You do not need to limit salt to have a girl. That has been completely debunked, most of us totally gave that up.
You do not need to just drink water. Why do you think that?
You can have chocolate - particularly milk and white chocolate.
Some people give up meat and others don't. It is absolutely possible to continue eating small amounts of meat if you are careful not to go overboard.
Many times when people think they can't do diet, they don't even understand what the diet even is. I am happy to help you with your diet, please start a thread that has just your information in it and I would be pleased to help you however I can.

Hiya ladies,
I would like to join!
We are going to TTC in September. AF should be here this weekend or at the latest Monday after positive OPK on cd 21.
Hopefully next month my cycle will be back to 29 days again and we will do our one (hopefully succesful) attempt somewhere around half September! So excited!
By then I will be on the standard LE diet for 14 weeks with:
- Intermittent fasting (dinner at 6pm and nothing till 9-10am the next morning)
- 3 meals a day spread out
- No snacking!
- I have introduced alcohol and coffee
- Eating a lot of carbs, 50grams fat and protein
- Dropped 7,5lbs and am now trying to hold steady at BMI 19
- Taking folic acid
- a small doll I once bought when I was ten for “my daughter” with the name lucky on the box, under my pillow.
I really hope we get our girl!!
Good luck to everyone and lots of pink dust AND glitters, there should always be a little glitter along with pink dust ;) for you all.
Oh and I started taking my BBT this month to see if i ovulate! See my chart below.42729

Not hopeful this cycle having spotting prob will o within two days but hormones be wacky from my dnc miscarriage. I was looking back at my old post and this happened to me after my loss a few years ago then the following cycle I was back to normal and conceived my dd right after so I just decided to stop obsessing with it will see my doc soon though

Good luck everyone - we will be trying in Sept now I reckon. Going back to work in Sept after a years maternity. Would love to be pregnant again and hoping for a girl if possible.
Im on the diet but need to be stricter with tracking fat and protein levels -
-skipping brekkie
-have a coffee with cinnamon in the morning
-sticking to around 1500 cals day I reckon
-rose quartz by bed and a bracelet
-lavender diffuser
-lavender baths
-fertility girl spell by Mia Angel
-have a vision board with girl babies on it!
-Pray!
-girl outfit under pillow
-wooden spoon under bed
any other tips please let me know!

did I put cinnamon in your plan??
Diet is going to sway a lot more than magic spells, so this list is a bit concerning to me. None of those things work (with the exception of cal restriction, skipping breakfast, coffee, and possibly cinnamon but cinnamon can make weight fly off and isn 't right for everyone.)
it is your choice of course what you want to do for your sway but please don't rely on supernatural things to sway while neglecting things like diet and exercise that actually do work! :)

Princess Mom, FF can't tell based on that info when you actually ovulated (and honestly neither can I).
But you did ovulate!
Let's see what temps do over the next few days but that is a nice rise!

Hi ladies I’ll join you! I’m CD 9 of month 2 trying- this is the 15th week on LE and cardio. I’m eating mostly vegetarian, I eat chicken about once a week. I’m committed to intermittent fasting, I have 2 cups of black coffee in the morning and sometimes one more in the afternoon. I’m doing cardio on the exercise bike average 5 days a week for an hour.
Supplements are Femara, myoinositol, folic acid, and fiber. I think our unprotected attempt will be Sunday on cd 13 with estimated ovulation cd15. That could change though! Praying for my girl (or two) after 4 sweet sons!

Princess mom I would try not to worry, you’re still really early! 9dpo is the earliest I’ve ever been able to get a positive and it was very light like that. I can imagine how nerve wracking it is after a loss! I think the fact that you can even get a line at 9pdo at all is good [emoji4]
Hi abi! Your sway looks great! I’m also on week 15 of my sway as well! Halfway through, Saturday will be the start of week 16. We have very similar sways except no femara for me. Are you going to have your attempt at first +OPK?
As for me, FF gave me crosshairs today! [emoji7] So I guess I am officially in the TWW! I forgot how agonizing it is. [emoji51] I’m trying to decide if I should start testing on 9 or 10dpo... I did get a positive at 9dpo last time but I might try to hold out until 10dpo. IF I can. [emoji28] I just really don’t want to see a negative, LOL

Hotlikemexico, I used Femara last month as well and got my first positive on cd11 but didn’t ovulate until cd 14 or 15, so I plan to wait until I have ewcm. The Femara makes OPKs a little inaccurate. I’m temping this cycle so I hope to confirm O that way!
Congrats on your crosshairs! I’m excited for you to test!

Ahh okay, I didn’t read up too much on Clomid or Femara because I can’t get either of them anyway. That sounds like a good plan though! Yay for temping! I love chart stalking haha, feel free to post/share your link!
And thank you! [emoji4] I’m prob going to cave and start testing at 9dpo but I have a ton of cheapie strips so might as well [emoji28] I’m going to pick up a couple of FRER’s this week too but I’ll save those for if I get a squinter line on a cheapie strip since the FRER’s are so expensive

I havent measured my temp for five days in a row now due to the longest and hottest heatwave over here in the Netherlands (36 degrees outside and 32 degrees inside :worry:
And due to the heat I was sleep deprived and my 9 month year old son has been waking up every two hours bathed in sweat... so I figured it wouldnt give a fair image anyway. I hope I can temp soon so I can see if and when I ovulate.

