Hi!

I have been doing the pink sway for a week and a half now and am going to start TTC the end of August after I have been on the LE diet for 12 weeks. Anyone want to be my sway buddy!? We could encourage each other. :)

Let me know! :)

I’m swaying pink too, and hoping to TTC at the end of July or early August. However I may have had an oopsie this past weekend (I am breastfeeding and haven’t had a period yet, but had a positive OPK and DTD). I am doing better with the diet here lately but am mostly relying on being vegetarian again! Are you exercising? DH bought me a treadmill for my sway and I still haven’t used it

Thanks so much for your reply! That’s awesome he bought you a treadmill for your sway! I am exercising. I try to walk every night for 60 minutes but so far I have been going 5 times a week walking for 60 minutes each time. How long have you been on the diet for and what are you eating and at what times? I am breastfeeding as well my almost 10 month old son! I had my first period pp May 5th 2020 but haven’t had one since. I started the LE diet on June 8th.

That’s so great that you’ve been able to get that much walking in!! I want to so bad, time just always gets away from me! I’ve been vegetarian for a couple of years now (since before my first sway baby) but have really been focusing on making it LE the past couple weeks. I generally have lunch between 1-2 and dinner around 7pm. Ive almost gone vegan with the exception of cheese a few times a week, but mostly microwave meals and things from the Whole Foods deli (they have great delivery lol) I drink vodka and Sprite Zero at around 10pm (these are things I also did while swaying for DD). DD is 16 months and I haven’t had a period yet, so I assume I’ll have to wean to get one (I plan on waiting since I haven’t been LE long enough yet anyway). Will this be your second baby?

Oh wow you have had one successful sway already with your baby girl! That’s amazing! So you drank every night swaying for you first too. Is there anything else you did like drink coffee, Diet Coke or crystal light? Yes it’s been hard to walk for that long most nights. It’s hard to find the time when you already have a little one! This will be my fourth baby. I have three boys :) they are adorable and I would love to have a baby girl for my last one. My boys are 4, 3 and almost 10 months. I’ve been eating only whole grain bread and whole grain crackers, whole grain bagels with plain cream cheese, gluten free white pasta, veggies, fruit and cheese. Do you have any tips since you have already had a successful sway? I still have 10.5 weeks to go! It’s somewhat hard but it’s only temporary! With my boys I grazed a lot with sugary snacks, chocolate, protein, fats and carbs. I ate everything and anything and now I see I had a very boy friendly diet with all three.

And do you have just the two meals everyday? I eat at 11am, 4pm and 9pm. I haven’t been having any alcohol. That’s the only thing I have been leaving out of my sway. I drink coffee with equal, Diet Coke and lemon lime crystal light.

Awwww, they must be fun!! Yes, I only have the two meals and drink diet Dr Pepper (same as with DD). I am trying to incorporate coffee but have struggled (I did last time too). With DD I had femara and so I’m worried about not having it again (although if I do wean in time I’ll probably try to get it again, my doctor had no problem giving it to me last time). That’s great you’re getting whole grains in, Ive struggled a bit there but recently starting making wraps with whole grain tortillas and they’re pretty good! I feel like I did pretty well last time but this time is harder since I have a little one (and quarantine). I’ve lost a good portion of my baby weight and hoping that will work in my favor as I was pretty skinny before dd (about 100lbs, currently at 105.8, gained about 72 pounds with her)

DH is taking olive leaf extract (did last time too) and I’m starting to incorporate myoinositol (also did last time). With DD I used cranberry and spearmint leaf capsules.
Oh and I’m taking fiber again
Lol sorry for the fragments, just wanted to mention while I remember

Hi! Can I join too? [emoji16] I have two boys ages 7.5 and almost 4, currently swaying for a girl for #3!

I am halfway through week 7 of my sway, started May 2nd. We will start actively TTC with my first cycle in August, after I have hit 12 weeks of diet. [emoji4]

I am doing the standard LE Diet (not PCOS version), exercise, coffee, alcohol, and fiber, and will do one attempt at positive OPK (I also temp/chart too, but I have since 2011, so that is second nature to me).

I do Zumba (virtual Zumba currently due to COVID!) twice a week and then go “power walking” for 60+ min every other day of the week that I possibly can! I have gotten 6-7 days of exercise almost every week, with probably 2 weeks of only 5 days.

I do either a hard seltzer or 1 - 1.5 glasses of wine every night with dinner. I do minimum 2, sometimes 3 cups of coffee a day, in the morning while I am working. I take one fiber pill about 30 mins before each meal (I was doing more fiber but got ridiculously constipated and had to cut back! Agh).

As for the LE Diet, I started out at the higher limits, aiming for 1800cals & 50-60g fat daily, as I was afraid to lose too much and stop ovulating. I am only down about 7lbs so far at 7.5 weeks in. I have started to slowly cut back and have been between 1600-1700cals and 40-50g fat this past week (protein is not a problem, I always meet).

ALSO I do three meals a day, with a 12-14hr fast between my last meal of the day before and first meal of the day. It’s much easier for me to do 3 smaller meals, than two big 800-900cal meals.

Thanks for starting this thread!! I have seen others pop on and off the boards to ask questions while swaying pink but no real support threads! I tried to post in the most recent LE Diet meal idea threads too but they kept dying. [emoji3525] Would love to be able to talk about swaying and maybe get some meal ideas from others going through the same!

@Pretty what do you eat exactly for your two meals? I think Atomic told me femera sways for a girl better than clomid? Or do they sway girl both the same do you know? I have taken clomid to conceive my 3 boys but unknowingly had a very boy friendly diet for all 3 of them.

Absolutely hotlikemexico!! So glad you are here the more sway buddies the merrier! [emoji16] do you girls ever feel hungry or do you find it challenging in any way? I definitely miss all of my sweet treats. I definitely have a sweet tooth haha. But I’m far in enough I’m managing well and wouldn’t cheat unless I had to with an extended family dinner etc.

Here is what I eat basically every day since I started my sway 11 days ago.

9am - coffee with equal

11am - whole grain bagel with plain cream cheese (the 3.5g of fat one.) and a small bowl of fruit or vegetables.

12:30pm - glass of Diet Coke

2pm - glass of lemon lime crystal light

4pm - big plate of gluten free white pasta with small amount of Alfredo sauce and two slices of whole wheat bread. Also a piece of fruit afterwards (ex. An apple). This meal is usually 800-1000 calories.

5pm - coffee with equal

9pm - whole grain salted crackers with high fat cheese (11g of fat) and some fruit or vegetables. Sometimes I have a glass of Diet Coke with the bedtime snack.

I do my best to walk 60 minutes every evening 6 days a week but I have been doing 60 minutes walking in the evening 5 days a week so far. Aiming for at least 6 days though.

I take metimucil fibre with two meals that have fat in it but I’m going to start taking it with all the meals I think.

I take two 1000mcg folic acid tabs a day as well.

I’m breastfeeding my 9 month old son about 5 times a day.

I have not included alcohol in my diet at all due to breastfeeding my 9 month old.

Can I see exactly what you girls are doing everyday?

I typically eat this exact same thing every day, pretty boring I know.

Also I’m going to take something to induce my period once this 12 weeks of diet is over and take clomid. I don’t want to wait forever to get pregnant especially being on this girl diet.

If there is anything you girls think I should tweak, have any tips and suggestions I’m all ears!! [emoji846]

I made you a personalized sway plan that was right FOR YOU. I did not put myoinositol in that plan for some reason. if it had been right for you to use it would have been in the plan.

In one study Femara was more pink friendly. But at the same time it has also possibly been shown to produce lower rates of conception. Both Clomid and Femara are good pink sway tactics and alongside an overall pink sway (not a boy friendly diet!) give us about 3-5% better than the overall success rates.

