Hi I am officially back on the LE diet for two weeks, I’ve been doing pretty good. I had a similar thread like this when I was swaying my DD and it was very helpful and I found comfort in chatting with others. I plan on trying end of April or May, it depends on where my cycle is.
I have been not having sweets and doing good. I’ve also been having wheat bread and brown rice instead of white. Some days I will have a plain English muffin for lunch and been addicted to these pita chips made by town house.

I always have coffee in the morning with tiny amount of cream and equal.
Lunch around 11-12 another cup of coffee or English muffin with some pita chips. I’ve honestly been not hungry during lunch and I don’t really like veggies so it’s hard for me.
For dinner I just mainly eat the sides I cook or have some eggplant with rice and some veggies.
I do have a small snack before 7:30 pm or coffee. I am adding in a glass of wine a few days of the week.

Best of luck everyone

Ooh can I join? I’m not actually starting the LE diet until May 1st but I love reading meal ideas! [emoji4] I’ve been reading food labels on everything I eat now to get an idea (something I’ve never done in my life — total boy diet mom over here, hahaha).

I’m a huge couponer so I’ve been stocking up on things where I can! I’ve gotten a bunch of boxes of pasta, pasta sauce, shredded cheese (with exp dates into the summer lol), Quorn spicy chicken patties, and salad dressing so far. I found gnocchi on clearance at the grocery store last night so I grabbed a bunch! That will be perfect for meals with a little bit of pasta sauce and melted shredded cheese, with a little side salad with dressing! [emoji4]

What are you putting on your English muffins? Right now I usually eat them with a ton of butter and an egg and cheese, but that is definitely going to be too much for the LE diet! [emoji23] Do you eat them plain, or spread anything on them? I’m thinking English muffins would be a good idea for lunch too, I just need to figure out what to put on them! [emoji848]

The other thing I need to figure out is which veggies fall into the low/no carb and high carb categories. We don’t count the low carb and do count the high carb, right? Where does eggplant fall on this? I love eggplant too!

I’m a huge coffee drinker already so I’ve got that part down, lol. I make my own cold brew coffee at home, and I found a company that makes gourmet flavored grounds without added sugar! I add a little bit of skim milk and splenda and it’s PERFECT. Im already at 2-3 cups a day, so I’m just going to keep that up.

I’m so excited, I wish I could start the LE diet now! But I know I will lose weight quickly with the diet and exercise based on my past experiences and I don’t want to lose too much and stop ovulating before we can TTC in August, lol. Looking forward to getting some more meal ideas!

Hi! I’ve been eating them plain or a tiny bit of blackberry jam, once you’re on the diet. It’s pretty easy to stick to and you get used to it.

For eggplant I’m not sure, would have to let atomic ask. But there are a ton of free unlimited veggies. Read read read , if you are not a dream member yet, I advised to be, so that way you can read all the details of the diets etc. this site is wonderful! Best of luck to you

The only veggies I like is eggplant, such I, squash, and mushrooms haha.

I love coffee I usually drink it black with some equal

When I got my sway dd, I wasn’t eating sweets, so I’m staying away that also. And I’m the type of girl who can live off cake and chocolate lol

Oh I didn’t even think of that! I’m a huge salt fan haha so I tend to jump right to savory first. But jam or jelly on an English muffin sounds good!

& yes I am a dream member! [emoji4] I’m working my way through the complete index right now actually. I know we’re supposed to count calories in fruit & high carb veggies and low carb veggie are free. I’ve just yet to find a list or something of what exactly is a high carb veggie lol... all I know of is potatoes!

Another thing I was thinking of is bagel thins. I haven’t actually looked at the nutrition info for them yet but my mom used to eat them all the time while dieting... I’m thinking they might be good too with a little bit of low fat cream cheese and/or some jelly!

Hey guys, I'm planning to start the in June or July. I've started diet step by step. (Am already vegetarian for 13 years, so that's not an issue). It's actually going not that bad. Sweets are my weakness. I don't eat breakfast, only drink coffee with a little sweetener and a splash of milk. For lunch I'm eating wholewheat toast. I try to eat it with hummus, or a little bit jam. When I'm really hungry with some peanut butter. Sometimes I add an apple or banana. For dinner we have lots of veggies. We often eat curry with rice or chilli with wholewheat bread. Sometimes potatoes. Sometimes "veggie meat", there's a lot of that in the stores right now. Some are really good.
@Princess Mom, did you do PCOS LE diet for your girl? And now? You cut out sweets, completely or just most of the time? And did you additionally cut out sugar (like in jam, or ketchup or whatever?) Sorry for all the questions. I just would like to cut down on sugar, j just don't know how far I have to.