Princess mom didn’t your tests go negative when this cycle started and you got AF? If so I don’t think that could be leftover HCG, I would think they’re positive from a new pregnancy, right?
Proudmom it’s been SO HOT here too! Our AC can barely keep up! We’ve had a heat advisory warning here all week. Frustrating when it messes with your temp!
Abi I am not testing ph. I read atomic’s essay on it and I agree that it can’t be doing anything. Even if we change ph down below it doesn’t change it inside of you, so I just can’t see how it can do anything other than make it harder to conceive! Besides of which testing my ph would just give me one more thing to obsess over LOL and I’m trying to avoid that! [emoji4] I also want to conceive ASAP because we would prefer a late spring baby and not another summer baby, and I don’t want to make it harder to conceive by using jellies or anything to change ph. For my sway I’m doing standard LE diet, 60+ min of cardio 6-7 times a week, and coffee, alcohol, fiber, and folic acid. And the one attempt at +OPK of course. Which seems to have been perfectly timed since it looks like O day was the day after our one attempt so I’ve got all my fingers and toes crossed! [emoji1695]

I have a ton of CM and specifically a lot of EWCM, even while taking allergy medication daily (for actual allergies not for swaying LOL). I always have, though. I thought the diet and/or exercise would lessen my CM too, but I guess not! Last cycle while swaying I had six days of EWCM and the previous cycle (also while swaying), I had it for a week!! This cycle where we had our first attempt, I only had 4 days of EWCM, so maybe that’s something, but it was definitely still there.
Im not worrying about it though — I’ve read through lots of sways and seen successful sways both with and without lots of EWCM!

Don’t worry I got my DD with a ton of EWCM and an O and 3 attempts but stick to the advice atomic gives because every woman is different.
I research bfps with woman who have had faint bfp with fmu and then dark bfps with smu or even late afternoon or evening urine with dark bfps, and it continues daily where bfps during day are dark and then back faint for fmu. So strange!!!! Maybe I fall in this category. I do remember w my first DD bfps were strange not progressing etc. it’s just been a while. So I decided tmrw to test again around 2:30pm to see what happens, tomorrow my birthday and don’t even feel like celebrating. But my bfp today at 2:30 is pure pink and clear

7dpo today over here and losing my mind! LOL. I had some watery CM yesterday so I’m thinking the secondary estrogen surge (the infamous “implantation dip”) and I was so excited to see my temp this morning... then woke up with my mouth wide open. [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849] I SWEAR it always happens on the worst possible days! Now I’ll never know if the huge dive today was from the SES or just mouth breathing. I’m wondering if maybe a combo of both — dip from the SES made more pronounced by the mouth breathing? [emoji848]

Looking good! Fingers crossed you got that egg! [emoji1695] is this your first month ever temping or just first month for this sway/since you started trying? I always have two days of positives on OPKs and then see my temp shift the SECOND day after the first positive, meaning that O day was the day in between — aka the day after the FIRST day of positive OPK. I did have at least one cycle (and mostly likely two cycles honestly) in which my temp didn’t shift until the THIRD day after the first positive — putting O day at the SECOND day after first positive OPK.
I think both O-1 and O-2 are both great chances! Hopefully you see that shift soon! [emoji1695][emoji1695]

I would definitely test at 9dpo! I got positives with my boys all at 8/9dpo.
This is my 5th month tracking with opks and monitoring symptoms and cervical fluid closely- this is my first month using a bbt. I have a feeling that I am like you and ovulate on or even before the peak- this is my last month’s chart and I got my first high on day 13 and then peak on day 15 but I feel like I might have ovulated before that based on cervix changes? I wanted to use the bbt to be sure! That attempt in the chart was unprotected but then my hubby left town for work so it was too early. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200817/513f3d4e506116fb14e894847094e866.png

I prefer you guys wait till 10-12 DPO. Even if you got early tests in the past, there are no guarantees you will every time and I have seen soooo many people get upset over a negative test that later turned positive I think you're just better off waiting for a reliable positive instead of getting worked up with no reason to.

I agree with atomic it’s stressful!!!
I seen an awesome doc and think I will stick with him instead of my previous, he is a specialist and so kind and said he will give me progesterone if it’s low then switch to makena once I’m 17 weeks due to my cervix issue I had w my dd my test today is so dark! Compare to my past it’s almost same color as control line I tend to test darker in afternoon

I’m thinking I ovulated later my temps were weird and my regular line opks I use first response were not positive till cd 14 and still the test line wasn’t darker than control. I usually o cd 15-16 FF kept changing my date from 14-16 now it stuck at cd 14, so I’m either 11-13 dpo. I think I o cd 15, will update w betas

I always o the second day of my peak but this cycle I was getting peaks solid smile but my reg opks were faint I have no clue when I o. I usually get one day of pos opk when test line darker than control line then following day it’s the same and then I o , I have a long surge also. But that’s good, you have plenty of time to BD

Looking good princess mom!! Glad you found a doc you like! [emoji4]
Abi I will admit I’m totally confused. I’m not sure what I’m looking at in that chart/graph. Is that your LH levels? What do you use to get that? I thought “high” vs “peak” was just on that special clear blue fertility monitor type OPK that gives smilies (which I think you’re talking about princess mom right?)
I just used the regular dip strip LH tests, mine were Pregmate brand. I always got a nice fade in, and I could usually tell the day before it would turn officially positive — I would always get a nice “almost positive.” But those I marked as negative OPKs. I didn’t count it as positive until it was as dark as or darker than the control line. My first day of positive would usually be darker than, the second day of positive as dark as (usually the day I would end up ovulating) then they would go back to not as dark as control line and fade out.