Both two meals and 3 meals are equally acceptable. Please stick with the pattern that makes it easier on you. Some people feel stuffed on 3 meals, other people (and this is what most are doing) have a faster metabolism and need 3. I had 3 meals.

Oh yes I’m taking folate too!
I have no problem doing 2 meals, and used to do 1 (but that was basically because I worked so much I didn’t have time to eat more). The only time I get hungry is when LO wakes up in the middle of the night but I’ve been good so far hehehe.

I also eat lots of pasta but it tends to be gluten free, I try not to eat at regimented times so that I don’t start to get OCD (which is very much my personality).

Gosh I wish I could kick start my period, my doctor wants me to wean first... I really am struggling with the moral dilemma of continuing BF for about 6 months or getting femara. I’ll be 35 very soon so time isn’t my friend.

Both you ladies are so good about exercise, I really should up my game! It’s great to have the support ladies!! Thank you for the thread!

Oh for meals, a lot of microwave stuff just for convenience vegetarian options like Amy’s) and pastas for dinner. Honestly, the faux meats are so good my teenage DS has no idea that’s what we feed him hahahahaha. Beyond burgers are so easy! And ya, pretty much anything from the Whole Foods deli that’s vegetarian is great (and most of them are vegan).

@Pretty I know what you mean with trying not to be regimented. I just find it easier to follow the same or similar plan. But I am definitely okay with cheating once and awhile too. What do your cheat days look like? What do you eat? I eat lots of gluten free pasta for dinner too with whole grain bread. It’s a filling meal of carbs.

@Princesss Mom I am so very sorry! That is so so heartbreaking. I hope I can support you in some way on here.

I am also doing then pcos LE diet and going to TTC the end of August or early September. I’m going to take something to induce my period at that point and then take clomid.

What are you eating for your meals? I’m having full fat Dairy when I do eat it. Mostly whole grains, fruits and veggies and some cheese to up my daily fat intake. I’m breastfeeding too but finding I’m still only getting around 1600-1700 calories and about 40g of fat and 40g of protein so I will likely add in a hard boiled egg to get my protein up to 50-60g.

Same here!! My second meal option almost always ends up being a quick microwave thing because I just absolutely do not have the time to prepare or cook anything while I’m working. I do a lot of vegetarian options as well. One day this week I had a Sweet Earth brand Greek style burrito (frozen to microwave!) along with a pint of raspberries and a 100cal dark chocolate hummus cup. Yesterday I had a Green Giant brand Italian Style Harvest Protein bowl (also frozen to microwave!) instead of the burrito. Both delicious, quick, and easy (and vegetarian!)!

I also love the fake meats too, LOL! I could eat them all the time honestly, just for the taste. I don’t eat beef or pork under normal circumstances (don’t like the taste) so I don’t eat the fake versions of them either. I am really loving the faux chicken options, though! I eat a good amount of salads for meals and I add cut up faux chicken as my protein. I’ve been alternating between Quorn, Morningstar Farms, and Boca Burger brands. I limit the ones with soy though to only twice a week.

I’m so sorry princess mom! That’s heartbreaking!

Microwave just works so well for me and takes the guesswork out of making meals. I tend to go over in fat and under in calories though. Grrrrr!
The work situation does worry me, I was so stressed and overworked while swaying for DD but now I’m a SAHM so that aspect is very different from last time.

@hotlikemexico oh I’ll have to try that one! I love burritos!

My cheat days involve chocolate for sure! I have such a sweet tooth and definitely had a lot of chocolate last time but I’m trying to be better this time since I am wanting weight loss too. We have “fun food Friday’s” so those are always a cheat day (restaurant food, but I had those every Friday last sway too).

Regarding alcohol while breastfeeding, I’ve read a lot and as long as it’s not too much, and when baby isn’t going to nurse for the next few hours it’s ok. DD nurses around the clock but she snacks on real food a lot a night, so it works out well but I never have more than 1.5 ounces per night. FWIW, my pediatrician suggests wine and Oreos while breastfeeding before bed so that she’d be asleep when it reaches my milk and I could still relax and breastfeed longer without feeling guilty about it.

Yum! Fun food Friday’s sounds delicious! I may do that too! So do you go off the charts with calories? And not count calories, fat and protein on Fridays? Do you cheat all day or just have restaurant food as your cheat? I just don’t want to go overboard with cheating on Friday’s if you know what I mean and love to know exactly what you do.

My Friday cheat is just at dinner, and here lately I’ve been trying to save half
My meal for leftovers on Saturday but I generally just assume it’s a splurge meal and move on. I dwell on anything and everything, so for the sake of my sway I let myself have Friday nights without the guilt (for the most part lol). A big issue for me is swaycessing and I tend to get OCD and consumed by things, so the more I can let go, the better in the long run. That being said, it’s still a work in progress for me haha.
We usually have a restaurant delivered (before quarantine my husband would go get it, so it’s always at home which can sometimes make it easier) and I usually have an impossible burger and fries. Here lately
I share with the LO so I’m not getting ALLLLLLL of it. I usually try to do a light lunch to save up the calories. My last sway I had ice cream on fridays too but I’ve been trying to stay away

Sunday nights are a big dinner night too, but this is something I am working on :/

Okay so cheat meals! Under normal circumstances (aka no COVID pandemic) we would have gone almost weekly to “Food Truck Fridays” which is a local food truck event. If you know the kind of food served at food trucks, then you know most of it is not LE Diet friendly, LOL! So I would have been having one weekly cheat meal, anyway. Of course FTF can’t happen now with the pandemic and social distancing. So I have been having one cheat meal a week elsewhere instead, usually for dinner on Fridays or Saturdays. I still have my normal 12-14hr fast, and follow LE Diet for the rest of the day. I track my other meals still just to have an idea of where I’m at.

Last Saturday, I got takeout from a vegan restaurant I’ve been dying to try! I got a vegan pizza and also had a matcha latte with it. I was planning to eat the whole pizza (it was slightly bigger than personal pizza size) so instead of my normal two meals earlier in the day, I combined them into one slightly bigger meal, before I did my exercise. I was only able to eat 3/4 of the pizza anyway, eating less all the time really shrinks your stomach! My mom ended up surprising me with lobster the next day, so I ate the last piece of vegan pizza with it, enjoyed the heck out of both, and finished off my day with two regular LE style meals. [emoji4]

My fave local bakery has been doing pop up take out shops weekly (they are closed due to COVID) so I’ve been taking advantage every other week for my cheat meal! I get one or two pastries (depending on size) and have that as my cheat meal, usually with a glass of milk to wash it down. I still have two other LE style meals, though on pastry cheat days, I usually have my second meal be a salad or a “mostly free” meal such as roasted asparagus.

Honestly I find that having that one cheat meal to look forward to REALLY helps me stick with the diet the rest of the week! I actually have not cheated outside of my cheat meals at all. [emoji4] I just make sure I take my fiber before my cheat meal, enjoy it, and move on with my day! I make sure not to “starve myself” beforehand either so I don’t fall into a binge/purge cycle.

I love wheat thins! I have a couple boxes of those, and also Triscuits. I have a serving of them either topped with a slice of cheese ripped up or a laughing cow brand cheese wedge spread on them! I have these usually alongside my second meal of the day, sometimes with dinner instead.

I love whole wheat English muffins also! Lol. They are part of my first meal rotation. I’ve had them spread with a serving of goat cheese topped with sliced tomatoes or a serving of hot pepper jelly, with a serving of low fat cream cheese and a serving of watermelon jelly, or a serving of “butter” (I use Brummel & Brown spread) mixed with elote seasoning (from Trader Joe’s). I usually pair them with “yogurt” (I have So Delicious brand coconut yogurt alternative) and some fruit!

