Oh no deaks, I really hope it doesn't last too long, it's the worst feeling!

Sunset - I've seen a midwife and two doctors in the past 2 weeks and I'm pretty sure they're starting to think I'm a crazy pregnant woman with a vivid imagination - apparently I'm perfectly healthy! I might just go and see the nurse about my cough if it's still here after half-term. I really can't wait for a whole week off work!

maybebaby3 - hope your BP behaves and settles down... not fun... Oh and I understand what you were saying about wanting to guarantee a girl if you went for another one.

Had a terrible day yesterday - burst into tears so many times. I discovered that this really needs to be my last pregnancy. I think I was holding on to possibly trying again one day. But it turns out that women who have more than 3 pregnancies with my kidney condition are at risk of early kidney failure :( I want to be there for my children and DH so I need to start coming to terms with the fact that my little bump is my last addition to our family. Feel so very sad that I'll never have a girl. I always thought we'd have a girl and its so gutting to realise that it'll never be....

Pinga, Sorry to hear ur feeling so low. This pg was always definetly my last, dh told me from the start as he only/we really only ever wanted 2 kids. This little guy ur having will be amazing, he's coming to u for a reason! After ds2 I was devastated to have another boy, but he's been BRILLIANT! Ds1 is a fab wee guy too, quite a serious wee boy, thinks alot, but ds2 has brought so much to our family, fun and utter daftness at times, he is just what my family needs. He's made Dh alot more 'relaxed' (I think) and I'm sure ur little guy when he comes, will be like he too was just made to be in ur lovely family. I can't fully appreciate the finality of things for you, but had these babies been boys, I would of known (because of my ds2) these babies were meant to be here for a reason. Sending u big hugs. xx

Crazy woman here!!! :) But has anyone ever experienced a 'clicking' or 'popping' sound from their bumps??? I must hear it about 6 times a day, thought at first it was my poor old back, but googled it and read women being told it's the babies moving! Sometimes I hear it when they move, sometimes when I am at rest (that's why I thought it was my spine creaking). Not concerened, just confused! x

Hi just got back from our valentines at a local hotel. We stayed over too while my mum had the boys - heaven!!

When I was at hospital on sat there was a ladie there 16 weeks in a very bad state. Dont want to say what was wrong as it doesn't seem right - you have little privacy in hospital. Anyway I have seen a few women this week in a bad way. We are so lucky we get the choice to have kids. I don't thinking will have another baby either ping. Thing is I feel fine but my body just can't cope with being pg. It's all looking very promising right now but your right it's a massive strain on your health. Still I have seen another lady this week with a worse history than me and on her fourth, said she would do it again so never say never. I always say never again then get pg again! I think dh wont agree though. I can always his arm but really that's not fair on him. I was to die he would the one bringing four kids up.

I don't think Kell did sway. She got her BFP before swaying but If I remember correctly it was an O+12 ish attempt just once so maybe timing has a little more to do with it than we all think.

Or maybe were all just crazy for believing in swaying in the first place hahaha!

February 12th, 2012, 12:51 PM
Deaks i was 7wks when i really felt pregnant x hope the conversation goes well x

kell defo post your pics please :)

Am getting nervous about weds i think i am going to get the gender written down....not sure if i will read it but feel that if i am i would rather it just be me and dh at home x i can't imagine not seeing a Willy.....i have imagined the feeling of being told girl but that's just a dream i don't think i will be so lucky x getting bad bh already and heartburn must find my support stockings too my legs ache after 2 days at work as there is NO sitting down bar a short break to eat :(

Congratulations kell!!!! Fantastic news so pleased for you x

ATM my mum is up and shouldn't moan as she had the boys but she hasn't got off the sofa once. She knows I am I'll but still I have hoovered up with no offer of help. What I wouldn't give for some one to come round and look after me. Dh is doing lots but he is exhausted now and the house is a tip. Might say when baby is hear no visitors for a week as we can't keep the house tidy. Everyone will be more than happy to rush round and say the house is a tip, and how lazy I am.

maybebabythree
February 12th, 2012, 01:37 PM
High blood pressure hasn't dampened my love if moaning! I don't think anything makes me complain more about everything than being pg!! Don't get me started on my swollen feet and hands!

Inglewood
February 12th, 2012, 02:04 PM
CONGRATULATIONS KELL!!!!!!!! :cheer: Just home but have thought about u all day!! What's ur dh saying?? Hope u can post a pic!

Lavender, these babies were around 0+16, so u never know!

Maybe, just u take it easy...nevermind anyone but u and ur boys. Somedays my house is a mess, luckily my mum comes along to help, but even when she doesn't I'm past caring!

Charlie, that was our plan with the paper in an envelope. But she couldn't say for sure :( I handed her an envelope with boy/girl and a box next to each. She was really happy to do it, shame she couldn't be sure. Then I would of opened it with dh later that night, or when we felt we wanted to know. I have lovely white stockings too for my varicose veins and phlebitis this pg has brought! Hate them!

February 12th, 2012, 02:14 PM
Thanks girls, I am still in shock I think! I cried and have continued to cry everytime some one has called to congratulate us lol! Went and brought a few little bits from next, but from the reactions of everyone I don't think I'll be buying much myself! She's going to be spoilt

Here's the pic of the 'bits' http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss103/kell_riley/44019cd7.jpg
And one of her http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss103/kell_riley/31833613.jpg
The pictures aren't great but they are just perfect to me!

Maybe I'm right there with you on the moaning front! I'm Doing my own head in so can't imagine how annoying I am to dp!

I didn't get to sway but lavender is right it was 0+12 and no sex for around 10 days. I had started the le diet to some degree, much less protein far more carbs etc and lost a couple of lbs before so maybe that was a factor as my diet was very very protein rich before. Or it's could have just been luck, who knows.

Kell
February 12th, 2012, 02:18 PM
Inglewood dp is over the moon! He wanted a girl as much if not more than me! God help her when she's older, her daddy knows literally the whole of our town and finds out anything and everything! Between him and three older brothers she won't have a chance! Bet she won't be let out the house till around 30 lol

hiya girls! just to let you know the3 scan went well. baby is fine and was moving around loads!

took the lady ages to be able to measure the fluid behind the neck as it wouldnt stay still. she then stopped and told me to thrust my bum up and down as this can move the baby upwards. so embarressing. didnt see nub at all as bubs wouldnt stay still so didnt get a good look. will post a pic when i can!

Told ds1 yesturday and he's so excited. first thing he said this morning was has the baby grown more and is it kicking bless him and how many sleeps till baby is here.

Really pleased your scan went well Hun xx

Kell/lavender, i have always believed in timing.... the main idea of the diet is to reduce ewcm and lower ph and that is what happens naturally at o+12. And thats why im convinced i've got a boy in here....absolutely crap timing!!! Congrats again hun!!
Sorry for the lack of personals, will catch up properly tomorrow!
When did you ladies start feeling sicky?

Babymad
February 12th, 2012, 03:45 PM
HI all!

Been AWOL for a few days, felt rotten and lightheaded yest and today and just rubbish! Dh and ds1 have the cold/man flu...so guessing that's what's coming my way!! :(

My scan was great, no pics sadly as the sonographer that havs done the past 3 scans says the hosp policy is no pics after 20wks!! Crap! I got a pic at 22wks, she just obviously doesn't want to waste money. Dh managed to come and it was nice, she is a nice sonographer despite the pic issue and always spends alot of time showing us stuff and explaining what things are etc.... she always asks us if we want know what their gender is? or if we know? she checks as she must forget she tells us each week...NO complaints here! Got good sized babies too.... Twin 1 is 2lbs 10oz and twin 2 is 2lbs 11oz!!! ds2 calls then cheeky (kicks me constantly) and chunky (bigger twin) Still 8wks to go! to get my section date on 21st feb!!

