I had my second daughter and thought we were done - hubby was/is booked in for the snip lol but here we are expecting baby number 3.

No nub shots unfortunately but baby looked a little different to me from my girls.

I’ve attached a photo, baby was measuring around 13.2 - any guesses welcome :)41575

I also have a video from the scan if anyone is interested. Thank you in advance :)

It's really too early for potty - do you have a nub shot?

Unfortunately I didn’t get any nub shots. I do have the video of the scan though.
Can girls present like this at 13 weeks? I’ve had 2 girls and just never really seen anything between the legs so it stood out to me.
That’s the video https://youtu.be/MK9g8SFQV0Y
If you skip to around 14mins in that’s where the shots between the legs are.

I can't see in the video :( sorry x

The thing is, it's the girl parts that turn into boy parts, and for some babies this happens later than others. So we can see things in a potty shot that look boyish but are really just clitoris and so it's best to wait till the process of development is complete to be sure (about 15 weeks, 18+ is best)

That having been said seeing something sticking out is better than seeing nothing sticking out and and thought for a second I spotted stacking in your video. I'm 60-40% blue! FXFXFX

Thanks Atomic, I have a scan next week and hopefully get another look - I’ll be 15 weeks then.

I personally wouldn't but I think I know some sonographers who would call that boy. I agree with atomic's 60% guess.

Ok some amazing person watched our video and managed to grab this possible nub shot. Firstly, is this the nub? And if it is, is it a boy or girly nub?

Thank you all again :)

And this picture too. I have tried so hard to find an example of a girl potty shot that looked like this at 13 weeks but haven’t managed to find any. Certainly not my own 2 girls who were completely flat ‘horseshoes’ at the same gestation.

nub is definitely pointing up, and I will confess my daughter was also very flat at that stage. I agree it's much better to see what we're seeing, it's just that I don't want to get your hopes up without being quite confident and I don't have that level of confidence with potty shots at this gestation.

(we have had several people told boy by potty shot at this stage who ended up having girls, so that is why I'm reticent.)

Thanks Atomic I really respect your opinion and yes lol I know I need to be patient but that’s so hard lol
I might get to find out this Thursday - baby will be over 15 weeks. Is a potty shot at that gestation more reliable?

So we had our next appointment today and were lucky enough to get another look at baby :)

My obstetrician agreed to take a look for us and here are some photos. I also have a video of the scan in case anyone is interested. She wouldn’t give us 100 though. 41608

Definitely a boy!

Ob's get like a handful of hours, in just a month, to learn/practice ultrasound. (Sonographer programs are 18 months-2 years including like 2000 hours of clinicals..) So I'm not surprised they wouldn't say 100% but at 15 weeks, a female potty shot should not look like that. Congrats!