I started out 4-5 days a week with the exercise too! I worked my way up to 6-7 days. I also have two days of Zumba built in already because I’ve been doing that twice a week since January 2019. [emoji4]

It’s hard to fit in the exercise with kids! My work schedule is all over the place right now with daycare still being closed so some days I don’t even get out to go walking until after 8pm. [emoji24] I’m fortunate though that DH’s new job, he is home early, so he is able to be with the kids so I can get out and walk after I sign out.

I def struggled a bit in the beginning though LOL. I’m on week 8 now though and I haven’t had a day of no exercise in over two weeks! [emoji16] I’ve even added a few jogging intervals into my walks!

Work has been so awful and stressful lately that I’ve found I actually ENJOY getting out to exercise! I throw on some of my favorite music in my headphones, pound the pavement, and forget about everything... for an hour. [emoji4]

I do have the evenings free with my hubby home and after they all go to bed. Hot like Mexico I know what you mean how it feels good to get out. I love going out for a walk at night when it’s so warm out. It’s so good for everything!

I had a pretty cheating weekend in terms of my suppers both on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was my birthday and had the fries, gravy and Ice cream with cookie and last night when I got to my parents we had a large homemade waffle and a big sausage (I wasn’t going to have the sausage but it looked so good!). I never eat meat on this diet either so I figured once wouldn’t hurt. Anyways I had all the syrup too so I definitely went over on everything last night. I even had my “girl diet” meal before I went which was a big plate of pasta and two slices of whole grain bread and strawberries. So I was stuffed. Oh well, it was a great weekend with great cheat meals lol. Back to the diet today. I’ve cheated 3 times (on a single meal) in 2 weeks of being on the diet. But it also makes me feel like I’m not being obsessive which Atomic said not to be so that feels good. I just enjoyed it for the time being! When I’m home which is mostly everyday I’m very good to stick to the diet.

Hope you all have a great day, ladies! [emoji177]

Pretty: yay for adding in coffee! Are you not a regular coffee drinker? Personally I live on the stuff [emoji23] I always have at least two, sometimes 3 cups a day, and in the past used to drink a 32oz iced coffee daily from Dunkin LOL. That was the only “pink sway” tactic that I had going for me when both of my boys were conceived, but clearly the rest of my diet/lifestyle “outswayed” the coffee! How do you take your coffee? I make my own cold brew at home with flavored (sugar free) coffee grounds and add a splash of whole milk and splenda. Also, I’m slightly jealous that you haven’t gotten AF back yet ... I EBF both boys and AF came back at 8 months the first time and 7 months the second. [emoji24] Would have been great if we were TTC but we absolutely were not, lol! It must be frustrating not to have your cycle back when wanting to TTC though [emoji53]

Babygirl: sounds like another delicious meal though!! The same thing happened to me last weekend; I had my cheat meal on Saturday then my mom surprised me with lobster on Sunday. I did the same, said oh well, enjoyed the heck out of it, and moved on without worrying. [emoji16] it’s the overall trend of diet we are focusing on and one or two days/meals can’t do much harm! I do better on the diet at home as well. Though I also had a bite (OR FIVE!! [emoji30]) of DH’s chocolate sea salt caramel cookie from the bakery last night when he was eating it... whoops! [emoji2358] That prob put me over on fat for the day but again I say, OH WELL! It was delicious and only a couple of bites, I’m not worried. Plus I killed it on my walk/jog and made my best time (for distance) ever. I actually kept going for a total of 70mins but was so proud to beat my previous best time. [emoji16]

Hope everyone has a great day too! Tonight is a Zumba toning night for me (no muscle building, we just add “toning sticks” to the dance moves). I also got some new frozen shrimp meals to try for lunch this week while working so I’m excited for that!

I’m going to try to remember to come back later tonight and post my meals [emoji4]

Well it sounds like we all had a fun food weekend! Me included!! Back to diet today though! I’ve never been a coffee drinker so I’ve been making decaf iced coffee at home (I drink diet Dr Pepper so I don’t wanna go to crazy with caffeine while breastfeeding). I’m really hoping that the lack of a period means decreased fertility, my fear is the weaning to get the femara will give me a fertility boost that I don’t necessarily want.
For food this week, were planning on a hot dog night, burger night and taco night (all vegetarian with whole wheat options when possible) and I’ll supplement other nights with wraps, or deli foods (delivered). Lunches are pretty set with some microwave meals and maybe a wrap too.
I’m so sorry for everything your going through princess mom, I hope for a healthy and happy 9 months for you ASAP!

Thanking of you princess mom! [emoji178] I wish there was something we could say or do to help, I can only imagine how hard it must be. [emoji20] Hopefully you have your cycle back by August, maybe we could be TWW buddies then too!

And I agree with babygirl! It’s okay pretty, each day is a new day, hop back on track and don’t worry about it [emoji16]

I had two brownie cookies after dinner last night and put myself half a gram over on fat. [emoji23] Oh well! They were delicious and I actually needed the calories, as I was too low. I’m not worried about the 0.5g of fat, lol. I did tell DH that he needs to eat the rest of the cookies though so they stop tempting me! [emoji1787]

One of these days I need to find the time to sit down and type up my meals for the day! I feel like I have no time since I have to work weird hours in split shifts with daycare still being closed. I’m planning on leftovers for dinner tonight so hopefully I will have some time after that to type up my meals for today! [emoji1695]

Hope everyone has a great day! [emoji16] it’s been hot as heck here lately, I’m melting, hoping for the heat and humidity to break soon! [emoji3062]

It happens! Just regroup and move on from here. Don't try to starve yourself to make up for it, that just sets up a cycle of bingeing and purging that gets hard to break out of.

Try to keep in mind that some fluctuation is normal and doesnt mean anything. It's often just water and food in the tummy and not actual weight. :)

I'm swaying this Summer. I have one daughter and basically swayed by accident with her (ballet barre 4-6 days a week, 1200-1500 calories a day, meat as a side instead of the star of the show, light and fit yogurt with aspartame, gluten-free, crystal light between meals).

I have been largely vegetarian for two years and lost about 30lb between 2017 and early 2020. I have gained like...12lb this year thanks to an injury and prednisone. I am working on losing that and as soon as I hit 158lb (168lb now) I will be trying with one attempt. Exercise is hard as I have an injury but I am trying to do 30m of cycling a day on our Peloton if I can. I also take Adderall (about to switch to Ritalin as that is viewed as safe for pregnancy now) which is different to last time but apparently sways pink.

Husband is doing nothing haha.

Pretty I inverted it for you real quick - I can see where the line is SUPPOSED to be, but I do not see any of the inverted color there. So, I think this is mostly likely an evap. I had a crazy squinter on a Walmart test with DS2 at 9DPO (looked like an evap) but I was able to see the color when I inverted it, and then was able to pull a line on an FRER with the same urine sample. Definitely do still take an FRER when they come in though!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200624/17ddb9018fae4542d50775b1a32d499e.jpg

What are you doing for exercise?

I have been doing the 60min daily or almost daily, no problem. I am also very fortunate that DH is home relatively early form his new job, so I am able to have the time to get the exercise in.

I do Zumba classes (virtual right now due to the pandemic) twice a week, which I have been doing anyway since January 2019. The rest of the week I go for a walk/jog for 60-70 mins, as long as it is not raining.

Are you having trouble finding the free time? Or actually making it through the full 60min?