Charlie, I got SYTRON!! saw the registrar after my scan at the clinic and told her how painful my oesphageal spasms are on iron tabs and she gave me a script for sytron. 'touch wood' so far better!! not 100% better, but better! Was going to ask her about it when she mentioned it to me! Try not worry about the urine test, I don't think they are all that accurate, my urinary Ph barely changes pg or not! Will u find out the gender at ut 20wk scan?

Deaks, still so chuffed for u!!

Z, sorry to hear ur poorly!! Is it a cold? or pg related?

Maybe, hope that's u off work now? take it easy mama, not long!!

Lavender, hope ur Gp gets to the bottom of why ur often unwell! Know it's winter, but to be ill as often!! and gets to the bottom of ur long cycle, prob due to being ill so often!

Babymad, hope ur ok and had a nice b'day? Loved the pic of u and the boys at F&B! gorg boys, ur 2 youngest are so alike!!

Past 2 days other than feeling tired have been filled with a broken washing machine....fixed today!! Yipee and a filling at the dentist :( Not much else. MY SIL gave dh a boot full of baby toys, clothes etc... and my SIL's bf gave me tons of nappies and bits and bobs she didn't use up, so feel so lucky once again that people are being so kind! Have alot of things now.

Sunset, she's ur double! She's doing so well and so cute.

LWM, glad u had a good scan! x

Kell, are u getting excited?

Off to tidy my bedroom, bit of a mess!! pop in later.... sorry if I missed anyone had about 7 pages to catch up on!!! xx

Great to hear your girls are growing well :) I can't imagine having two on my belly ;)
I had a lovely bday thanks :) Most people think DS2 and DS3 are twins as they are close in age :)

Thanks Inglewood. I do have a nasty cough and have had it for around 4 weeks now but it's the pregnancy stuff making me feel crap really. This week I've started to feel really breathless and have had some episodes where my heart has gone funny - mainly while driving which is scary! Doctor says it's all normal pregnancy related stuff but after 3 easy pregnancies it's come as a bit of a shock. I'm wishing away the next 15 weeks I'm afraid! I'm glad everything was ok at your scan, 8 weeks will come around in no time - so exciting!

Hugs Hun, I get breathlessness in my pg's too - its really not nice. I feel like I'm being suffocated! Hope you feel better soon x

Thanks Inglewood. I have just tried to upload a pic on here but can't seem to do it from my iPad.
It was lovely to see 'him' and the boys enjoyed it too, well my eldest did, my DS2 just carried on playing on his DS!! My youngest enjoyed it too.
If I'm honest I don't feel any 'better' after having the scan. It was nice whilst we were there but as soon as we left all the old feelings came back. We popped into Laura Ashley afterwards and they had a girls room set out on display and I nearly burst into tears there and then, just had to leave.
I'm trying my best, I've started to buy some boy things but all I can think of still is what I will never have :(

awww babymad i really do feel for you and would give you a really big hug if i could! fx the pain starts to ease soon and you can start to think what life will be like when you have 4 adorable boys who then will turn into strapping young men who will worship the ground you walk on! Babymad, I agree totally with LMW and couldn't of said anything better myself. I too adore having boys and can't wait to see them as teenagers and men and although I can't fully appreciate how you feel right now, I do think of you lots and hope it eases soon. I wish we all could get our dream, esp when we have all tried so hard and been through atlot emotionally and physically. I still haven't got my head round things and have the constant worry something will go wrong, that 1 or both of the twins are born with problems, too early... can't feel content till they are here and well. Suppose we all do with our pg's. Sending u a big HUG! xx

Oh babymad, your fb pics are soooo cute! i just love his little hand! Do you know today i was at this house we are interested in and all i could think is how lovely it would be to have 3 or 4 boys running around the place!! My emotions are all over the place, sometimes i want a girl so bad and sometimes i think how lovely and special it is to have all one gender. I hope that you have more and more of these moments as each day goes by.

Thanks for the reassurance on the icky feelings ladies! Im just desperate for any sign that things are ok! Though i will be regretting saying that if the suffocating breathlessness kicks in later on!

Inglewood, I wasn't going to tell anyone except my best friend but then I ended up telling my mum because I hate keeping secrets from her, then my brother cos me, him and my mum and dad don't keep secrets from each other (it's a family rule) and then my inlaws because I felt like they need to know we have an oct deadline for work to this house if we get it seeing as they are going to support us through all this and potentially live next door! Anyway perhaps I'm just crap at keeping a secret. Noone else though!!!

I am starting the diet tomorrow, and I have wrote in all that I intend to eat on fitness pal, I can't get my calories or protein up any suggestions???

Lunch: 244cals
31g carbs
16g fat
17g protein

Dinner: 599 cals
90g carbs
19g fat
18g protein

That is a total of 870 cals (700cals below my daily target) and 26g fat and 36g protein, how can I make it up, it is harder than you think... I am 4g under on protein.

Hope and dream, no I'm too scared to post my sway. Not sure why really, just don't want to see it down in writing! Id love to know why you don't believe in timing because I want to feel like that too! I see you are 8 days away from your attempt...FX for you!!!

Because I have read and read and read on the topic. One of the most recent studies shows more girls conceived on O day, the opposite of what has been believed. The only basis for timing as a factor was based on Shettles research which has been TOTALLY debunked! He was looking at capaciated vs. incapacitated sperm and thought they were female vs. male which they were NOT! Everything about timing has been based on something entirely untrue. Makes much more sense that we would conceive the gender that had the most chance of surviving which is why diet sways. Girls from conception through the entire life span need less calories to survive. Just totally makes evolutionary sense. Thats why I think the only timing we need to worry about is what will get us preggo!!

Don't know how to make it public but here is what I intend eating,

Lunch: 244cals
31g carbs
16g fat
17g protein

Dinner: 599 cals
90g carbs
19g fat
18g protein

That is a total of 870 cals (700cals below my daily target) and 26g fat and 36g protein, how can I make it up, it is harder than you think... I am 4g under on protein.

Also can I drink decaff coffee with sweetners as much as I like all day???

Any suggestions on how to increase where I need to...

Adding sugar free candy like red licorice, swedish fish, jelly beans gives you calories with no nutrients!

How are you doing on your sodium, pebmcp6? It is difficult to suggest things without seeing your full numbers, but sweets and cakes are always a good way to put up your calories. Although if you need an extra 700 calories, I would probably see if you can fit something more substantial in.

On the subject of sodium, I found with sodium that a lot of entries on myfitnesspal are incorrect due to other members submitting the details and making mistakes when inputting the sodium. I had to change quite a few items due to this. Basically the packs list sodium in grams, i.e. 0.1g. Myfitnesspal, however, lists sodium in mg. So a lot of times people input the sodium content as 0.1, but don't realise that it is asking for mg not g, in which case it should be 100mg. Therefore in this example the item would show no sodium content when it has in fact 100mg, which is 1/10 of your daily allowance. Hope this makes sense.

As for making your diary public: My Home tab --> Settings --> Diary Settings --> Diary Sharing (at the bottom). ;)

What a difference 12 hours make. Been awake most of the night with back pain and been thinking back to those awful stabbing pains that had me doubled up around implantation. Wandering of this could end up eptopic? Also just had a phone call from pharmacy telling me my progesterone has been discontinued so heading down to docs to get some answers. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid!

Just back from docs. He made a phone call to the hospital while i was there and they said at the moment the best thing to do is get bloods done today and again on thursday to check levels are rising properly. Then i can go for a scan next week if there is still concern or straight to a&e if pain gets worse. They dont seem to think being on progesterone will delay a miscarriage by much so that has set my mind at rest and they definately want me to stay on the crinone which i have managed to track down at another pharmacy. At least i have a plan now...

