Did I mess up my one attempt?

Hubby abstained for 6 days and then we had our one attempt..problem is we did it twice in that one day..9am and then 12pm but it happened in that one day only and we didn't bd after. Is that now considered two attempts? Even though it was a few a hours in between

Two attempts has not been much worse than one, and still was by far better than three. Three was the thing to avoid.

Over the course of time our two attempts has ranged from 1% lower to 10% lower than one. It goes up and down over time but at its best it's been nearly identical to one attempt. And even with 2 attempts we always got 60% or better girl results (right now it's at 67% pink.) It's done now so try not to worry about it, may have been just what the doctor ordered. :)

With that long before you will most likely not conceive anyway.

Cramping can happen before, during, and after ovulation so it's really not a good way to tell what is going on with your ovulation.
