Hi there,

I have been tracking for a couple of months - should we BD when the OPK is starting to go dark or when the lines are definitely matching (ie positive).

My temp seems to go up the day after the first day that the lines match so I think I ovulate very quickly after the OPK goes dark.

Your advice appreciated.

Thank you, Victoria

The OPK are not positive till they are as dark or darker than the test line.

Faint lines are not positive. Weirdly, even your hubby could get faint lines on OPK because the body uses the hormone for lots of things. Only when it reaches a certain concentration will it send the signal to ovulate and that's when the test will register as positive. Then you'll O 24-36 hours average after that.

Yes, that's what most of us do because it is easy to figure out and is a high chance of conceiving with one attempt.

Great, and best for a girl sway too? One attempt at first positive OPK? Thank you

One attempt is what matters for pink. Anywhere in the fertile window, having sex just once. Timing does not work, it doesn't sway at all, and 50-50 boys and girls are conceived every cycle day. So we put our one attempt at a point in time that is easy to figure out (no guessing about when to attempt when using OPK) and has good chances of conception with one attempt.