Did anyone else have lower back ache in early pg? i only had it with my oct chemical, dont remember having it with the boys.

Kell, gorgeous pups there!

Deaks - I had lower back pain with 3 of my pregnancies, in fact it was my only symptom! I really, really hope that everything is fine. The life time of worrying really does start the moment you see those two lines doesn't it?! Have you read the 'trouble with timing' thread on here? Perhaps reading that will put your mind at ease and help you to realise that you have as good a chance of a girl as everybody else out there (and you already know I conceived mine on O day!).

Hiya, Deaks I had awful back ache with DS1 it was agony! I had a progesterone shot which effects the muscles so hope its that.

Ive been ill with an awful cough and going hot and cold, had to sleep with the window open and in just a vest, went to drs and she said chest is clear but was so painful, then I got out and sobbed like a baby in the car park, very embarrassing! Worried my fever has caused damage to the baby too so will ask at the scan tomorrow

Chocolate, enjoy your scan tomorrow too hun. Sorry you are feeling rough, but bubs is lovely and protected in there so im sure all fine. I remember getting a horrific sickness bug with fever for a few days and was petrified about the baby but the doctor was very relaxed about it.

Kell, have you got any takers for the pups? will you keep one for yourself?

I do think the people on grand designs who live out of Caravans with kids during their builds are saints. It would drive me beyond stir crazy then you see the fabulous homes they create but those months or years living in caravan are clearly a great trade off for the final product!
Such an exciting project to have in the pipeline.

Thanks for all the hugs girls xxx Annoyed me that a couple of people put girl on my FB pics as I have said in the most direct way that's it's a boy....just can't bring myself to say I have had it confirmed...silly I know!!

Charlie ~ Are you asking them to write the sex down? Have a nice day with your friend :) Do most of your friends know you would like a girl? Does your DH want to find out?

Deaks ~ I get back ache in early pg so I'm sure things are fine but having had 3 m/c's I totally understand your concern. Be great if you can get an early scan. Great to hear plans with the house are going well :) Where abouts is the house?
That's really strange that you mentioned the CK cowboys theme as I have been watching the changing bag on eBay :) I love it too :) Much prefer the Yummy Mummy change bag with cupcakes but don't think that would look right with a boy ;)

This baby will be sharing with DS3 ( my other two boys share and love it) that was one of the reasons why I really wanted four so DS3 had someone to share with, I shared with my brother and have fab memories and didn't want him to miss out. Not sure they'll all appreciate it when they are teeny boppers bringing their girlfriends home but they're not getting their hands on my office! (fourth bedroom) ;)
We are going to decorate DS3's room before baby arrives. So I will be look out for the wallpaper :)

Chocolate ~ hope you feel better soon

Petal ~ Those sad moments never get any easier do they :( my friend was round today with her DD who is 3, the same age as DS3 and they played lovely....She had brought her pushchair with her and they played mummy and daddies :) melted my heart.....but I also felt heartbroken that my boys will never experience having a sister, that upsets me just as much as me never having a daughter...the things they will miss out on too :(
When my friend left I heard her saying 'come on or we'll be late for ballet'.....what I would have done to say those words.

Yeah I noticed that about the sodium when I had a few of my foods put in, I managed to make my page public, check it out. Don't worry about the misspelled words, every time I put in a food it said it was already there and I don't think the nutrients were right on them...

Who would like to meet at Wells over the summer???

GeCon
February 13th, 2012, 06:48 PM
pebmcp6, I would add some sweets like Skittles or Weight Watchers desserts or cookies.

Another good one might be: Lurpak Spreadable Lighter Butter Unsalted. Just calories and fat, no sodium or protein.

As for myfitnesspal: You can also change your goals to reflect your true goals a bit more. Go into My Home --> Goals. If you click on Change Goals and then Custom. There you can change your calories, sodium and also change the carbs, fat, protein ratio if desired. Just thought it might be helpful as the fat and protein allowance looks a bit high.

That CK cowboy print is really nice. Oh and Babymad - if you like the cupcake bag... you buy the cupcake bag! :D When I had DS2 I had this lovely waterproof fabric with flowers over it and I made a change mat which I use!!! I made my own nappy bag and I guess its quite boyish colours.... but I figure - the nappy bag is yours... not theirs... so it can be as girly as you want!

Kell - very cute puppies - almost makes me want a dog... but I'm afraid I'm a cat person 100%. :)

Sunset - I've got Polycystic Kidney Disease (basically cysts on my kidneys and liver) - they increase as I get older and may cause kidney failure. My Dad passed away from kidney failure but he was 80 so he had a good long life. There are different severities of PKD and I believe my family has the milder version. Just got to look after my BP and my kidney function. Nobody has ever heard of it but its apparently more common than cystic fibrosis or downs syndrome.

Got a sick little man today so been exhausting. He won't be put down and just wants cuddles while DS1 keeps getting really jealous of all the attention the other one is getting. I hate it when they're sick!!!!

Hi all,

Babymad, i saw that on your fb and thought it seemed a bit insensitive since you have hinted at bubs being a boy several times. People just dont think...thats why you have us :)
I love love love anything in the cowboy print. Here is my ds1's bedroom in it though i couldnt get a very detailed pic as cant zoom out enough. But it makes me smile every time i go in there. Cath kidston has crap wallpaper for girls... ha ha! But i agree with pinga, the bag is yours not the bubs, so buy what you like! I always go for a cath kidston spotty bag and then fill it with the stuff baby needs instead of an actual changing bag. 1435

Oh and i am definately up for a meet! Not sure how i would explain it to my dh that im meeting my 'online friends' but i can convince him to do anything! When shall we do it?

Chocolate, am thinking of you and your scan today...exciting!

Sunset, loved your blonde moment on fb...i've so done that and im not blonde!

Charlie, how are the nerves today...hope you're having a great time with you friend!

Maybe, hows the blood pressure?

Hi to everyone else!

Deaks Welwyns mat unit was moved to the one here in Stevenage, it's been extended and upgraded and is now a midwife led unit at the lister hospital! I can't wait to give birth there, and when I'm done studying its where I hope I'll be based!
You don't have to go to Watford, you could go to Stevenage if you chose to but I imagine you'd have to let your midwife know its what you wanted. It's literally another 10 mind from Welwyn on the A1 so not too much bother.

But as this is my last baby and I am a real baby person I know I have got to make the most of it as it is the last time I will be doing it! So I may opt for girly or defo the cowboys from CK.

Lavender ~ are you ttc this month?

Deaks ~ gorgeous bedroom...love it!

Maybe ~ I hope your little man makes an appearance soon :) A footballing mum has gone into labour today with her third boy, I was very envious......I am counting down the weeks!!

Chocolate ~ great scan pics, I love the third one:)

Inglewood ~ I hope you manage to have a rest tonight x

Pinga ~ How are you doing?

It's 'Wells Next The Sea' - We will probably go for the week-end as its too far to travel for the day. When is good for everyone....July or August? We can meet with partners and kids or just us girls or kids too....what would people prefer??

Kell ~ pleased the pups and mum are doing well. We have got DH's brothers two dogs for half term - the boys love it!

Charlie ~ I am so excited for you tomorrow xx I have very good vibes that you'll be seeing pink! Everything crossed for you xx

Ar i didnt realise they had relocated welwyn! I will definately go to stevenage if we move to Tewin. But if we stay in STA i think its likely i will go for watford as its a quite a bit closer. Saying that i had to wait for my parents to get down from cambs to babysit last time, so this time i could just meet them at stevenage which would actually save time!

