I would tend to lean girl too but the picture is not clear enough and legs a bit close together to be certain - ;)

I never thought I would get any gender clues in any of my scan report or US as gender screening is illegal in India. Glad I got at least one shot...

Looks girly as no protrusion at all. It could be tucked up between the legs but like someone else said, you’d probably see part of the scrotum.. hope we are all right and this is your girl

I have a very silly question though.. Is it possible that the tech/sono alter or edit the pics for our ultrasound report so that we don't get any gender clues??
Just asking coz here we don't get any clue regarding gender...

It's not a silly question, many people have wondered that.

And the answer is (this comes right from an ultrasound tech we used to have on the site!) is that the techs actually really resent issues of gender and are so overworked they would never have time to worry about it anyway. They are trained to care for one thing, and that is the baby's health. They get very irritated with people asking about gender, and they would very much prefer not to have to even deal with it. They have no interest and no time in editing anyone's ultrasound photos to look any different than they do, and additionally they would be of no use to the doctors (who get copies of these pictures) because the sole point of ultrasounds is to judge a baby's health and development. Giving a doctor a photo of a baby that has been altered would not allow the doctor the ability to judge the baby's health accurately.

I thought maybe it happened in my case coz I don't see those 3 lines in the pic which points girl nor anything boyish..

I did see how quickly the sono snapped pics. She was so busy that she can't even think of editing a pic lol.. We are not supposed to ask the gender here, so they are only focused on seeing if the baby is healthy...

I am only saying as i don't see any boy parts i am only good at nub theory but all the others may have seen something girly but its a great sign we can't see anything!

Please do not completely accept that it's a girl till you've had confirmation from a trained tech (or in your case the baby is born.) We can't see that much in just a picture or two and it is entirely possible the tech just didn't capture the boy bits on the ultrasound.

the reason I guess girl is that I don't see any boy parts. It is possible that the focus of the ultrasound wand just wasn't on the genitals. You can look at other ultrasound pictures where it looks like the baby is missing an arm or leg or even part of its head, and those things are still there, it was just that the wand wasn't focused on those parts so they didn't get captured in the picture.

My guess is still 60-40, so again, PLEASE do not "fully accept this is a girl" on the basis of our guesses!! I just don't want you to get your hopes up when the fact is we can't know for sure without an expert's opinion (and way more views of the goods)

Yes I have to agree with Atomic. While we don’t see any boy parts, we don’t see any girl parts either. So technically it really can be both. But I am still leaning more towards girl. But it’s just a guess.