For me it’s that while my husband is working from home during Shelter in Place he’s an executive on calls basically 7-7 and my daughter is a handful. I also have a SI injury and a herniated neck disk (I know I’m a mess) so high impact isn’t really on the table. We have a Peloton so I’m going to try out some of the low impact rides and their low impact cardio routines. I wish we’d just bought an elliptical 🙄

Could you possibly go walking after he is off work at 7pm while he stays with DD? These last couple of weeks I’ve been working until either 630 or 7pm. My DH is home from work before then so he takes care of dinner and getting the kids ready/to bed so that I can go out walking after I sign out. Some nights, by the time I finish getting ready, leave, and get to where I go walking, it’s almost 8pm! But sunset here right now is 830pm and it’s still relatively light after that, plus street lights etc (I go walking in a well lit, populated, main area, with 24hr stores etc in the route). Last weekend I also went walking around my own neighborhood from 9-1015pm, after the kids were in bed, because it was too damn hot to go during the day! Even from 9-10 it was like 75° still. Anyway, my point is, are you able to do something similar? Would DH be on board with you walking after he gets off work, so that you can get the full 60mins in? From what I understand it’s the 60min aspect that’s important ... I believe because the body stars burning stored fat after 45mins? I think that’s what I’ve read.

Also, I’m sorry about the back issues [emoji30] I have a bulging disc at L5-S1 and was an absolute mess for a year as well to the point of not being able to walk [emoji3525] I ended up with a steroid injection finally and it was a miracle worker, thank the universe, it will be two years next month and all is well *knock on wood* [emoji23] My neurosurgeon actually told me that exercise is the best measure to prevent recurrence, funny enough! What exactly is your SI injury? Are you able to go walking? It’s pretty low impact but still good for swaying! Although I’m sure low impact on the Peloton will be good too! Jealous of the Peloton btw... [emoji28]

I’m not entirely sure of the difference either. What I remember reading is that if you have the MTHFR gene mutation you NEED folate, but beyond that I’m not sure if it matters.

This is what I have, I take 3 a day for a total of 1200mcg* folic acid. It was maybe $2 at Walmart:

Folate is best if you can afford it and anyone with MTHFR or blood clotting disorders should ONLY take folate.

The majority of people can handle folic acid just fine (but can still take folate if they want)

babygirl1

I take 1000 mcg of folic acid daily, so one tab.

Okay ladies I’m about to drop a truth bomb... I’m sorry this isn’t a positive post.

I’m very over this diet/exercise routine (but definitely more so the diet). I find that I’m moody with my three kids who are only 4 years old, 3 years old and 10 months old and I’m just tired all around of being on this picky and depriving diet. I love chocolate, snacks, treats and I’m just over it. I will have been on it for 3 weeks in a couple days. But at the same time, I’m desperate to try for a girl. But man, this is hard! I feel like I may need to do a cheat meal once a week for sure just to get me through these next 9 weeks. I’m trying so hard to enjoy the summer and this time with my kids but it’s been hard. There was a lady that recently had a successful girl sway and said she had a cheat day/meal once a week otherwise she would have never survived on the diet. That’s how I’m feeling. Yet I want to try for a girl so badly. [emoji24][emoji26]

Pretty: Thank you so much. I appreciate what you said! I’m looking forward to it getting easier. You did a cheat meal every Friday now when you did your girl sway and got your girl right? I was thinking fries and gravy and a warmed stuffed chocolate chip cookie with ice cream again tomorrow night for supper. [emoji1786] just to get my sugar fix and I figure leaving meat out and keeping it vegetarian isn’t horribly bad. I might be a bit too OCD as well thinking one cheat meal a week isn’t good. But if it helps me stay on this girl diet then it hopefully is okay. I’m very good all the other days... a lot of times I’m a bit under in fat and protein. Usually around 45g for each one and about 1700 calories or so a day. But like, just sooo starving it feels like. Likely because I’m breastfeeding too.

If you are breastfeeding you need to be on 50-60 g protein and fat and 1800-2000 cals MINIMUM anyway(plus being that low in fat and protein is not allowed on the alternate diet because you need to be eating that much fat and protein to ensure you are not eating too many carbs) That is why you're hungry and feeling unpleasant most likely.

Atomic: okay I will aim for that. I’m sure the diet will feel so much better and attainable with 1800-2000 cal and 50-60g of protein and fat. I think I am carb heavy with the diet too (whole grains and gluten free pasta only) as I eat mostly whole grains with just small portions of fruit and veggies and dairy (cheese). Too much while grains is not good? I’m going to add hard boiled eggs this week something else I can get fat from. I ate a lot of natural peanut butter last week and can get a lot of fat from that. I really enjoy peanut butter and the natural stuff is really low in sugar.

Last night I had my weekly cheat meal and had fries and gravy and a warmed stuffed cookie with ice cream again. It’s my go to cheat meal if I need one. I had a light lunch to prepare for it and the awesome thing is I stayed within the limits even with the cheat meal [emoji846]

Babygirl what about adding some more cheese? You said “small portions of cheese” so I’m thinking maybe you’re having less than a serving size? Two of my dinner staples that I have on rotation are pasta/sauce/cheese and refried beans & cheese in a soft tortilla. I have a bunch of different kind of shredded cheese at home, a serving size of each is always 1/4 cup and they have a decent amount of fat. Depending on my fat total for the day sometimes I do 1.5 servings of cheese if I need more, or half a serving if I need less. Same thing with the protein too, cheese is another good source [emoji4]

Just a suggestion of course!

As long as you are eating enough protein and fat, you can't be too carb heavy (unless you had severe PCOS). When you eat more protein and fat you are cutting carbs by default since you're getting more cals from protein and fat and fewer carbs.

:agree: eggs and peanut butter can be good ways to get fat and protein.

Most of the time you DO keep in the limits with cheat meals! Taht's one of the biggest reasons not to fear them!! You end up having what you're craving and have stayed in the limits too!

I took them 3x week when I conceived my DD. I’m in a huge depression where I can’t even focus on my kids. I’m so upset I am trying to make myself happy but it isn’t working. I’ve stuck to being vegetarian but I’m either way above or way Below limits. I’m debating whether or not to exercise since work when my cycles will return.

Thanks hotlikemexico for the suggestion! I agree cheese is a great source of fat. I will add that or natural peanut if I need a little more. Yesterday I did better and had 56g of protein and 48g of fat and still 1700 calories. So I just need to bump up my fat a little. I honestly felt so much better just bumping them both up a bit. I will continue to aim between 50-60g of fat though! Even peanut butter on a whole grain rice cake would do the trick or a little cheese and crackers.

We only have two and the thought of three kids is honestly a bit terrifying, even though we are actively swaying... [emoji28] DS2 will be 4 a month from tomorrow and he is soooo high energy. Lol. The funny thing is, he has been asking for a baby sister for months, all on his own [emoji23]

Any advice on going from 2-3? [emoji16]

I have been breaking out as well, all along my jawline, driving me nuts!! I think it is from the hormones though, and not the exercise. I always used to break out along my jawline anyway with my cycles, until I got the IUD and that cleared it up. Definitely hormonal, at least for me [emoji30]

BUT, I do have a bit of a routine - I use and exfoliating facial cleansing wipe right before I exercise to make sure there’s no dirt/oil/makeup sitting on my face before I start. And of course I sweat while exercising too (the heat and humidity certainly don’t help!) so as soon as I finish I shower and wash my face. I also use Aveeno face lotion that has salicylic acid in it which helps get rid of the zits without trying out my face.

Why panicking about hormone levels?

I hope your cycle returns soon princess mom!