Second day on the diet and I have managed to eat up my calories, I did have to eat empty calories to make it up, but I read on the August thread that it is so important to eat your calories quota to stay healthy.

Here is what I ate today, let me know what you think, I am going to eat this menu for a few days til I get more suggestions.

Happy Valentines day, DP had flowers delivered to the house which really threw me! Nice though :)

Kell glad the puppies are settling hope you get more rest tonight.

Inglewood The next step with Dr's is more bloods, (day 21) We came to the conclusion that my day 16 spotting was the start of a new cycle so I had a 16 day cycle that I didn't ovulate in followed by a 30 day cycle, which I may have ovulated in. I really hope my cycle stays normal. Normal type AF besides on off lower back pain in my ovaries trying to try not to look too much into it though.

Babymad I am TTC in a big way this month I just want to be pregnant really badly now. Especially with my dodgey cycles. Also today a friend of mine who knows I'm swaying has decided that she and her husband want to TTC no2.
Our cycles are in sync and it would be amazing if we could have EDD a few days or even months appart.

So my new plan for this month is no gels which is risky but am on the same acidophilus as Deaks and Inglewood that makes your pH super low. I've been on a strict girl diet for over 4 months now even stuck to it when we went away. I also weigh the same as I did when I was about 13/14!! So hoping that is my strongest sway. I'm throwing timing out of the window and just going to DTD loads between CD 10 to O day probably even over O. But going to use an anthistamine- which one i'm not sure, any help would be great? I'm not on Cranberry Tabs anymore.

Deaks do you mean Just us mum's no Children? Where is Wells if it's not the one in Somerset?

Charlie, hope ur scan has gone well!

Lavender, I never got to use an anti-histamine, used sudafed 1st mth ttc (gave me palpitations), 2nd mth had planned to use Zyrtec (certirizine) as I use that for my hayfever, but missed cut off, so didn't bother taking it ttc in mth 2 and fell pg that mth. Glad ur getting bloods done.

I saw the Midwife today, Twin 1 still head down Heart beat 152bpm, Twin 2 still Breech and HR- 148. My Bp and urine behaving, so far... so all was well. My midwife is lovely and very supportive that this time with the twins I will bottle feed, so that helps! She also said that she had heard the 'clicking' noise I hear is hiccups... not so sure??? Went to sanisbury's got 256 huggies for just over £13!!!!!! BARGAIN!!! and my eyebrows waxed. Been wondering if the school will call as ds2 bless him has a "sore brain" think he's getting a head cold :( gave him calpol b4 school as he didn't want to miss Tennis today! Managed to eat a wispa then 2 apple turnovers...now I feel sicky! Not exactly a nutritious lunch at all, usually have a nice sandwich....but ate 1 then couldn't resist the other...oops! Hid the box from dh!! straight in the bin!! lol

Speak later... xx

February 15th, 2012, 01:24 PM
What a meanie not writing it down Charlie! But everything sounds good for pink to me :) Especially as you thought you saw white lines, that is great news! And the fact that you couldn't see a willy says it all as its very obvious by 20 weeks if there is one ;) How are you feeling? Are you happy that you stayed team green or do you wish that you had asked? Get thinking of pink names Hun xx

charlieispy
February 15th, 2012, 01:41 PM
oh i wish she would have written it down - i was so bad when i went in i was physically shaking and shivering, my legs shook the whole scan!! I did see some i worry was a willy but would say i saw more of the 3 lines.....but then googling - lots of scans which were boys and they saw 3 lines SIGH i should have bloody found out lol

AND you begin to think about everything - she said do you wantto find out i said i didnt know - she said maybe it would be nice to have a surprise.....then after trying to fix the printer said well if you would be disappointed maybe you shouldnt......DH took this as its a boy! Bollox maybe i will book a private scan lol

zanacal
February 15th, 2012, 01:48 PM
Aww, what a shame she wouldn't write it down for you! Stop Googling woman :D Still, the fact that you didn't see a really obvious willy is a good sign! I definitely think you should book a private scan if it's going to drive you nuts for the next 20 weeks!

February 15th, 2012, 02:04 PM
Glad your scan went well Charlie! I really am useless at my 20 week scans. They need to have a sign saying it's a boy or literally I am looking at the wrong end of the baby.

My hospital appointment today was a shambles. I wasn't booked in so didn't get my growth scan. Waited three hours to see consultant. Asked asked the scan but she as I wasn't overdue there was no point (dispite the fact my placenta was 50% dead by now with ds1). Got a date for induction so I am fed up and upset now. Beginning to wish I wasn't pg. Do not want to be induced. Hope Dave comes in his own time before then but little chance as it's before my due date. I can't say no as it's risking both our lifes but I don't want to be induced again. Sniff...

Charlie, can't you just call your doctor and say you want to know the gender now? Even if you didn't want to know, your doctor should have that info.

Or you could just have more fun and book a private scan! If it's driving you crazy hun I would find out..but obviously your decision...I still stand by my feeling of pink for you! Plus if you didnt' see a real obvious willy, I think it's looking good for a girl....DS1 and 2 were obvious boys once I knew what I was looking for hah!

Sunset, can't wait till tues to get my section date!! eek! my babies birthday!

Indigo, :( sorry to hear ur sicky....

Maybe, when is ur induction date? Try to keep +ve, ur baby will be here just after that! I don't really know much about induction as I was only induced with ds1 and the syntocin was at MAX and I still wouldn't labour/dilate. I only got to 2cm then sectioned as 19hrs had passed and ds1 was distressed with the myconium.

Babymad, hope u get a good nights rest!

Off to get boys ready for bed then watch OBEM, it's about TWINS!!!! xx

My last induction was pretty intense. Had the tampon thing, then the gel. Not much seemed to be happening so I went for a walk around the unit. Got about 20 metres and was doubled over with drilling back ache. Managed to get back to my bed. Beeped the midwife as thought my waters had gone. She went to get the test and then I was sick. She examined me and I was 3cm dilated. Got put in the wheelchair to delivery room bynow I wanted to push. Got to delivery room and I was fully dilated! One hour from my first pain. Spent thresholds pushing him back to back in agony. Then they called in a doctor as I wasn't progressing. Had the drip, episeotomy, vontose and he was born withe cord round his neck. He was resusatated outside the room as soon as he was born. So 4.5 labour in total but blardy painful and scary but to be honest I mentally left the room as after a point I couldn't take it. Much precferred the 48 labour with ds2

February 15th, 2012, 05:24 PM
The first card is right in the middle of the spread and this is the card which represents you, the ‘self’ so is obviously right in the centre- most important! The card to come up for you was the ace of wands. Now this is really strange because it doesn’t fit in with my immediate feelings around you at all! So I drew another card here and it was a card with pretty similar meanings! So even if this makes no sense to you either at the minute, bear with me as it is obviously very important! Aces of any suit show new beginnings, it reminds me of a seed being planted… something new started which through time will develop and grow into something bigger. Now I was shown learning with this... the idea of career- is this something you have been thinking about? As I feel you have intelligence, a great deal of it which you rarely use and you are being told off! Lol so perhaps something to think about going forward? As I do feel this will fulfil you.

Actually now that I think about it- this theme of a seed being planted and growing- although quite graphic could also represent a baby in the womb couldn’t it? I will look into this a bit more soon, as more cards relating to this have come up in the reading but I do feel this is an early indication that you are either pregnant just now or will be very soon!

The final card in the spread is an overall card but also focuses on the future- the knave of chalices. Now often this will show a pregnancy around you J and I was being shown a little girl here. I do feel this will be very soon as I said before so I asked my cards when and I was shown the winter months… for conception and birth- are you sure you are not pregnant at the minute?! Maybe you should test!

