Hi girls.
Not sure if anyone is still on here who might remember me but I just wanted to pop in and share our wonderful news. After 3 boys, 6 years of GD and 5 years of swaying ( including two failed sways) we finally have a little girl on the way.
I have to say I had pretty much become disillusioned with swaying having tried it all ( you can search my two last sways on here) so this time was pretty simple.

These are the main points in case they help anyone out there! Not saying these are recommended by the site just that I did them this time.

*I was 20 kg heavier than my previous pre-conception weights.
* Hubby had given up smoking and energy drinks 1 year
prior and put on about 10 kg.
* Skipped breakfast everyday- had two coffees with equal and full day milk
* Waited until around 11 each day to eat but no special diet was used. Still are some meat but mostly chicken.
*Tracked my cycle for 12 months and tried with various cut offs ranging from 3-6 days.
* On my successful conception cycle we had one BD 5 days before O.
* Hubby abstained for 2 weeks
* Used sylk for lubricant
*Hubby had hot shower before bd
* Had been taking Vitex for 13 months
*White wine every night for both me and hubby

I think that is everything! And like I said this is by no means what is recommended on here but this was my last shot so I was prepared to go on forever with cut offs if need be and it just so happens I got real lucky and fell with a huge cut off!

We are over the moon and want to thank atomic and all the wonderful ladies on here that have supported me over the years xx

Congratulations!!! Wow, i hope to get the same luck as you, if i get to convince DH for a #4.
Maybe the "giving up" and not being so strict helped with the sway.

My best wishes with the pregnancy, enjoy buying lots of pink!

:agree: somewhere on here I even suggest that for people who have had opposites in the past. The mental game is so huge for some of us it's hard to let it go when we're planning a sway.

Yes! Even in trying to control our planning natures, we're still trying to be in control!

This is obviously not possible to completely mitigate it. As long as we're not indulging it to the furthest extent that is the important thing.

No just walking boys to school each day. I did full on exercise my last sway and just didn't have the heart to do it this time. I know it sways heavily but it makes me too obsessive I feel.

Having previously battled an eating disorder I think dieting and exercising was counterproductive to my sway. So this time I just let it go and just skipped breakfast.
I really think that our age ( both 40 now), and the one attempt with a cut off did it for us. We are so fertile so by abstaining so long and a huge cut off must have really reduced hubbys sperm count.
Of course I will never really know for sure but in my heart I believe that was the key.
Happy to answer anymore questions xx

I think letting go was so important for me. That's why I stuck to long cut offs I honestly was prepared for no baby and told myself if I fall with a huge cut off it was meant to be and it was!
I truly was prepared to not fall pregnant and that helped me to just let go and place it in the hands of fate.
Obviously this is not a strategy for anyone with their heart set on definitely falling pregnant but for me I had 3 healthy boys and was 40 so I was at peace with that.

I do remember you! This makes me so happy to read.
I think our sways overlapped. It just took me way longer to get and stay pregnant.
Congratulations and welcome to the three boys and girl club!!

I remember you! I think we were on here when I was trying to sway last time too ( I ended up with a beautiful opposite boy !). I'm on here again swaying for our last time in hopes of finally having a daughter!