I’ve always had signs of high testosterone and I’m worried about that correlation to the new breakouts. I haven’t been sweating (I just walk on the treadmills indoors and my husband keeps the house frigid) but the breakouts are definitely sudden (I always had acne before this pregnancy and I assume they’ve stayed at bay because of breastfeeding). I’m also just generally stressed about this sway.

I’m pretty sure this will be my last so it seems like I will max out at 3, but DS is 16, so I basically have two only children lol

Hi ladies, how’s everyone doing?

We have a three day weekend thanks to the holiday tomorrow! My parents are taking the boys overnight tonight [emoji33] We have rooftop dinner reservations in Providence tonight, I’m so excited! We haven’t had a date night or gone to dinner since Valentine’s Day, thanks to the pandemic.

Sooo tonight is my cheat meal, obviously, LOL. I’m gonna have a mixed drink, we’re going to split an artisan charcuterie board, and I’m going to have shrimp and pesto pizza for my entree. We might split dessert, not sure yet, depends how full we are [emoji23]

I just had a salad for my first meal of the day, very filling but not too crazy in fat and protein since I’ll be having my cheat meal for dinner! I had garden salad mix (iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots, and radicchio), added a small chopped Roma tomato, with one spicy Quorn meatless chicken patty (soy free also), and a serving of light blue cheese dressing and half a serving of Asiago & pepper jack cheese crisps for crunch. [emoji16] That will definitely hold me over until dinner!

Now I’m getting ready to get my daily walk/jog in. Not looking forward to it since I’m pretty full from the salad [emoji28] but once I get started I’ll be fine.

Super excited for a kid free night tonight! ALTHOUGH today is CD2 for me and I’ve got full blown AF going on. So that’s great timing [emoji1787] we are prob gonna get a few episodes of our show in uninterrupted though after dinner, so that will also be awesome!

How’s everyone’s day going? What are you up to? What are you eating? How’s the exercising going?

I love having a big fam, praying for a May baby, I know I’ll handle it fine n I’m tryin to potty train my youngest plus three of my kids will be in school. It’s sooo hard not to swaycess! It’s my entire personality to get totally into things like this... agh. Work is helping to distract me during the day, and at night when the kids are in bed we’ve been working our way through our Netflix show list. Anything to take my mind off my sway. I keep track of my food totals in a notebook instead of in an app on my phone so that I don’t have constant access, otherwise I’d be looking at it continuously, lol!

Hot like Mexico sounds like a great date night!! And so nice for your parents to take your kids overnight! Wow! That must be amazing! Hi old are your kids?

Today I had a great day with my family! It is my oldest boys 5th birthday! With that being said you can guess I definitely cheated today! And yesterday [emoji2358] annnnd the day before.[emoji2358][emoji2358] Tuesday I was at my parents and had a hot dog and a couple ice cream cones. Yesterday I had McDonald’s and had fries and gravy and a hot fudge sundae with peanuts. Today I had fries and gravy and a large hot sundae with peanuts (guess I really love fries and sundaes for cheat meals! [emoji23]) and today I also had a piece of my sons birrhday cake with peanut m&m’s. So three cheat meals this week plus cake later in the evening and I’m on pace to exercise 4 times this week. Not my week at all! I’ve been a bad girl but I
will get back on track. Anyways I’m not feeling great after all the cheating this week but my sons birthday was today and it was so worth it. [emoji3590]

Today I would have went over on most if not all things and didn’t bother counting anything. Ugh. Just trying not to beat myself up over it!

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through princess mom. You can’t see the rainbow in the middle of the storm but it WILL BE THERE. I read in another one of your posts that you find comfort in prayer which is wonderful, a very smart friend of mine once said if God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. And you WILL get through this.
An exercise I do, depending on the subject matter, is this: for 5 minutes allow yourself to be sad. Avoiding thoughts and running from emotions is exhausting. Your pain is real and deserves to be acknowledged and respected but only for 5 minutes. You’re time is precious. Set a timer. For those 5 minutes allow yourself to cry, be angry, be sad. Feel all the things. When the time goes off, take some deep breaths. Wash your hands and face, watch the pain and tears and snot and bubbles go down the drain. Feel them go down the drain. Dry yourself off and take a few more deep breaths. Know that the pain is no longer trying to get you, that it’s no longer competing for that space in your head and heart and fill it with joy. Think of your kids, their smiles. The funny faces they make and those cute quirks that make you laugh. Let yourself be overcome with relief and joy. I find that if I allow myself to acknowledge pain or anger but take control, eventually it stops trying to control me, my thoughts and my time. 5 minutes become 3, then 1 and then I just have a thought that I can acknowledge and let go of. I hope this works for you but if I doesn’t that’s ok!! You WILL get through this, you just need to find a path that works best for you.

Can i join too? I started my sway PCOS) last week and for now its going great!
I'm more relaxed than last sway (had a boy after swaying for a girl) because I don't count anything now. Last time I was way too much counting everything that I became obsessive about it. I feel good about what I am doing now and that makes me feel great. It gives my the feeling of changing my lifestyle rather that doing een girl diet. Hopefully this will help me to get my daughter. I am not going to get my hopes up too hard that it will work and i also set mind to it that Its going to be a boy again . I would not mind at all being a boy again but it does not alter the fact that I will also be sad that I will never have a daughter.

And Princess Mom I am totally the girl who could eat cookies for dinner too! I can hardly wait to eat snacks and treats again after this girl diet!

My diet wasn’t great last week either but it’s a new week. Yesterday I had a cheat meal (and trying for that to be my only one this week). I had a hamburger and chips. I typically always stay away from meat but was with family. Last week I had like 3 or 4 cheat meals and 3 exercise days. This week aiming for 1 cheat meal and 6 exercise days. I still stuck within the limits on the one cheat meal I had. Last week I was outside the limits on one or two days.

I’m hoping I’m not swaycessing although it is hard to not count everything. I count everything everyday because I want to make sure I’m within the limits. Does everyone else? Is that too obsessive?

Just to clarify that is especially when it comes to dairy! NO SKIM DAIRY on the LE PCOS type diet. And a ton of foods that are low fat or fat free have gobs of added sugar so you are usually better off having full fat in other stuff too.

With my previous sway i did LE and now PCOS. So i made a list of what i did then and what i am doing now
First sway:
LE diet, cheatmeal once a week, sometimes some sweets after diner, no alcohol, excersise 5-6/ week, no meat, coffee, soy yoghurt.

My sway now: (started a week ago)
PCOS diet
- alcohol 4 days a week
- chicken once week
-1 or 2 eggs a week
- coffee
- only full fat diary, for cheese a take regular cheese and not light cheese. If I use cream in my food I don’t use light cream ect
- i use whole grain products for wraps, pasta, rice and Bread. I even Made a whole grain pizza last weekend and it was delicious) I don’t eat much patato ( once a week).
- I’m going to start excersise 6-7 days a week.

I try not to have a cheatmeal too much. Only when it’s my birthday at the end of this month i’m going to cheat and don’t going to feel bad about it and enjoying it. So just on accasions

Princess Mom thanks for your encouragement. I have 3 boys that are 5, 3 and almost 1. We will start TTC for our last baby the very end of August after I have been on this diet for 12 weeks.
How many kids do you have?

Hope your sway sounds great! I also don’t have anything that’s fat free or low fat. I don’t eat much dairy, basically only cheese and some Alfredo pasta sauce for my gluten free pasta I normally have for dinner. The cheese has 11g of fat and pasta sauce has 3.5g of fat, so nothing “light.” If I have cream cheese with my bagel I get the regular one with the fat in it and not the low fat one.

Does anyone here take clomid when TTC?