Sorry for the confusion! This is the premom app- the blue line is my bbt and the orange line is the graph the app makes of my LH levels from opk. Yesterday our attempt was at cd13 when I had both high opk and ewcm and today I’ve had high and peak levels. I don’t really know what it means [emoji2370] I’m hoping temp will prove ovulation tomorrow or the next day! Here’s my OPKs. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200818/9bb47cb42ad8a92530fe5da25fb3d3c3.png

Oh wow that’s interesting! I have never seen or heard of that app before. How does it determine “high” or “peak” though? Aren’t those just regular LH strips? I only test once a day after lunch. I would have marked both CD13 and 14 on yours as positive if those were mine. As far as I know it doesn’t matter “darker than” vs “dark as” — I’d say CD13 was positive for you anyway! Usually for me my first day of positive is darker than and then second day is as dark as, but I don’t think it matters, each is considered positive.
Fingers crossed for a temp spike for you tomorrow!! [emoji1695][emoji1695][emoji1695]

Princess mom I’m confused? Does that mean it was still leftover? Is 8 low?
Abi any rise is a good rise! Look into “slow rise” it’s a very common chart patter, I actually have it more often than not.
As for me — 9dpo this morning, my temp went back up again, and I’ve been having the WORST super smell (like I could smell the watermelon on my son’s breath from his drink LOL) which is always an early symptom for me. Sooooo, I caved and tested with FMU this morning. [emoji30] at 9dpo. Sorry atomic!! I would have been fine with a negative too I just couldn’t focus on work without at least trying!!
But anyway... IT’S POSITIVE!!! BFP! [emoji33] I really truly didn’t think it would happen first try... I’m freaking out! I dipped one Pregmate strip and it was very faint but there, dipped another because I didn’t believe it, also there, both are pink... dipped an FRER in the same urine sample and it’s not even a squinter. AHHH!

We didn’t go to bed until after midnight Saturday night, had our one attempt, and then I ovulated sometime later during the day on Sunday as my temp was up on Monday and stayed up, confirming O for Sunday.
I was nervous too because both our boys we BD every day in the fertile window all the way through O. So having one single attempt this time had me like [emoji51] I didn’t think it would happen at all lol but here we are! 11dpo today and my tests are only getting darker! [emoji4]

We did every 2-4 day release outside this time then the one unprotected attempt.
Definitely not team green, we will find out as soon as we can. Hoping for the NIPT, that wasn’t around or available for everyone with my first two pregnancies. [emoji1695] I had bad GD after I found out DS2 was a boy (of course could not imagine life without him now! [emoji170]) But if this is indeed another boy, I want that time to get used to it and deal with the GD again. Plus personally for me I find it much easier to bond with baby while pregnant when I know what it is instead of just “it!”
Do you have any thoughts on team green vs finding out once you are pregnant?

Looking good! [emoji2956][emoji1695] I had one too!! You can be pregnant with or without one (and vice versa) but FF has studied it and I think they found it occurs on pregnancy charts more often (23% vs 11%).
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Implantation-dip-study.html
This is your first time temping you said, right? I’ve charted on and off since 2011 including for both of my boys so I had quite a few charts to compare this one too. My chart with DS2 is messed up because my thermometer died mid cycle right around ovulation so my temps are unreliable. BUT, in all of my charts, the only other time I had an “implantation dip” was the cycle I got pregnant with DS1 in 2012. All my other non pregnancy charts did not show one. It still isn’t a guarantee but it was certainly exciting to see before I tested, and was also true in my case!
Either way your chart is looking good! I’m excited!! I hope you can join us in the due date group soon too! [emoji1695][emoji1695] when are you planning to start testing?

Yeah, I'm sorry but the implantation dip isn't a real thing. What that temp dip actually is is a surge of estrogen called the "secondary estrogen surge" that happens as the corpus luteum starts to wither away. This helps to maintain the lining (and since estrogen causes lower temps the temp drops on some charts) until a baby can finish implanting and send the signal to the body to maintain the corpus luteum longer, and then it will start making progesterone to sustain pregnancy till the placenta forms and takes over that job late in the first trimester.
So unfortunately that dip does not mean pregnancy. Now, just like HLM noted, FF did study this phenomenon and while it's true that there are more pregnancies in charts that have a good dip, that is very very likely because they were more "hormone-y" and not because the dip itself tells us anything - since there are many, many charts that end in pregnancy that don't have that dip, and quite a few charts that DON'T end in pregnancy that DO have that dip. It's one of those correlation does not equal causation type of things unfortunately.
But that is still a very gorgeous chart and I hope that temp rebounds into the stratosphere tomorrow. :)