Jumping in to say hi! I'm planning on our next attempt around May (we were supposed to start trying end of last year but unfortunately sick kids/sick husband/life in general got in the way). I was doing SO well last year on the diet right up til October, which was my youngest son's first birthday and basically from then til now I've fallen off the bandwagon. I'm always hungry now for some reason and my 16 month old is waking multiple times a night still so I turn to sugar for energy, although at least I don't need to add in caffeine as I need it to survive LOL
At the moment I don't eat until around 2pm (only because I eat dinner quite late so it works out to be 14 hours fasting) although will have a long black in the morning. On Sunday nights I try to bulk cook something for dinner that I can then have for lunch that week, this week I'm having vegan fajita bowls (portobello mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini/squash, bell peppers, cauliflower and chickpeas roasted with olive oil, lime, garlic, cumin, oregano) with a few tablespoons of brown rice and a drizzle of sriarcha. I have this with a piece of fruit such as a plum, and an almond milk cappucino.
Tonight's dinner was a lentil minestrone with bread rolls, then I stuffed up big time and had my mum's apple and pear crumble with vanilla ice cream and two rows of chocolate  I usually have a glass of wine with dinner too. I seem to be self sabotaging at the moment because I'm so nervous about trying! I need to get re motivated to stay on track so hope to get some good food ideas

I did not do pcos, I still eat white bread and rice just doing both. I cut out sugar with my dd sway, it was lent season so I stood away for two months of sweets, I’ve honestly did not drop ketchup, little things like that I don’t think would effect, I love ketchup

This is going to end up being me too, when I can finally start the LE diet in May! How’s that working for you, waiting until 2pm to eat? Between our work schedules, getting DS1’s homework done, making dinner for both kids, fitting exercise in for me, then getting the kids ready and to bed on time... by the time I actually get to sit down and eat my own dinner, it’s pretty late! I also drink coffee in the morning as well (with skim & splenda) and I feel like that fills me up a little & will help me hold out for the 12-14hr fast.

I’m going to have to try those pita chips! Town House brand you said, right? I googled, I’ve never had them before. But I LOVE pita bread (and chips! [emoji23]) so that sounds like it would be really good! Do you have them plain or spread something on them?

It's actually been really good! I'm always in such a rush to get myself and my boys out the door in the morning that not having to think about getting breakfast myself has made life easier! The first couple of weeks were challenging because I was used to eating a protein-heavy breakfast with the kids (usually eggs) but once I got used to it, it's been really easy to stick to. And eating at 2pm has been working well for us as I'm out with the boys until around 1-2pm anyway then getting back for DS2's nap so by the time I get him in his cot, get DS1 settled with some snacks or lunch and then get myself sorted it's 2pm anyway. I eat dinner quite late once the boys are in bed (usually 9pm) so I might have a snack if I need it in between meals. My biggest issue is I've really been struggling with the sugar lately and I know I need to cut it out, but gosh when you're up so much overnight and so darn tired I have no self control to stop myself!

I know how you feel lol. Skipping breakfast is easy, especially getting my two older kids ready for school, then my 6 year old ds starts kindergarten at 12:30. So I usually eat around 11:30-12 something light, since I’m not that hungry around then. I do eat dinner around 4:30-5. My kids come home starving from school. I do have coffee around 7pm maybe light snack. Since all four of my kids want snacks always around 7:30 , especially when they come home from practices etc. my youngest recently turned 3 so I am busy with her all the time also and it’s cold and I have no time to work out! I really need to start.

For lunch today I had a slice of Irish soda bread ugh, I seen it on sale and just had a taste for it haha. Some pita chips and table spoon of hummus with some coffee. Not really hungry, for dinner we are making low carb Philly cheese steaks, but mine will be just veggies.

I’m thinking I might try in May, to be on diet little more than 12 weeks

I do know her sway worked and she got a girl, though! [emoji6]). Hopefully I can figure out how to post a pic correctly, lol...

If you guys encounter a whole grain product you just can't stand then please switch it for white. As long as you're doing mostly whole grain it's ok to have the occasional white flour food

I don’t know where to find it either [emoji3525] That’s the problem, lol. I just screenshot relevant things, like meal ideas, and put them in a separate album on my phone so that I can refer to them whenever I want. That’s the easiest way for me to keep my info together. I have no idea when or where that was from, it was one of the old meal threads. Thank you though!

