Hi,

Week 6 of a girl sway here. My husband has been dutifully jogging several times a week to play his part, but has now injured his foot and can’t run at all (or cycle). Is it worth him doing other forms of exercise to get his heart rate up, eg pushups/sit-ups, or is it just jogging and cycling that sways rather than exercise per se?

Jogging and cycling are what has been shown in studies to sway. We don't know about other forms of exercise, and there's a gray area when it comes to musclebuilding stuff like pushups and sit ups - they have the potential to raise muscle mass, and we suspect that sways blue for DW, but aren't sure about the effect for DH. I would probably just have him do couch potato unless he's really going stir crazy.
