Hi All,

Hoping to start my TTC girl attempt soon.
I have done a lot of reading, but was wondering if there is a general rule re calorie intake?
I am pretty good at tracking my macros as well. So far my diet is 1,500 cal with 140 Carbs - 60 Fat - 119 Protein.
I work out 6 days a week - High Intensity + Weights.
Any other fit mamas out there that had any luck?

Thank you in advance for your responses :)

I have most people on 1500-1800 cals a day (some go up to 1800-2000 or even beyond depending on height, breastfeeding, or weight coming off too fast, a very few people drop to 1200-1500, usually those who are very short or have a lot of trouble losing weight) This does not count calories in low carb veg, because they are free and unlimited, you have as many low carb veg as you want, no need to track anything in them.

for protein, most people are on 40-50 g, a large minority bump up to 50-60 g, and a few even go up more like 65 g (if you have PCOS, insulin resistance, more than 30-50 lbs to spare, have concerns about egg quality, or are breastfeeding eat more protein) YOu do not count protein in any fruits and veg (except legumes), only calories in higher carb veg like potatoes

For fat, most people are on 30-60 g, a large minority at 50-60 g, a few up to 65 g (if you have PCOS, insulin resistance, more than 30-50 lbs to spare, have concerns about egg quality, or are breastfeeding eat more fat) you don't count fat in fruit and veg (except avocado and olives)

We generally have people focus more on cardio but as long as you've lost at least a little weight on a lower protein diet you can't be gaining muscle and so I do allow you guys to stick with weight training, particularly if you're lready used to doing that.

FWIW we have had a lot of super fit women trying to get BOYS (because they have all girls) so it is totally possible to get girls living a very fitness-oriented lifestyle, we just want to be sure to get you your best chance at a girl. :)

Thank you so much for such detailed reply! Mush appreciated.
How far out would you recommend starting this before TTC?

We have best results with 12 weeks + before trying.
