hello ladies! This is my first post here, although I've been lurking these boards on and off for a few years now. DH and I have 3 wonderful boys, and would love to have a girl for our 4th (and probably last) baby. I unfortunately had a MC earlier this year at roughly 9 weeks, but not before finding out via blood test that it was a girl. 😔 Needless to say I was devastated, but held on to that small hope that at least I knew it was possible for DH and I to actually conceive a girl. I looked at what may have been different from when I conceived all 3 of my boys, and just recently when I conceived my angel DD. While our diets were only slightly changed over the years, I could only think of one major difference that may have had an effect. The fact that DH was taking certain medications which he started on a few years ago (not long after the birth of our youngest DS). DH has bipolar 1 with schizoaffective disorder, and was unmedicated for the first 10+ years of our relationship. But after having 2 terrible manic episodes within a 2 year span, he finally realized that he needed to be on meds and he needed to take them everyday, and he's doing MUCH better now. He currently takes Risperdal (an antipsychotic) which, i think i read somewhere, lowers sperm count (which sways girl). So I guess my question would be if anyone knows more about this. Do certain medications, especially those that potentially lower sperm count, actually sway girl? I apologize for the long post, but thank you to anyone who read all of this.

Yes, we believe that medications like that do sway pink.
