DIET

Did you follow a diet plan ?

Have been doing a somewhat HE diet for a long time as we kept putting off TTC

If yes to diet, which one did you most follow?

If diet was used, length of time before attempt?

At least a year 😬 gained some weight over the year but I didn’t eat way too many calories, just trying to get lots of protein with a combination of meat, eggs and nuts along with a wide range of nutritious fruits and veggies. Slightly cut back on sugar intake and I’ve never been a huge bread or pasta but ate them several times a week.

Did you skip breakfast regularly?

No, Breakfast was always one of my biggest meals. Usually eggs and fruit or oatmeal with Greek yogurt or cereal with 2% milk if I was in a rush

Did DH change his diet with you?

Not really but he ate whatever I made, he snacks a lot, mostly at night

Comments regarding DH's diet-

He regularly skipped breakfast and doesn’t always make the healthiest choices. He has a sweet tooth and was eating mostly the same as he had when we conceived last time.

DId you consume alcohol?

No

DId you try to limit caffeine?

Yes, cut back to one tea each morning

Any diet details?

I wouldn’t go to bed hungry and tried to eat first thing in the morning if I was hungry.

Any Diet Comments/Additional Info?

WEIGHT AND EXERCISE

What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O?

I weighed somewhere between 145-155. I don’t weigh myself regularly and that is how much I had fluctuated over the past year.

Any Weight/Exercise related additional info/comments?

The summer before TTC I regularly jogged, lifted weights and did a HIIT here and there.

Things that makes me feel great about my sway:

I had been taking probiotics and folate for so long and felt healthier. Husband released more often during the month that we got pregnant. 3 attempts in the window of ovulation.

Things that make me nervous about my sway:

I was in an accident 6 months before TTC and I was immobile for a very long time while recovering. As a result had significant muscle loss after working so hard at muscle building the year leading up to my accident. I tried to slowly gain muscle back as my energy would allow, and kept my diet as nutritious as possible. Ultimately we didn’t want to put off TTC any longer since we had been putting it off so long already.

This was me, and it was a successful blue sway! Baby boy is here and our family is complete. Thank you atomic for this forum and the advice! I think my biggest contributor to my sway’s success was HE diet (As nutritious as possible, had more protein, especially eggs this time around ) and the difference in supplements I used this time compared to last time were probiotics/prebiotics and double the amount of vitamin D than I took for my last sway, but I’d take half in the morning and half in the evening.
