I've stalked this site off and on for several years now. I'd given up hope for a little girl but I think I've finally decided to go for it.

My plan is to start LE diet tomorrow and do it for at least 12 weeks before our attempt. I've been doing Intermittent Fasting for a couple of months now and I'll continue this, basically just skipping breakfast. I also plan to add in exercise, we will only have one attempt and I've cut out snacking which I did daily with my boys.

My questions: I've gained a lot of weight in the last few years and my bmi is 28.5. Is that too high or does it matter if our attempt is after at least 12 weeks on LE?

What is the best type of exercise? Is walking ok? 60 minutes every day?

I'm 38, does this increase my odds of a girl at all on it's own?

I'd like to add alcohol as well. Is red wine ok? I mostly drank beer when I conceived my boys.

Any other tips or tricks are greatly appreciated!

I want you on the alternate diet. 1500-1800 cals, 50-60 g protein and fat (not counting protein and fat in fruit and vegetables, and NOTHING in low carb vegetables, they're free and unlimited, no need to count them) . Whole grains only, full fat dairy only, and no sugar (or severely limited.)

Let's add in cinnamon (ceylon, NOT cassia) 1/4 teaspoon from AF-O and 1/8 teaspoon (thyis is a very small amount) from O-AF and myoinositol 2000 mg from AF-O and 1000 mg (or every other day) from O-AF. At BFP, gradually wean off both these by spacing them further and further out till down to one dose per week, then drop them.

Focus on losing what you can, when you can, if you can. The important thing is doing the diet and don't worry if you can't ever get as low in weight as some other people do. The point of all this is to send a message to YOUR body, no one elses!

Walking is great and is actually my preference as people often end up injured when they do more strenuous exercise.

Alcohol is fine. We see good results with all alcohol so just have whatever you would like.

Thank you so much, Atomic! I forgot to add that I'm gluten free due to wheat allergy. Does that change anything with the diet or just do whole grain gf foods?

Just do whole grain gluten free stuff!