Hey guys! I’ll be TTC blue in July. I’ve been on HE since October and can’t wait to be done. I mean I love eating and there’s a lot of new food that will now be a staple in my diet, but, like any swayer, I want to be done thinking about everything I eat.

I’ve completely stopped drinking coffee since Oct and have been alternating green and black tea. I love it and my goal is to eventually be caffeine free but that’s difficult between trying to stay motivated to work out and chasing after a toddler.

Usually for breakfast I make her a spinach, egg, and cheese scramble as a way to sneak in some greens. So, naturally, I make that for myself as well and add a bowl of oatmeal with whole milk, blue berries, and syrup. Yes, syrup. Lol! We make is homemade so it’s much more accessible to us than honey.

I snack on whatever really, just keeping in mind a nutrient dense fruit or veggie paired with a protein. A lot of time it’s nuts and dried fruit. A banana (or celery) and peanut butter. Whole milk yogurt with berries. Sometimes I side salad with chicken but I usually save that for a meal since I can really get a lot of bang for my buck there. I also snack on cheese and olives.

Lunch is usually either left overs or a huge salad. I will either use all spinach or mix it with other greens. I top it with carrots, dried cranberries, walnuts, feta, shredded chicken, cucumber, and usually a sweet dressing like poppyseed or strawberry vinegarette.

Dinner almost always contains red meat. My DH hunts and we live on a farm so we always have beef in the freezer too. Friday fish fry is a huge thing around here so I have fried cod on Fridays with fries and a side salad. We do grill a lot so I’ll often have grilled veggies and potatoes with dinner. We also make a lot of casserole dishes and roasts which always incorporate veggies, onions, and garlic.

I don’t often have a bedtime snack to be honest. I’m usually full from a late and/or hearty dinner. When I feel I should have on though, I will have a lara bar with an apple or sigis whole milk yogurt with dried berries and oats.

Like I said, I’ll have tea in the morning, some sort of fruit juice (coconut water, V8, orange or grape fruit) and then drink lemon water the rest of the day.

I’m pretty routine. As I’m typing this, I do have a question though. Do you think it really matters if the V8 is low sodium or not? With things being so picked over, that’s often all they have at our little grocery store.

Anyways, that’s a lot to sift through but I wanted to chime since I’ll also be TTC this summer. Good luck everyone!!! [emoji1317][emoji170][emoji1695][emoji175]

Hi. I'm on LE diet for some weeks. It's going quite alright. Of course this weekend I cheated a lot. But oh well it was mothers day.
I started to eat vegetarian sushi and I like it! Last week I made lentil burgers, they turned out really good. I like sweet potato, the kids not that much. Apart from that we eat vegetarian chilli or tacos, vegetarian pizza, and I love some of the vegetarian meat you can buy here. Wishing everyone good luck with their sway. Ttc time is getting closer!

Thanks for the reminder about potatoes!! I love baked potatoes, both sweet potato & regular. My DH really LOVES loaded baked potatoes, so that’s actually a good idea for something that we could both eat one night! Plus I believe I have a recipe on Pinterest for how to make baked potatoes in the instant pot! [emoji4]

Also, what is vegetation sushi?! I love seafood EXCEPT for sushi — I just can’t do raw fish, and I’ve tried! I love almost all vegetarian food though, so maybe vegetarian sushi is something I could try too!

I posted in another diet thread with what I’ve been eating so far. I’m going to try to copy the link to it here — hopefully it works! [emoji1695]

Hey. Sorry for answering so much later. It's just always something going on.
I saw the other thread. It's great. I'm just afraid I'm of no help because I eat the same things over and over again! Lol! Plus I try to not count too much, since I get too control freaky when doing it.
DH loves Sushi, but I don't eat fish so vegetarian sushi. It's pretty much just the rice with veggies inside but still, I like it. It's nothing "heavy" so I felt great after eating it. (With avocado it even has some fat).
Maybe I will revisit the other thread when I tried a few other meals. Good luck with your sway. 😊

Hi all,

I'm new to the forums and hoping to sway pink. I've been eating vegetarian for the last few months and have tried incorporating the LE diet the last 5 weeks or so. I'm still breastfeeding my 19 month old so have 3 meals a day as I'd get too hungry skipping breakfast. I eat breakfast around 9:30, lunch at 12 and dinner at 5:30. I do have a weakness for cheese and chocolate. I can't have chocolate in the house at all anymore otherwise I will just eat the whole packet- I cannot stop at just a couple of squares.