Thanks for that! You always explain much better than I can. [emoji16] that’s why I always put “implantation dip” in quotes, haha. It’s easier to say that secondary estrogen surge too! I definitely think there’s something to the “more hormone-y” aspect of it. My dip this cycle was also accompanied by a big increase in CM — started off watery then progressed to large amounts of watery/creamy type mix, to the point I had tons of it when wiping. That’s not the norm for me in my LP either, so I can see how the “more hormone-y” aspect of it can explain that too.
It’s funny because I had other more “pregnancy like” symptoms in my last two cycles, when we didn’t even BD around ovulation because we weren’t trying yet [emoji23] Like my boobs were SO SORE my previous two cycles to the point it hurt to touch and jogging was painful, in the last week of my LP. Like more sore than they are now. But, I didn’t have the dip, or the increased CM in those two cycles.
Just my random observations, I know totally anecdotal and you can have any symptom any cycle and it not matter in relation to pregnant or not. Just interesting to look back and see and compare [emoji4]

As for me, my main issue is I reinjured an old herniated disc this week, so I’m in a lot of pain and pretty bummed. I can’t take anything or do anything for it since I’m pregnant, other than PT. It really took away all my excitement over being pregnant. [emoji3525] But I’m feeling a little better today and determined to give it my all in PT and prevent this from happening again. As for pregnancy stuff, I had my first u/s at 6w3d this past Wednesday and saw a heartbeat! 133bpm, it was awesome. [emoji178] I’ve got fatigue and random bouts of nausea, but not TOO terrible. I sent my poor DH to the store earlier because I absolutely NEEDED a loaf of sourdough bread... melted some butter on it and it was the best thing I’ve ever eaten [emoji1787] took away my nausea too!
Abifasc I hope you’re doing well! Haven’t heard from you in a bit either

Hahaha the other way around I have to look up Degrees Fahrenheit LOL.
That sure is a bummer you reinjured! I bet that hurts a lot... hope the PT helps a little. Thank goodness you got that DH of yours then to help you through the nausea. I never had that strong a cravings I had to send my DH to the store when I was pg with my DS, then again... I remember regularly feeling frustrated when I got my pizza and vanilla icecream craving... about an half an hour after all the stores had closed LOL
I guess it was a good thing for me because I barely put on wait because I really had an aversion of chocolate, sweets and crisps when I was pg.
My OPK was near to positive yesterday so we had our one attempt last night! Fingers crossed it was a good one!

Agh the chocolate/sweets/bread/CARBS!! are really all I can handle right now! [emoji30] That’s kind of awesome that that’s what your aversion was to... versus mine which is vegetables! Dang! I’ve already put on almost 4lbs. [emoji24] I’m trying to make myself believe that a lot of it is water weight as I’m RIDICULOUSLY bloated 24/7. Fun times in the first tri! LOL

Same. For a boy sway, you’re supposed to eat high protein, high fat, high calorie. While I realize I’m not swaying anymore, I still want to eat semi similar so my body doesn’t think I suddenly can’t support this baby, but it’s been so difficult. Meat has been making me kind of sick. It seems too greasy no matter what it is so I’m stuck on carbs right now. LOL

YUP! I have Buffalo Wild Wings leftovers in the fridge that I’m dying to eat but haven’t been able to touch, because I can’t stomach the chicken right now. [emoji1785] I’ve done a LOT of reading while being stuck on the couch these last five days (fml) but it seems many are in the same boat with living on carbs now. With my second I could only stomach cereal and canned apricots for the first tri LOL, I’m glad it’s not THAT level this time around. But I watched a bag of arugula go bad in my fridge this past week because I can’t touch it, and I’m so sad about it! [emoji24]

Today is 3dpo for me (though fertility friend puts ovulation on the day before I got my opk peak on Monday morning saying I am now 4 dpo) and Im soooo soo tired. All my energy has gone and I am wanting chocolate so bad (trying not to give in LOL) I know it’s not possible so early and didn’t have these “symptoms” so early on with my previous pregnancy.

Hi everyone,
Loving reading your updates. We are literally days away from trying. SO excited.
I’ve asked two days of clear blue flashy smiley faces so I’m hoping for a solid smokey tomorrow or the day after and an attempt. Well here’s hoping. The whole smiley thing seems confusing.
This has been such a long time coming for us. We were supposed to try earlier in the year but I was in a bad accident - just at the time I’d finished the diet for 12 weeks - and have had to wait 4 months before trying again. I had to start it all up again now that I’m better. I feel so liberated even being able to try!!

Wow! Congrats!!! That is sooo amazing!! Sending you sticky pink dust!
It makes me so excited and nervous at the same time that so many of you are all pg in the first round!
I am also in a Dutch forum where everyone is pg in the first round!
I pray that in a months time I will have my gorgeous bfp in my hands so I can join the due date group...
When I was TTC with my DS, everyone in my group got pg so quickly and it made it quit difficult because they always say: it takes an average of a year and yet everyone around me was getting pg in 1-3 months time... I hope so badly I will too!!
I’m so hoping it happens quickly for you! Sending luck your way. Keep us updated.

That is so lucky! I’m so happy for you - it’s so good to see that some people are having such good luck. Hoping for some pink news as well for you.
We tried this month and just like you I had symptoms. I am now 11dpo and pregnancy test negative. I’ve also started to feel signs of my period so I’ve given up hope for this month. Was SO hoping it would happen but unless I get a positive tomorrow morning when I test again I very much think this month is out for me. On a positive note I will know not to freak out next month when I get the signs - pains 6 days dpo, nausea, cramps. Just my hormones and mind playing a trick on me!

