Hi everyone!
Don‘t really know were to start. I thought I would just look up all the old information and start my diet but I am totally confused know since a few things seem to have changed. Maybe someone could help me clear a few things up for me? I tried searching for the things I was confused about but most of the threads were very old.
I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teenager but never was overweight, never had insulin Resistenz or polycystic ovaries. Back in 2013 I was on the regular LE diet and staying vegetarian throughout our ttc journey. I am on 2000mg of metformin daily to regulate my cycle length. I did conceive b/g twins back then.
So here are my questions:
Coffee: the original PCO diet Thread suggests to avoid coffee and Alkohol but in another thread I have red it is good to add both to a pink sway. How often would I have to consume Alkohol for it to sway and what kind of alcohol is best?
Exercise: I did cardio 6x a week when ttc in 2013 but don’t have the opportunity anymore. I did cardio and weight lifting for the last couple months (except for 12 weeks break due to the corona pandemie), do we still assume that weight lifting sways blue? I have read that atomic is not even sure anymore if testosterone levels even sway and since the original thought was that weight lifting raises testosterone levels I assume it doesn’t matter what kind of exercise I do anymore? Is 3-4 times a week enough?
Weight loss: I Just started planning for another baby so didn’t start my sway long ago but I have lost 12kg since January but not on LE. I did have a healthy lifestyle with lots of veggies and fruits would the weight loss still sway pink or is it the diet that matters? I want to loose a bit more but am at a point right now were weight loss is a struggle (167cm/59kg).
Supps: Did use quite a few the last time. As far as I remember baby aspirin, licorice root for DH, antihistamines, cranberry and so on. Came across one of atomics posts were she says that the theory that supps sway pink is debunked? Is that right? As for now I am only taking Metafolin.
Timing: do we still believe that abstain or frequent release with one attempt is best for pink? Did SMEP last time around because I needed to conceive asap since I was taking fertility meds.
As for the food on LE Diet for PCOS: no sugar right? Cheese is okay? No soy products? Whole grains? Is it okay to eat carbs when on the PCOS diet or should I try to stick to low carb? Since I have up meat I try to stick to jam for “ breakfast” it I. Annoy find any sugar free jam in Germany, only some with reduced sugar. Is that ok? I have two meals a day, first one is around 2pm. No snacking.
Is there anything else I could add to my sway?
- I have upped my coffein intake
- want to include alcohol
- have lost 12kg and am still trying to loose more
- switched to LE diet
- no more meat all for me
- no snacking
- metformin
- exercise 3-4 times a week
Anything else I didn’t think of?