Lavenderlime
February 15th, 2012, 05:31 PM
Those were just the first and last cards and there were other bits inbetween that talked about other bits.

Got me excited that this IS my month as this is the last winter month to conceive in as March is much more of a spring month and it will be my little girl :)

Inglewood
February 15th, 2012, 07:41 PM
OBEM was quite good. The twin mum was teeny and she had teeny babies! I'll have 2 bruisers, even 4wks early! Had my phone going like mad, people saying "ohh, that's u soon" lol
I knew one of the Midwives on it!! small world, but I trained with her many years ago.

Lavender, how exciting! I had a reading b4 pg, told me Emeralds and May would be significant this year alongside creation and new life. These babies are due May (birth stone emerald)... she showed me cards with little girls on them and said...maybe a girl?

Dh has decided he'd like to convert the loft for the boys and NOT move!! arghhhhhh MEN!!!!! We would loose about £20-30,000 if we moved now and Dh could convert the loft mostly himself. Ds1 not happy at his school and although he only has 2yrs left to go, I was hoping we could move so he could go to the school where 2 of his friend moved to. Seems silly to loose all that £ when we could do a cheap conversion and bide out time till the market picks up. What to do???

Nite ladies.... xx

My food intake for tomorrow 16th, let me know what you think, is the broccoli OK. I find it handy to write out all I am going to eat the day before, it saves me wondering what to eat. I read somewhere on here that it is good to vary your calories to trick your body into thinking it is being deprived...

Charlie - sounds promising if you saw lines. Fingers crossed... Try not to go too insane analysing what you think you saw :D

Maybe - I was induced with DS2 and it was a fantastic birth!! Better than DS1. I just had the drip (no gel or anything) and from my first contraction to birth was 55 minutes and it was great. It was very intense very quickly but that was the only downside. So you can never tell how induction will go - hope you get one like mine.

babymad - doing ok here. I find it easier when I don't think about things too much. I'm trying to think through all the best bits about boys and not focusing on the things we'll be missing out on. Its hard when my BFs all have little girls and when we catch up its such an ache watching their little girls playing... How are you getting on? Is it getting any easier?

Had an appointment with the docs today and got to see bub at my cervical length scan (very briefly!)... always nice to see them wiggling away.

Inglewood we are doing a loft conversion because of the expense of moving, it'll be a short term fix for the time being but gives us the extra bedroom we need do all good. Just need to save up the money for it now!

charlieispy
February 16th, 2012, 04:11 AM
Inglewood - I know you really wanted to move but if DH can do the conversion cheaply and give you a bit more room - then maybe when you sell you wont lose anything?? Maybe plan to move before DS1 moves up school or for that move?? Unfortunately my DH is useless at anything like that or we would be converting the loft too - instead it will be either triple bunks or 2 bunkbeds!!

maybe - huge hugs for the thoughts of another induction - is there time to talk to anyone before you go into labour to try and help you through?? Like the others have said induction can be very different - maybe writing your experience on your birth plan would highlight your fears - the MW and doctors might be wary then??? Hugs hun

Lavender - she is awesome isnt she FX she gets our genders right!!!!

didnt sleep much last night oh i am silly - i have been on a forum which is now a private FB group since my infertility before ds2 and they have offered to club together for a gender scan but the thought makes me want to be sick...but then i know its eating me up....ladies what would you do. Also i think i would need to go alone.....but that feels like i am cheating on DH i wouldnt tell him or anyone if i did go??

Charlie, I will be finding out even though I said Id stay team green but thats because I really have lost hope of this one being a girl now so need to know so I can tell people to stop them going on about how nice it would be to get a girl blah blah blah. I will be going on my own as I will need that time after myself to deal with it and also want OH to look after the boys. Must be hard not knowing what to do!

Inglewood, we have a converted loft, done before we moved in, but getting proper stairs up there without going in through the room underneath and taking up loads of room may be an issue. We also have a small office downstairs we could use as a room but that will be our eldest's choice once he gets to 13. In theory if we have 4 they could all have there own room, maybe then I could squeeze in having 5 or 6............ or not lol!!

Chocolate, ideally we would put space saving stairs in the hallway (which is teeny) as them we wouldn't have to cut off some of the 2nd bedroom to make a staircase, esp if it's not a permenant plan to stay. But they are quite pricey, around £500! Looking to find cheaper as although Dh can do most of the conversion, he would want someone to put them in properly and move the access hatch,he could close up the old hatch. And we were quoted around £1500 for 4 velux windows fitted (1 being a fire exit) Dh can do all the plasterboarding, flooring (all the joinery work). He then just needs a plasterer as my dad can do the Electrics (already lights up there and a few sockets) and my FIL is a plumber, he can fit radiators. So we'd need to get a small loan to cover costs. But prob better than losing so much £!!

Charlie, I needed to know to prepare myself this time either way and I'm sure u will know deep down what's best for u! I couldn't help myself!! Taking the boys made it so much more fun, why not make it a family day? Sure ur Dh will support u whatever u want to do.

Wishing, ur time to start TTC is fairly coming round!!!! April!

Deaks, what I would give for 2 days of peace!! ENJOY!!

After weeks of Aubergines....I now have small pumpkins!!

It's my 33rd Birthday tom and just got a gorgeous bunch of flowers from my SIL (dh's twin) as I won't be home tom. Will post a pic later on Fb to let his SIL see them. Lucky me!!! Dh slipped up 2 days ago and I knew they were coming! MEN!!!!!!!! But still lovely!

Hi ladies, sorry still havent caught up on posts but i really really need some reassurance!

Went to the docs today after having my first lot of bloods done on tues afternoon. My hcg levels came back as 790. The doc seemed to think this was low and certainly in the range he showed me it does look it. However does the fact that i ov a bit late sometime between cd 18 and 20 change things? im hoping it technically makes baby younger than average cd14 ov so levels perhaps dont look so bad? On tuesday it would have been approx 17 days since conception and if i look at this website Normal hCG Levels in Pregnancy | BabyMed.com (http://www.babymed.com/normal-hcg-levels-pregnancy) .... my levels look fine. What do you reckon? feeling a but teary and not getting my next bloods done til this afternoon so have to wait til monday to talk to doc again and see how much they have risen. X

Charlie you NEED to find out book a private scan! And i'm not just saying that because I want to know too lol!

Deaks I'm that sure about BETA's but saying that yours does look normal when looking at the chart and if implantation happened later then readings would be on the lower side. Here's hoping todays bloods have gone sky high. Will you get the results before Monday? Did the Dr. appear to be concerned or did he just state they were on the lower end, but this isn't an issue?

Inglewood Happy Birthday for tomorrow! Loft conversion does sound like the best idea financially and less disruptive than moving. Does your DH have the time to do it? Would he take time off work or would he fit it into evenings and weekends?

Deaks ~ how frustrating for you hun... ((hugs)).. i don't know anything about hcg levels unfortunately so i won't be off much help. Have you got any other signs it's not a normal progressing pregnancy such as bleeding, cramps, sharp pains? please try not to worry too much, although i know that's near impossible.. sending you big hugs and keeping my fx this is your sticky bean!

charlieispy ~ i would find out personally but it's your decision at the end of the day. Do you think it will be easier to find out at birth if it's a boy? What your sonographer said to you about "if you will be dissappointed then perhaps you shouldnt find out" doesn't make any sense... imo you will dissappointed regardless but it's probably better to work through your emotions before birth if you have a very strong preference. I didnt have a very strong preference with ds2 (just wanted a healthy baby because of ds1's heart condition), but even so i still found myself dealing with emotions of GD after his birth and those are feelings i'm not proud of and they did shadow ds2's birth a bit... and i do sometimes wish i would have found out gender while pregnant with him so i could have dealt with those emotions before he was placed in my arms.

