No

DIET

Did you follow a diet plan?
Not really, just tried to make a few changes.

Comments regarding DW's diet changes- I didn't want to be stressing about diet so just made a few changes. I still ate cereal for breakfast but swapped to a high fibre, low salt/sugar one with no added vitamins. I cut out my morning snack most days which is hard for me as im always starving in the morning. I ate mostly chicken/fish/ veggie meals with red meat once or occasionally twice a week. Tried to switch some food products to low fat ones. I was eating quite a lot of potatoes though which I know is not good for ttc a girl.

If diet was used, length of time before attempt?
Ive been applying these changes for most of the past year.

Did you skip breakfast regularly?
No I always had cereal for breakfast. I ate cereal when I conceived my dd so not too worried about that.

Did DH change his diet with you?
No but he was trying to lose weight so was eating less calories than usual.

Comments regarding DH's diet-
He was eating quite a high protein diet and also eating a lot of low fat yoghurts with berries.

Did you consume alcohol?
Only very occasionally

DId you try to limit caffeine?
No, I drank on average 2 coffees and 2 Teas a day.

THE DEED INFO
DH Info about Swimmers. DH was releasing pretty much every day. He had been going to the gym 4 times a week and coming home and sitting in a very hot bath for at least half an hour so these things might have lowered sperm count.

BD Position
Spooning

Did you Jump and Dump?
Did do but a few mins later.

Any relevant attempt details?

SUPPLEMENTS USED
DW Supplements

Folic Acid
Magnesium 500mg
Cranberry 5000mg
Serrapeptase 250,000IU
Cinnamon (only started 3 days before O)

DH Supplements
None

Any additional supplement info?

I was taking the serrapeptase as apparently its good for getting rid of scar tissue and I had been told I had some in my uterus and its good for inflammation and ovarian cysts which I also suffer from. It is also a mucus thinner so unfortunately that probably swayed boy and explains why I had so much ewcm.
Did you do anything with Ions?
No

Moon Phase during conception?
Not sure

Did you use any Old Wives Tales?
No

Things that make me feel great about my sway: Not much to be honest. I am hoping DHs age and him doing things like the hot baths may have helped the girl sperm.

Things that make me nervous about my sway: I had tonnes of ewcm probably thanks to the mucus thinning properties of the Serrapeptase. I had some symptoms of having estrogen dominance since my mc which I hear sways boy. I only have my right fallopian tube and I think that also favours boys - I have noticed a trend on a facebook group I am part of that those that got pregnant and only had a right tube had more boys but for those that only have a left it appears 50:50. We dtd on O day which I wasn't planning but I ovulated early.

Things worth mentioning:

I had an ectopic pregnancy in June 2018 and lost my left tube. I also had a miscarriage in Jan 2019.

The cycle previously I took 1200mg Vitex and 1000mg Inositol although don't think these would have any affect as stopped 4 weeks before O.

I thought I would do this post as even though I didn't really sway as such I think there were some girl and boy sway factors so might be interesting to see what might have been the strongest! I have decided to stay team yellow as I don't want to experience disappointment for the rest of the pregnancy as I struggle enough with pregnancy as it is. I think I will take the news much better once baby is here and in my arms. I do think I am having a boy though so trying to prepare myself.

Here is my 12 week scan pic done at 12+5. I’ve had mostly girl guesses and it is the only thing that gives me hope the baby could be a girl as everything else points to be baby being a boy.

Here is my 20 week scan which makes me think boy. It looks like you can see part of the babies genital area and when I showed my mum she said she thinks you can see the scrotum? I was also told I have a low lying placenta which apparently is more common in boy pregnancies.

At 20 weeks you can't tell from a side shot. Girl genitals are very swollen and TBH look a lot like a scrotum (after all they're formed from the same stuff) But I don't see anything that reveals gender at all in this anyway.

Thanks Atomic. I thought maybe girl parts could like similar to boy parts anyway at this stage but didn’t know if that was wishful thinking. We told the sonographer we didn’t want to know the sex so I wouldn’t have thought she’d give us a pic where you could see!

They can be depending on the angle.

Just to clarify about the sonographer, what an ultrasound tech explained to me was that they really don't care that much about gender. If you don't want to know gender they just don't write it on the picture. Most of the time they don't even bother keeping the potty shot from people! So if yours didn't include that, they did their part.

I just don't think you guys can see gender in this pic so you're still team green!

Thanks for your comments. I think the nub does look girly but seen so many girly looking nubs turn out to be boys so trying not to get my hopes up! I’m hoping to stay team green until the end, though have a scan at 32 weeks to check on my placenta so hope we don’t accidentally find out then! I will definitely update once we know which should be beginning of February.

I'd say the nub is too long to be a boy but like you say you never know but girl guess from me!

Only 6 days to go until my elective csection! Feeling nervous now, I’m sure I’ll be fine whatever the outcome but may feel a bit sad that the dream of giving my daughter a sister may be over. I will update next week.
