View Full Version : Hoping to successfully sway pink again

Hello Atomic & everyone else!

Pinching myself that after approx 5 years I’m back & once again praying and swaying for pink. We were so blessed with our DD after a successful GD sway after having two amazing boys. To be honest I thought we were 3 and done (and very content!). However God sometimes has other plans for us!! I was very recently pregnant with a surprise #4 but sadly lost the baby at 11 weeks in late May. The grief feels so great and has now planted a seed that I’d absolutely love one more baby before this mumma gets too old haha.

Of course we would feel so blessed with a healthy baby - pink or blue - but considering we will be TTC in approx 6 months time (we’re planning on selling/moving etc. first) I would love to use this time to sway pink in hopes my little girl could get a sister.

I’ve just purchased my plan (exciting!!), just not sure what/where the forms are for my personalised plan?

Very much looking forward to starting my sway and feeling like I’m working towards filling this loss I’m heartbroken about.

Bumping for Atomic. I haven’t heard from anyone since buying my plan yesterday morning so just checking in on where the forms can be found to create my plan? Thanks so much

Augh I swear to you I answered this, not seeing my reply though!!! So sorry!

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss

The questionnaires are here and I can make the plan once I have them. https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/misc.php?do=forms

Please let me know how I can help in the meantime!

Thank you so much Atomic!! I just completed 2 forms, please let me know if there's anything else you need from me. Its so funny reading back my first sway questionnaire responses compared to these ones. I was definitely more "boy mum" back then! Still a way to go to get back to pink territory but I think it will be easier this time (hopefully)!

Hi Flowergirl! Congratulations on the successful sway - do you mind sharing what you did last time? Pink dust to you! [emoji177]

Oh thank you Thirdtimelucky01! Pink dust to you too :awe: I did try and find my sway info I’d submitted when I found out it was successful but couldn’t find it! Atomic do you know where it would be?

I have some notes in my phone though of some of the things I did so I’ll add them below. I left no stone unturned and very strict with the LE diet for about 10 months by the time I feel pregnant. I’d lost probably about 7 kilos (& didn’t really have weight to lose!) and as a result also lost ovulation but was prescribed clomid which also helped my sway. I’ll add my phone notes below of the other things I did:

Prayer
Slept with window open every night which I never did
Added then replaced soy milk with rice milk of a morning (been drinking soy milk for 10 plus years)
Dropping spirulina (been taking that for at least 8 years)
Vitex, saw palmetto, folic acid, iodine, fibre.
Dad's supps & tried to cut back on red meat & eggs
1800 cals daily
Started at 57 kilos - dropped down to 50(?)
Skipped breakfast (accept when we went away 15/16th Dec but I still ate a LE choice). Never snacked.
Only ate fish once and that was when we were away 15th Dec
Stopped eating salmon and tuna which I used to eat daily
Lived off yoghurt, fruit, veg, rice mountain bread, rice (with low fat tzaziki, low fat hummus, low fat feta or Parmesan for flavour) and meringue nest for a treat every night
Added aspartame - diet drinks which I hadn't had for at least 10 years
Added some house plants
Salt lamp
Lavender essential oil on my pillow, lavender body wash & lotion
Much less detail orientated ?
Hungry most of the day

I’ll be interested to learn what is still working and what isn’t anymore!

What have you been doing so far and how long have you been swaying for? Xx

That’s really interesting, thank you! I also saw in your post 5-6 years ago that you did BD every 4 days. Would you remember if it was in a 72 or 96hr pattern? I’ve been on a diet since late 2019, had a pregnancy in January (first month trying) which I sadly lost at 7 weeks so now trying again, on my 5th cycle since miscarriage. Doing LE diet, fiber, red wine, coffee and exercise 4-6 times a week 60mins+. Did 4 months of one attempt at positive OPK, that didn’t work for me, this month I’ll start e4d in a 72hr pattern.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost at 11 weeks only 3 weeks ago so still really struggling with it. I hope it gets easier as time goes on.

Ohh to be honest I think I was relaxed about timing (as in we would BD any time of day/night on the 4th day) because we had 2 other kids and had to fit it in when we could! I was also on clomid and aware that if I didn’t fall the next step was IVF. I’ve not incorporated exercise before because I drop weight doing LE but I see it’s getting good results!!