My food intake for tomorrow 16th, let me know what you think, is the broccoli OK. I find it handy to write out all I am going to eat the day before, it saves me wondering what to eat. I read somewhere on here that it is good to vary your calories to trick your body into thinking it is being deprived...

Nobody has ever heard of it but its apparently more common than cystic fibrosis or downs syndrome.

oh im so sorry to hear about your dad! I can honestly say i've never heard of it before :S does it affect your pregnancy?

Hi girls!!

Feel for you babymad, i know what its like to have friends with little girls, one of the friends i was shopping with sunday picked up a little frilly skirt in next and said 'aww you should dress ds3 in this'!!!! err no thanks!! and she knew i always wanted a girl too!

OMG Charlie, cant believe the sonographer wouldnt write down the sex, i think its a lovely idea!! I agree with babymad, i feel its your girl, you would have seen boys bits in a 20 week scan, especially as you were looking!!! go get a private scan :-) im dying to know!!!!!! haha.

My ds3 is poorly, he's had diarrhea for over a week now :-( took him to the docs yest and have sent off a poo sample to see what virus he has, poor boy. Hes fine in himself thou, just doing all i can to stop him getting nappy rash.

Loved OBEM last night, those little twins!!! the mum did so well, poor thing having that old man shove his hands in to pull baby out!! think id rather have a c-section :-)

How are you maybe, any signs of little Dave yet?

Deaks - {hugs}. I've read that the important part is how quickly your levels are rising and that the level itself isn't so important, some babies just implant later/slower.

I thought cauliflower you could have as much as you want (as long as it fits in with your limits), but broccoli only in limits with it being a supergreen and having too many nutrients?

Yes, you're right! I think the thing I'm thinking of (which is still stuck at the back of my mind!) is relevant for boy swayers - bare with me, I'll remember it soon!

zanacal
February 16th, 2012, 11:52 AM
Here it is - and this was on a thread aimed at boy swayers, so bare that in mind when reading!

Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage (also called cruciferous vegetables) contain a chemical that has been shown to raise testosterone but may do so at the expense of estrogen. We want things that will boost BOTH our testosterone and our estrogen. Eating a cruciferous veggie here and there will not affect you negatively, but there is a supplement based on this chemical called DIM which we may want to stay away from.

My levels at 10 dpo were 14 and I was told probably chemical but I said implantation had prob. only just happenned.

Are they repeating tests? Hope it just takes a few more days for them to double xx

I think we had space saving stairs but took them down as they were in the 2nd room and needed to plaster. We could possibly create a stair way in the dressing area of our bedroom with a door to the hall to access it but means loosing our wardrobe space. Ideally though it has to be in hall area as no point having seperate rooms if they have to enter through one room. Sounds like you know handy people so should keep costs down

Deaks, try not worry. Not easy after the end of last year for you. But try stay +ve, my levels were thru the roof being twins, they didn't even tell me, so I'm no help, sorry!

Petal, sorry to hear ds3 isn't so good, the wee man. Hope the stool sample comes back clear of any bugs/viruses. I was laughing at u saying "the old man" in OBEM as dh and I both said, shouldn't he be retired!! lol How awful she had to go thru that! Another mum locally said the same thing happened to her with twins, at least she had an epidural, but said it was still very sore.

Maybe, glad ur thinking a bit more +ve, all births are different and the end outcome is good :) with babe in arms.

Good luck - sounds like a great plan :)

Babymad
February 16th, 2012, 02:01 PM
No, just the once. I don't believe timing sways at all but I wanted to make sure we DTD on the third of DH's 'releases' in a 24 hour period and he released twice a day for 10 days prior to that.

I feel massive too, hate to wish away the rest of my last pregnancy but I really am!

What did you do to get your boys? Did you do the opp this time?
Do you think lowering sperm count is important hence your freq release?

We tried freq with DS3 that's why I tried abstaining this time and bd after ov.....along with diet, amazing how it works for most but not all.

I feel massive too - really struggling with my breathing which is really getting me down. I long for the next 15-17 weeks to go quickly!!

I wanted to go to the scan on my own as needed to be on my own after....I hope you manange to decide what is right for you, don't rush yourself xx

Pinga ~ I'm having bad days and ok days so just trying to do my best to be honest. I feel very drained at the moment...when do the tears stop!!

Petal ~ hope your little man is better soon hugs xx

Inglewood ~ I thought the woman with twins did really well and how fab to give birth naturally. So they were so sweet!
Happy Birthday for tomorrow, have a lovely day x

Z and Babymad, I did freq release too this time (for just over a week), as ds2 was def from abstaining, well we hadn't bd for almost 2wks.

Babymad, my boys were 9lbs 1oz and 8lbs 5oz (early section, or he would of been big too) so thinking even tho I am having 2, I reckon over 7lbs each!!! hate feeling breathless, I have about 6lbs of babies already!!

thanks ladies for putting up with me and my stressing and yes babymad i am an overworrier BIG TIME lol

Well i booked a scan................its not till 13th march though I ended up going for a 4dscan after school so the boys can come too. I will ask for the gender to be writtten down and then read it at home - if i want to LOL

Babymad - i have the breathlessness thing already x hugs its horrid - i think once you notice it though you then are aware so its harder to breathe and you almost have a mini panic attack. Somedays seem better than others x x

inglewood - happy birthday for tomorrow hope you have a lovely day x

Deaks - HUG HUG HUGs for your blood results firstly YES o-ing late will make a big difference to what your levels should be and the important part is that they double in 48hrs, many people with low hcg go on to have healthy babies not that you will stop worrying i know that x try and stay positive FX FX FX for that next result to come back doulbed or tripled!

February 16th, 2012, 04:01 PM
Has the MW said how big your babies are Inglewood? I think it will be better to have 'bigger' babies as theres two so at least you havent got the worry of them being too small.
What are your plans for tomorrow?

Charlie ~ sounds like you are happy with your decision, is DH going to? What does he think to finding out? I hate the breathing problems, I had really bad asthma with ds3 and ended up bring rushed to hosp with an asthma attack - it was horrible :( I feel like im being suffocated!
I climb the stairs and feel like im going to pass out!
Hope yours doesnt get too bad x

Charlie - Yay for scan!

Inglewood- enjoy your birthday, hope you get spoilt!

Im seriously considering going high tech for number 4, if I know I can go down that route then I can just get on with enjoying this pregnancy and my boys without keep thinking about not having a daughter. Think OH is a bit shocked about the amount of money, but if we carry on working and saving as we are then we can afford it, and still have time after to build up extra savings that is ours to splurge on or save as we will have enough for the house diy and general savings.
I didnt think Id seriously consider going HT but I dont think I can do this swaying again for number 4 knowing 4 is my last chance and for the sake of spending some money on IVF instead of clothes and cafe trips over a few years then we could do it.

Do I sound mad lol? One minute Im fine with all boys but the next Im thinking, no Im not letting go of this daughter dream until Ive tried all routes, sigh!!

On another note, Im only just over 11 weeks and sure Im feeling little tickles where baby is! Talk about slack muscles lol

I think lowering sperm count was as important as diet/maternal condition for us. With the boys we DTD every couple of days around the middle of my cycle but when I asked DH for the low-down it appears he was probably releasing on the days we weren't DTD too! Abstaining wasn't an option for us because he couldn't/wouldn't do it and I wouldn't do it with him being over 35 and the slightly higher risk of birth defects anyway. It was actually his idea to release twice every day (yeah, what a sacrifice!). We got pregnant really easily with boys even though DH was releasing very regularly so I suspect he has a very high sperm count - even this time I got pregnant with one shot after all that releasing and an immediate jump and dump! I didn't try to do the opposite to what we did before, just read as much as I could and decided what made most sense to me and what felt right.