That is really cute, the vision board. We will be trying soon and I also think about the girl clothes I bought when I am on the treadmill for an hour. I hope to have my ovulation sooner then later. I find it very hard not to eat when and what I would like to eat.
atomic sagebrush
October 17th, 2020, 02:16 PM
atomic tough love alert:
Ladies PLEASE do not do vision boards or "visualizations" or going on the treadmill while you think about girl clothes etc Anything where you get uberfocused on "asking the universe for a daughter" and/or sit there thinking about how great it will be once you get her, planning for the glorious future, etc. It a)does not work and b) actually can undermine your sway because not only does it keep swaying in the forefront of your mind all the time, but it makes you feel like you can "earn" a daughter if you want it bad enough and that you're doing a successful project where you're making firm steps to achieve your goal (that are not steps at all but are basically just you doing something fun and enjoyable).
This is the exact type of "control freak" thing I want you to avoid completely when swaying. Try to put your sway out of your head as much as you possibly can and avoid any project (like a vision board or guided meditation) where you're doing something that you think will "earn" you a daughter
And no one now chime in and say "I don't think it will earn me a daughter" because on some level, yes, you do, or you wouldn't be doing it. And don't say "but it helps alleviate my stress" because that is EXACTLY what I mean - you do a sway-related project with the goal of "alleviating your stress/anxiety" and then you feel better when it's done becuase you feel like you accomplished something (BTW, something that is easy and fun and enjoyable) to control an inherently uncontrollable situation. That's the exact type of thing that sways blue, these attempts to control the universe so you have less anxiety about something you really want to accomplish.
And one more thing, please do not replace the time you spent in visualization with panic as you try to control your every waking thought so you get into a cycle where you're hyperventilating into a paper bag thinking "OMG I GOTTA CALM DOWN OR I"M GOING TO WRECK MY SWAY." When you do that, you're simply trading actively controlling things by making a vision board, with STILL trying to control things by forcing yourself not to think about your sway and "keeping calm". Don't replace obsessing over your sway with obsessing over NOT obsessing about your sway. YOU ARE STILL OBSESSING in that case. The problem is the obsessing and the controlling, you can change the focus of your obsession and still be obsessing and controlling.
You are still going to think about your sway some. You are still going to daydream about girl clothes and all the rest of it. The thing you are trying to avoid is indulging all that stuff to the extent that the indulgence itself becomes a control freak project for you. You guys have to let some of this stuff go. you have to come to accept that you will do the stuff that is necessary for your sway (diet, exercise, one attempt - and please note "MAKE A VISION BOARD" and "OBSESS OVER GIRL CLOTHES" are nowhere on that list) and at the end of the day, it goes into someone elses hands, whether that is the universe (which sadly does not respond to heartfelt requests) or God (who may, but has His own plan about what the answer will be) or even just Lady Luck.

I am TTC, Girl Sway in Nov.
This is our baby #2, Planning for TTC in three weeks and started doing the below for Girl Sway:
1. Daily recommended Cal and Mag supplements + 2 glasses of milk
2. Tested PH last cycle : 3 days before O = 4.5 - 5, 12 hours after O = 4 - 4.5. (Used PH testing strips). This makes me believe in TTC on O+12. Rather than Shettles, even though I believed in Shettles a lot prior to testing it out.
3. Great Value Sugar Free both myself and DH : AF-O
4. Cranberry Pills both myself and DH : AF-O
3. On O+12 day, planning to take Sudafed PE 1 hour before BD.
3.Question : What should I Douche with for O+12 ? This is my biggest concern. My PH is already optimal but DH semen PH would be > 7. Should I use Rephresh or Replens before/after sex? How about a lime tampon.
5. Anything else I should be following?
Any help would be appreciated!! Desperately trying for a girl and really praying hard my sway works!!
PS : Myself and DH are 31 years old. We both only want a girl and are in no hurry to conceive, so ready to try only cutoff/O+12. I am ok if we do not conceive at all but very set on somehow swaying pink successfully.
Thanks in advance

I got a BFP at 9 days dpo! I actually can’t believe it. I had what I thought were real period pains but turns out I was wrong.
Only issue is, and I haven’t dissected it yet with atomic, is that I had a truly NOT pink friendly diet for about 4 weeks leading up to this BFP due to work - I was away and they fed us. But I’m actually just so happy I got a BFP and will be will be!
I was under so much intense stress at work - working about 7am-midnight so I’m hoping that tips me over into a pink area but ya never know!!

The supplements I give to other people are not appropriate for everyone. Please always discuss supplements and whether or not to take them with me and not just take anything anyone else is on. That can be very bad as some supplements will actually lower your chances of conceiving if you don't need them.

So wanted to try in August but ended up trying properly in November - almost sure I ovulated today. Very positive OPK stick yesterday and today I have woken up feeling very hot so assume temp has risen
I have done a very loose and relaxed girl sway - mainly upped calcium through drinking milk and calc and mag supplements, also folic acid
cardio most days for an hour, I just want to get pregnant quickly so sorry I couldn't stick to the one attempt! (actually did one attempt in sept and oct and didn't work). Have BD every 2nd day since day 8. I have done a lot of other things such as lavender, girl outfit, girl fertility spell and LE diet (to an extent). I appreciate Atomic that this is a far from perfect sway but fingers crossed I get pregnant and I hope and pray for my daughter to come to me :)

Well, we had a lot of things we could have done to boost chances of conception rather than sex every other day. I don't think that's a great way to get a girl, but I hope it works for you.
If you don't get pregnant this month touch base with me and we'll talk about what we can do to up your chances of conception while still swaying pink.

