Hi there! I am really struggling at the thought of giving up nursing to take femara. DD is 2 and only nurses at night which is basically just using me as a pacifier since we cosleep (when I pump I get less than 2 ounces, typically just over 1). So I really have to wait the recommended 10 days to resume after the last dose? I honestly am not sure if I have even ovulated given my charts haven’t been biphasic either. Sorry for the long post and TIA!

You don't need to give up breastfeeding to take Femara. It is only a precaution and has never been tested in anything other than cancer patients who take Femara for a very long time. You only take Femara for five days and then it's out of your system and the half-life is short, shorter than with Clomid.

If you are getting your period regularly you are all but certainly ovulating.

If you choose not to take Femara I'd just keep breastfeeding for now and take it later. Do you have a chart I can look at?

But then when did your period arrive in relation to this?

Something doctors never explain is that it can be normal to have small follicles if you are still some time away from ovulation. Even if it isn't the classic CD 14 O, your follicles will stay small till you're ready to ovulate, and then will grow very quickly. So having a small follicle doesn't necessarily mean anything at all if it then grew later on after your scan!