I rather enjoyed my other pregnancies but I'm so wishing this one away. I know I shouldn't but if I was 10 weeks further down the line I'd be happy! That's so scary that you had an asthma attack when you were pregnant. For me I'm sure alot of it is psychological. Like Deaks said, the more I think about it the more I can't breathe!

Chocolate if I was to have another I would do high tech. Really happy with three boys and defiantly only have a fourth purely to get a dd. However not sure I want four kids as we only ever talked about three. I think you need to set aside enough money for three goes and be prepared for it to fail and be happy to lose 20k. For me it's not so much that money but the change in my life style. I would have to move, give birth around 40 and less time for the things I want. I think I'm not that in love with idea of a girl for that - but never say never :-)

Deaks, know where you are coming from. Thinking about pgd has made me happier and will celebrate this little baby and pregnancy more, its taken away that shadow and allowed me to just enjoy this one. I do wish I could just learn to deal with the issue of no girl, but if there are other ways of getting that girl then I want to try that for our last child first.

Hi everyone else, I do read all the replies and reply in my head but I have the memory of a goldfish lol

Genesis in Cyprus sounds like the place to go. They had some results back when I looked on ig

Deaks please moan away! I hope your results are good!

I am in killer mood. Took boys for a lovely lunch, had a great time but I am just so arsey (keeping it inside so boys are ok) I don't know why. Nothing has upset me. I just want to crawl into a hole. Blardy hormones

How does it work for genesis then? On the website i couldnt find any details about how long the process takes or any accomodation details like i could for the north cypus one.

Thanks for letting me have a moan. Feeling better about my levels as even though i havent had my result from yesterday back i found this website http://www.babymed.com/tools/hcg-calculator and basically my 18 or 19dpo (not sure which it was) level of 780 looks higher than the max for 18dpo (758) and between the max and average for 19dpo if you hover over the blue line on the graph. Just shows how incompetant my doctors surgery is when he let me leave thinking my pg was looking bad just because he didnt think to ask me if i possibly ov late instead of the 14 days average. Instead he worked out my dates from my LMP. Annoying!

Viewed the old farmhouse with a builder and structural engineer this afternoon and neither could see any major nasties so the renovation costs are looking not too bad. Got a very interested couple viewing our house tomorrow even though its not officially on the market yet so hoping we may be able to make an offer next week. Need to be extra nice to dh as he is in charge of the figures!

Hope you all have a nice fri eve...i've got a takeaway heading my way :)

Charlie, bubs is gorg!

Chocolate, sounds like a plan to give yourself something to take the pressure off this pregnancy. And you never know there could easily be a girl in there or if it is a boy, you might feel your family is complete anyway :)

Maybe, i expect you are in a killer mood cos you a carrying a great big bump around. The last stages are so tiring. Try and have a relaxing weekend...i hope dp is there to take the load.

Deaks that's it, it takes the pressure off, we could have a girl although doubt it, and yes I may decide after all that I feel we are complete, just allows me to enjoy this little one more, like I should be.

I have found most of the info about genesis on the ht boards, think you can get pre-testing in the UK then fly out and stay somewhere locally, villa or hotel, near by and stay for 10 days. Think you book flights and accommodation separately.

Enjoy take away, we had chinese, although cant seem to eat that much in one go anymore.

Good luck with the house business xx

ps - yeah some drs seem so dumb when they dont ask if you ovulated late or anything, I have to explain at each scan that I ovulated day 21 so am 7 days behind, and said to the nurse on the phone about my 14 hcg reading that I ovulated late so am not far along, she still said sounds like a chemical to which I said Im sure it has only just implanted.
I used a hcg doubling timer calculator when I had my results back so may be worth googling that and having it ready to put results into to see how often they double. Showed mine doubled every 21 hours so was catching back up fast :-)

Yeah i think that could be the calculator i stumbled on too! did you get a second hcg level to use the calculator with after your 14 level then? Great news that they doubled every 21 hours!

Thanks for info on genesis! Definately something to bear in mind and although it seems a massive thing, i expect that once the money is saved up (how much is it at that one roughly?), the process is quite straight forward.

Yes I had 2 tests and was relieved they doubled every 21 hours and suspected twins but only 1 lol.

I think I was told between £7k and £10k for treatment and holiday accommodation/flights, and a reduced 2nd cycle if the 1st fails. Alot of money if I want to save enough for 4 cycles but worth it

Happy Birthday Inglewood! X

Deaks ~ Don't be too hard on yourself re the GD stuff, I posted when ttc that I wasnt sure whether to carry on as I couldn't do the diet 100% after being on it for 6 mths and I wasn't sure if I would be ok with another boy....as time went on I really wanted a baby not just a girl but look at me now struggling with it all....not for the first time either! We are only human so don't beat yourself up about it x Hope your bloods are all good xx

Chocolate and Deaks ~ I went to Dogus in Cyprus for PDG. Genesis has better results. I would consider the USA if you are going for hi-tech as their results are excellent. I have three hi-tech friends all due from now to when I'm due, obviously thrilled for them but still really hurts that we lost our little girl. I keep daydreaming that we will win the lottery so we can do PDG in the US and live happily ever after!

Kell ~ Enjoyed my night out, needed it to be honest! Hope you have a fab time too x

Sunset ~ my boys have all been late and I have been induced at 42 weeks with two so expecting the same this time round too!

Inglewood ~ I reckon they will be fab sizes :) I think I will stalk you when they are born so I can have cuddles! :)

Charlie ~ Hope you get your date sorted!

Hi to anyone I have missed x

Had one of those days today where you feel like a shit mum!! DH is in hospital as he's had an operation on his nose so I been worried about him. Had no time to play with boys....had loads of jobs to do and felt like all I've done all day is shout and moan, feel awful :( I've got no patience at the moment and DS3 is testing the boundaries!!
Hoping tomorrow is a better day for everyone!

Should be alseep - night all xxx

Morning all, Thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes! Had a nice day, lunch with my mum was nice and then after Cubs and Tennis, I got a HUGE choc b'day cake and then Dh and I had a chinese take-away (which wasn't actually nice :( usually is from there, was cold) but quiet night in front of Tv. Ds1 has a friend over soon, so maybe tomorrow b4 we get to the cinema.

GeCon, the eyecream has been the best (for me) and believe me I have tried lots over the past 9yrs!!!!! From £5-50!! This is from the Bodyshop it's £9.50 and called Vit E eyecream. It's a teeny wee pink tube, but last ages!! I went for a half price facial months ago at my hairdresser's and the woman there recommended it. So far it's helped alot!

Deaks, how exciting things are for u! New home (designed by u) and a new baby! busy times, a bit like me!! Well, a few of us are renovating and pg!! lol

Babymad, hope ur DH recovers well. As a teenager I had alot of sinus op's and wasn't nice but well worth it, hope he's doing well? Sure the boys were none the wiser that u were a bit stressed, today is another day for them and they soon forget what happened 2hrs ago nevermind yest!! (bit like me at the mo). You are a fab mum and sometimes I think we are too hard on ourselves for nothing. Glad u had a great night out! Stalk away too! Wish we could all have a wee cuddle of each of these new babies due over the next few mths (and our 2 new babies here)!!

