I do sway pink but I think I ovulate 2-3 days after my digital OPKs turn positive. This time they turned positive on Friday 1pm and now it’s Sunday and my BBT temps are still low with OPK test lines as dark as control. So I suspect I ovulate tomorrow (Monday), so will my Friday attempt still be viable?

I have two boys and my AF is due on the 16th.
Also, I’m 38 so time is not on my side.

Thank you atomic, I think I might have to flip a coin, I cannot decide! Do you think I’d have a chance at pink with one more attempt though? What are your stats with two attempts?

Also what about ovulation pain? I had pretty strong pains on my left side last night (but my temps are still low this morning). Are they indicative of ovulation at all? does the pain happen when the egg is actually released?

I’m 38 so getting a bit worried. I got pregnant first go with both boys but this time it’s taking me longer (I understand I’m older but still).

Hi Atomic, I found this article from Clearblue website (with a number of studies) that suggests having an attempt the day after the LH surge (LH+1). That’s what I’ve been leaning towards since I usually get my peak OPK at least 48 hours after an initial surge. Will try next month.

9dpo so hardly surprise I got bfn! But then honestly, and I feel awful saying this, but I’d rather a bfn than conceive blue.
I’ve wanted another girl for so long now it almost feels like it’s never going to happen.

But I’m trying to accept more and more that swaying is just that, it’s a sway in the direction we want and the opposite gender is always possible each cycle no matter what we do. It’s hard to always put this into practice though! [emoji85]

So just gotta breathe, do my best and try to go with the flow more [emoji92]

Well, I was breastfeeding the previous baby with each of my girls, that was very different from when I had the boys. I did sway, but I was absolutely more in a “declining” maternal condition with my girls.

I don’t really have a satisfying answer unfortunately. With my first daughter, I believed in shuttles timing still, so I had one attempt at what I think may have been o-5.

With my second daughter, I honestly can’t remember. It was either one or two attempts.

With my third, attempts were at o-4 and o-1, and the o-1 was the morning after a positive OPK test.

I always used internet cheapies with the girls.

I did a lot of praying and a little bit of swaying. :)

Hi there!! Quick question, mommymachine, did you conceive your girls while exclusively breastfeeding? Did you conceive any boys while breastfeeding? I am swaying pink and breastfeeding and still waiting for my cycle to return. TIA

Hello! I have never conceived a boy while breastfeeding. No I was not exclusively breastfeeding anymore when the girls were conceived. My DS3 was 10 months when I conceived DD1 ( I didn’t even have a cycle yet.) DD1 was 14 months when I conceived DD2, and DD2 was 23 months when I conceived DD3.

DD3 will be 4 in June, so this is my biggest break between babies by far!!

I think I’m 3 or 4 dpo, depending on whether you count O day. My literal phase is 10-11 days though so at least I don’t have to wait too long! You are definitely not out yet, with my DS2 I had cramps the day before my AF was due but the next day instead of AF I got BPF!

CD 12 today prob will ovulate cd 16 good luck ladies I’m praying for a healthy pink baby!
My second dd is my successful sway baby I’m praying I have another girl, this will be my last baby. I’ve been on diet 12 weeks now. Low protein and even low sugar this time around I cut out sweets and soda.

Exercise is one of our best sway tactics, Omega 6/9 likely sway pink (I don't want pink swayers to take it, but I had to drop it from blue sways because it was making so many opposites) and maca has phytoestrogens in it like soy that likely also sway pink (but again I do not want pink swayers taking that either)

A few different reasons:

1)I try to shy away from anything that is said by other sites to actively sway blue. I don't think any of these things are at al magic bullets and it makes people enormously apprehensive

2)It is very possible, indeed likely, that the reason why things seem to sway is due to the individual variations that made some of us have boys or girls to begin with. That's a bit of an esoteric point, so let me explain...it may be that in someone who is already blue friendly, like pink swayers who have had many boys, taking certain nutrients simply adds on to their already good stores of nutrients and may sway more blue. Like, take for example the vegetable oils like the Omega 6/9, right?? If you are already have stores of lots of Omega 3 fats in your system from a lifetime of eating healthy, you can shake off a little Omega 6 leaving the Omega 3 fats to improve your condition.

But if someone - let's say a person who is not a big eater, may have chronic underlying nutrient deficiencies, already HAS an imbalance of Omega 6 fats from eating a poor diet, like a lot of blue swayers with many girls already do, and then they add MORE Omega 6 onto that, then that may just exacerbate an already existing imbalance, and taking the Omega 3 just can't make up for that.

So, long story short, the rules are not the same for pink and blue because they haven't started from the same place to begin with, and nor are they eating the same kind of diet when they sway (this is the more important reason)

and 3)I really dislike maca as it's a huge unknown, barely studied, and I think it tends to mess up people's cycles, so I don't actually recommend it for anyone

I’m not sure about my LP to be honest because DS1 was a surprise and DS2 was conceived first go when I just decided to start testing OPKs and get to know my cycle! Lol.

