need it since I have PCOS. But nonetheless, I keep reading to take it days 5-9 but I thought I read somewhere that you ( atomic ) say to do 3-7 just wanted to make sure I got all my little girl birds in a row before I pop that first pill hahaha. I got my period today. I will say that if I take it through cd 5-9 my husband will be around during cd 12-15 which is when I’d ovulate most likely. Because he’s working out or state and is only home 1-2 days max a week. And my last question is should I only have the 1 attempt because I know how much success you’ve had with that. That’s all!! Thank you!!!

I feel we see better conception rates and fewer losses with CD 3-7. And while they say there are less twins with CD 5-9 I have not seen a trend in that direction.

I just want you to understand though you will very likely NOT ovulate until 5 days after the last dose at the soonest. If you stop taking Clomid CD 9 it's very unlikely you will ovulate CD 12,13 or even 14. I would actually be more inclined for you to take it CD 3-7.

When I take Clomid or Femara on day 5 I don't ovulate until cycle day 16 or 17.

Ok thanks! I’ll do 3-7. as long as it doesn’t change the effectiveness is what it aims to do. And do you still recommend only the 1 attempt? For a girl...

No, I actually think it's MORE effective.

You should do OPK and start with one attempt the first month on the Clomid. The 2nd and 3rd month, go to e4d in the every 72 hour pattern starting after AF ends and going through till when you're sure youve ovulated even if it means going all the way till your next period begins. Then go to e4d plus one more attempt at positive OPK for the 4th and 5th month, and if need be, to SMEP on the 6th month (sperm meets egg plan)