Hi, is there anyone that’s still swaying and hasn’t had BFP yet? I’d like to join the discussion if it is still active :)
So this will be our final attempt for a girl after two boys (I’ve been hoping for a pink bundle since before my first pregnancy, but here they are - my two gorgeous sons). What I’m trying to do for my sway is:
- LE diet started in mid August- two meals a day, no snacking, intermittent fasting for 16 hours, cut the meat totally and eggs only in baked stuff. Love my chocolate, though, so haven’t cut off the sweets (I don’t have PCOS or other special conditions).
- exercise consists of brisk walking with my toddler in the stroller for 60-70 mins a day, 5-7 days a week
- will stick to one attempt for at least 5-6 months and see where it leads us
- supplements- haven’t taken any, only some fiber for the last 10 days due to digestion problems (probably from the LE diet)
- regarding DH- he loves his meat so I did not ask him to LE diet with me, but he has lost some weight for the last several months- started a new job and can’t seem to manage to get his daily meals in order... will that help?
- I am 35, he is 37 so I don’t intend to have additional sway tactics due to our age . I don’t drink coffee and I have a glass of wine sometimes with dinner. It is not much, because I still breastfeed my DS2. Does breastfeeding help my pink sway?
That’s it, I’ll gladly join any discussions as I really need to share the pink sway experience:)

Hey! I thought I'd jump in as I'm currently trying! We are on month 2. Last month we had 1 attempt but it ended up being like 3 days before O (not on purpose I just got too excited [emoji38])
Your sway sounds very very similar to mine and I am also nursing a toddler! I've been doing the LE diet since August as well and have lost around 13 lbs so I'm trying to maintain right now.

Hi, diliela, I’ll be happy to discuss the swaying, I so need to speak with someone about it :) I also lost about 10-12 pounds while on LE, so I upped my calories a bit to try to maintain my weight (current BMI 19,7). I don’t know about my success but I am so happy that I managed to squeeze in such tight jeans ;)

I would like to join the conversation. It is nice to know that you are in the same boat. I am 14 weeks on the diet as for today. Steady in weight. Had some lows, do not always find the energy to excercise and miss the snacking when it is mommy and daddy time (kids to bed, party!). But I did get use to it.
Just started a new cycle so I am looking forward to our attempt in a couple of weeks. Good luck everybody!

Chocolatina, hubbies don't need to do LE Diet anyway. No worries about that.
Yes, we believe breastfeeding sways pink because it gently suppresses fertility but often not enough to prevent conception.
Just a reminder, ladies, I don't always read these support threads because there are too many people posting in them and it's hard to stay up to date on them. When you ask sway questions here, I will often miss them, and even if I don't, it's very hard for people to keep track of who I'm replying to. For sway questions PLEASE start your own thread so I can be of more assistance. :)

Well, I started taking fiber- the only supplement I take- and it is because of my bad digestion, actually, but I found it among the possible supps. I won’t add Clomid because 1. We don’t have it in my country and 2. I kind of feel uncomfortable messing with my hormones even with the local alternative. We will do abstain for DH for the first couple of months, again not intentionally, but my toddler is teething and my first grader is home schooling due to the pandemic situation so we do not have the energy LOL :) I am really not sure how to cope with my increasing control freakishness related to the home school and pending first attempt for us, but we’ll see.
Do you guys have other kids? How were they conceived (compared to the sway tactics). When I got pregnant with DS1 I was in typical girl regime (didn’t know about swaying back then)- tons of cardio (at least 1,5 h a day), pretty much LE diet, conceived with one attempt. DS2 - I read the forum here and took some supps (cranberry, cal, mag), tried to LE (ate once a day due to stressful job), sticked to one attempt for a year and added a second one two days prior to O, then we conceived. About DS2 maybe the second attempt was the reason it was a boy (despite the terrible diet I am pretty sure that with one meal a day I could not have gone over the protein, fat and cal limits). But regarding DS1- it was maybe one of those 30% that get boys despite the good sway. So I am thinking if this time with my textbook sway I actually need to change something or stick to it

How is your LE dieting going, ladies? I stopped counting nutrition after the first two weeks as I realised that with two meals and no meat/eggs I can hardly go over the cal/fat/protein recommendations (only attempts are on fat- I try not to butter my bread and add less when cooking). But I can’t seem to figure out when to squeeze in the fruits as I don’t like having them for dessert, so I kind of dropped them altogether. But I wish to return them in my meals, for healthy intake, when do you eat fruits?

Chocolatina- My diet has been okay I think. When I'm working I really can only eat on lunch so two meals a day for me is the easiest. Sometimes I have to remind myself to eat some more fruits and veggies and not just bread and crackers lol.

Do you guys count the fruits as a separate meal when they are eaten between meals? Or do you stick them to the main meal? I don’t like them as a dessert but don’t like not having them, either. So an apple in the afternoon- acceptable or a counted as a third meal?

So sometimes now i have it just before dinner if I'm really hungry, so it counts with that meal, or after. I've found out thst frozen blueberries with yoghurt is a great dessert.