Oh no, so sorry about your loss too! Did you get to find out the gender?

Yes, exercise is supposed to be one of the best swaying tactics! So I’m on board with that one too! :) I’m also relatively relaxed about timing but I know that if we don’t conceive naturally we will never do IVF (this is just what we decided), so I guess it is what it is - we will just keep trying and hope for the pink bundle [emoji7] I’m getting old though (I’m 38) so I don’t think I have too much time left. How old are your kids?

No, I didn’t find out the gender, I wish I knew although I wonder if it would of made it even more painful when you know because you’re even more connected then?

Hmmm I wouldn’t mind incorporating exercise although I just wonder if it will be too much for me with LE diet too  I get adrenal fatigue if I do both and lose ovulation etc. I’ll see what Atomic thinks for me.

Oh gosh tell me about it. I just turned 39! So a surprise #4 was definitely a surprise haha! My boys are 11.5 and almost 9 and my daughter is 5. The gap will be pretty big with #4 but sometimes life doesn’t always make sense / go to plan! My DD will be starting kindergarten when I’ll hopefully be pregnant next year so it might be nice to not have the guilt of being exhausted with a fourth pregnancy and children home to entertain. Trying to focus on the positives

I just want to clarify that losing ovulation from diet and exercise is not caused by adrenal fatigue but is your body's natural response to prevent you from conceiving in times where your body may be too stressed to handle a pregnancy.

Oh for sure! I’ve also lost ovulation without having adrenal fatigue and had adrenal fatigue without losing ovulation! I think adding in exercise or too much physical activity is when I get adrenal fatigue whereas losing O can happen purely on diet for me. It’s so interesting how it all works and your bodies natural response to saying “I’m at my limit!”.

I had a few miscarriages along the way and they were all early around 6-7 week mark. In a way it’s probably good that I didn’t get to know the gender because I’d be even more devastated if they were girls... my boys are 1.5 and 3 and I work full time so I’m still permanently exhausted haha - might as well just add another little one to the mix! :)

Haha yes for sure thirdtimelucky01, I think if you’re already in the rhythm and in the thick of it you won’t know any different! I on the other hand haven’t changed a nappy or breastfed for 3 years so it will be a big adjustment! I’m still really clucky now though so I think I have one more in me :XX:

You should definitely go for it then, I heard many times that you never regret having kids, the only kids you regret are the ones you didn’t have! I definitely have one more in me (maybe even two?) which is quite interesting because until I had my boys I only wanted 2! :))

I’m very sorry for your loss, I see (through your other posts) that you are struggling after your miscarriage. My heart breaks for you [emoji177]Hopefully knowing that you are going to try again will heal you a little. I know it’s easier said than done (like everyone is telling me to relax and I’ll fall pregnant - if only it was that easy to just relax!!!). But also remember that you already have your beautiful kids so you can fall pregnant again. I had two miscarriages before DS1 and I remember when I was pregnant with him I was scared to do anything at all because my every other pregnancy ended in a miscarriage! That was the longest 9 months of my life!

Aww thank you thirdtimelucky, I really needed to hear that :LotsofLove:

I am really heartbroken, I think I got attached and have had a really hard year so it’s felt quite traumatic compounded with everything else. I definitely feel better knowing there’s a possibility of having one more and think it will hopefully be healing for me and this precious baby can bring our family some much needed joy.

I can’t imagine how hard it would have been miscarrying twice before DS 1  I never knew the grief and loss until I’ve now experienced it and looking back wish I could have been there for girlfriends who’s had losses even more, you don’t really know until you go through it yourself.

Thankfully having my 3 darlings allows me to keep very busy so I can hold it all in all day and just cry when they go to sleep. I am so blessed with my 3 I have and love being a mum so much.

I can’t wait to get my sway plan now and start working towards TCC again.

Good luck with your attempts this month! I hope the e4d works for you!! :HH:

Hi Atomic, just checking if I’ve missed my personalised plan? I can’t seem to find it or are you still creating it (all good if you are!)? Thinking about adding exercise (1 hour power walks) if I eat upper limits of LE but looking forward to reading your recommendations for me. Is yoga and weights something to stay clear of when swaying pink?
Thanking you x

Yoga for relaxation purposes is ok but not the musclebuilding kind.
