Hello! I had my son almost ten months ago and have been waiting for my cycle to return ever since. I had my first positive OPK today. We just DTD last night. Is this good enough for one attempt? I’ve been following a diet as best as possible- skipping breakfast until ten or 11. Drinking LOTS of coffee and soda, trying to minimize soy. I’m vegan so no meat and dairy- and also haven’t been eating out hardly at all which is a big change from when we had my son. I also am working out more cardio and less strength training. My husbands diet and routine has also had a complete 180 so I’m really hopeful. I’m still breastfeeding, my weight is basically the same as when I got pregnant with my son, only about five pounds less. Here’s to hoping!:nails:

Yes that is fine for your first attempt!! No need for another attempt this month. Hopefully it will be the only month we need!

Unfortunately I just started my period today :(. I guess I always expected my second to go so easily and instead I feel like I’m hitting every roadblock. My luteal phase was super short- 8 days. I know a lot of times a b complex can help extend it but is that bad for swaying pink? I’m not willing to sacrifice having a girl just to get pregnant. Any advice would be great, thank you so much

NOOOO!
please don't start feeling that things aren't going easily and that you're hitting roadblocks. Your baby is only 10 months old and your body is just not quite back to normal again. It is totally normal to have a short LP at this part of the post partum recovery period, especially since you're vegan and your weight is lower than it was the last time you conceived. It will likely recover over the next few months (and you can get pregnant with 8+ LP, tho 10 or more days is best)
Please do not take a B Complex. That is not necessary, doesn't work anyway 9times out of 10, and will undermine your sway.
I promise this isn't a big deal at all and nothing to panic over. :)

Thank you! I am prone to panicking 🤦🏼*♀️ So I need someone to talk me off the ledge. I think it’s just weird to me because my LP used to be like 14-16 days so this is new to me! But I’m trying to embrace it. Going to keep on my diet, which I feel like I’m doing really well with! The only supplement I take now is folate.

It will go back to normal again I promise. This is very very normal.

Back for cycle 2! Got a positive OPK today but we've just been doing Ed4 and last time was Tuesday and we weren't planning on it again until Saturday. Should I move Saturday up to tomorrow or will Tuesday be enough :) thank you!

Most people do the e4d in a pattern of Tuesday/Friday.
It's up to you, since you're just getting started. You may want to simply stick with Saturday if you want to be absolutely sure you're in with just one attempt. But I personally think DTD today would be absolutely fine and in line with the e4d method.

Thank you! Yes I know for e4d you typically have a day that's a gap of three, unless you change days every week. We picked Saturday, Tuesday just because it's better with our schedules. Thank you for your input! I think either After midnight tonight or tomorrow morning will help me feel a little better about keeping it with one attempt but still in line with OPK. 😂 trying to get this right is so confusing sometimes

I don't want anyone to change days every week, just keep going with the every 72 hour pattern, just to clarify.
Great if that is what works best for you!