Some of my favourite meals are veggies (green beans, mushrooms, zucchini, capsicum, chilli) with noodles (either rice noodles or a small amount of hokkien noodles)- I also sometimes add a little tofu or edamame if I do need some protein, baked potatoes, eggplant and lentil salad, veggie soup, low fat mushroom pasta, fried rice (I just my serve in a separate pan so I don't have the same amount of oil and can leave out the bacon) and veggie curry.

Hi and welcome! [emoji16] Have you gone vegetarian for swaying purposes or just a general lifestyle change?

Cheese is my weakness too! “Cheese is my #1 food group,” I’ve always said. [emoji23] I have still been eating at least one serving of cheese a day on the LE Diet, fitting it into the limits of course. For dinner I’ve had a serving of shredded cheese melted over pasta or melted over refried beans on a tortilla, I’ve had grilled cheese with tomato or some other type of soup for lunch, and I’ve even had just a plain old slice of Muenster cheese with everything flavor Ritz crackers along with lunch or dinner! [emoji23] Also low fat cream cheese on bagel thins, garlic & herb goat cheese over light multigrain English muffins with tomatoes, and Laughing Cow brand cheese wedges spread over chips/crackers/English muffins. I just can’t do it without cheese... I’m very happy to fit it into the diet where I can! [emoji16]

Tonight I am going to try butternut squash noodles, I think! Thanks for the reminder about edamame — I LOVE the stuff! I’ve never cooked it at home before, only had it out in restaurants... any tips for making it at home?

I love edamame too, they are quite high in protein if you need to make up a bit of protein. I buy a frozen packet from the supermarket which has cooking directions on the packet- boil or microwave and then toss them in to what I’m making.

Love the ideas for incorporating cheese!! I will have to borrow some of these.

Awesome, thanks! Weirdly enough I was low on protein the last two days and had to find something to bring it up with dinner. These would help! Lol. I’m doing a grocery run tonight so I’m going to look for some in the frozen section! [emoji1695]

Hi ladies,

Joining you if I can :-).

I am also trying to conceive a baby girl after 3 boys and I am on the LE diet. Been on Dr Papa's diet for 2 years (about a year before conceiving DDS3, and back on it when DS3 for 6 months... until I found Atomic;s LE diet about 2 months ago... so switched to it. Trying to get better I it, cause I am learning to count calories and understand the whole protein/fat etc thing... hope I'm getting better.

Hardest part is staying away from chocolate... I do have a cheaty everynow and then, but I am trying to limit it as much as possible. A little ice cream at the beginning, but no more. Thing is, weight is still dropping, and finding it ahrd to keep it.

I am eating lots of veggies, chicken every now and then, prawns sometimes, but mainly pasta, wholegrain bread, mozzarella cheese, unsated butter, veggie pizzas, lots of rice (but white unfortunately - don't have the brown one at the moment - no grocery (confinement)), some yogourt but not that much... so listening to all your ideas:-)

No breakfast... lunch at 12, fruit and toast at 3, dinner at 6... trying to cut the 3pm meal, but losing too much weight...But nothing till at least 12am except a coffee

And lots of luck for a baby girl...

I’ve definitely still been having chocolate! Not a lot, but I’m not avoiding it. I had a bag of Butterfinger Minis leftover from Easter. One day I had a full serving (three minis) with lunch when I was low on fat for the day, and after that I just had one mini with lunch until the bag was gone (and all were within the LE Diet limits for the day!)

Another way I’ve had chocolate is with chocolate hummus!! The brand I’ve bought is “Tribe” hummus, but I think that’s a local brand. There are many different brands that make chocolate hummus, though. [emoji4] It’s SO good with fruit! Yesterday I had some with raspberries, today I’m going to have cherries with it. I got bananas to have with it also. LOVE fruit & chocolate! And all are within the LE Diet limits again of course [emoji16]

Same with ice cream! I’ve actually had a good amount of ice cream: regular ice cream, “diet” or “light” ice cream, and even oat milk ice cream. As long as it’s within the LE Diet limits for the day, it’s all good! If I’m really low on fat after dinner I’ve had a full or half serving of regular ice cream. Also a great way to get in some protein. If I don’t have as much room to spare in the fat totals, I’ve had the light ice cream, or oat milk ice cream. The thing about the oat milk one though is it’s low in protein. But this was also super helpful one day when I was low in fat but high in protein - a serving of the oat milk ice cream evened everything out!

I’ll come back later today and post my meals, for some more ideas. Right now I’m going to take a nap while my 3yo is, before I have to sign back in to work in two hours! [emoji28] Working split shifts due to the pandemic has me all messed up, lol!