I got my OPK a few days ago with the intention of starting to ttc this month but my ovulation is delayed, I am so unhappy about that :( it should have been today, but the second line in my opk is barely visible. I usually have such regular periods and ovulation, how could this have happened. I have terrible cramps prior to O, I don’t feel them, so I am starting to panic that I somehow messed with my period... I haven’t lowered my fat intake, it is always around 50 g a day,, I only started taking some fiber 10 days ago due to digestion problems... could this be the reason... I hope I don’t get this messed up as I just got it back 4 months ago (I gave birth 1,5 years ago). Still nursing my toddler once a day, but this hasn’t affected it so far... I am so nervous about it, I was eager to give a try

I literally do not care if you ask me 10 questions a day. I am fine with that. Answering questions is no bother to me at all.
When people ask questions in support threads, and get wrong answers, several people READ those wrong answers. Then the wrong answers go on to cause far more work for me if you guys would have just asked me in the first place!!
I can't always keep up to date on these support threads and it's also confusing for me to answer questions where lots of people are talking. Please please just do me a favor and ask your questions in the forums by starting a new thread.

I'd say it counts as another meal. I feel the same, I'd always have fruit with breakfast or as a snack. So sometimes now i have it just before dinner if I'm really hungry, so it counts with that meal, or after. I've found out thst frozen blueberries with yoghurt is a great dessert.

:agree: thank you Lulila! This is exactly right, anything with sugars in it counts as a meal. The exception is something that's super low in calories like a diet drink or coffee with a small amount of milk in it. Anything that is food, have it with a meal. Or count it as a meal.
Both 2 and 3 meals are equally allowed on the LE Diet. 2 is not better than three, both get good results, so please do whichever one works better for you.
If you find you can't make it on just 2 meals then please go ahead and add in a third meal, even if it's just a piece of fruit.

Oh, congrats, Princess Mom, on all the wonderful news, I wish you a light pregnancy and a healthy baby, it was a long wait, but you will be able to have summer parties for the baby’s birthday
Also need to point out that the counting is meant to prevent cutting back too far. When you don't count, you end up inadvertently eating less without realizing it and starving yourself. Once you get the hang of it, it's ok not to count but you need to keep in mind the real risk is not eating enough!

Pretty please with sugar on top!!!

Thanks, Atomic, I’ve always considered starting a new thread as spam or bothering you too much, but it is clear to me now :)
I am positive I haven’t cut back too much nutrition, I kept a journal of my regular meals with the cal/fat/protein intake per portion so I know what I can eat aiming 25 grams of fat per each meal (if cals are not enough I add chocolate:) )

It's not. It is much more trouble when people get wrong or bad information in these support threads, and then several people end up believing the wrong things. It creates far more work for me in the long run. So please always hit me up with your questions! :)
GREAT that you're not cutting back too far!

How are you doing, ladies? I finally got my ovulation on CD 21 after a rather unusual delay (I always have it at day 14 sharp) so we had our first attempt after almost 4 months of LE and intensive walks. Keep my fingers crossed :)

That's so great. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. Did you get pregnant easily with your other pregnancies? I am in the same boat. Had our attempt last night. I don't know if I want to proceed next month. I find it very hard toe keep up with everything and also live life :) We'll see, I take it day by day.

I agree its tempting for me as well to take a month off. December is super busy and I tend to feel guilty whenever I slightly step outside of the diet. I'm more disappointed in myself for not being able to maintain the diet/exercise and not become a lunatic .

So had extremely light brown spotting this morning, im very much hoping this is implantation bleeding. I was due my period today so fingers crossed!! Also used an ovulation stick as a pregnancy test and its a very dark positive (know I can't rely on this!). I have a clearable fertility monitor but cant do a pregnancy test until the morning, I dipped one of the pregnancy sticks and it came up immediately with two dark lines, does anyone know if I could count this has a potential positive?

Uhm, first pregnancy - I was 27 and we conceived from the very first attempt. I did get really surprised as I had had a two-year struggle to get my period back (I lost it after a severely drastic diet), I was on synthetic progesterone, I am not sure if that helped. Second pregnancy took us a year, I was already 33, had a missed and was really depressed. I made some pink sway attempts but after the missed and so much waiting I decided to add a second attempt in my fertile window so that is how DS2 was conceived. I am now almost 36 and to be honest I expect to have many months of trying. I am trying to be as strict on LE and cardio as possible, but I have terrible sweet tooth and have some chocolate almost every day :).
Girls, don’t get too obsessed with the cheat days while LE dieting, I was too but Atomic advised me that if one single day could affect, we would not be dieting for 12 weeks, right? :)
Vicz, this sounds exactly like implantation spotting to me if no further menstrual-like bleeding happened. I am so excited for everyone on my swaying train right now :)

Thank you both, i did a pregnancy test this morning and I'm pregnant!!!! Still very surprised!!
I did a very impatient and loose sway so Im really not sure if I will be successful with my girl sway.
Sway -
calcium and mag supplements for myself and dh
lavender products
cardio
fertility spell
visualisations and praying
multiple before, during and after ovulation - know this goes against advice but as I said v impatient!
husband took ole for a while
Loosely followed LE diet
Please send me your pink dust - thank you and wishing everyone fertility dust magic! xx

This is when I have to chime in and urge you guys not to do visualizations for pink. Keeping swaying and your desire for a girl in the front of your mind all the time is not a good idea in terms of that "control freakishness" that may sway blue. Sorry, I'm not trying to rain on anyone's sway parade here (and of course wishing Vic the best of luck) but every time this subject comes up, tons of people decide "oh visualizations, what a great idea" and then I have to chime in anyway. So just please ladies, leave out visualizations, meditation, "asking the universe", etc from your sway. Try to make your sway your lifestyle and then try not to think about it constantly.

