Thanks atomic. I’m starting to come around to the idea of two little girls and I’m very grateful to be pregnant at all!
Having said that I am curious as to why the above may not have worked for me. I wasn’t weight or strength training, having always preferred cardio and since having my first over a year ago I actually lost quite a bit of weight before starting the HE diet.
Or could it have been that we just didn’t DTD enough? Only 4 goes over ovulation period and nothing the whole month before.
Environment may be a factor in this climate and I was quite stressed around conception but is that very influential?
I hope one day we will try again and I’ll be back in touch but would appreciate your thoughts all the same.

Swaying is never 100%, there is an element of luck and also things that are just beyond our ability to affect.
Next time I'd have you drop EPO as we do seem to have had a fair number of opposites with that. And both you and hubby take no more than 500 mg fish oil instead of the traditional 1000 mg. And I would absolutely have you do weights the next time. Especially having lost a lot of weight fairly recently, the weight training can really help.

YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THIS! Had another scan at 28 +6 weeks today. Dr (who has about 35-40 years experience) looked at me aghast and told us we are having a boy!
Showed us his entire and very male anatomy. He was just being very modest in scan a month ago.
So please update our data. This was a successful blue sway, thank you so much!!!!

Hold the phone, how did you come to find out it was supposedly a girl to begin with?
Scans later on in pregnancy are less reliable so I want to be sure you're getting the right info. It is entirely possible the earlier result was the inaccurate one but I want to be sure for your sake so you don't get a surprise in the delivery room.

They were both ultrasounds. The first one at 24 weeks, we asked my Dr to check at the end of the session and write the gender down on paper. Originally we had said we would wait until birth but decided to find out. We went for a walk that night and opened the envelope, picture of what genuinely looked like girl parts and big letters saying GIRL (see below). So for a month we have prepared and planned for a girl.
We go back on Monday for another scan (they scan you monthly in Singapore). Dr is moving around showing us blood flow etc. I kept referring to baby a ‘her’. Dr suddenly stops and asks ‘what did I say this baby was?’. And then she starts apologising and shows us what is very clearly a large scrotum and penis. Dr was mortified! Said it hasn’t happened to her in longer than she can remember. But he is all boy!
We are still in shock but obviously delighted. We had fully come around to idea of another girl and I had even bought matching sister outfits but hey ho, life has a funny way of surprising you sometimes!
Thank you for your insight and your research. Our blue sway 2021 was a great success xoxo

Even 24 weeks is not as reliable for gender.
So is the top picture from the 24 week ultrasound and then the bottom from the later one?? Because I have to admit that both those pictures are WEIRD and not at all what I would use to guess either gender on them. The top pic is clearly cut off to me, the goods not captured (so I can see how someone would guess girl - but there aren't the classic girl parts there either really) and the bottom picture is a disaster, I can't really even tell what I'm looking at on there - I mean, it almost looks like there are quadruplets or something, LOL. I just really do not feel like either of these pictures is adequate for guessing. My hope is that the doctor saw stuff in the later ultrasound that is not captured that indicates a boy baby because I just would not feel good making a guess on that bottom pic without more clarity.

Bottom pick is a potty shot, scrotum and penis on top. She took a pic from every angle to show us. It’s a boy - your theories do work!

I have to agree with Atomic. The first pic is too dark and cut off, no genitalia to see. The second pic is very awkward and most typical landmarks for a potty shot are missing. I can identify a bent leg in the pic, but not much else. While it does look like the “turtle sign” on that view, it also looks oddly positioned. Like, it’s halfway down the thigh and more on top. The “turtle head” is also bent at an angle. On one of my scans I had a similar look in the potty area and panicked thinking I’d been told wrong with one of my twins. Then the tech turned on the Doppler and it was clearly cord balled up down and between her legs. We’ve since seen the same twin clearly with all the girl landmarks.
I’m not saying they were wrong in telling you boy this time, or girl the first time either. They can see a lot more during a live scan than we can on a printout. I’m just saying the images they provided as the “evidence” are very odd views and not what we like to see for determination. Hopefully they are correct for you.

I wouldn’t dare have let myself believe it unless she showed me several times that it was clinically proven, beyond any doubt this was a boy. So we even went back 20 minutes later for her to get a better angle and she could show me in full detail, moving all around. She even did 3D. Pics aren’t the most clear but I’d think it’s quite hard to get a pic that’s perfect at 29 weeks which is when the last pic was taken.

Yep, sounds like she saw it for sure in the ultrasound, just that ~I~ wouldn't guess on that pic. Huge congrats!

Yep that's the thing, the techs/docs see WAYYY more in the ultrasounds than we can possibly see on here. We're just trying to look out for you - having seen some people end up being told bad info - but it sounds as if you're in great hands! Congrats again!