I wish I could meet u all in Wells, but it's so so far for me, about 7 hours (about 360 miles?) Dh prob wouldn't come with me and it's a long way with 2 babies :( will be so envious of u all!! My oldest friend gets married beg june and I'm heart broken not to be able to go and I was possibly going to be bridesmaid (she wasn't sure if she could afford it after her 3 sisters). I've never been one before, tbh mainly as many of my friends are gay and the rest aren't married. It's about 4hrs away in an amazing Highland resort in the West coast and her 'Dh to be' has banned kids going (which I can understand) as he has tons of babies/kids in his family and he doesn't want them spoiling things, so she can't invite kids either! I couldn't ask my mum to look after 6wk old twins and I couldn't leave them anyway at that age, so can't go! Dh's neice puked on the carpet right next to my wedding cake after sneaking tablet from the dessert trolley (she was 18mths), so that was fun! I didn't mind having the kids there! Well, my ds1 was there and he was 2. So missing out on alot this summer, but SO SO worth it!!!

That's ds1's friend here, so they want to go out on skateboards and ds2 wants to make choc crispy cakes, so will pop on later...enjoy ur sat ladies...xx

Hey!

Hope everyone's well!

Inglewood my mums on the east coast, not far from Edinburgh, she's actually here visiting us at the moment, haven't seen her since October :( I went out for a lovely meal last night and a few drink, I was nearly falling asleep at the table at 10:30 lol
My stupid eyes have flared up AGAIN!

I'm all finishes work now, quite glad actually as I can now relax and concerntrate on college work.

The puppies are good, they are a week old nearly and have more than doubled in weight and size! They are noisy little things, I was up 3 times last night sorting them out, between that and the constant peeing of a night I'm shattered! All good practise a guess.

A meet would be lovely but I'm thinking I may be a little too pregnant at that time.

Ds1 has gone snowboarding with his dad for a week, it was horrible saying good bye, I wanted to cry but managed to compose myself as I was at the ex's front door with his girlfriends family peering thought the door at me!

Hi all,

Kell, im not surprised those pups keeping you awake... my dog was several weeks older when we first bought her home and she was still a noisy little tike! Mind you that was more her crying as she missed her mum :( bless.

Sunset, i get my results tomorrow. Docs supposed to be calling me at 10.30 but think i may call first thing as desperate to know how much and how quickly my levels have increased! On a good note, definately feeling queasy today and had small boughts of it yesterday and the other day so think hormones definately kicking in :)

Babymad, how are you hun? is dh home yet? dont be hard on yourself, you are DEFINATELY NOT a bad mum! You are having to deal with alot and like someone else said (inglewood i think), the boys wont remember if you have a off day...or loads of off days even! You arent superhuman and you will be able to make it up to them at another time. Sending you a massive hug X

Pinga and maybe pink...how are you two doing? I hope things are starting to get a little easier!

Hi everyone else! Lavender, hope and dreams...when are you next attempts?

Kell - lol at your pizza baby! Hmm Ben and jerrys baby would be nice here.

My oldest chum came up yesterday with her dd who is 18 months. She kept on saying I am having a girl. Had a bit of sulk when she left but luckily these moments pass fast for me.

Chocolate I am the same with the ivf as it means never say never. But really think I will complete after dave. Plus dh won't talk about it till he is here. Plus with my bp playing up he really is less keen than ever to try again. I would be 38 39 as well and my eggs are more than past there best before!

Honestly this sounds mad but if I was to start the menopause I would be so so happy as it's forces that door shut. I hate that 'but what if I was too ...' feeling. Because there is also a 'what if I blew 30k on ivf and didnt get pg? Surely that would hurt even more than not trying?

Basically as we all know these feelings just suck. Just even thinking about it makes me guilty

Kell, ha ha see what you mean about pizza, Im hungry now though lol

Deaks, def. ring first thing, great for sickness, but sucks!

Maybebabythree, I know what you mean about loosing 30k, its only worth it if you get a girl out of it, Id want to keep trying to make the money worth it but havent got that sort of money to keep trying. Sometimes when I look at just the holiday of going to cyprus I think wow, never thought to go abroad, how cool would that be to take the 3 boys every year. We could use that money to go on a hot holiday each year instead of IVF, very hard! I dont know, for now we will save for it but I think nearer the time I would probably feel content with what I have and would rather put the money to other uses like deposits for the kids first homes, but then if IVF worked in 2 cycles then we would have time to save up for that too after wards. If the IVF we would sway 1 last time for number 4. I dont know if we would consider swaying first for number 4 then consider IVF for number 5, but if twins could mean 6 kids and we only ever said 3 or 4.
Im driving myself mad, need my scan next Saturday to hurry up!

Sunset, that would of been nice, but I'm so far from any of you! :(

I got a horrible letter from Child Tax credit office today saying I earn too much to continue to get the whole £38 tax credit I get each month and as from April I will get nowt! With the 2 babies coming I still won't get 1 extra penny!!!!!! They have removed the 'baby' element of the child tax credit after telling me I would get it (was £100-ish per mth for both of them, not each, till they were 1yr old) I don't even earn that much (2 nights per wk) and dh is part-time too (30hrs). So pissed off, this Government are a joke!! I was hoping that it would help while I was on half pay... STRESS!!

On a plus, should find out my babies birthday tomorrow! Can't believe I am 30wks on thurs!!! so excited.

Inglewood I feel for you child Tax credit is a massive load of crap such a stupid system. I only work 10-15 Hours a week and I get £10 a week child tax credit when I wasn't working I think I got about £50. It's only really worth working when I end up staying late and the tips are good. I can't believe you are getting nothing! Can't you appeal?

We've had a busy weekend leveling the back garden and breaking up concrete ready to lay slabs, also exposing pipework as were having a new bathroom fitted in few weeks and some of the plumbing needs re-jigging. I've also decided to re-do ds2's room even though it was only done about a year ago. I've got him a lovely little cast iron victorian dormetory bed. Just need to sell his boat bed! I've also been painting some new chest of drawers for his room and scouting around for material to make get a quilt made So been busy, busy.

Deaks how did it go at the dr.s?

Inglewood that sucks, so annoying when you budget for what you have been told. We get about £38 a month too but OH has been doing so much over time that we will loose that from April time.

Inglewood ~ this government is crap to put it lightly! one of my best friends who also is swedish made the mistake to apply for income support last year (she's lived in the uk for 5 years) and because of this she has now lost her right to reside in the uk and they've took her child benefit off her and is now demanding her to repay all the child benefits she's received since april last year.. i just don't get it, her boy was born here so to deny her child benefits simply because she applied for income support is ridiculous in my eyes! and all this just because she's not in a relationship with a uk man (her fiance is from brazil)...

Deaks ~ have you got the results back?

AFM i've been a worried mama today as Serena is poorly and has a chest infection :( she's been given antibiotics to take for a week, so hopefully she'll feel better soon

zanacal
February 20th, 2012, 01:12 PM
Aww, poor little Serena. It's awful but inevitable that they get ill so little when there are big brothers or sisters in the house. Caleb had chicken pox when he was 2 months old! I'll bet your mummy milk will get her better quickly :D

FX for good results tomorrow Deaks!

We will stop getting child benefit from April because DH earns (just!) over the higher tax bracket. I have nothing against means tested benefits but this one makes absolutely no sense to me at all - we would get nothing even if I wasn't working but if he earnt a little bit less and I also worked full time we'd earn far more AND get our child benefit. They need to look at joint household income but I guess they know they'd mess up the administration of that!

chocolate
February 20th, 2012, 01:27 PM
Ah poor serena, hope they kick in quickly! Deaks hope they are in first thing, hate waiting for results. Inglewood, are u sure the benefit for child benefit isn't from april 2013? My oh has earnt over the 44k or whatever it is bracket this year but only because he has done months of over-time, but like you say, 2 couples could earn 39k each and bring in a lot more than one who earns 44k and the wife earning 6k or not working, madness!

zanacal
