First of all, most people are not doing EVERYthing possible to sway. They're doing a wide array of diets, exercise, number of attempts, plus everything either partner brings to the table. Secondly, even under ideal circumstances with swaying, we seem to have a theoretical upper window of between 2/3-3/4 success rate, so luck still has a big part to play. If it was easy to alter the gender ratio 100% of the time with some small changes, the human race would have died out a long time ago.

Is it more common for people to have fraternal twins that are boy/girl or same gender?

Because there is a double chance of b/g twins, they are the most common. But GG twins are more common than BB twins for reasons we aren't too sure of.
