Hello ladies!

I need some help figuring out the timing with Femara and the trigger shot for ttc a girl. My husband and I will be doing a monitored cycle next month and I am scheduled to ovulate on June 17th (CD 15). I currently use Digital OPKs, LH Strips, and Ovusense for temperature but not sure how helpful this will be during a medicated cycle. I'm able to pin point ovulation using all these tools but not sure how Femara & the trigger shot will influence this.

I've been following LE and doing other sway tactics suggested on this site (also got the girl gender plan) and my husband has also been following a similar diet and taking supplements (OLE).

Does anyone have any experience with monitored cycles?

The OPK will still work with the medicated cycle. Just be sure you don't start testing till the 4th day after your last dose of Femara, because that can give you a false positive OPK. Don't worry, you won't ovulate sooner than teh 5th day after your last dose anyway.

Do you WANT timing methods or are you simply trying to find when you have your one attempt?

Guidance on timing and attempt would be great. Here’s what I was thinking:
June 14th – BD evening (only attempt)
June 15th – 9AM Trigger shot
Ovulation anywhere between June 16 9AM & June 17 9AM
That would give me a 2-3 day cut off

Does this make sense?

How can you predict when you ovulate, though? I would not get wedded to those days!

I suggest having an attempt the day of trigger, but if you want to give it ONE month with cutoff (and are able to - many times you will go in for your ultrasound and they'll do the trigger then and there, it's not always the case to have a day's lead time beforehand) that is at your discretion.

After that first month I strongly suggest ditching the cutoff, which does not work anyway and will really cut your odds of conception. Your call but after one month, I'd go to the day of trigger for attempt.

You typically ovulate 24-36 hrs after a trigger shot that’s how I’m gauging when I ovulate.

I’ll probably ditch the cutoff.
Thanks!

Right, but my point is, how do you know when you're going to get the trigger? You can't know that from here.

I don't want you to decide that you'll for sure have sex certain cycle days because that does not hold steady from month to month necessarily.