I’ve come to terms with it and overall perhaps it’s for the best with all this COVID-19 craziness. I’m not sure if I’d be able to get all the scans and monitoring I need next pregnancy due to all the social distancing.

So strange after my pos opk yesterday I got a temp spike today my opk is still pos so strange, I did have ovulation pain this morning. I did bd last night and late Tuesday. I’m so confused this cycle is wacky not going to get my hopes up

Hey I know it’s confusing, but with a temp spike at least you can be pretty sure you ovulated, and your last night attempt is nicely timed.

Did you have any alcohol last night? If I have alcohol the night before, my temp spikes.

This cycle has been weird for me, I think I maybe ovulated CD12 which is super early for me but didn’t get a fully positive OPK (no smiley face but my lines were really dark [emoji2370]). We did get an attempt in but i think it will have been too soon, in hindsight 0-3 so not great chances for conception really [emoji17]
Or I just might not have ovulated at all yet and still waiting on OPK and lots of EWCM (usual signs for me) [emoji2370]
I’m just going with e4d and keeping an eye on my symptoms, it’s so hard as I thought I’d already be pregnant now [emoji24]

I ended up getting my peak OPK on digital Clear Blue that night of CD16 and had my one attempt! That said, I suspect I ovulate later than CD17 since my OPK stays at peak level all day CD17 and CD18 (not sure when I actually ovulate as I don’t get O pains and these 3 days of peak readings get me confused). Anyway, I cannot have one more attempt as my hubby got a cold last night :( oh well, fingers crossed!

How do you usually time your attempt for pink, mommymachine?

I ended up getting my peak OPK on digital Clear Blue that night of CD16 and had my one attempt! That said, I suspect I ovulate later than CD17 since my OPK stays at peak level all day CD17 and CD18 (not sure when I actually ovulate as I don’t get O pains and these 3 days of peak readings get me confused). Anyway, I cannot have one more attempt as my hubby got a cold last night :( oh well, fingers crossed!

How do you usually time your attempt for pink, mommymachine?

With DD1 I believed in timing and so it was either O-4 or O-5. I forget with DD2 but it was either one or two attempts. I think DD3 was O-1 and O-4.

No it didn’t. It took 10 months to finally ovulate after DS3 was born, but as soon I ovulated I conceived her. However I was also only 23 years old at the time!!

Hope everyone is doing ok! Seems I’m ovulating 2-3 days early, which of course never happens. Why do this things happen when you’re TTC?!?! Oh well, I think I got my 3 attempts in, so that’s good.

Happy Mother’s Day! I’m either 7 or 9DPO, I had a massive temp jump on CD17 but then a fall on CD18 and then a rise again on CD19 so FF moved my O day to CD18 (though peak fertility Clearblue was on CD16). No unusual symptoms so far, I guess I’ll just have to wait and see around Saturday!

You’re so patient! I’m going to start testing on 7 DPO. I’m absolutely symptom spotting and seeing/feeling things that are usual in the 2 weeks before my period, but are ‘more so’. Like increased RLP and increased hunger. Also increased breast itchiness/soreness. So of course now I’m thinking I’m pregnant.

Who knows! We will see.

In all my successful pregnancies I never had implantation cramps until 9 or 10 dpo so there is no point testing before 11dpo for me I guess. When are you testing this time?

I had blood work done on 6dpo and one of the readings that came back was progesterone at 45.2, i don’t want to get too excited but that seems high! FX for a BFP in a few days for us both!!!

Holding out until Sunday to test

Increased creamy cm,sensitive nipples and hungry more than usual waking at night to eat
Feeling a tad nauseous if I don’t eat every 2 hours, can’t remember this symptom with previous pregnancys

So I tested today and there seems to the be the faintest line possible and most likely invisible to everyone else. I used first response early result. Are those known for evap lines does anyone know?

With my second son, I got the faintest possible line (basically invisible to anyone else, lol) at 9dpo on an 88¢ Walmart test, which resulted in a super faint positive result on an FRER with the same urine sample. I still have the pics saved in my phone for reference. I’d love to look at your test and compare! [emoji16]

Hmm.. I don’t really see anything there. [emoji53] I see where it SHOULD be, so my eyes might be tricking me into seeing the pink.

I pulled up my old test pics and it was darker, it was the Walmart one that was nearly invisible that I was able to get a line on the FRER with. Did you try inverting the pic? That was how I was able to see the line on the Walmart test and knew to use the FRER.

FX that it’s just a tad bit too early for you! [emoji1695]

so jealous of all you ladies who can get bfp at 9dpo i dont get anything till 12dpo at the earliest and have had some of my babies give me false negatives till after af was late.

I’ll take another one today (9 DPO). I usually get stronger positives throughout the day and not with FMU.

I’m swaying pink and have decided to do e4d this month rather than one attempt at -+OPK. My cycles have been a bit weird and I was getting all stressy about OPKs so I’ve ditched them for now!
