Hi, I have a 18 month old DS and started swaying this month for a DD. I am so mad at myself because I have been wanting to sway for about 2 years. I read the babydust book and thought that was it and it's only since discovering this site (the last few days) I've learnt it's about so much more than frequency and timing. Anyway I've already avoided certain foods and taken magnesium and calcium (all of which I've recently discovered don't really sway) BUT the thing I'm mad about is ive been taking really high levels of vitamin D (covid prevention) and tbh i now know #1 I've been taking too much and #2 its a blue sway. I'm so mad at myself.
If I stop taking today, when do you think it will be out of my system by? Should I wait another 6 weeks or hope that it doesn't sway strongly?
Anything I can do to negate it? Thanks so much

Well, with Covid out there it's probably smart to take Vit. D if you are in any way at risk. If you aren't at risk then I'd wean off of it now.
Would you be willing to give it 6-12 weeks to do a better quality sway diet? Or at least, we can start fixing your diet now and if it takes you a few months to conceive (which, using Babydust, it nearly always does! it really cuts odds of conception) we'd be able to get it all squared away before then. Just avoiding foods doens't really work and most of us on here, myself included, got boys with the "magic foods" approach.
And also - welcome!! So glad you found us, and please please hit me with any questions you have! It's what I'm here for. :)

Thanks so so much for replying Atomic! I can't believe how helpful you are to everyone on here it's wonderful.
Yes I'd definitely be willing to change up diet and skip trying next month and then look to do one attempt close to ovulation. I have just scoured the babydust site and there's so many fails that I've come to the same conclusion as many here that their statistics cannot be correct! I know I want to give it my best shot to get a girl as my husband only wants 2 children.
My diet atm is lowish in meat, little to no caffeine but rather high in sugar. So the no potatoes/tomatoes/bananas thing doesn't make too much odds?
Thanks again so much, if I'm not pregnant this month (had my 1 attempt before the vit d Realisation , 4 days before ovulation) I would definitely love some guidance.

Hi Atomic, I've decided I'm going to assume I'm not pg this cycle (but still take my folic acid ofc) and begin the LE diet so i get results from it asap.
Are there any other supplements you think i should take? I do need to be on iron for anemia unfortunately. I'm thinking of calling my dr and finding out my vit D levels as i recently had a blood test.
Am I right in thinking white rice, pasta, risotto etc are all 'good' and i should still lower my meat intake? sweeteners/aspartame are good? Oh and eggs are they a good source of protein? thank you so much Atomic

If you've been taking Vit. D the odds are good that you are not deficient but yes go ahead and call to find out.
Lots of people have to continue iron while swaying pink. If you need it, take it. If possible to reduce to 3x a week, do so.
The LE Diet is more about the overall nutrient content across a whole day that you're eating and not the foods per se. You can absolutely have those foods as part of the LE Diet. You just have to stay in the limits.

I have a full explanation of why the tomatoes, potatoes, etc do not sway blue in this thread: https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-a-girl-best-practices/62533-le-diet-faq-2-mineral-madness-edition.html
Just let me know any questions!
