Hi Atomic,

My period is 2 days late but every pregnancy test I’ve taken has been negative.. is it possible the HcG is just really low or should it be high enough at this stage meaning my period is likely to just be delayed for some other reason? I keep thinking I’m having symptoms of early pregnancy but they’re very similar to pre menstral so my body is probably just tricking me!

You ovulated later than you thought. Can you think back when you think you ovulated??? Did you have any signs or symptoms of O later than that?

Thank you so much hotlikemexico!! I’ve been following your journey and am so excited to hear your news later today. Have my fingers and toes crossed for pink! ... you’ve been on this journey for longer than me so may he able to advise - do I need to wait until tomorrow morning to do a second test to ensure the HcG is high enough or is it likely to be positive is I did another today?? I’m dying to see a second positive but don’t want to have a horrible afternoon home alone if it was negative! Lols the deliberations of an overly excited newly pregnant mom [emoji23]

Awh thanks so much!! [emoji178][emoji4] sadly my midwife’s office still didn’t have my Panorama results. She told me to call back in the morning and if they’re still not in they’ll investigate with Natera so hopefully I’ll find out something tomorrow!!

As for taking another test, it depends! It depends on how long of a urine hold you’d be able to do. I had a TON of the cheapie test strips that I had gotten on amazon, so I took another test the same night I got my bfp — it was still positive, but still just as faint as it was in the morning. If you don’t have a ton of cheap strips, I would prob just wait to test again until the morning so that you don’t waste any! Mine was already even more visible the morning after. [emoji4] Good luck!

I redid the test and it was completely negative and now I’m doubting myself as there was no line at about 5 mins when I went down to break breakfast for my boys and it was only when my husband came down after his shower that he said your test looks positive so it could be that it was beyond the 10 mins.. I’ll redo in the morning and hope and pray for a positive within the 10 min window.. I’ve been on a high all day so this has shown me 100% I want baby #3.. have been totally off the LE diet with snacking though so if it’s not positive after all I hope it doesn’t impact our next attempt..

That’s so hard with the massive delay in getting your result, really hope you hear back tomorrow [emoji1695][emoji1695][emoji1695][emoji1695]

With the first test the line didn’t show up when I checked but I left it in the bathroom and my DH came down to tell me there was a second line but in hindsight that was after more than 10 minutes and I’ve since read that a second line can develop even if negative after that time so the result is only accurate up to 10 minutes..

Here is the test I have just done this morning and it’s not exactly 10 minutes since I took it

It’s now CD35 and I normally get my period on CD30 or CD31 so if I’m not pregnant I don’t know what is going on and am a bit concerned there’s something wrong with me

If this is a no go, what will it mean for our next attempt Atomic? Should we just do every 72 hrs throughout the month to make sure we catch ovulation as now my cycle seems totally off so I’ve now idea when it will happen.. also assume I need to actually have my period arrive for us to have another attempt? I’ve never missed a period so this is really perplexing

I have scrolled by this a couple times today and I see an extremely faint shadow. I can’t say one way or the other what that means but on my screen that is what I see. Best wishes.

Thank you ELB! You are giving me hope!! I don’t think I will fully believe I’m not pregnant until I get my period [emoji177][emoji177][emoji177]

It took me days to get a clear BFP with this pregnancy so hang in there! I started testing so early in hindsight (when you look at DPO) but there was little shadows of a line that gave me hope. Occasionally my afternoon test would be darker then the first thing in the morning test so no harm in checking in the afternoon too if you have enough tests handy!

There's nothing wrong with you, you just ovulated later than you think. This happens a lot with pink sways and is not any kind of bad sign or anything like that.

It is still possible that you haven't ovulated yet and can still get pregnant this month. I would absolutely have you start doing e4d in the 72 hour pattern right now. you do not need to wait for your period.

Thanks Atomic. My period has just arrived today (1 whole week late!). I’m quite sad for the baby I’d hoped I was carrying but also relieved that if I’m not pregnant I at least have my cycle back..

With the E4D method would this look correct (even though in my head it’s every 3 days not 4!):

Attempt at:
CD7
CD10
CD13
CD16
CD19
CD22
CD25
CD28

As this is likely to be our last attempt we are cutting back on the potentially fertility lower things like the hot shower and daily alcohol and just found:

LE vegetarian diet
Coffee
Walking (and hopefully jogging /biking for DH)
Folic acid (me) and OLE (DH)..

Is there anything else we should do (other than keep our fingers crossed and say some prayers!)?!

You can call it whatever you want in your head, we just had to pick something to agree upon and e4d in the 72 or 96 hour pattern OR Monday/Thurs and Mon/Fri is what has been the least confusing for everyone over time. It's because a lot of people count it like Day 1 (attempt) Day 2 (skip) Day 3 (skip) Day 4 (attempt). The important thing is that we are all using the same terminology when we talk to each other about it so there is no confusion.

I would add in a female orgasm and stay laying down for at least 15 min after sex, part of that time on your belly.

Thanks atomic, would the 96hrs be a better girl sway that 72hrs?

In theory, yes, but the truth is so far we've gotten good results with the 72 hour pattern and it really is one attempt even WITH the 72 hour pattern. So it is entirely possible by doing 96 hours you cut your chances of conception and aren't really even improving your chances by much.
