Hi Again,

I have another question. I've had difficultly getting and staying pregnant. After lots of testing the doctor has prescribed progesterone to help with my next pregnancy.
But, I haven't been able to get pregnant since February.

I'm considering trying soft cups because they seem to help some of my friends with unexplained infertility. However, Ive noticed that all of my friends who've tried them have had boys. Does anyone know if they sway blue?

Thank you.

I don't want ANYONE using soft cups. There is NO scientific evidence that proves they help anyone get pregnant. In fact, what they do far too often is seal the cervix SHUT and prevent the sperm from leaving the semen and getting up into the cervix (so basically they act as a diaphragm, blocking the cervix while the sperm are still in the semen. There is NO WAY you can put them in there managing to collect all the semen as you do. Plus, the gyrations you have to go through to put them in cause you to lose semen from the vagina.

What you need to do instead is have sex and then stay laying flat for at least 30 minutes afterwards. Spend part of that time laying on your stomach. You can prop your hips if you want but I don't think that actually does anything. By that time, all the sperm that is healthy will have left the vagina and gone up inside the cervix. whatever is left is just semen without the healthy sperm in it, and dead/dying/unhealthy sperm.

If you absolutely must use a soft cup, wait till 30 minutes has passed and then and only then insert it. That way you've given the sperm a chance to reach the cervix before you put the cup in.

Has your husband had a sperm analysis?? (sorry if I asked u this before) have you had an HSG?