I’ve Atomic, how do I know if I crossed the line with the visualisation. I managed to turn the sway into my lifestyle and I hardly put any efforts in eating LE or walking every day. But my desire for a girl is so strong, I am not sure how not to think about it. I don’t specifically sit to close my eyes and picture the pink baby, but my inner hope is just huge. Sometimes I catch myself thinking “ C’mon, egg, please welcome X before Y this time, would you!”. I don’t do it intentionally, but I feel it like my wish for a girl for the moment is like those unreachable or impossible wishes that can never turn real. I’ve been in such a situation before as a kid (family tragedy) and it feels the same now- that whatever I do it will just not happen and that’s that. I’ve wanted a girl ever since getting married so strongly that I cried for a week when I was told my first baby’s going to be a boy. During my second pregnancy I swore I would not do that, but was a bit disappointed for not having a girl again. Frustrating...

Hey ladies. I just received my BFP today at 9DPO. I'm super excited and hopeful. I'd love another girl for our family but ultimately either would be a ton of fun!
I mainly just feel confident in my sway and don't have any major regrets!

At that point I had been at "work" since 5 am and I replied to that at 1:30 pm. I have days on here where I answer over 100 questions in addition to taking care of my family and stuff. As I said I wasn't trying to chastise you but to prevent tons of other people from doing something that may harm their sways, and I do this because I have seen this go wrong for so very many people where they end up basically whipping themselves into a frenzy with stuff like this.
I'm sorry I overlooked your congratulations.
Huge congrats!

You're not going to be able to control your thoughts. Don't try. You end up just replacing obsessing over visualizing a baby girl with obsessing over NOT visualizing a baby girl.
The difference is in unintentional vs. intentional thoughts. There is a HUGE difference between the person who schedules in 30 minutes of visualizing and meditating versus the person who has the occasional thought about how bad they want this to happen,
What you are describing is completely normal. Not what I'm talking about at all. Again, DO NOT now anyone try to stop yourself from thinking about wanting a daughter, etc. Just avoid deliberate attempts to "make" the universe or God give you a baby girl by dwelling on it and envisioning it, especially when you have that on your schedule as something to do at a certain time of day.

Is there anyone else, apart from myself, that is still in the 2ww or not having gotten pregnant?

I am in tww. Only 4 dpo but have lots of symptoms pointing towards a pregnancy. But maybe its caused by the clomid. Don't know. I did decide that if I don't get a bfp I will take some time off and try again somewhere next year.

I’m in the tww after taking clomid as well. But don’t think I’m pregnant. Got a negative test at 10po. This is my third cycle on clomid. Doing PCOS le diet. I just had a ton of cheat days in the 2ww (like 6 of them) and gained about 6 pounds. I find it hard getting pregnant on clomid with only limited attempts.

What symptoms should I look for at such an early stage of conception (if successful)- 6 dpo for me today? I think I’m getting all the period symptoms, though... lots of pimples, chocolate cravings and the mood... I got a delayed ovulation- a whole week (never happened before), if it was punctual my period should have started today, but with the delay I have to wait for another week... I am not on clomid as I kind of felt uncomfortable messing up with my hormones and also I am not sure what its alternative in my country is.

You can't reliably get symptoms before you could expect a positive pregnancy test anyway. So it's best not to symptom spot because too often the symptoms are meaningless and are just from rising progesterone rather than pregnancy. FXFXFX!

Wow, just did a pregnancy test and it is positive indeed at 10 dpo. From early dpo I had a lot of discharge, that was strange to me. Also my boobs burned! But the thing I always and only had with my pregnancies was the twitching around my ovaries after ovulation.

I’ve got my period today, so obviously I’ll be here for a while. I was so disappointed and realised how much I actually want this baby. I thought I wasn’t in a hurry with one toddler and one first grader, but it appears I am totally ready. I do hope it happens in my next ovulation. Anyone here still with me in the waiting queue?

I was on the diet for 16 weeks. My first 2 cycles where way off, way too long. Can't count these as serious attempts because I never found O. This cycle I used Clomid and had a clear LH surge. First cycle on clomid. Hope it's a sticky one.

Hi ladies! Big Congrats Slingers[emoji3059]
After 2 miscarriages over the past year and a half I am back to ttc this month. I have no idea where I’m at with ovulation after my MC July 7 but I have had an AF (I think). I have been taking OPKs daily and there were a couple peaks in there… although not strong ones like I had before. We have been BDing every 4 days for the past 3 weeks and will keep that up. That’s my swaying plan this time around- along with excercise. These pregnancies have taken a tole on my body and I’m desprate to get back in shape. The kids start school in a week after 5 long months at home due to covid and I can’t wait to get a routine going for myself. Best of luck to you all! [emoji3590] Swaying girl btw after 3 boys (4 boy pregnancies).