That’s great you are getting a get away princess mom! We contemplated doing that as well but there just aren’t any great places nearby. DH works from home, I’m a sahm, and DS hasn’t started school yet so we’re all home, allllllllll the time. Lord help me.
Is anyone worried about the seasonal effect while TTC? My son was conceived during a “boy month” and dd was conceived during a “girl month” so I’m pretty nervous to TTC during a boy month again. I am still hoping to get femara if I can ever get a period (I have some saved from last time, but at this point it’s two years old) and I actually don’t mind being monitored so that I know which ovary I ovulate from (I know there isn’t a definite left/right girl/boy but it has worked out for me)

Pretty I was thinking if I don’t get my period after 12 weeks on this diet I will take something to induce it and then take clomid. You could always take provera to induce it.

You ladies are such young, hip moms! I had my first baby at 29 so I don’t get the whole “I look like my sons sister” lol. I just turned 34 a few weeks ago.

Is counting everything swaycessing? I don’t really know. I’m not all consumed with it but I am definitely mindful of it everyday and most days count everything at the end of the day to

I didn’t even know the season thing was “a thing” ? What seasons equal what supposedly? I’m not worried about that for sure. DS1 was born in December and I got pregnant with him in early April; DS2 was born in August and I got pregnant with him in early November. Two totally opposite seasons and still two boys, lol.

I don’t consider keeping track of totals to be swaycessing really. I track with pen & paper rather than an app and that helps keep it “out of my mind” I guess because it’s not available at my fingertips 24/7 for me to constantly look at, like it would be if it were on an app in my phone. I’ve found that most days I actually have to ADD things in to meet the minimums. I’m afraid that if I stop tracking I’ll end up cutting back TOO much [emoji28]

In the meantime I’m praying about it all and for my sway because after I do all the work ultimately it’s in God’s hands. I’m in need of His grace! He is the One who is in control. I will be praying for all you ladies as well that you are able to have the desires of your hearts. It is such a blessing to be on this journey with you all, even in the hard times. And what a blessing it is to have Atomics amazing guidance - wow! You are all a God send for me! [emoji177]

Agreed! I would so love a May baby! You have time while the kids are still in school (assuming they go back to school this year [emoji51]) to hang out and bond with baby for a month or so before they’re back home for the summer.

I have one winter baby (Dec 19 so actually a Christmas baby LOL) and one summer baby (August 4th - can’t believe he’ll be 4yo in less than a month! [emoji30]). With DS2 it suuuuucked being pregnant through the summer, LOL. His due date was actually August 12th but I’m glad I didn’t have to go that much longer being hugely pregnant in the heat!

At this point I think a late spring due date would be awesome lol [emoji16] A nice middle ground between my winter and summer babies haha

Hi ladies!! I’m actually considering holding off on TTC, but I wanted to ask everyone. Since I’ve started working out I’ve noticed some vaginal itching, I’m not sure if it’s chafing or a yeast infection as I’ve never had one... anyone have any experience? TIA!

why considering holding off? Just curious!

Unfortunately I have had many a YI, so I’ve got much experience there (so jealous you’ve never had one LOL). The itching can be mild at first but left untreated becomes unbearable, like “wanting to take a rake to my vagina” unbearable. [emoji24] The thing wirh YIs though, is you will def have the discharge. I’ve seen it described as “cottage cheese - like” discharge online. Idk that I would go that far, but it is definitely clumpy white discharge beyond what your normal discharge is like. It there’s no accompanying discharge I would say maybe chafing rather than a YI?

Thank you! Great info!! Everything I read mentions discharge too, and since I actually feel quite dry I am thinking maybe chafing but the itch is so bad a rake sounds amazing!! My doctor called in an anti fungal that is just two pills, so I think I’ll take it just in case (I’d hate to assume it’s just chafing and then have a yeast infection get outta hand) but it’s probably gonna come back to bite me lol.

Here is why I am thinking about waiting(link below)I still don’t have a period, but I just keep thinking if I wait a few extra weeks, maybe I’ll be more confident and have more time to diet and exercise (I’ve actually been doing great exercising every day)

Do you have a little boy? That is exciting about TTC in September for a little girl. My husband and I are also going to start ttc the end of August beginning of September. We have 3 little boys and are swaying for a girl for our fourth and last baby. Are you doing the PCOS le diet? That’s the one I’m doing and almost finishing week 6 of it.

Hi all, I had my appointment with my fertility dokter yesterday. And I probably won’t get clomid so i felt dissapointed. I hoped to get it for my pink sway. She saw a cyste on the scar of my caesarean and wonder what it could be. I was diagnosed with endometriosis a few years ago but they removed it during a laparoscopy. They said that it couldn’t come back. But I thought it couldn’t be cured? Would the cyste mean that the endometriosis is back? Well I just have to wait until I had my bloodwork and hysteroscopy done.

I’m so sorry :( did u ask doctor? I haven’t heard of that before. I’m sure if it was something serious she would say but only way is hysteroscopy. That shouldn’t interfere with ovulation?

My Mom told my sisters and me today she went to doctor and been experiencing issues and has to rule out cancer cervical, pelvic, colon cancer she most likely has something up with her colon. Now I’m all paranoid and feel horrible for feeling sorry for myself now my heart and mind is just on my Mom. Most likely she has a fistula, first time I’ve ever heard of this. 2020 just sucks

2nd- that’s great news about your appt, spotting and bbt dropping! Hopefully this is the start of AF for you so you can get going with TTC again! [emoji1695][emoji1695]

Hi everyone!!! I'm swaying and hope to TTC a baby girl in September/October:)
I swayed last November but had a miscarriage in January and April so I took a break and I'm back at it now with the help of doctors this time :)
I have 2 boys, 5 and 3.
I eat... around 12 I'll have a sandwich that's either peanut butter or eggs or turkey with hummus and cucumber then around 3 I'll have a yogurt and apple and then around 6/7 I have a chicken wrap with a soup.
I ate this almost everydag so I'd live some new ideas on what you're eating so I can hopefully switch it up this gone around. I am doing the alternate diet with limits at 60g. Nice to meet everyone :)

What are you ladies thinking of doing regarding frequency?
I dont quite understand all the abbreviations hihi.

I have read about frequent release from AF (what does that stand for?) and then 7-10 days in a row and then one attempt at positive OPK...

Can someone explain it to me what their plans are regarding frequency with the full out terms instead of the abbreviations?

Proud mom frequency I’m not even sure the whole situation pretty sure it’s BD daily , I will just be BD “baby dance” every 3 days

atomic sagebrush
July 19th, 2020, 03:21 PM
No, FR is not BD (baby dancing, aka having sex) daily. FR is having your husband release once, on his own or with you, with a condom or other protection, 7-10 days in a row before having ONE attempt.

BD daily is a great way to get a boy. Please no one BD daily unless you are using protection.

You guys, please start your own threads for these kinds of questions so I can reply to them. I can't keep up with support threads and then people with good intentions give misleading answers without intending to. I am happy to answer all the questions you guys have it's just hard for me in threads where lots of people are talking all at once.

ProudMom90

I dont want to make it harder for you, given how much time and effort you put into answering everything. I was hoping someone else in this thread could help me out a little so you wouldnt have to (guess it worked out otherwise, sorry!) the link is useful! Thank you, now I understand a lot more LOL.
My husband actually said today that he would like to help me TTC girl but only with the frequency of BD.
I will post my specific question in a new thread, only for that question :)
Im still figuring out how this website works and at the same time I was also just curious as to what the other ladies are planning on doing, just because there are different ways on frequency.

Again sorry,

Emily

No one needs to apologize, no one did anything wrong, I just want to be sure you guys all get your questions answered to the best of my ability and the support threads are great, but just harder for me to read and reply to. :)

It is actually much, much easier for me to just answer questions in the first place rather than hunt down inaccurate info after the fact. It's absolutely fine for you guys to come together and compare notes, of course - but when there's a question I do want to reply to it since I answer all questions asked of me! :)

Hi there!

