Hi all,
I want to sway blue after 2 girls. I just wanted to know what else I can do.
I have changed my diet to below and have been doing this for last 4weeks.
Breakfast oatmeal, wheat based cereals almonds walnuts, peanut and toast seeded bread. Sometimes I have two breakfast early morning and mid morning.
Main meals and lunches eating red meats 2 times week, loads of protein chicken and eggs including vegetables including carbs. Canned soups tomatoes and vegetable. Seeded wholemeal bread.
Drinks mainly lemon water, coconut water, orange juice and apple juice, limited tea x2 cups daily.
Snacks includes apples, bananas, crackers with cream cheese, carrots and hummus, dark chocolate and hot chocolate or yogurt and granola for bed time snacks. Dried fruit raisins and apricots, almonds.
Vitamins womens centric multivitamins, omega3 fish oils 1500mg, 450 mg active epa/DNA and folic acid 400grams.
I'm not big eater so it's been challenging to eat alot especially lunch and snacks and fussy eater.
Is there anything else I should be doing as I really dont know.
Looking to try next month December. Is it to late to buy a plan?
I've got mixed information about green tea, potassium tablets and evening primrose should I be taking these?

Do you have a rough total for how many calories you're eating?? We don't want you to gain TOO fast. Most people can handle about 3-5 lbs weight gain, but we don't want you to gain any more than that. Some people who are underweight gain up to 10-15 lbs but huge and rapid weight gain may sway pink.
Do you mean Centrum? I can't find the brand you're describing.
That is too much fish oil. I prefer you take no more than 500 (both you and your husband). If you can't find a lower dose, please start taking that every other or even every 2 days.
Green tea is ok to drink but i wouldn't use the supps.
You're eating great so I wouldn't take potassium. I very much prefer you guys getting potassium thru your food supply which you absolutely are.
No evening primrose. We had scads of opposites with that and the Omega 6 fats in it may sway pink when used in too high a dose.

Thank you so much for your reply.
Not sure how many calories but I have always found it difficult to gain weight even through when I was pregnant I dont gain alot of weight. I used to eat alot of wasted calories junk food instead of what I'm doing now snacking is more on nuts and crackers and I feel so much better for it. I feel as i have so much more energy. I never let myself get hungry or skip breakfast.
The fish oil I only take one tablet daily even though it says take 3 daily. Shall I still skip and only have every 2 days? My husband is taking multivitamins and cod liver oil is this ok?
Do you think there is anything eles I should be including in my diet that I'm missing? I have really cut down tea and limit this to 2 cups only. Replaced this with lemon water or juices and coconut water.
Hoping to attempt 3 times in fertility window. With my girls was always one attempt before ovalution.

Oh ok great!!! If you tend to be underweight you have more leeway.
That bottle is confusing me because the dose says 4500 mg in three pills, so in one pill that would still be more than I like to see. But then on the bottle it says "450 mg" I suspect it's best for us to just get a different kind of fish oil we can be sure on the dose, or take it every couple days instead.
What kind of multivitamins and cod liver oil is your husband using?
You are doing great on diet! If you're happy with that then by all means keep going with it!
Centrums are perfect!

Ok I will look at another brand and for now take a dose then miss for 2 days. What amount do you recommend? Or brand?
Husband multivitamins as centrum brand aswell I will try find picture of cod liver.
Do I need to take Probiotic?
Also is 3 number of attempts good enough in fertility
window?4301143012
Also I dont do any other exercise apart from walking... and the usual runing around after two kids.

500 mg of fish oil. I don't recommend brands as there are just too many all around the world and they're constantly changing formulas.
The cod liver oil is ok for hubby but you shouldn't take it due to the type of Vitamin A added to it. It's best for you to avoid additional Vit. A beyond what is in the Centrum.
Yes probiotics are great!
Three attempts is what I find the best goal. It's doable (people have a hard time doing more than that!) and sways blue in our results!

Are you lifting weights?

Yes I absolutely recommend it. You don't have to go super heavy, even just 1 lb weights, or using your own bodyweight (like pushups and squats) is great.

December 1st, 2020, 02:55 PM
Ok I think I should be ok with pushups and squats. How long should I do this for? 15 to 30mins? Is this daily?
Also how long do I carry on with this diet and supplements after our attempt? Or being pregnant?
Also heard alot about black tea is this blue sway?
Anything additional that will help my sway?

yes, 15-30 minutes 3-5 times per week.
Diet and exercise should be done all month long. Don't stop at ovulation.
The supplements are ok to take during pregnancy (at least the ones I recommend, if you want to give me a list of the stuff you plan to take I'll check it for you) no need to stop them. The higher dose folate you wean off of at the end of the first trimester.
Yes we believe black tea sways blue.

I will give that a go.
I'm only taking the vitamins I have mentioned. I will be getting the probiotics tomorrow so will start that aswell.
Black tea is that any black tea or certain one? Just without milk?
atomic sagebrush
December 3rd, 2020, 01:55 PM
Just any of the regular old black (sometimes this is called "orange pekoe") tea of whatever brand you like.
Even with milk in it. I always have milk in mine and got 4 boys that way. Full fat dairy only

I'm not sure they have that brand here.
Will normal tea do.. brands like Yorkshire tea?
I cut down my tea intake as I thought this sways pink only have two cups daily.
I've started taking my probiotic today so will carry on with these as part of my vitamins.
Hoping to attempt in Decemeber at ovulation.

It is not a brand. It's just a type of tea. It just means regular old tea. It says that on many kinds of regular old tea. I'm just trying to tell you what it might say on the box so you aren't confused if I tell you "black tea" and then you look at the box and see the word "orange" on there. But both are describing the regular cuppa that we all know and love LOL.
Tea sways blue. It's fine to continue at the lower amount 2x a day that's fine. But it's not necessary to cut back.

I just wanted to check I bought this probiotic... just read your message again and you suggested without fiber. I now have these and started them today. Is this a problem? They didnt have any other one apart from this one.430284302943030

Oh yes those do have fiber in them. They'd be great during pregnancy but I'd try to find a different kind for your sway. They're not terrible but just to be on the safest side.

That's just an ingredient in the pill. It's that inulin you want to avoid.

Sorry to chime in. I just came across this...what is it about inulin? I just looked and the probiotic I was taking to sway blue contained inulin. I’m already 9 weeks pregnant so I can’t change anything now but I had no idea about this...I take the daily digestive Culturelle brand.

Also chiming in! Are the attached ok, Atomic? I was taking the probio7 ones with the inulin and soy fibre capsules, not too worried that I’ve been doing so but as I’m about to run out I might as well try to order something better! Thanks so much!

I'm so confused in which one to buy now. So we need something without fibre and inulin?

It's really really a minor concern. Inulin is what they call a "prebiotic" meaning it's a kind of fiber that helps probiotics to live in your intestines. It may even be helpful. It's just that if someone is asking me to buy this product or that product then I'll have them get the one without the fiber in it. But I am probably just being overly conservative. It isn't proven to be a risk and it's just something that occurs to me to avoid.