I've been reading this post, and i think it's the motivation I need!

I have 3 boys (littlest DS only 3 months and half) and I'm longing for a baby girl. I had quite bad gender disappointment with my last, i think that it had more to do with the fact that it was a surprise baby and everything was out of my control (new job position, the baby...) - everything very blue friendly, right?!
I'm so in love with my little boy, he's so smiley and easy that he makes it very difficult not wanting to have another baby.

I'd love a gap starting at about 18 months - although i think a 2 year gap has worked really well for us - so that means we should start TTC at around xmas time. I still have plenty time to start the sway but i'm trying to adjust my habits a little bit.

For now, I'm not snacking between meals most of days. I'm doing really well in the mornings, but i still find it harder in afternoons some days. As I'm exclusively breastfeeding, i'm not being very strict, because there's been a few days that i've felt like if i had a black hole in my stomach. I'm 5kg over my pre-pregnancy weight (i'll miss the ones that went to my breasts), so i have enough there to loose. I tend to slim down really fast breastfeeding, but with all the covid s**t we're not moving so much and i'm missing the long walks.

I'm also trying to avoid meat or fish as much as I can. I want to become a vegetarian, but i'm worried about my children's nutrition and I have to find recipes to cover their protein and iron needs. We have chicken like once or twice a week, and maybe some hake or salmon once a week too. We rarely have red meat and i'm finding texturised soya to be a very good alternative to mince.

My big deal are cereals. I'm a big cereal and porridge fan, so around september or october i'll try to stop eating them or limit to the ones that are not fortified for a cheat.

Exercise wise, i'm starting to go back to walking-running and cycling on a roller (my DH uses it to train for his mountain bike), but i find it really hard to get more than 2-3 days a week for now. We're still adjusting to this new routine and with the heat it's not easy either. Also DH has being doing extra-hours at work so our "me" time as been nearly non-existent.

Looking forward to see how you all do, you all look really motivated!
Sorry about the lenght of the post!
Pink dust to all of you xxx

No need to start diet so much out because then you will get irritated about it lol. Exercising has got amazing results I would totally stick to it and starting practicing the diet. With my successful sway, I cooked whatever I usually would make and just ate the sides. I wish you the best, once you get on the LE it gets easy to stick to it’s really not that difficult. Only thing that is hard for me is I rather eat candy or a donut than an actual meal haha. I don’t care to eat fruits and veggies either. I think that age gap is perfect. My first two are only 16 months apart, so everything they do is together. Reason why I waited I was younger when I had them two. I’m praying for one more

Princess mom- no way, you’re going to school for coding?! How cool! In two weeks from yesterday I will have been a coder for six years already [emoji16] I love it! Don’t get me wrong, it has its own share of stresses and annoyances like any other job, but overall I enjoy what I do. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask! [emoji4] ALSO I thought of you earlier this week, I coded another fistula repair! Easy and no problems. Thinking of you and your mom and hopefully her situation is just as simple [emoji4]

Also, no idea about those FRERs? That’s weird! Maybe it was just more concentrated urine? Either way yay for AF! CD1 for me should be early next week, we will almost be on the same cycle, so cool! [emoji16]

Hi there!

Babygirl1 i want to try the PCOS as I want to stay away from sugar and i think it’s a “healthier” diet, but i will cheat once a week for sure lol.

I’m being terrible lately. I know I’m not seriously dieting as I’m not officially swaying yet, but I’m getting annoyed with myself as I’m not getting my pre-baby body back, it’s like if my will power as flown away after having DS3. I think i was better at 2 months postpartum than now at nearly 4. Last week at least i managed to run 3 days and had a little swim in the pool. DH not working some much from this week onwards so that will help. But i really need to cutdown my food intake at night, when the boys go to sleep is when i get into the kitchen and start picking from here and there... as it’s Monday lets see if I can get a fresh start and manage to move a bit more.

Just wondering. Do you have a room for each of your children? It’s a fact that we’ve been discussing. DH says we can’t have another child in this house, that we should move to a bigger place. We can’t afford that option as our flat is very well situated and we pay a very affordable mortgage, that would double up if we move. So I’ve been playing on my IPad and our floor plan to redistribute our bedroom to get and extra one. Right now we have 3 bedrooms, so if we add a #4 to our family there could be 2 in each room. But my thoughts are a bit confronted, because as teenagers maybe they will need that individual space, so adding an extra room, even if it’s little, could help to get them 2 individuals and the one left to share. Our room would be tight, but we just use it to sleep so...

I had been doing PCOS but haven’t been doing as well since I started working out. Also, because I think I’m pushing my timeline back a bit I have been less motivated to eat well, but I’ve been exercising daily!

I’m sure sharing bedrooms is easier with same gender children, we’re very fortunate that my kids have their own rooms but I think if teenagers can have their owns rooms it’s helpful. In part, with school work and studying, a nice quiet space benefits everyone in the house (including parents)

Lulilla - I just wanted to chime in here to tell you to not worry if you're struggling only 4 months postpartum. It's a little harder after every pregnancy to get back in shape, just give it time.

I also wanted to mention that there is plenty of time between now and when you have teens. Let's say you start off with them sharing a room, and then in time you decide it would be better to have more space, and you can make the change then. We boy moms are such planners that we want to have our lives arranged for the next several decades LOL but it's ok to leave things up in the air and solve them later on. :)

Hello everyone! Wanted to update that I had my hysteroscopy today and everything was normal. When I had an ultrasound they saw a cyste on the scar of my caesarean but when they did my hysteroscopy the scar looked normal. So probably the cyste is on the outside of my uterus. I called the office today to ask to speak the dokter about it but I have to wait until oktober when I have my appointment to ask her. I have to wait longer then I hoped For before I can start trying for my third child.

Hi all, I’d love to join!

Pretty I have a boy and girl, too, and I swayed for my daughter. Or well... I swayed to start then got impatient and chucked it all ha!

We’re TTCing our last baby and i so badly want another girl. DS is my oldest, nearly 5, DD nearly 2.

I’m attempting LE but it’s quite hard for me. We are mostly vegetarian though so I’m hoping that helps. Doing 1 attempt at +OPK and drinking a glass of wine more regularly than normal. We don’t get pregnant super fast so I’m trying to balance overall fertility and swaying. When I work out too much my cycle goes so crazy! We are also in the south so it’s quite hot and DH loves to cycle... so we already have that going on

Can’t wait to catch up on this thread but so excited to have some buddies going through this with me. I need all the diet encouragement I can get! I’m a recipe blogger for work and just finished my Christmas and holiday content, on to healthy January. Maybe that will help

Welcome to all the new ladies! How exciting to have you all going through the same thing! When I started my sway back in May I felt like I was alone here swaying for a girl LOL. So happy for some buddies!

Pretty I’m sorry about the chafing! [emoji3525] What type of exercise are you doing? I do mostly walking/jogging. I have had to adopt DH’s big basketball shorts which are wide legged and go down to my knees, and no lie I freeball it (no underwear) when I go jogging LOL. It’s so hot here and all the sweat combined with underwear was just a disaster down there!!! [emoji51] at least the wide leg shorts and no undies lets it air out until I can get up to the shower. I also use Summer’s Eve wash afterwards (I got the special active one). I’m super prone to infections though and the wash is def not necessary for everyone but I’ve been using it for years and it helps me. Not sure if any of that would help for you too but just wanted to mention!

Melewen what are you struggling with on the LE diet? When I first looked up swaying I thought the LE diet would be crazy hard for me also but here I am three months later and doing well! I am
Mostly vegetation as well, always have been, I only eat chicken and shellfish due to taste preferences. No beef/pork/red meat/fish ever because I don’t like them. Once I got the hang of the diet it was actually pretty easy! What specifically are you struggling with? Maybe we can help out wirh some suggestions! Are you doing standard LE or PCOS version?

So I’m doing a split shift at work today so I FINALLY have a couple minutes to sit down and type, so figured I could update on me [emoji16]

I am almost done with week THIRTEEN of my sway! [emoji33] I can’t believe how fast it’s gone! Saturday August 1st will be the start of week 14 for me. I’m doing the standard LE diet (not PCOS), 12-16hr fast daily, no snacking, 60min cardio exercise 6-7 times per week, and fiber, coffee, and alcohol. As of last Saturday July 25th, the first day of week 13, I had lost 11.5lbs. [emoji1316]

Today is CD3 for me and we are F I N A L L Y going to start actively TTC this cycle!! [emoji2956][emoji2956] I’m so excited/scared/happy/nervous all in one. [emoji28] I can’t believe it’s finally here!

To complicate matters though... we are leaving on Saturday August 1st (CD5) to go down the Cape (Cape Cod, the “arm” of Massachusetts for those in the US) for a whole WEEEK. And WITH my parents. Covid ruined everyone’s summer vacations so my mom said SCREW IT and rented a house for a week, 1.8 miles from the beach, and we are all staying there!! The four of us, plus my
Parents, plus my sister for half the week.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m SUPER excited for vacation! Plus it’s DS2’s 4th birthday on August 4th so we will be celebrating that. BUUUUT I’m going to start OPK’s on CD8 just in case because I O’d on CD12 last cycle and almost missed my positive! But if we are going to be at the beach ... I have no idea how I’m going to do OPK’s, haha. I’m going to have to take them at dinner time instead on days when we’re at the beach [emoji3525] I’m hoping they will be negative anyway and that I won’t actually ovulate until CD13 or later, because we will be back from vacation by then. We are going to do one attempt at first positive OPK so also the thought of possibly having to do that one attempt in a beach vacation house shared with my parents (separate rooms but still) is not something I’m hoping for... [emoji51]

Is anyone else getting ready to TTC soon as well? Or are you all still mid sway? Princess mom I think you are TTC now also right? Hopefully for some TWW buddies too in about two weeks! [emoji16]

Also I keep forgetting to ask - does anyone else temp/chart and want to share? I love chart stalking, lol! My link is in my signature, not sure if anyone else’s is too but I’m mostly on Tapatalk and can’t see signatures (never have time to sit down at the laptop! [emoji30]). Here’s my chart link also if anyone wants to look!

(Hopefully it works)

Congrats hotlikemexico! That’s so exciting!! I wish I could be TWW buddies, still no period. Getting really down about it. I’ve been weaning as much as possible but it seems like I’ll have to stop breastfeeding to get a cycle. I’m using the exact same body wash, but I will try wearing a skirt or something to get my miles in since I’m just using a treadmill.

Diet hasn’t been great still.... just so unmotivated without a period.

That sounds so exciting and your sway looks really good!!

I can understand ALL of your feelings: so happy to finally be ready to TTC, wondering when you get pg, if the swaying worked and so on. I hope you will conceive a beautiful DD soon! What does TWW mean by the way (LOL)

I also have a BBT chart if you would like to chart stalk:wink:

Yesss! I need suggestions. I just am not used to limiting protein or fat. Mainly fat that gets me. I am mostly vegetarian anyway but limiting fat is just sooo hard for me! I'm a healthy recipes blogger and I preach all the time to not worry about fat, ha!! And then I make a lot of keto recipes too...... otherwise, being veg and not eating loads of protein is not so hard for me. I've lost about 20 pounds since before I stopped weaning, about a year after having my daughter, and a lot of that was recent. So I'm hoping that helps!

I'm fully TTCing!! It never happens super fast for us so I figure I'll have plenty of time to get my sway in ha! Month 2 of the diet for me

Hi ladies! How is everyone doing?!

Today is the start of week 15 for my sway! We also just got back from our week-long beach vacation. It was AWESOME! Just what we needed. We stayed in our state (Mass) and just went about 1.5hrs away and stayed in a house half a mile from the beach for a week. Everyone had a blast! DS2 turned 4 this past Tuesday also, can’t believe it!

We brought our own food so I mostly kept up with LE diet. There were three days where we went out to eat, but I more than likely was still within LE limits, and if not, oh well, I was on vacation, lol! [emoji6]

As for exercise, I did two days of Zumba and one day had a nice power walk with my mom on the bike path out there. Now that we’re home, I’m going to pick back up with the daily exercise. I can’t believe I’m saying this either but — I actually MISS jogging! [emoji33][emoji23]

I’m slightly freaking out a little bit though, because... about two hours after we got home, I GOT A POSITIVE OPK!! Ahhhh! I’m actually scared, LOL. My urine was also pretty dark and concentrated, so my first thought was maybe a false positive, BUT I also had dark urine earlier this week and still pulled a negative (I’ve been testing since CD8 and today is CD12). I also have had 3 days of EWCM already including just with wiping this morning when I woke up. I’ll take another one later tonight before bed to double check, but I’m sure it’ll be positive again.

Here it is... ahhh! I’m so scared and I don’t even know why! [emoji23] I just can’t believe this moment is already here [emoji51]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200808/3a695a302136cbfc1f55c8a547853ee5.jpg

Sounds good!! Go for it! I'm sure that "relax" you get when you're on vacation always helps. Exercise is addictive! I still need to get to that stage.

Thanks so much ladies! [emoji16][emoji3590]

I must say, I’m so glad I got my first +OPK on the day we got HOME... my parents went on vacation with us, and in the rental house, our bedroom was directly above theirs, complete with a squeaky bed and floors! [emoji1787] Very happy to be able to BD at home instead! [emoji85]

Pretty the main reason I was able to keep up with my sway was bringing our own food! Saved a ton of money anyway and we had no choice since we rented a house lol. I had cheese & butter sandwiches with pop tarts, fruit, yogurt, and Smirnoff spiked seltzers on the beach... lol! It was actually really good!

Lulila I 100% agree! The relax from vacation definitely helped. [emoji4] And yes I think I’m addicted to exercise now! [emoji23] I picked back up with my nightly jog again last night and it felt so good! It def took me a couple weeks to get to that point though LOL

Babygirl thank you!! [emoji2] I would so love for it to happen on the first try, but don’t want to get my hopes up too much. [emoji51] It’s been almost 5 years since we last TTC, I forgot how crazy this feeling is lol!

We BD through O for both boys, so this one attempt at +OPK is totally new for me! Either way, it’s been done, LOL. Fingers crossed for a temp spike in the next day or two! [emoji1695]

Im so excited for you! I know exactly what you mean by feeling nervous and then excited and scared LOL. It’s such a shame we can’t just pull out a ticket the day after BD that says: oh yeah: pregnant or Better luck next time and then even better: in pink or blue font 😅

I hope it worked and all the hard work pays off. I get that you dont want to get your hopes up, but who knows. Pink dust heading your way!

Thanks so much proudmom! [emoji16] and wouldn’t that be awesome?! LOL if only! [emoji28]

ALSO, still trying not go get my hopes up, but I had a big temp spike today! [emoji51] My OPK also went negative and my CM is drying up. As far as the temp, I know it’s the overall pattern and not individual temps that matter, plus I need three higher temps to confirm ovulation. It’s looking good though, fingers crossed my temp stays up tomorrow! [emoji1695][emoji1695]
